Spidernoir!Peter likes watching you in the morning when you first get up. He closes the windows to make the room a bit quieter but you still wake up eventually. He likes running his hands through your hair and down your back. His hands are always numb until you press your lips against his fingers. Suddenly he can feel again.

Ok for the people who have read the spidernoir comics specifically the first ones(and it’s been awhile so correct me if I’m wrong) but did anyone else think Felicia and Peter had a weird relationship?
Don’t get me wrong across the board/universes they have a very complex and complicated relationship and I love that for them! But let’s focus on the 90214 earth or noir universe. So we meet Peter right, exact age I don’t think is specified but it’s largely implied high school age. Then we meet Felicia, again age not specified but she’s portrayed as a lounge singer past her prime and is running the Black Cat speakeasy. So we know she’s been around a bit. But then we find out she’s Ben Urich’s ex or ‘old flame’. Which makes the Peter Felicia relationship weird because it could be argued that Urich becomes a type of father figure after Ben Parker’s passing. To clarify sleeping with your new(also newly dead at that point)father figure’s ex girlfriend IS FUCKING WEIRD. Now next, Urich, again no age, is at least 40s if not 50s or older, and I’m leaning older because it’s implied he’s been working with Jonah for a long ass time and they are equals in terms of experience. Jonah is usually portrayed in his 50s-60s. So how old exactly is Felicia to be Urichs longtime on again off again girlfriend? To add to this Felicia seems very well established with a lot of experience in the underground and crime scene.
Now let’s circle back: when Peter meets Felicia he is very much a teenager and implied to be under 18. Felicia is his somewhat father figure/bosses ex girlfriend, who meets Peter through her ex boyfriend, and then sleeps with Peter pretty soon after her ex dies. Felicia is implied to at least be in her 30s if not older following context clues.
Again we have no real timeline for anything and no confirmed ages so its definitely up to interpretation. There are a lot of plot holes in the spidernoir comics in general but this is one that has always bugged me, especially since a lot of people really like the noir spideycat ship. And they do have a couple of sweet moments throughout the noir comics and I do love them in other universes but I can’t get over the ick in this one.
I wanna hear peoples opinions on this so please comment or reblog with your thoughts and takes!

The whole squad when Noir start talking about Vulture biting the heads off chickens and eating Uncle Ben and then he realizes that the cannibalism part actually isn't apart of the canon event and that's just a Him Thing

Due to what little on-screen interactions we see between Noir Peter (Pete) and Peni in ITSV, it's no surprise that a lot of people have agreed upon the popular fanon of them being a sort of father-daughter duo (or, for those who subscribe a bit more to Pete being younger due to the comics, a sibling-like relationship). It's cute so I support it, but it got me thinking about the two in comparison to eachother, specifically in terms of corrupt systems and how they're handled in their stories. I think the two have a bit more a contrast than just the surface level stuff, so let's look into it!
(Essay + comic panel evidence beneath the cut)
From the very start of Peni's (unfortunately short) comics, she's shown as very resigned to her fate - when brought in to discuss her father and her future "career" in the SP//DR program, she's upfront and blunt; My father is dead, and I'm the only one who can replace him, so I will. It's a foregone conclusion, and one she doesn't shy away from.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, even though we see how, throughout the comics, she's basically given no life beyond her work, and even her school hours are eaten into, she's told again and again that all of this cost means something.
She has to sacrifice everything, because there's no other choice. Her own Guardians, her Uncle Ben and Aunt May, work for the very organization that her father did, and persist to remind her of the importance of the job, even if they do try to remind her that she can't handle this alone. Very telling, when faced with threats to the multiverse, she briefly asks her Uncle Ben if she should stay with him, only for him to tell her to go.
Tumblr media
Duty calls.
This isn't the point of this, but of course she joined Spider HQ and went along with what Miguel was telling her - she's grown up surrounded by very like-minded, sacrifice-willing adults. Of course she has to do this. What other option is there?
On the other end, Pete is quite the opposite of Peni's story. Yes, 100%, like all Spiderpeople, there's the element of responsibility, that looming recognition that not doing what you can gets people hurt, but while Peni's story is set up so that she's fighting for her system of authority, Pete is unsurprisingly against his. At any point that he can, even pre-spiderbite, he's picking fights and trying to fix things. He's so set in his beliefs and outspoken that he makes his own mentor question his actions, constantly in pursuit of a better world.
It's the responsibility of the people to give a shit, and Pete cares so much that it drives him a bit mad, I think.
Tumblr media
Where Peni is told that this is the way things work, Pete is demanding that it change, asking questions. Peni was raised to accept her responsibility, whereas Pete was raised to fight against the expected status quo.
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THEIR RESPECTIVE BENS.
I'll try keeping this fragment of a thought short because we're already clocking in 6 paragraphs pre-edits and I need to feed the dogs their dinner soon, but the TLDR is that Uncle Ben is the last surviving legal Guardian of Peni, and though distant, he tries his best to support her while she's in the SP//DR program. Pete's Uncle Ben is, by no such surprise, dead, but specifically, he was a WWI veteran, decorated but guilty.
Tumblr media
Uncle Ben is, in the Noir comics, yet another symbol of how doing what you're told can haunt you. He was very vocally against the war machine he was a part of, while Peni's Ben has known nothing else but his work.
This is how completely dead opposite they are in so many regards. They contrast eachother!! It's really interesting! Honestly, I could see Pete getting into an argument with Peni's Ben over how she's been treated, even if it probably wouldn't go well. He cares too much to keep his mouth shut, often.

In my last ask, someone asked for either Peter/Noir with Cats and/or Ding Ding. I saved the Cats for this! Hope ya'll like it, it's relatively messy but I've been pressed for time and motivation as of late so this is the best I can do

Another point to my noir is on the younger side post: I said in that post that ITSV happened in between his first and second comic. Some more evidence for this is he didn’t immediately kill Olivia Octavious. Yes she is very different than his world’s Doc Ock, but I do not think he would care if ITSV took place after his second run, Eyes Without A Face.

Detectives AU. How i mentioned before, in this AU they're both detectives from the 30's. In this lore Peter falls in love first with Peiky, but she's not interest in him at all, instead, she's in love with SpiderNoir since the day he saved her. But as she and Peter work together she starts seeing him a different way too. Oh poor girl, who's gonna tell her? 👀 Xd

How NoirPunk Meets - Hobie Brown x Noir!Peter Parker Headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: listen okay these two just hear me out- just listen i swear these two are perfect for each other on god i promise just trust me
also i be calling noir peter if thats okay i dont really see that much
—————————————————
So let's just be honest they're a large part of why the other sticks around in the society, and I wouldn't be surprised if -
Hobie was the one that finally got Noir!Peter to join
I really like the idea that Hobie was the thing that convinced him to join.
I mean, Peter has his own shit going on, he's not just fighting Goblin and the usual villains - he's actively trying to stop a fascist regime and thought system.
I could absolutely see the society approaching him multiple times, and Peter just declining. He's the brooding type to work alone, and (aside from learning about color), it wouldn't be surprised if he was just uncomfortable with this whole 'secret society of superhumans that controls the flow of history' thing...because, y'know
So as a last ditch effort, Miguel and Jess ask Lyla whose left and who's algorithmically their best bet at recruiting him
And Lyla is like '..You know who ;) '
Miguel is like 'Jesus Christ anyone but him' - because they barely send Hobie on missions for a reason!! He's a huge wildcard
and convincing Hobie to recruit someone else is a whole different story for another time
Hobie went to Peter's universe already planning to have him as an ally
It was only after they debriefed him on Spider-Noir and what he does that Hobie agreed
Even from his case file - which Hobie thinks it's creepy they have that but whatever - Hobie admired him and his activism
SO much of world theory and social understanding developed from the thirties onward, so already he'd feel a connection and understanding, being almost impressed by Noir
And despite what he lets on to Miguel, Hobie is smart and informed as fuck, and from his large knowledge of world history, so he already knew what he was getting into
But the first time he stepped into Noir's universe it was like turning the world on its head
It really shocked Hobie, which is pretty hard to do
It was like going from the world's loudest room to dead silence. It's a kind of serenity that kind of puts Hobie at ease. The rain, the darkness, the quiet, all that
Which is why Peter comes home one night to Hobie just chilling in his apartment like it's nothing
He's just laid out on the couch like 'Oh great, for a second I thought The Man was going to have you working all night.'
And like COME ONNNN could you imagine from Peter's POV
Working literally all night, tired as hell, coming home to the dark of his apartment with the rain outside, and he just finds Hobie, vibrant and pink on his couch, his color the only thing in the room
Usually Peter turned away all the others from the society, but he felt like Hobie might be different
So he let him stay, and offered to hear him out
But what's supposed to be a recruitment pitch turns into hours of Hobie and Peter at Peter's kitchen table, shooting the shit and talking about anything
Peter makes them some coffee as Hobie looks over Peter's book collection, smiling at the ones filled with Peter's notes and thoughts in the margins
Peter is almost taken a back, because Hobie is so bold and out there and worldly
He's surprised to meet someone actually interested in justice - real, actual justice - and equality. Someone whose ready to talk about it so openly and say 'hey fuck this amiright'
It's SO refreshing to Peter
He's impressed that Hobie has all of this vocabulary, describing complex ideals that were still being formed and whispered about in 1933.
In a universe full of rain and shadows and shades of grey, meeting Hobie is like falling into an oil painting for Peter. He's full of color and humor and ease and confidence - his humor is scathing and honest, and Hobie's the first one to make Peter laugh at a joke about anti-capitalism
The first night they meet they kinda just get lost in each other
And UHHHH yeah they keep going
Hobie comes back the first night and tells Miguel that he's 'still staking Noir out', not telling him they've actually met
And for the next four nights, Hobie came over to Noir's place, just to see him, and talk
Peter knows why Hobie's there, and Hobie isn't trying to hide it. In the beginning he tells Noir straight up that he's here for recruitment, that he thinks it's bullshit, and that eventually he's going to do something about it
But he asks Noir to join because, yeah, Hobie likes him a lot, and he wants to see him more. And he thinks he'd be one of the most valuable allies to have, ever.
Noir is literally his comrade.
And Noir agrees (, but he probably will have some terms and conditions to take up with Miguel later, like the kind of missions he will do, the amount of time he can and can't spend away from his dimension, etc)
But for the next four nights, they spend it just with each other, learning each other and trading ideas, drinking coffee in Peter's apartment and listening to vinyls
And they just make each other so soft
Sometimes, Hobie brings papers from his world to show Peter
The third time he visits, Hobie brings him a stack of zines - colorful little booklets full of collages and bold ink
On some nights, Hobie reads over Peter's first drafts at his kitchen table, watching Peter make coffee on the stove, the old-fashioned way
People at the Bugle start to notice that even if it's subtle, Peter seems more at ease and easygoing, and he has DOZENS of new, forward thinking ideas in his writing that he's excited about
Meanwhile Hobie's been in a great mood (which Miguel hates cause he's a hater like that)
He asks Hobie for a status report, and Hobie smuggly tells him that the missions accomplished
And Lyla is grinning her little ass off because OF COURSE she knew that algorithmically they're romantically compatible
(And YES Lyla sets up mission teams based on her own little matchmaker algorithm without Miguel's permission because she thinks its funny)
From then on Noir requests he either be assigned solo missions or missions with Hobie
And they go around HQ calling each other their 'partner' and neither refuses to elaborate any further
Mission partner? Dating partner? Partner-in-crime? ALL THREE.
__________
im obsessed with these geniuses. look at what they've done to me (and by they I mean myself I've done this to myself)
hi thxs for reading also this was not proofread so if you see a typo my adhd says no you didnt
