I know I don't really post here often. 2024 has been a really difficult year for me. But rejoining this community and watching the joy of others is a big source of hope for me. So thank you to anyone who has been out there loud and proud. It truly does make a difference.

I wish The Shapeshifter book series came out now, it did great in it's time sure but I bet if it came out now it would have a huge following, we'd get like a movie or TV series.

Everyone would be pretending they're cola and what powers they would have.

People would be thirsting over Owen.

Dax would be cast as a black person and people would be outraged even though he's obviously not white in the books.

Dax looks at the person before him with wide eyes, mentally cursing himself for shifting in front of a stranger. But he had a cold, and was a bit out of sorts; he hadn't meant to step out of his fox form and into his human form when someone was looking.

Today I had a dream where I watched my video from 2007, which was a gameplay footage of Roblox. The video showed a screamer, near the end, an image of Chain Chomp on a black background, along with my personal scream. At the end, there was a text about what happened and why I made that screamer.

After getting jumpscared by it, I had to go at a bakery to buy more Skittles, and at a supermarket to buy a Pepsi. The dream ended with Dax Shepard, Michael J. Fox, and Tails throwing a party…

Idiocracy (2006)

Idiocracy has strobe effects on various TV screens flashing on borders between different programs. One early scene has rapidly-changing images during a slideshow. There are a couple of scenes where machine guns are briefly used. Intense strobe lights are used to introduce the President of the United States at a speaking engagement, stopping when he begins speaking.

Handheld cameras are used briefly.

Flashing Lights: 8/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: A few homophobic, ablest, and racial slurs are used.

Would Machete be supreme at skating like an absolute angel of movement, or would choas be imminent?

I think it's likely he'd be on the more awkward side, he's anything but athletic. The again, he managed to adjust to wearing high heels and I like to think he's become remarkably surefooted and graceful with them (to the point he feels a bit out of sorts without them), so it's not like he has no sense of balance or proprioception whatsoever. If he really wanted to skate well he would be able to learn.

Despite his age, Dax knew that lesson well enough. Very rarely were things as simple as they seemed, but that didn't mean Dax couldn't hope they were.

"I reckon you're allowed a big ego when you're a literal god... But, uh- thanks, though, I guess. For the courage and all that." It had literally saved his and others lives before, so he would have felt bad if he hadn't said thank you.

"Oh, well-- I've lived on earth my whole life, yknow? Only been off planet the once, and that as more of an astral projection kinda deal than actual travel." Good god his life was weird. He tried not to think about it too much.

"And I thought I was just a normal human until a few years ago. Then I got whisked off to a school full of other kids with special abilities, and all of them turned out to be half alien too." He actually had a fair few friends now, but even though most of them had some sort of power - like telekinesis, or being a medium - he was still the only shapeshifter. So he nodded; yeah, there was still some fitting in to be done.

"Oh. I'm Dax, by the way."

"Don't get me wrong, it all sounds pretty cool on the outside, but like anything, once you get down into the nitty-gitty, things probably start to get a bit more... complicated." That was his geuss, at least. He imagined others might feel the same way about being a god, that it was all wonderful and that they didn't have a care in the world -- - to which Matyr would have more than a few words to say about that.

"I don't know if I'd go that far. I'd say I'd need to have the biggest ego ever if I tried to stake that claim." He'd never really thought about it before. Did offering up courage and bravery to others make him brave? It had certainly taken a lot for him to abandon his father's wicked ideals and leave his entire family in order to protect humanity instead of tormenting them -- - but he'd never really considered whether or not that made him brave or not.

He'd merely done it because it was the right thing to do.

"An interplanetary exchange program? Huh, that sounds... interesting." Just another thing that Matyr hadn't heard before, this really was a day full of firsts. "So, how do you like it here? Living on Earth, being surrounded by humans?" He supposed he actually had a certain understanding of that, choosing to live among humans rather than his fellow gods. "I'll hazard a guess in saying it takes some fitting in? They might not always be the most observant but it's the small things that can give someone away."

A softly amused look makes it's way onto Dax's face as he approaches the person who is trying to have a conversation with an ordinary fox.

"You know that's not me, right?" He smirks.

WE ARE ROBIN 3.0

30 years into the batman's carrier the We Are Robin movement has decreased since its original formation six years ago, nonetheless, the youths of Gotham still come out to protect its nest.

This iteration of the team consists of three previous members who have stayed to mentor and give support to the five new recruits.

Shug-R mostly just does the hacking and planning but if needed she also acts as a field medic, since she joined the oracles her job became way easier.

Daxton Chill aka Alt is the mechanic/tech support for the team but unfortunately that makes him the least active member on the team during missions.

Isabella Ortiz aka redbird co-leaders with Shug-R, she is romantically involved with the leader of the Gotham Knights.

Nathan and Michael Hook have been both a pain in the ass and a blessing to Orpheus and Onyx for their incredible inventions, that intrigued Dax and he decided to give them a chance and, well, when four superheroes give you a thumbs up you can't say no.

Dexter Dent is the son of ex-supervillain Harvey Dent and [REDACTED], his father is VERY agonist of him being a vigilante even tho the hypocrite himself is one now, on an unrelated note the penguin seems quite fond of the lad.

Tiffany Fox has been surrounded by heroes all her life with you would think it meant she would have an easier time getting into the hero game but noooo it couldn't be so easy... Her Brother's solution was to put her with these kids as a compromise.

Aurora or as she likes to be called, hoopoe, hopes to one day become a great hero just like Bryne is.

Like any self-respecting superhero team they have their own headquarters called the nest, this one given to them as a first outing gift by Tim Drake who owned it first. Their range extends from the Hill all the way up to Robbinsville, when they patrol it's not unusual to team up with the night shift and the Gotham knights but they also find themselves paired with fennec fox of all people most of the time.

NOTE: for those who don't know who Nathan, Michael and Aurora are the first 2 appear in batman: black & white vol 2 #6 and DC power 2024 while Aurora is from batman: the brave and the bold 2023 #6-7-8, also the DCPU tag is to navigate my dc universe and We Are Robin 2.0-4.0 are placed in different points in the timeline so I don't wanna use them yet.
