It pisses me off that they never officially told us what teams everyone was on for Grand Festival. They did for Splatocalypse (and confirmed Commander Tartar to be alive, plus foreshadowed Mr. Grizz as the next antagonist, at that).

I've rectified this, so the above tier list is what team (Past, Present or Future) I think every Splatoon character would join.

EDIT: Oh shit, I forgot ORCA, Shelly, Donny and Fred Crumbs. I think Shelly and Donny would both be on Past because (A) they're ancient organisms and (B) they like Uncle Sheldon and want to join his team. Fred Crumbs would be on Present, he's just a cool guy who stands in the here and now selling shoes. ORCA would be on Future. It's ancient, but it eagerly awaits the evolution of new life, unlike Cmdr. Tartar who got jaded with it all. Added them now.

Callie, Marie, Pearl, Marina, Shiver, Frye, Big Man: Officially confirmed.

Agent 8: Very optimistic for the future after escaping the Octarian army and Kamabo Co.

Zapfish (normal and Great): Without them, Inkopolis has no future.

Iso Padre and the denizens of the deep: They ride a subway called Desire, unsure of where it will take them.

Acht: Deliberately got themself blended into a homogenous green hivemind to enhance their musical abilities. Very transhuman-ish.

L'il Judd: The first mammal birth in 12,000 years. Is probably plotting to conquer the world for his own aspirations.

Bisk: He can move on from his girlfriend, he can move on in life.

Jel La Fleur: Hip little jelly dude, but new.

Tonight, you and Shiver were checking the mail, seeing which events you were invited to and which ones you actually wanted to go to (as famous celebrities do).

"Anything interesting on your end?" Shiver asked, leaning on your shoulder and looking over it. You held up an invitation to a convention that its creators would like you to attend. It was in super fancy, almost unintelligible writing, but you were able to get a gist of it all. "It says (F/N) ploose-oh-ney."

".. Eh? What did you say there?"

You shifted to face her properly, trying to make sense of the words signed on the bottom. "Ploose-oh-ney. That's what it looks like it says." Shiver asks to see the invite, and you hand it to her. She looks puzzled as she attempts to decrypt the fancy writing.

After a moment, she lets out an audible 'oh!' and hands the invitation back to you. "It says 'plus one'." You take the fancy letter back and put it close to your face. "Really?" It took you a while to see it.

"The fancy writing didn't help with that, to be honest." Shiver admitted. You looked up at her and set the invitation down in your lap. "Well, if we do ever go to that special event.."

You grinned from ear to ear and leaned on her. "I would love for you to be my ploose-oh-ney."

Shiver couldn't help but turn a bright inky red at the comment. Believe it or not, she gets flustered really easily. She hides behind her fan and begins to aggressively fan herself. "A-ah! Thank you, (N/N). Now, I, uh.. I think it'd be best if we kept searching just in case we find anything better!"

You shrugged and set the note aside, creating a 'good pile' and completely oblivious to what you had done to your poor lover.

World-building splatoon headcanons Pt. 1 Splatsville

-Splatsville schools teach Applied Fiber Arts and Topmorphology, as well as Culinary Skills and Recycle Shop. Unlike traditional home ec classes, they aren't split by gender, and because of that, a majority of Splatsville citizens know how to use a sewing machine, and exactly why tandem tees and color blocked shirts are common.

Recycle shop teaches students how to take duct tape, broken stuff, tools, welding equipment, and random objects to make into furniture. All three members of Deep Cut Actually enjoyed Recycle shop.

-Jel La Fleur's hometown was cashless and made it difficult for the unemployed to shop for things they need and clothes for job interviews, which is why Man o' Wardrobe accepts things like Food Stamps and EBT, but not credit or debit cards.

-Robo ROM-en opened up near Barnacle and Dime as a competitor to Anarchy Ramen. Bisk worked there, and he doesn't want to know what the ramen is made of.

-"Splatsville Weirdo" is the gender-neutral equivalent of "Florida Man" in their world. Most take it as a compliment.
