How do you think an extra flexible spinr would factor into walking around on two feet? Cus I feel like it might strain the muscles over time from the stress of keeping everything up right (Back braces are maybe common? A functional use for corsets that isnt squeezing all your innards?)

They aren't quite obligate carnivores. They do need to eat meat to stay healthy, vegetarian diet would kill them slowly, but they can eat more varied foods than real cats do, and can work with smaller persentage of meat in their diet, as long as they do get that taurine and vitamins.

(On a flip side, they make their own vitamin C, so no scurvy! Yay!)

They can go either bipedal or quadrupedal, though sticking to biped mode is more common when living in human towns.

They are originally from this absolutely massive forest, where they basically move as well horizontally on ground as they do vertically in trees, so they're built for more varied locomotion. Their own towns tend to be in the style of treehouses connected by bridges or ropes.

Many town dwellers who don't live in trees fix this by alternating stances, going upright on public and all fours on private. Many also wear these... Uh, how'd you call them... Wide belt thingies/cloth tubes that cover their torso from hips to ribs. For cultural reasons. Totally. And not just to help keep their spine in place...
