Which cq characters had the biggest redesing or their lore change alot?
I'm treating this as a seperate question from the previous ask-- past tense, and focusing more on the lore part.
Vilmr had a huge change in his lore a long while back. Maja was not in the picture at all-- she was purely Foxglove's chosen host-- and Vilmr was essentially a wildchild. He was meant to stumble into the group one day post-Fault and serve as an erratic source of prophetic visions through the lense of his delusions. He still has those, but now it's been nurtured, controlled, and honed (and explained a lot better in my opinion) by the help of his now-guardian Maja.
Leon was originally gonna be the one that cracked Taylor's gay egg, but that was when Taylor was a more significant character, and also I grew up and realised Leon was never gonna be Taylor's type lol. This doesn't have much to do with their lore, it just crossed my mind.
Speaking of Taylor though, he was originally a lot more of an exploratory character. Idolizing the universe equivalent of icon Indiana Jones, had his own whip, took the end of the world as an excuse to go cave spelunking and to explore ancient ruins, had a deep interest in archeology. He still likes those sorts of things in theory, but mostly through forms of media like comics and movies instead. He's much more reserved and focused on other aspects of his life now in the current version.
Brook used to be an extreme technophobe. She grew up in an extremely anti-tech/magic family, and made it her life's mission to make it as difficult as possible for people around her to use those sorts of things as a result. She still grew up with this background, but she's been made to be much more rebellious in newer iterations. Now she sneaks out at night to see what the world really has to offer, outside of the ideas her parents feed her mind with. So she's a lot more open to the concepts, but still just as ignorant about most of it. Her first time ever riding in a car is the moment she's introduced, being saved by Hannah's van. And keep in mind, cars are considered somewhat archaic technology in the modern day universe, so just imagine what she ends up getting exposed to throughout the story, haha...
These are just some that come to mind, there's probably a lot more but I'll save those stories for another day.

Avatar species I thought of making that may or may not be a part of my fic 👀
Species: Na'vi, Olumbatka
(oh-loome-baut-cah)
Habitat: Various cave systems underground or even above ground like in the floating mountains.
Temper/hostility: They're eyesight is terrible so they mostly recluse in their caves, but are friendly to other non-hostile clans who approach them.
Spirit sister/brother:
1) Due to their partial blindness their kind befriended squirrel like creatures who, when queue connected, grant them better eyesight through their own eyes. As if they are seeing the world in a second POV.
2) Like most other clans, they also ride Ikran, but only very skilled and select groups of Olumbatka are chosen to be Ikran riders due to poor eyesight, but with the right training and trust built between rider and Ikran, they can become an excellent warrior and even fight alongside Jake against Quaritch in the protection of the tree of souls.
3) There are hairless bear-like creatures that live in the caves and are also peaceful with the Olumbatka people. They are often good spirit sisters/brothers because they are skilled warriors, protectors, and hunters to help bring in a supply of food.
Body type/details:
1) Olumbatka tend to be shorter than other species of Navi, mainly because it makes it easier when they discover a new cave system and make them liveable.
2) The patterns on their skin tend to be sharp angled and very symmetrical, no one really knows why. Their skin is dark purple, it varies from periwinkle (newborns mostly) to an eggplant or raisin color as you get older. The clan thinks this is because you grow wiser and closer to Eywa at an older age so she grants you with a beautiful deep purple complexion.
3) They have bat-like features, including a pointed nose, brown/black eyes, and larger ears with small hairs in them to pick up sound waves. They are able to make very high pitched calls, they try to only use them while spelunking or when you might be lost from your clan.
I'm going to draw out sketches of all the animals and also clothing variety!!

[ciswoman, she/her] Welcome to Aurora Bay, [RAELYNN “RAE” YUN]! I couldn’t help but notice you look an awful lot like [ASHLEY PARK]. You must be the [THIRTY-TWO] year old [ATTENDANT AT SEASALT SPA]. Word is you’re [DARING] but can also be a bit [STUBBORN] and your favorite song is [SHOOTOUT (SPED UP) BY IZZAMUZZIC, JULIEN MARCHAL]. I also heard you’ll be staying in [AURORA BAY DRIVE]. I’m sure you’ll love it!
The Yun family were no strangers to having fun. It was a priority for them to make the most out of life and enjoy what they could! Afterall, the world was this big and awful place, so you had to find your own joy. That’s what Raelynn’s father used to tell her. He also used to tell her that life was beautiful and it was an adventure, you just had to choose to see it that way.
Born and raised in California, Raelynn made sure she made the most of her life. She was a good student and she had no issue making friends. Her first rush of adrenaline came when she was a teenager and she went on her first extreme roller coaster at the theme park her father worked for. He’d helped design the coaster and he told her how intense it was and she was so excited to check it out. While her sister hated it and swore to never go on another ride like that again, Raelynn just wanted more.
There was something about that rush, the way doing something potentially dangerous like that gave her such a high and made her feel more alive than ever. She began to crave it and she wanted it so desperately that she was going to find it wherever she could. She would skateboard and spend her weekends at the skatepark, doing tricks and grinding on railings. It helped her get her fix, but she would often visit the amusement park her father worked for because she was able to get free passes for it because of him. But after he quit his job and they moved to Aurora Bay, Raelynn didn’t get to go to parks like that as often as she used to. She had to find other things to get her fix for fun and craziness. She continued skateboarding and she even took up rock climbing. But she wanted to get out of her little town and see the big and beautiful world while also doing the daring things she wanted.
It was after Raelynn met Reggie that she finally started traveling. The two would go from place to place and she was finally getting that life she wanted. Raelynn would find the most daring excursion for their trips and she’d do them. Whether it was bungee jumping or free climbing or swimming with sharks, she was out there doing it. But what really caught Raelynn’s attention was spelunking.
Raelynn met a group of people who loved cave diving and she happily joined them on a few excursions, which led to her obsession. With tight spaces to crawl through and the mere knowledge of the dangers making it all the more exciting. They would always go looking for new places to explore and they always came out of it unscathed. Raelynn’s mother always hated how she was constantly pushing that boundary, always tempting fate. And she would tell Raelynn that she needed to slow down because she wasn’t always going to be so lucky.
Raelynn never listened and it took a terrible accident for her to realize her mother was right. You could only tempt fate so much before it tried to snatch you away.
On one of her cave diving excursions, there was a terrible accident. Rocks crumbled on the group, several were injured, and one member of their group got stuck. It took hours and hours for them all to be set free, but one member of their group didn’t make it, having passed a few hours after rescue. There was something about this and a few other close calls leading up to it that really scared Raelynn. Maybe she did need to calm down and ease up on constantly seeking out thrills. When she came to Reggie and told him that she wanted to slow down, maybe stay in one place for a while or maybe even go back home to Aurora Bay, it turned into an argument and ultimately ended in heartache. Raelynn went home to Aurora Bay and Reggie went on to do his own thing.
Now Raelynn has sworn to do her own thing and try to calm down and find her fulfillment elsewhere. She was even so desperate to calm down that she got a job at the most relaxed place she could think of, the Sea Salt Spa. But Raelynn still craves that adventure and she feels it calling to her, she’s just too scared to pursue it.
wanted connections:
friends
old spelunking buddies
friends trying to get her back into her old hobbies like cave diving and bungee jumping and all (she still rock climbs)
neighbors
sister

what's your plot idea for the tmnt western spoof!! it's a really neat concept
i almost forgot to answer this ackgh. i blabber a lot so im throwing this under a cut
it all started with fallout new vegas, so this was originally gonna be more mellow in tone? (basically what if the krangpocalypse happened in california instead of nyc and lone wanderer leo picked up this scrawny little kid who was wandering around looking for his mom)
but then through a combination of Understimulted Brain Moment where i ran laps around my house + staring at tv tropes did a dumb plot arise in my head. this is what it was:
so the boys are a group of outlaws doing their usual petty crime. a rival gang (meant to represent the foot but idk if theyd be called that) are holding casey and cassandra as hostages (cassandra had tried to defect from the group). the boys take pity on them and wanna get back at the gang, but only manage to free casey. when they take the kid they learn the two had tried to leave with the Key, which opens an ancient vault to the mystical 'dark armor'. while the gang keeps the Key, casey luckily has a map on him. in the boys' mind, they just want to find it and sell it, while casey wants to go save cass. so its a race to the vault, with hijinks along the way (i still need to think of specific ideas but literally anything could work here. shootouts/fun bar fights, randomly spelunking in a booby trapped cave, idk i need to do some more tv tropes reading). leo and casey end up bonding the most, and at the end when everyones scrambling for the key, leo convinces the rest of the boys to get cassandra while the rival gang gets into the vault. im picturing a big shredder fight, and theres a fake out where cassandra and casey reunite and leo says his teary goodbyes and gives casey his hat or something and says some corny shit like "take care of yourself, little lone ranger". but then cassandra puts it back on his head and is like "yknow what... i think we can stick around with you guys for a while" and they all ride off into the sunset. yeehaw
oh also i need to design her but i think april should be a sherrif or a mayor of some kind. like, she knows the boys they roll into town all the time, and theres this lighthearted game of cat and mouse between them every time that she knows she wont win
i probably wont draw much of it unless i actually come up with funny things for them to do but its still fun to think about
#asks#tysm btw for your interest it makes me very happy <3#realizing my idea of westerns blends in with movies like indiana jones#i actually dont watch a lot of movies so everything i know is thru cultural osmosis#so this isnt rlly a spoof. just a mishmash of tropes

You know the situation. You find yourself in the deepest underground of Tangled Depths right in front of a large chest full of loot.
It's right at the ledge of a cliff, and all that's ahead of you is a large cave full of mushrooms.
So how did you even get all the way up here?
I know what you're thinking right now.
Nah-ah. Not today, mount-riding friends.
What you may have not known is that this chest is in fact the end chest of one of Tangled Depths' ~official~ jumping puzzles. So let me introduce you to the Master Mushroom Spelunker:
#it's not super hard esp bc it's short but it's honestly not AS easy as it looks#some of the jumps are deceptive and WHEN you fall you gotta run allllll the way back to the start#also half the difficulty is having your glider not do what you want it to do so you constantly overshoot the shrooms#budgie plays gw2

Lunch Date
Characters: Arunae, Fledge
Word Count: 1,505
Context: Arunae and Fledge are somewhat recent defects of the Alternian fleet. They currently reside on a neutral space station known as Parable that orbits the star Paem.
---
There are three star systems within a standard jump from Paem. Most cruisers were only capable of a single jump before needing to recharge; the power to do so was reserved in a bank intended for emergencies. Charging the reserves for a jump was nearly as expensive as the ship itself, and most batteries would lose their capacitance after a single discharge of that magnitude, necessitating replacement. It was unfortunately true: no battery worked as well as a helmsman. It would cost fortunes to consistently travel by cruiser only using batteries, and inviting a stranger to join a party of two was, to Fledge, just as costly.
It was good, then, that she could power jumps without either. It was equally good that Arunae wasn’t privy to, nor particularly interested in, the specificities of space travel mechanics. She knew how to independently gimbal the rear thrusters to donut tightly enough around the spires of Parable to make Fledge forget for brief moments that she had ever been anywhere else, and that was plenty. So long as neither of them ever discussed the specifics of their travel, it would stay that way.
Every so often they stole away to a colony for a few days. This perigee, it was Thalamos-7. The planet had established itself within the empire long ago through mining. Between the sparse new-looking towns were mining camps, and between those were swaths of land peeled back to expose the shells of the planet's long scooped-out insides, now scattered throughout the galaxy. The canyons revealed labyrinths of caves containing reserves of the planet's remaining clean water. In the past few centuries the local population had been making an effort to restore the landscape and reestablish the colony as a place with a viable future, rather than a husk to discard. Land that could not be repaired would become civil developments.
The efforts seemed to be moving along well, all things considered. The brochures and websites Fledge and Arunae had poked through seemed to think so; they touted newly lush rolling hills, and exotic fauna and flora carefully selected to remake its home within gashes left by the empire. Their website described its vistas as unique and speaking. The greenery crawling over the rough but methodically slashed crevices demonstrated en large “the same sublime perseverance of a scar.”
It wasn’t the sort of poetry Fledge cared for. The beauty lines that wrapped their way around downtown were convincing enough for her.
The cafe she and Arunae sat outside now was called “The Copper Street Mealblock”. A short menu existed only on the inside walls in neat chalk handwriting. There were potted plants in the windows, and the brightly colored chairs were comfortable despite how they looked. The food came out in plastic baskets lined with brown paper. After lunch they were going to take a ride beyond the town to see if the photographs were being generous.
“Kind of hoping they’re overselling it; I’d love to dig Runner’s fins into the side of a quarry. Bet it’d be like a huge skatepark.” Arunae had already annihilated a sandwich and was picking away at her side.
Fledge snorted at the idea as she moved a fork through her salad. “Couldn’t we do that on any moon?”
“Sure, but no moon is within ten minutes of a place with fries like these.” Arunae waved around an example before violently sacrificing it to her maw to join nearly a full basket of its brethren.
“I told you to get a large.”
“And you were so right.” She shook her head solemnly, and Fledge tilted hers in sympathy.
The teal swung her clawed arm over her chair and gazed out at the street. “Imagine living here, though, in one of these little town-hive apartments, coming down to a cafe for breakfast and then, I dunno, going spelunking.”
Fledge raised an eyebrow. “You want to go spelunking?”
“Maybe! I’ve never been. But we could, and that’s what matters. What else was it they had here?” She patted herself for a pamphlet she quickly realized she left in the ship. “Base jumping? Sky diving? Shit, we could watch a movie. A new one, even. In a movie theater.”
“Not sure I could handle that kind of excitement,” Fledge joked.
“It’ll be a far cry from my tablet and your little med-bay bunk, but I think you could handle it.”
The cerulean flashed a smile. Arunae consumed another fry.
“Seriously though, what do you think?”
“About going to the movies?”
“No, about moving here, living here.”
“You make every place we go sound nice.” Fledge’s fork played with a little tomato.
“Any of them stand out, though?”
Fledge shrugged her shoulders.
“Maybe we could take a lease out somewhere. Try living on a planet for more than a week. See what it actually feels like, y’know?”
“Maybe.” Fledge’s fork poked through the tomato.
“I know you don’t expect us to stay on Parable forever.”
“No.” She turned the tomato on her plate. “Of course not.” she added.
“So?”
“So--” she set the fork down and crossed her arms over her chest. “-- we’re both defects. I don’t know.” She let out a breath. “I feel like it’s kind of risky to settle down anywhere, especially somewhere that’s Empire controlled, even a small colony like this one.”
“I’ve been thinking about that, actually.”
“What do you mean?”
“About them finding us.”
Fledge glanced down at the table.
“It’s been six perigees, right?” Arunae began to explain, “Parable is safe, sure, but it’s not secret. Six perigees, and not a whiff of the fleet?” She gesticulated with a fry. “I honestly don’t think they’re looking for us. I wouldn’t be surprised, either; I mean, me, I’m half metal, half liability and you--”
Fledge’s eyes shot up at her. Arunae was still finding her words.
“--Well, we know they didn’t treat you right.”
Fledge sank again, and stayed quiet.
Arunae tightened her lips. Seated across the table from her, Arunae saw herself: fickle and afraid, single tethered and constantly gauging the ropes girth. She grabbed at her memory for Cyther’s words; what would she have said? She always seemed so sure. She could spin ideas into action like threads through a spindle and sweep Arunae up with her. It seemed so stupid, mulling over townhives when Cyther was planning raids in a night.
Was it possible Cyther wasn’t sure back then? Perhaps she had convinced Arunae in order to convince herself. Maybe she had just gotten good at it, and Arunae got better at agreeing, until Cyther didn’t need her to anymore.
Arunae didn’t want to pretend. She wasn’t sure the fleet wasn’t looking for them, and gauging what felt like home wasn’t really in her repertoire. However Fledge was feeling, she clearly wasn’t keen to make another life changing decision anytime soon. Maybe leaving that day was all she had in her, and Arunae couldn’t argue with that.
What was it that had let Arunae go, the day she left for the fleet? The day she told Cyther she was leaving? Had she truly believed she could make a change from within the fleet? Fuck, she wanted it back. Whatever it was, she wanted it back. She wanted to take Fledge’s hand and lead her somewhere beautiful, unafraid for her, gesture out to the world and tell her “Isn’t this great? We could be happy here.” She wanted to mean it. She couldn’t.
“Could we not talk about this in public,” Fledge finally peeped. “It makes me nervous.”
“Oh, yeah,” Arunae accepted Fledge’s request to cut the conversation short. She ate her last fry and sat at the impasse she had created.
“I know—” Fledge piped up again, “—we have to talk about it. I know we can’t be there forever. We’ll talk about it, I promise. I just need to think.”
“It’s cool. It’s not like we have to decide now.”
Fledge nodded and stared out into the street.
After a moment, Arunae reached her hand across the table to hold Fledge’s.
“I have a different important question to ask you.”
“What?” she looked to her.
Arunae met her gaze and squeezed her hand gently.
“Can I have some of your fries?”
Fledge snorted. She took her hand back to nudge her basket towards the other. “Go crazy.”
As she watched her dear friend make fries disappear with feverish abandon, Fledge’s mind swam with thoughts. Was it really possible that the fleet wasn’t looking for her? Why wouldn’t they be? Was she would be too much trouble? For the first perigee on Parable she couldn’t sleep. She had spent days awake, watching the door of the apartment, waiting for a fleet official to come busting through to take her back. She thought the weight in her stomach during those hours was fear, but now, she wasn’t so sure. This, the concept that no one was ever going to come for her, that no one was even looking, stirred her insides. It was much more terrifying.

Ice Pond Thou Art, to Ice Pond Returneth: Let's Finish(?) Tears of the Kingdom
We're finishing the plot, anyway. All of the spoilers!
Sidequest clean-up time! I am getting up to such antics
Monster decorations: check
Freezing my tits off in the desert while holding up a giant mirror: check
House? check!
I'm sorry but I am literally 12 years old right now:
I wasn't going to chase after dragon!Zelda just yet but she appeared literally right in front of me so I figured I might as well hitch a ride on her and make Link sad.
Da-da-da-daaaa in a minor key:
For some reason I'd been assuming I couldn't dye my sexy thunder shawl but nope! What lovely news for me and fashion aficionados everywhere!
Puzzling with the Boner Squad
I'M STILL 12
A lot of people just come out around me! It's a gift.
Sure do!
Truly, no one can resist my charms.
Bitch I DELVED:
I know I said collecting all the bubbul gems would be my Cruella de Vil origin story, so call me Emma Stone because I have lost my entire goddamn mind. Fewer than 20 remain and Koltin is no longer offering me hints for some reason? Whatever, I'm not doing it for him anymore. I'm doing it for ME.
I have looked up a map of caves and I WILL spelunk each one, mark my words
Oh right we got some caves in the GODDAMN SKY, WHERE CAVES DON'T BELONG
I'm fine I'm fine
One more and the eye strain ends. Squinting from the map on my laptop to the in-game map on my TV. Oho, Death Mountain, I see you now!
FUCKEN GOT EM
Shine on, you crazy diamond bubbul gem. Maybe someday I'll smack you around for rupees. Until then, I will think of you and your completionist nightmare sidequest every time I glide through the air with my fancy new paraglider pattern.
Okay I can finish the plot now
I am doing this final stretch of mini-dungeon the way the goddess intended: by throwing down my traveler's medallion and popping back for more sundelion dishes before getting back to it.
At long last I have killed a lionel, and I started with a gloom lionel because why not. Bitch was in my way.
Me when the sun rises before 7:00am:
Let's see how many Ganon phases we get! Dueling Ganon. Big Hair Boner Squad Ganon. Big Hair One-on-One Ganon. Ganon Become Dragon.
Why does everyone but Link get to scarf down a tasty magatama treat? UNFAIR
At least I look good thrashing around between Ganon's giant dragon teeth:
Took me a second to realize what I was meant to be doing but this was a pleasantly cinematic fight phase with lots of catching little rides on Zelda's big fuzzy dragon head.
Game removed my good hat >:( but also removed my shirt :) so I feel like we're half on the same page.
Guess we're not getting an ending where Link joins Zelda on an eternal draconic frolic, which on the one hand, yes, my girl deserves a happy ending, but on the other, "dragon" is a whole new gender spectrum Link should get to explore.
Game ALSO removed my cool arm. :< Now how am I gonna remodel my house?
Grabbing Zelda as she falls would be a lot easier with Ultrahand, just sayin
At this point, is Zelda, like Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide, older than the universe itself? My girl's been through it
My robot girlfriend is moving on to robot girlfriend heaven. This too is yuri.
And I am moving on to fucking around endlessly, but first, there's only one way I can end this, right?
Back to the ice pond, baby. I made myself a little blue cultist outfit and everything:
That's all, folks!
#stealthnoodle plays loz: tears of the kingdom#tears of the kingdom#totk spoilers#video#apologies to florence + that machine of hers#what a good game#my dreams will be haunted indefinitely by bubbul gems in hard to reach places#no i have still not figured out the actual purpose of the ice pond#no i will not look it up#yes i will probably throw myself into it again

(continued 2.5 as something went wrong.) I did it because human hubris is a bit more interesting than "the world was destroyed because the original timeline was erased in favor of the mega evolution timeline woe is me" (although that may happen too, we'll see in what manner and what can be done about it, have tentative ideas, and that itself has a convoluted science-y/ physics explanation) and gives a good incentive for Leaf to go "what in Giratina's fresh hell do you think you're doing???" @/anyone copying her mistakes as is often in the anime and her Weirdness towards the insane number of people casually buddy-buddy with Legendaries + Ash's entire existence + obsession that nobody disturbs them/the fabric of space-time. (And naturally, projecting my own "I can't believe they killed Steven in the manga" *screaming cat noises.*) I’m saying all this in the event I say “f it” and post anyways, and you see it in the very empty Steven tag and think “whose this weirdo” 😭 National PSA to all Steven stans: I love the rock man and think he makes for an awesome big brother that shares the same excitement any kid would which makes it easier for him to connect with their level of energy and fascination and would be your biggest support and let you do whatever you wanted including a helicopter ride paid with his own money and take you on cool spelunking trips to show how fun geology can be even if it gives Lance heart palpitations at the dangers.
("Where have you been the last four days?!?!" "In a cave." "A CAVE?!?!" "Steven was there too. And I've been in caves before, that's the only way to get to Cerulean." "Mt Moon is an easy cave. It's for local use. Which cave were you in." "Steven was there!" "Steven goes to the worst caves of them all. For months at a time! That does not make me feel better." "...Well, we were supposed to look for Mega Stones in Glittering Cave, it was supposed to be quick, but Steven found some other cool rocks I don't know much about... oh, and when we left Ash sent me a photo of what I'm pretty sure might be a Legendary, so Steven wanted to check out that cave too-" *Lance gets up to take his stress medications*) This doesn't actually happen, I made up an example on the spot but similar vibes lol. But I was today years old when I discovered there's a "Kalos Stone" from this cave in the ORAS games in Rustboro Gym. Maybe Steven got a souvenir for Roxanne.
LOL WE DON'T TALK ABOUT HOW THEY KILLED STEVEN IN THE MANGA *sobs in a corner* And the Steven tag would be HAPPY to have such a brilliant fic idea. I don't think the idea of Steven as a big brother figure would be weird at ALL. I think a lot of people would appreciate seeing that side of him. omg poor Lance though. He probably has the highest blood pressure. It would be SO funny though.

Crafting the Perfect Itinéraire Philippines: A Guide to Island Adventures
The Philippines is a dream destination for travelers seeking tropical paradises, rich culture, and unique adventures. With over 7,000 islands to explore, planning an itinerary might seem daunting. Fear not! We’ve crafted the ultimate Itinéraire Philippines to help you make the most of your journey.
Start Strong: Manila and Beyond
Begin your adventure in Manila, the bustling capital of the Philippines. Dive into its vibrant chaos as you explore historical landmarks like Intramuros, a centuries-old walled city that reflects the country's Spanish heritage. Don’t miss Rizal Park and Binondo, the world’s oldest Chinatown.
After soaking in Manila’s energy, head to Tagaytay, just a short drive away. This serene destination offers a stunning view of Taal Volcano, an island within a lake. It’s the perfect spot to ease into the laid-back vibe of the islands.
Beach Bliss: Palawan’s Natural Wonders
No Itinéraire Philippines is complete without a visit to Palawan, often called the "Last Frontier" of the country. Start in Puerto Princesa, home to the UNESCO-listed Underground River, a subterranean wonder that’s both awe-inspiring and otherworldly.
Next, venture to El Nido, where limestone cliffs, turquoise lagoons, and secret beaches await. Book an island-hopping tour to experience the breathtaking beauty of Bacuit Bay. If you have extra time, Coron, with its shipwreck diving and crystal-clear Kayangan Lake, is a must-visit.
Cebu: Culture Meets Adventure
Cebu is a melting pot of history, culture, and adrenaline-pumping activities. Start with the Magellan’s Cross and Basilica Minore del Santo Niño to trace the roots of Christianity in the Philippines.
For thrill-seekers, head south to Oslob for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with whale sharks. Nearby, Kawasan Falls offers canyoneering adventures that will leave you exhilarated. Wrap up your Cebu leg with a ferry ride to Malapascua or Bantayan Island for some tranquil beach time.
Breathtaking Bohol: Chocolate Hills and More
Bohol is a gem that deserves its own spot in your Itinéraire Philippines. The Chocolate Hills, iconic limestone formations that turn brown during the dry season, are a natural wonder you can’t miss. Pair this with a visit to the adorable tarsiers, one of the world’s smallest primates.
For beach lovers, Panglao Island offers pristine sands and world-class diving spots. Dolphin watching at sunrise and snorkeling at Balicasag Island are experiences that will stay with you forever.
Northern Adventures: Banaue and Sagada
While most of the Philippines’ allure lies in its beaches, the northern region boasts mountainous landscapes and cultural treasures. Banaue is famous for its ancient rice terraces, carved into the mountains over 2,000 years ago.
In Sagada, explore the eerie yet fascinating hanging coffins and trek to Sumaguing Cave for a spelunking adventure. The cool climate and lush scenery provide a refreshing change from the tropical heat.
