Amajiki Tamaki With An S/O Who Has Trichotillomania

Request: “Tamaki Amajiki with a s/o who has adhd and trichtillomania. Like they have terrible impulse control and pulls their hair automatically and it stresses them out? (That’s my case rn.)”

Tamaki is super understanding in general, but he’s particularly understanding when it comes to nervous habits

Yours being trichotillomania doesn’t bother him in the slightest

Honestly, he barely even notices the physical effects

He was pretty surprised the first time you told him you were self conscious about it

He has quite a few of them himself, who is he to judge?

Not that he’d judge you for it anyway, he’d never want you to feel self-conscious around him

Though, that doesn’t mean he’s going to let you hurt yourself with it

After you point it out to him, he becomes pretty vigilant

Tamaki understands why you do it, but he also understands that it’s harmful

So he does his best to help you avoid pulling without making you feel bad for it!

Usually, he does so by trying to distract your hands when he notices that you’re getting stressed

Poor boy is always flustered by holding your hand, but he’ll deal with it since it’s to help you

Just don’t point it out

He would most definitely end up in the corner to hide his embarrassment

(while he’s still holding your hand, of course)

If holding your hand in his own isn’t enough to soothe your stress, you better believe that Tamaki is prepared with fidget/stim toys

He carries one with him anyway (Mirio got him one a while ago and honestly they help so much with his own anxiety),  so he’d be more than happy to give one to you!

If you like using the fidget toy he gave you, he’d get this small but adorable prideful grin

He was able to help you!!

Though, sometimes distraction isn’t enough

Sometimes your stress builds enough that you can’t help but pull at your hair, and that just makes you even more upset

In those situations, Tamaki finds himself being a bit more bold than he ever thought he could be

As long as you’re okay with being touched while you’re upset, he’s quick to pull you into his arms

He holds you close with one arm, using his free hand to carefully rub your scalp- paying extra attention to where you’ve pulled

He knows your scalp must be sore, so he tries to soothe that discomfort so you feel less inclined to touch your hair

Hopefully, if you don’t touch your head, you won’t be as likely to end up pulling your hair again

For someone who’s so timid, he’s surprisingly intuitive when it comes to comforting you

He’s great at doing everything you need him to without even realizing it

Even after you’ve calmed down, he’s reluctant to let you go

He doesn’t just want to make sure you aren’t going to hurt yourself, he also wants to make sure you’re feeling okay in general

Tamaki doesn’t think much of helping you with your trichotillomania

You might feel self conscious about it, but he just considers it a part of being there for his lover, you know?

He loves you, why wouldn’t he want to help you?

He just wants to make sure you’re doing well, and he’s willing to do anything he can to help you

Was listening to some Celtic music today (Riverdance vibes) while also thinking about Star Wars, and this conversation happened inside my brain:

The Art Muse: Rex in a kilt.

Me: Okay. Keep talking...

Art Muse: The tartan has to be 501st blue with white and black.

Me: Is there already a tartan like that? *Checks Google* Well, there are a few with those colors, but I'm not really vibing with them.

Art Muse: So why not design your own?

Me: Yeah, okay.

So I did. And here are the results. I designed a main tartan for the 501st in general, and some variants for Rex, Anakin, and Ahsoka specifically. I even Google Translated some Scots Gaelic names for them because.... reasons.

Basic Abhainn A' Ruith tartan. (Torrent. But literally translates to "rushing river", because Google Translate did not have a direct translation into Scots Gaelic for the word "torrent".)

Abhainn A' Ruith tartan, Speuradair variant. (Skywalker. Should be self explanatory.)

Abhainn A' Ruith tartan, Righ variant. (King. Because "Rex" is Latin for "King". Yes, I know it's the blatantly obvious choice to name this one. Sorry, not sorry.)

And finally....

Abhainn A' Ruith tartan, Gun Bhròn variant. (Without Sorrow. Because according to what I found in my quick Google search, the name "Ahsoka" comes from the Sanskrit for "without sorrow". Bonus fun fact - "Ahsoka" is, according to Google Translate, also Arabic for "I feel you".)

If anyone wants to use these, they're welcome to do so.
