Some kids started a snowball fight with the guards. [*points behind me to a nearby gate, where a snowball fight is indeed taking place*] I slipped in while they were distracted.

I think you both better go somewhere else so neither of you get caught in the crossfire. Oh, by the way Mizuiro, Kiiro's around, and he's throwing snowballs at people, so watch your back, he already got me twice.

"Ah, is that.." Kajuu couldn't think of anything else to say, while Mizuiro sighed annoyed and rubbed his temple. He wasn't in the mood for any of this. Looks like his plans to go on a stroll were out of the window, with that bloke around. How does he manage to always come around at most inconvenient time?

He tapped on Kajuu's shoulder to get his attention and nodded towards the entrance, indicating they go inside, then gestured to the foxy guest to come with, if they so wished. It was getting too cold for his liking anyway. Kajuu seemed puzzled on his master's wish to invite someone in, but he didn't object.

I think its a rite of passage to make an au at least once, and ive been thinking super hard about how Sonic raised tails lately. So obviously an age swap au had to happen. I think it's likely he'd be on the more awkward side, he's anything but athletic. The again, he managed to adjust to wearing high heels and I like to think he's become remarkably surefooted and graceful with them (to the point he feels a bit out of sorts without them), so it's not like he has no sense of balance or proprioception whatsoever. If he really wanted to skate well he would be able to learn.
