Evak Fics - Christmas 2019
Christmas fics posted in 2019 (Includes non-English fics)
Julaften 19:06-01:21 by YellowSpatula (2.8k words) - A lot of people don't like Christmas, and Isak's no exception. Something that is exceptional, though, at least if he gets to say so himself, is that he has an Even who cares about him. Or, Isak's alone at Christmas Eve until he's not.
you're one of the few things that I'm sure of by Skamtrash (17k words) - Isak has created a good life for himself. Sure, his job isn't ideal and university is stressful but hes created this life on his own. He enjoys the luxury of solitude and feeling safe. In comes Even, a felon with, baggage who knows exactly what he wants.
it's not the same anymore by eggsntoast (55k words) - After a bad break up, Isak goes on vacation to get away from his life for the holidays. Here, in a small cottage in Bergen, after agreeing to swap-houses with a stranger online, he expects to find peace in the solitude; to be able to spend a minute alone and just relax. He doesn't have to think about anything other than himself -- and really, he didn't think this through. When he's about to give up and head home, a midnight appearance from a stranger leaves him breathless and questioning everything he's ever known about love. And suddenly, it's not the same anymore. (loosely inspired by 'the holiday')
O jul med din glede by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 3k words) - Julegrantenning i Ausvika.
ever since new york by noeller (1k words) - "I told my friend how cute you are in my native language and it turns out that you understood me"
Jul i Vinterland by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 4k words) - Isak og Even drar på julemarkedet (Jul i Vinterland) ved Spikersuppa.
Juleverksted by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 4k words) - Amalie og Andreas kommer på juleverksted hos Isak og Even.
i believe in a place you take me by MinilocIsland (3k words) - It's not like Even would forget to pay their electricity bill on purpose just to have Isak look at him like that. But now that he did - well, he might as well make the most of it.
First Star of Christmas by Laika_the_husband (5k words) - This is a one-year-later sequel to The first star you see may not be a star. Short recap: Isak can't handle being touched, because of his traumatic childhood. Him and Even make do. You can read this without reading the angst fest of a fic that First star is, but if you can handle angst, I highly recommend it. (Agreed. Highly, highly recommend part 1. Loved that fic!)
Falling by martls (4k words) - There’s a snowstorm in Oslo, and all flights are cancelled. Even works at the airport and just wants to go home after his shift, but he’s stuck at the airport because of the weather.Isak’s flight to Bergen is cancelled and he can’t be home for Christmas. They spend the night together, wandering through the airport, and Even realizes that not only the snow is falling tonight.
Du er en engel by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 3.5k words) - Isak og Even pynter juletre.
(WIP) At The Same Time in a Different Universe by cami_soul (Last Update in 2019) - What if… What if in this universe Isak is a lonely and bitter man, who can’t come out to anyone - even himself? Will the magic of Christmas and a glimpse into another universe help him?
Julestrømpa by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 3k words) - Isak trenger hjelp til å lage Evens julestrømpe. Hvem tar man kontakt med da? Guruen sin så klart. Isak og Eskild skyper.
last christmas, I gave you my art by orphan_account (4k words) - "Who do you have for Secret Santa?" "Your mom," Isak bites back. -Even attends a Christmas party, and gets a few more Christmas miracles than he bargained for this year.
Seasons Greetings by bri_ness (2k words) - Isak thinks he's alone over winter break until he hears the worst kind of Christmas music from 308's room. Even thinks he's alone over winter break until he receives a passive aggressive Christmas card under his door.
Julefrokost by mazarin01 (In Norsk, 4k words) - Isak skal spise frokost før jobb. På kjøkkenet treffer han Sigrid, Evens mamma.
apricots by nearlyacloud (1k words) - Christmas is always hard with a loved one gone. How amazing it is to have someone to support you along the way. Or: Even has lost his aunt, but Isak is there to bring warmth to his holidays.
you’re my home by cammm (1k words) - A small glimpse into Isak + Even’s Christmas together
down till dawn by Skamtrash (1.5k words) - Even and Isak have sex the morning after christmas with his family still in the house
On Christmas morning by Lokkanel (900 words) - Isak and Even wake up in each other's arms on Christmas morning.

So I'm going to Norway soon and need your tips on what the best places to visit are, pretty please? I might just bring you back a nice tall Norwegian man as thanks. 🙃
oh my god YES. Norway is one of my favourite countries I have ever visited. I tend to always visit around Christmas time so a lot of my activities are more for winter time.
Definitely go to Bergen--god, Bergen is the most beautiful thing that you ever did see. Take a fjord tour if you can, Norway has so much natural beauty. Visit Preikestolen if you’re brave enough (I’m terrified of heights so that was a big FUCK NO for me). Go hiking everywhere you can. Gorge yourself on the incredible brunches that Scandinavia is so amazing for. GO TO GLASMAGASINET AND GET LOST FOR DAYS IN THAT STORE. Walk around all that area in Oslo--I lost myself for days in the little shops and cafes there.
In the winter I just went to Spikersuppa and sat there with a glögg (or 9), wrapped in a blankie, and people watched. It was incredible.
