Blood itself doesn't do anything for Peter, but biting is almost a primal instinct and once he's clamped on, it's very difficult for him to let go.

And injecting venom straight from his fangs gives Peter the same level of euphoria as an orgasm would. A big enough release of venom leaves Peter completely fucked out and experiencing something close to subspace.

As for Wade, he absolutely gets addicted to Peter's venom, but not in the typical physical sense. He gets addicted to the quality of life improvement-

Firstly, it's one one of the few drugs that has an effect on him (still short considering his healing factor but way longer than anything on the market!)

And Secondly, not only does Spidey's venom act as an extremely powerful painkiller, it also helps slow down Wade's sense of time so he can enjoy it. Wade sleeps a full 7 hours for the first time in decades.

All that's left is to stop Spidey from spiraling into a full blown panic attack and running away anytime his fangs graze Wade.

it is genuinely the most stupid thing that kids are taught from a young age to be scared of and devalue the lives of bugs like. i am 100% sure that if kids were taught instead that insects + other crawly little things are just smaller animals that are deserving of respect and admiration as much as, like, deer or birds or squirrels, the world would be so much better. none of them are out to get you. none of them will seek you out to hurt you. that's a precious waste of resources for such a tiny creature. they're concerned with finding food and a place to rest. BUG IS ANIMAL. JUST CHILLLLLLLLLLLL

I just realised that in the first movie, the spider that bit Miles WAS GLITCHING!!! Hinting that yes, it’s a spider from another dimension

I can totally see Peter draining some of his venom before going out, because he might see Wade. Like you know those cup things with rubber or something on the top, that they use to extract venom from venomous snakes? Yeah, I can see him not wanting to risk using to much in case him and Wade... You know? And he doesn't want to hurt him to much.

Peter has done that before! But unfortunately, to no avail. His body is always generating venom at a steady rate, and he uses it as to power his physical abilities/webs/stingers- so if he drains less than he generates, it won't matter, but if he drains a huge amount all at once, he's leaving himself incredibly vulnerable in combat.

Also you'd be shocked, but H!Spidey has not bitten any of his enemies. He has way too many hang-ups and fears surrounding the damage his venom can do + the vulnerability of leaving himself so open/weak afterwards.

Thankfully, Wade needs huge amounts of venom to experience the debilitating side effects, but Peter still has like 10 miles of mental wall to break down before he can get there.
