more rich boy alhaitham plsđđ˝đđ˝đđ˝đđ˝i love the concept and how u wrote itđđđ˝đđđ˝đđđ˝đđ¤
cw. ⪊⪨ fem! reader, rich boy au, rich boy alhaitham, process of falling for you HARD, a little possessive again because I cannot help myself, rough sex & very messy
whether you believe it or not, rich boy alhaitham has never been in love beforeâ and the scribe thinks about one specific kind of love here, one you read about in books, one you can evidently witness between two strangers while crossing the street.
essentially, he was attractive and he knew it, a man blessed with extraordinary intelligence and talent, bringing to mind that he was exceptionally wealthy as well.
so, speaking from an outer perspective, those factors certainly couldn't be the reason as to why he was unlucky on finding his perfect matchâ in fact, no one could ever deny how greatly alhaitham was being admired by the people of sumeru.
or was he?
or perhaps, they really don't often pay attention to him, because you see, he doesn't want them to.
he purposefully keeps a low profile, with a veiled identity and ulterior purposes hidden right beneath, so that he could rest easy and indulge in a comfortable lifeâ with his wealth continuously growing, yet no specific target on what to do with it, or on who to spend it on besides himself.
yes, it was true, he sometimes catches himself getting lonely.
but in spite of that, after he meets you it's different, because suddenly alhaitham finds himself in trouble without noticing how the feelings of love were already coursing through his veins.
how unnoticeable falling in love was, snap and it's over, it's astonishing how he just needed to get closer to you.
you swallow thickly, and it was foreseeable that you ended up in his bed again, it's on the point of each night that it ends the exact same way now.
both of you knew why you were sharing a bed againâ lewd and lustful traces curving over the slopes of your body and stimulating your needsâ how utterly interesting how fast someone's mind could simply switch off and decide that you were in love now.
just from a simple look, and alhaitham was yours.
and he never would've let this happen to himselfâ the stress on how to navigate through an emotion such as love, especially since there wasn't a rational answer behind the multiple explanations he read about in the past, nor could you buy real, pure love with money.
if it were for anybody at all, he would just brush it off or at least try, but you just had to be so cruel and invade his mind.
you feel his gaze on you now, and it's the way his breath tumbles over your parted mouth that you know he's done forâ his tongue driving between your lips before lapping over your pink muscle as his hips leisurely push into you.
it drives alhaitham insane, no amount of money could even come close to this feeling of pleasure and genuine lust, it's like a heavy drug someone would grow addicted to in the twinkling of an eye.
you squeal when he bites down on your bottom lip, your trembling frame teetering on the edge of a rapid sensation while every slap of skin turns the bedroom aflame, until the pleasure goes straight to your puffy clit, overflowing your belly with butterflies.
a burning pressure pricks at your spongy walls as his cock repeatedly crowds you, giving your hips a good squeeze as alhaitham presses you back into his length, making sure you're taking him all at once.
your arousal was clinging to his toned abs and turned the view before you all the more sinful, your soft pussy glistening with your slick and his pre when he uses it as a natural lubricant to make it pleasurable to the both of you, hitting your aching spots just like that.
alhaitham can hear how much you're enjoying this and he hopes he doesn't give away how much he has been enjoying this as well. of course, it's much more evident in your case, precisely from the way your moans trembled and your hips stuttered and flinch into his dripping dick, your body attempting but ultimately failing to meet his thrusts half way as you're struggling to find any strength to lift your hips up.
alhaitham sees it's too much for you by now, he can also feel it in the way you're clamping around the base of his erection with dripping heat, until he was all soaked and wet in your oozing arousal.
needless to say, the wealthy man placed a mental note into the deepest depths of his brain for laterâ to, as one might expect, treat you to a glorious shopping spree with a luxurious dinner waiting for you afterwards.
basically wherever you wanted to go to, he would make it possible, because obviously he will make it happen just for you! and wether the feelings he was encountering right now were pure and good ..
.. alhaitham would do anything to keep you, and he won't ever lose you.

Edit 12/24/23 + 4/5/24:
â
My goofy ass forgot to put this here .-.
Anyway this is a full length fanfic now ;)
âŚmistakes were made.
bad decisions were had, and okay, mayyybbbeee you couldâve taken more precautions against people finding out you were ârealâ.
afterall, you did see the Eremites reaction, even if it was only two guys (one from each camp) that you possessed :/
word spreads quickly amongst the Eremites groups, you guess, bc next thing you knew, after youâd moved closer to floating around Gandharva Ville,
theyâd called that entire bit of forest haunted.
BUT IN YOUR DEFENSE-!! how were you supposed to know theyâd blab to the whole camp they didnât remember the past 20 minutes after you unpossessed them?? and immediately be on guard and jump to possession?? (Irminsul works hard but eremites/sumeru people work harder u guess)
And by the time you were happily patrolling with Collei, the forest rangers were just so chill you didnât really expect anybody would think a ghost was possessing them (or whatever you were now⌠maybe,, just code?? itâs unclear)
so when u start to see Tighnari squint at people whoâve technically just âwoken upâ after you possessed them, mumbling under his breath more and more as a file he carries around gets thicker and thicker-
you start to think,,, maybe.
okay, mayyybbbeee,
youâve fucked up.
â
You really canât help it, first it was making sure Collei got back safely from patrols (sheâs ur skrunkly okay, you canât help it, youâre still aware sheâs capable but- the urge to skrunkle overpowers you- )
but then-!! You managed to spot Cyno! :D its ur boy!! ur little meow meow, who can throw people over his shoulder!! He really doesnât need you, hovering around, but eh ÂŻ\_ (ă)_/ÂŻ
what could it hurt! âŚitâs not like he can see, hear, or feel you anywayâŚ
(unless u possess some animal/machine he thinks is friendly, which. sumeru is not exactly known for cuddly creatures. you donât feel like experiencing death when possessing stuff just yet-)
imagine ur panic and shock as the General Mahamatra takes on a camp of criminals on the run, only for one of the old ruin machines (the ones that are just LEG and DEATH)
to hear the ruckus and come stomping around a thick patch of trees, it launched missiles!! You canât warn Cyno, he canât hear you!! No one can!!! The criminals are unconscious, thereâs no other wildlife nearby they all ran off!!! FUCK-
You look at him and try to imagine his perspective as vividly as you can, heâs looking over the criminals, but now heâs turning, so people passed out and the tree-line got it-
Congratulations! Youâve possessed Cyno. đ
It completely disorients you for a second, but then the panic of dodging the missiles comes back in time for you to make his body dive and roll off to the side, for as long as you can manage a roll too since you remember thatâs the best way to dodge missiles in the game
âŚwhich works really well! bc heâs so fit and agile tbh
It was weird to finally run again after so long (two months now in teyvat?? wow)
with your feet suddenly in sandals, and feeling the breeze chilling your bare chest (Cynoâs chest??)
yeah its a shock considering most of the ppl youâve possessed lately have been fully clothed rangers lol
you quickly imagine your ghostly form again, and just like that youâre drifting out of Cyno in ur âghostyâ form, having floated out and away from his back
Poor guy looks so fucking confused, and immediately is wielding his spear again, and is about to get out the crouch you put him in behind the dilapidated stone wall (dammit he better not waste ur efforts to keep him alive-)
until missiles slam and explode against it, he ducks back down (thank fuck) and Cyno just looks around one last time before hopping the wall and running to fight the thing
you notice that when the electro user goes to use his powers, they seem stronger than they were in his fight with the goons??
Maybe he was just going easier on them, since they are only human?
âŚso why does even Cyno look surprised when he goes to make a simple swipe with his charged spear and a bolt of lightning cracks out from his spear insteadâŚ?
âŚweird.
â
Tighnari knows youâre here.
You figure he must have collected the reports of people âblacking outâ or âsleep-walkingâ or whatever else and begun to suspect the worst.
âŚto be honest, youâre not sure what to do.
on one hand, it would be great to have someone know you actually exist, as yourself,
but on the otherâŚ
What would Tighnari think?
Of you possessing his rangers?? Temporarily taking ownership of someone without permission??? Youâre afraid heâd think the worst of youâŚ
tho u didnât do so often, as u realized how messed up this could be, and u never did more than make them walk or talk normally for a few minutes before leaving them alone!
⌠afterall, you missed interacting with people. You were honestly a little worried abt going crazy, which is the only reason u were desperate enough to possess human people in the first place and continue doing so, just to talk to someone and have them look you in the face again like you really did exist as a person here-
(u thought u remember reading somewhere back on Earth that someone can only last 3 days of no other human contact until they start to lose it? but even if thatâs not true, at the very least, u dont think talking one-sidedly to yourself all the time is healthyâŚ)
so when Tighnari seems to get that file youâve seen him adding onto, and gather up supplies, mentioning a day trip to Collei and the others to Sumeru City for some
âfurther research into these âblackoutsâ, and also contacting some of my colleagues who might know somethingâŚâ
thereâs no way youâre not going with him.
you feel increasingly anxious all day, and at one point when you were sure Tighnari was walled-in by books at the House of Daena, decide to go blow off the anxious energy by possessing an animal to get some food!
âŚyouâre not really feeling comfortable enough to possess a living being into eating yet, that seems hella nonconsensual, and u kinda would be taking the joy of the meal from them tbh-
so u possess a cat!
a ginger cat, bc u like to think if u do anything weird, that ppl in Teyvat have the same type of cats back on Earth and excuse it as just:
âunhinged ginger cats being unhinged ginger cats yep makes senseâ lol
youâd managed to be really cute (and wasnât that weird, having to mimic animal behaviors like rubbing ur side against a personâs legs..)
and convince one of the cooks of Lambadâs Tavern to give u some leftovers, and been about to go off to try out sunbathing before the chore boy, little shit he is, tried to chase you off with a broom!! >:( the audacity!! you clearly have a little plate and everything!!
luckily, youâd finished eating, but still! Ouch!! those bristles fucking hurt-!!!
âŚyou look and see a Sumeru-ified version of a skateboard, and u just know ur little cat face is just â¨vâ¨
and u steal the little shitâs skateboard as revenge! HAHA thats what you get animal abuser!!!
The kidâs yelling at you as you speedily skate away with ur little cat paws (LMAOO), but the cooks are calling him back in so he canât pursue, (oh good u hear them get onto him for chasing u off)
and as u slow down to coast along the Sumeru streets,
you feel someoneâs eyes staring you down.
You assume itâs just people being amused at a cat skateboarding, obv
but when you look just ahead of you to see a smiling Sumeru citizen or eremite-
Oh. Itâs Alhaitham.
and heâs just⌠watching you.
heâs stopped reading whatever heâs got in his hand, and is slowlyyyy turning his head as you pass byâŚ
You decide to just keep skating away. LMAO
â
itâs already sunset by the youâre accompanying Tighnari back from Sumeru City, floating along behind him
and youâd been expecting a calm walk back, tbh youâd been feeling a little better bc the ranger hadnât found much to identify you, yet, luckily-
but bc u can never catch a break:
Tighnari didnât see the bandits dropping from the goddamn trees BEHIND HIM- and they had like claymores out- those were definitely gonna be killing blows-!!
so yeah.
You possessed Tighnari.
turns out ur pretty good at dodging bc this is second time now youâve helped dive away for someone in an ambush, ur kinda proud of urself tbhđ
and as you make him take a few leaps back, ur ears twitch in the wind as you duck behind a tree, then float away and out of his body
The poor hybrid ranger visibly sways, then shakes his head out of it, and he flicks his ears in different directions, squinting into the woods, heâs pulled out his bow, so youâre at least reassured heâs aware there are enemies
Like Cyno last week, he too gives up and rolls for the next tree for cover and begins to shoot and take down the bandits
the rest of the week is kinda a blur after that, bc itâs mostly filled with Tighnari running in circles around the camp checking for blackouts, writing letters to Alhaitham and Cyno apparently, and you not possessing anybody out of paranoia :/
Most notably however,
youâve unfortunately discovered one of the few drawbacks of ur possessions
(yâknow, besides not existing essentially, what with no one being able to sense u outside of possessions)
apparently, if someone walks thru you, they accidentally force you to possess them đ??
while itâd already happened once with a random ranger that you didnt notice was walking up behind you,
you didnât want to test it again just yet bc it kinda made YOU nauseous and incredibly dizzy when this happened
(as in, u stumbled like a drunk after this poor ranger woman ran thru u, until you were so dizzy and the world spun sm u had to make her sit on the literal ground, luckily she just thought she was just really dehydrated when she came back into herself đ)
so obviously, youâve avoided crowds to keep this forced possession thingy from happening all the time
like at the Forest Rangers meetings or something, ur watching off to the side, instead of standing with them or beside them
so needless to say, after about a week and half since possessing Tighnari,
you definitely did not mean to possess Collei.
Sheâd been in her wheelchair today, the Eleazar flaring up and tiring her body out
so her wheels had been entirely silent when she rolled up to where you and Tighnari were leaning over some strange experiments of his- you were just trying to figure out what all these mirrors were for, didnât he do plants more-?
you didnât even know what the hell happened, you just felt that familiar dropping sensation, like a small drop on a rollarcoaster, blinked, and then suddenly you were sitting instead of standing/floating???
Oh god-
before you could even begin to process that Tighnari was in front of you instead of beside you, the world was shorter,
The fox-eared ranger yelled in triumph, grinning with sharp fangs and spinning around to look at you (Collei)-
âAh-ha! It worked! Finally, I saw you! I saw you, I-?? Oh gods, Collei, NO-!â
And with quick reflexes, Tighnariâs summoned his bow, but heâs clearly confused on what to do about this situation, taking aim, but also holding the air glowing with dendro not as taunt as youâd seen him in the battle with the bandits
You scramble to raise your hands up, brown poofy sleeves rise to your command, light green hair you can feel on your shoulders, everything is familiar, but not-
âWAIT! Iâm sorry!! This was an accident, I promise! I donât intend to hurt Collei, or you!! Please, just, donât shoot me, I think youâll just hurt Collei insteadâŚâ
You talk him down and decide, that if heâs put this much effort into finding out about your existence, is an incredible leader and friend to everyone around him, and was able to accept the traveler and many other strange things thatâve (probably? maybe?) already happened in Sumeru (god fuck u dont even know where in the timeline you are)
that you can probably trust Tighnari with your existence, and your powers.
âŚHe nearly passes out.
â
Life has gotten a lot funnier, and happier, since you told Tighnari (and some of the more trustworthy rangers and Collei by proxy) about ur existence (or really, confirmed it)
Heâd been wary at first, appropiately cautious and demanding answers, of which you were happy to give and explain yourself
luckily, after a whole lot of âhmm, I see, no, I think Iâm understanding-â , finger on his chin and everything
heâs said itâs okay to hang around the rangers, so long as you donât possess anyone anymore without them knowing about you/with permission (outside of emergency situations that is)
tho he did seem surprisingly understanding and accepting of you doing it before after you explained how u were just unbelievably lonely and were lowkey paranoid of going crazy-
The rangers seem to believe youâre some kind of god/spirit thing, as you had no explanation yourself as to what you were ÂŻ\_ (ă)_/ÂŻ
Tighnariâs also given you the rule to help out around here if youâre going to âghost-laze aroundâ, as he puts it lol
youâve redirected ruin machines/feral animals away from rangers many times by now, to the many thanks and gratefulness of the rangers
youâve even managed to even figure out how to push Colleiâs wheelchair around when she uses it!
mostly by possessing tree after tree and using vines, or occasionally a fungi that can fly so you can nudge her along
she has insisted that you possess a ruin guard and carry her just to try it⌠however, Tighnari overheard her talking to the forest rangersâ dog (you) and immediately knew shit was up and banned you from doing it (at least not yet)
While most rangers are okay with you possessing them for a few minutes (and theyâve developed this bandana wrapped around their upper arms policy of âred = no possess, green = go aheadâ)
Collei is the most okay with it and for longer, so you âwonât be that lonely ever again!â :â)
Tighnari is busy with stuff, so you canât possess him as often, but the ranger has developed a theory that the more you possess someone, the more they can sense your feelings during possession/while floating around in ghost form too,
so heâll occasionally feel you in the room with him, and start talking out loud in some one-sided convo to make you feel more included to make up for not being able to interact with him sometimes :)
(after taking you off his list of worries heâs still pretty swamped, not that heâll tell you that, as heâs still not quite sure why heâs so, warm and safe feeling when youâre around, so willing to trust you so naturally, that it makes him want to at leats pretend to be worried abt a possessing ghost god/thing hanging out with the rangers now)
â
basically everything is great!
the rangers are okay with you, they got a system to interact with you consensually, Tighnari and Collei are fond of you, you get to finally have something to do instead of floating around all the time (joining ranger missions)
and look!! theyâve even been kind enough to build you a little shrine or altar of sorts! Notes about Sumeru life, recipes for you to try, occasionally some books for you to read, and even some snacks/desserts for you to try out the next time someone possesses you and gives consent! (you leave them a little note stuck on their hand with your question for specific actions like that, if there isnât another ranger there to ask for you when you unpossess them)
and everything is so cool, and everyone is so sweet and accepting
âŚUntil Alhaitham shows up in Gandharva Ville, knocking on Tighnariâs door.
â
AHHHH idk if this is any good! sorry it took so long, it was mostly the art đđ
anyway its not the best (the writing or the art) but i hope itâs at least some content to look at and be entertained for a minute!
also figured it was a good day to post what with the attack on our beloved Ao3 (tho i think itâs back up now?)
anyway, feel free to leave critiques on this one! (which Iâll probably turn this into a real fic one day soon, but not sure what to do with the plot/do a diff setup than this or what)
â
sorry abt the radio silence! I just needed to close my mailbox bc i had a lot of stuff to answer, ur welcome to send submissions to chat/non-requests!
and also this took time to make (once again, mostly the art, bc thats how it always is with art isnt it đ)

âhave you seen my hoodie? oh, youâre wearing it.â + genshin sumeru men
OO. warnings: modern au, usage of the word âpartner (cyno)â, not proofread + iâm posting drafts :^D
âHm? You havenât seen it? WaitâŚâ
ALHAITHAM notices when a hoodie goes missing. At first, he thinks he mightâve misplaced it or perhaps he left in the pile of laundry. It isnât till you wake up and he sees you does he spot his hoodie. He doesnât say anything about it specifically. Instead, he just says âYou look cute,â and heads out for the day.
âYouâre absolutely adorable! Can I take a picture? Oh, maybe we should have matching lockscreens!â
KAVEH also notices when one or two of his hoodies go missing, but unlike his roommate, he asks you. But then he looks closely at what youâre wearing, and realizes thatâs in-fact his hoodie that heâs been tearing up his bedroom for. And heâs over the moon. How could he not be?! You look adorable, and he just wants to stay in and cuddle with you.
-> the rest under the cut
âLove, you look amazing in my hoodie. Do you want another? I have another if you want it, or I could get some more.â
CYNO is going to ask you first. Youâre one of the few people who comes over. So, why not ask his lovely partner? But when he sees you in his hoodie, he feels as if his heart is going to burst out of his chest. Youâre way too cute. He runs over to you, squeezing your cheeks, giggling.
âNo, itâs okay. Iâm not upset, you look cute.â
TIGHNARI is well aware you have his hoodie, even before you say anything. He saw you sneak into his closet and grab it and pretend you were asleep. He doesnât say anything until you do, which takes⌠a while. You donât say anything for a long while, even when he hints at it. Eventually, he gives up and lets you be. Not without a quick, âPlease do wear more of my clothes; youâre too cute in them.â
âItâs fine. Donât worry about me, I have plenty; you should keep it.â
WANDERER similarly to Tighnari, knows you took his hoodie. Heâs not going to admit it out loud, but, you look way, way too good in his hoodie. He definitely purposefully starts leaving more of his clothes around just because he loves the way you look in them. Also like Kaveh, he asks you if he could take a picture and make it his lock screen so when he looks at his phone, he can see you wrapped in his clothes !!

Adopting Child!Reader
Characters: Wriothesley, Nilou, Childe, Candace, Itto x Gn Child!reader(meaning this is all purely platonic)
Summary: They adopt you and you're now their child, what do they learn you to do and what do they like doing with you
Warnings: platonic, modern au for the most part, implied char x char in some(you can ignore it if you dont like the ship, or see them as friends), sigewinne is your sibling in wrios, arataki gang being the arataki gang
Note: this is one of those fics that i keep looking for but cant find, so i wrote it myself. i really like reading from a child's perspective but whenever i see a fic were a char has a child and its x reader, its always the reader being the mother which i hate. anyway, have fun reading, luv you.
Wriothesley
Sigewinne is his child, sorry, you cant tell me otherwise(especially when its modern au), so you and her would definitely play together. have a tea party, dress Wrio up in cute ribbons and stuff, kill all your dolls together after one cheated on the other. yk, normal kid things.
Wriothesley caries your bags whenever you need to get home from school, he hangs them over his shoulder while you both walk beside him.
If Sigewinne is a little older than you, instead of being the same age, she would try her best to help you learn stuff you maybe dont even have in school yet, but she just needed to help you with it anyway. she just wants you to be ready for it, and learns it better in the process as well.
He would invite his Boyfriend over for dinner once, and you thought Neuvillette's hair was pretty, though you were a little scared of the man. it turned out to be fine after a few other times of meeting him, and you warmed up to him quite quickly.
I dont imagine he's the best cook, but would definitely learn how to make something if you were sad and really wanted a specific dish. Will also make tea for you both a lot, making sure its just how you like it.
Nilou
I love the idea of Nilou, the sweetheart of sumeru, adopting a child and taking care of it. like yeah, she totally would.
And if you showed any interest in dancing whatsoever, she would teach you some small easy steps. and show you a few of her dances made for shows, if you thought it was too hard. she has her own dancing room(?) at home, and she would happily practice a little with you in the room so you can watch.
She's very supportive of whatever you're interested in, but you will learn to respect everyone no matter what, she cant have you becoming like one of those scholars who want all the creative arts gone. But she would still support you in becoming a scholar if that is what you wanted to do anyway, just making sure you're a nice one instead of those other beings.
Loves to bake with you, and really wants to show you all the best recipes so you can make them on your own once your old enough. but of course she bakes the best cakes on your birthday, and it's decorated with something you like or her and you dancing via a messy drawing using buttercream.
Would make jewelry with you, and then wear some at one of her shows. So the people would see all her professionally made bracelets, and then this very vibrant and childish one shining trough.
She loves matching outfits with you, so she will try her very best to find a shirt in your size that matches one of her dresses, it would be very cute but she respects it if you dont really like it at times.
Childe
He seriously just wants to protect you, and probably ended up saving you before taking you in and caring for you when he learned of your reason for being out there all alone. (picture dark alleyway with cold snow and a few adults with weapons trying to get money out of you or smt)
Doesnt really like the idea of you knowing about his job, but he can't hide it from you the same way he hides it from his siblings, so you ended up knowing pretty quickly. But he assures you he won't let anything hurt you, not even himself.
He would have his parents take care of you when he had to go out for a mission, but you would have to promise to not mention what he was doing or he would just have to hire a caretaker next time.
But it was fun playing with his siblings, and the food was great. Plus it was way nicer to be able to play with other children at home, and not have to go out for it. Teucer also had really cool toys, so you and him play together a lot when you come over.
Doesn't let you near any of his weapons, and doesn't wan tyou near any weapon until your at least 13. He can't have you experience the same things as him, no matter how much he likes fighting, he doesnt want you to grow up like he did. So he won't teach you anything of that sorts, only when he thinks it a reasonable time for someone to learn that.
Cooks all your meals for the most part, and learns you how to cook as well, he can also have you help him cut the easy things like a cucumber. Plus you've been sent to school with what to a child looks like a three-course meal from a five-star restaurant. is also really good at getting you to eat your vegetables.
Candace
She's very good with children, but never expected to take in a child herself. She has both no idea what she's doing and knows everything about what she should do, so its a process for the both of you.
She is very loving and knows to let you warm up to her first, but she gets carried away at times and can end up hugging you a little to much for your comfort. But she makes sure to give you lots of your favorite sweets in return.
Loves dressing you up, and would pick your outfits for your when you had school, but of course you picked an item first and then she jsut picked out the rest. For example; you would pick out a cute shirt with a little red car on it, and she would find some matching socks and nice pair of pants or smt, give you a nice red hat if it was needed.
Goes shopping with Dehya often, so she would sometimes take you with her and will explain everything she's getting, and how to use this makeup and what not.
Dehya also comes over quite a lot, and they both do your makeup if you wanted, or let you decorate them in glitters and stickers if you pleased. You now have a special bag with all your little brushes, eyeshadows and all that stuff at home, just so you dont accidentally ruin theirs. (she would not let you put makeup on too much, only once or twice a week. but then there is also something to look forward too)
Itto
Is very chaotic and should not be taking care of a child, also because he gets in trouble so much. But he can't just leave you out there all alone, no one else wanted you clearly, but they are the perfect solution to that. (they are all basically unwanted as well, so you were just like them in a sense)
But Kuki is more of the parent than he is at times, but thats ok, she's basically the parent to all of them at this point.
Anyway, he loves beetle-fighting, so of course you are gonna learn too. He has spent hours with you outside, finding beetles and teaching you the perfect ways to win over anyone. it's only when Shinobu comes and tells you that its bed time for you that you stop for the day, but you have tomorrow to have fun as well.
It's hard to adapt to being with the Arataki gang, but it is better than being alone, so you can have your own little place to be alone in for a little bit, in a corner of whatever they're staying in(an old house that is really cheap i presume, or a really cheap apartment. maybe granny's place or smt).
Taking care of you honestly got the whole gang to stop their antics just a little, and they don't end up in prison for stupid things as much. Kuki is especially thankful for that, but is still concerned for the gang. They teached you how to depend on others, while you essentially teach them to be more careful of what they do, win-win.
You might have cried the first time they ended up in prison while you were there, Shinobu has now taught you how to bail someone out of jail. You will need this in the future.
im thinking of making a taglist but im not sure, so tell me if you want to be tagged in smt

i've been wondering, what are the culturally defined goals of the various nations (or tribes) in this AU? in real life societies, there tends to be a few goals that are "given" to us in society (for example, gaining financial success or getting good degrees in Western societies). these likely have to change if, for example, Fontainians tend to become too obese to work before long, right? so what do you think? perhaps they're more socially related, or something like that.
also, completely different but similarly related to society at large, do you think someone as obese as Aether saving the various regions is changing their perception of fat as a whole? I'd love to hear what you think! keep up the good work!
Great questions!
Fortunately, the answer is pretty simple, as the nations in Teyvat all have very clear ideals we learn about in the game.
Mondstadt: Freedom
The ideal of freedom lives through and through in the nation of wind. Venti, their archon, believes that people should be free to make their own choices and live their lives without heavy-handed governance, a belief that shapes their culture, where the people enjoy a relatively lax and democratic system. They enjoy festivals, and I found it to be one of the easiest nations to make one of the heaviest because of all this
Liyue: Contracts
As the richest nation, they value wealth and stability most, steming from the belief that contracts are the foundation of society. Trade, commerce and responsibility are all shaped around the ideal of contracts.
Inazuma: Eternity
In Raiden Shogun's quest to preserve Inazuma in an unchanging, everlasting state, strict laws are enforced to prevent any disruption of the societal order, which is why I wrote them to be the most distant from the very obese nations as they remain the most unaffected by the threat of obesity.
Sumeru: Wisdom
Knowledge is almost a currency in Sumeru, and the pursuit of it is central to their culture. The best scholars are either from Sumeru itself or foreigners who went to study at their Akademiya. They know better than to give in to gluttony, which is why they're the second thinnest nation.
Fontaine: Justice
Popularly known for their juridical system and the way trials are treated as theatrical spectacles, justice is the prevalent ideal imposed by Fontaine's Hydro archon. Laws and rules need to be modified periodically as the weights of Fontainians continuously rises every decade, and in this version of Fontaine, I'd imagine justice manifests in the need for fair access to resources and food to maintain their massive sizes or support the thousands who grow beyond hope. Thanks to their domination of the food industry in Teyvat thanks to their rich soils and way too skilled chefs, immobility retirement doesn't have too much of an impact in their economy, especially since each man retiring for immobility creates several job opportunities for others to work as their personal caretakers.
Natlan: War, but specifics depend on the tribe
Natlan is a nation constantly in a war against the Abyss, and yearly pilgrimages are held to find warriors from different tribes to take part in the Night Wars to fend off the Abyssal army. But outside of this, each tribe lives by very different ideals. This wasn't ever really digged deep into in the game itself, but if I had to think of something;
Nanatzcayan: Mining
Sounds a bit random, but most people in Nanatzcayan are fine miners, jewelers, forgers, and general appraisers of gems as they live inside mountains. Physical strength and harmony is needed for them to fulfill their jobs.
Huitztlan: Agility
Living high up suspended over a mountain cliff, they love extreme sports like bungee jumping or mountain climbing, and agility is the most valued skill to have to live the true Scions of Canopy life, which is why wide love handles are seen as favorable as their bodies hug the harnesses they wear while doing their activities much better that way.
Meztli: Leisure
The most sedentary and relaxed nation of Natlan, gaining huge amounts of weight due to poor diets and lack of exercise has become such a norm that it's the encouraged standard. Most people just spend their days taking baths in the hot springs, fishing near the shores, or dancing in the plaza, all if they're not already sharing decadent meals at restaurants and growing fatter week after week.
As for your second, Aether-related question, there could be some potential for that, maybe!
He starts getting chubby in Mondstadt, and becomes pretty hefty after Liyue. I don't think there's much impact for this, he's not alarmingly big or anything and there's people much larger than him everywhere.
It's probably in Inazuma where his size is first a shock to people as Aether is starting to get visibly obese. I can imagine some civilians being curious about him. From that one huge Aether journey loredrop post: "They never said anything to him about it, but some Inazumans envied Aether's carelessness for his body and how he was eating so freely he didn't even realize he had grown obese."
During Sumeru he passes the 600 pound milestone, and his weight starts to become the main talking point when referring to Aether and his achievements. I can imagine a small sentiment growing in some guys seeing someone as heavy as him be able to fulfill his job as a hero despite his clear morbid obesity. Maybe some men who were dealing with their own obesity are inspired by him and learn to be more forgiving about their situation, some maybe even going ahead and stopping to feel guilty about gaining too much weight.
As for Fontaine, I can't really imagine it changing much more than Fontaine itself irreversibly changing Aether. No size is too big over there, but people surely love Aether for giving in so hard into the gluttony and getting so massive so quickly.
His impact would likely be more pronounced during Natlan after Aether has become a walking pile of lard. I can imagine his status as a hero despite his absurd size to have some ripple effects, mostly in Meztli, where I can see the ideal weight for men suddenly spike up thanks to Aether's influence, and seeing his previous visit was Fontaine, open up the doors to import more food from that nation.

Starting My Sagau Writing Journey
Ok Im wanting to dip my toes into the Sagau writing scene and I wanted to put out about 3 ideas I have and plan on writing. Each idea will be outlined below and people are welcome to take inspiration off of them just make sure to tag me in the writing. There will also be a poll at the end where you can vote for which one you want to see first. When I finish writing each chapter they will be put up on AO3.Â
Shimeji AU:Â
For those who don't know, Shimeji is a browser extension that spawns a chibi version of a character onto your browser. This character can then move around and climb on the borders of your web page and just be a cute little distraction (I know this might sound like malware but its not I've had a Venti and a Lumine Shimegi for a while now and haven't experienced anything that can imply they are malware)Â
This would be more of a drabble and less of a full fic.Â
Basically the characters in genshin become aware through their Shimeji and then begin acting up in your browser when you're out of the game (when you're in game you're fine).
If you leave your web browser opened when you leave your computer you will come back to it being on a weird pageÂ
Like Venti looking at a wine websiteÂ
Diluc somehow ending up on a streaming service watching BatmanÂ
Yae Miko finding your writingÂ
I'll likely start off with characters from Mondstadt and go down the list for each region.
Kidnapped by the Harbingers (not the final title):Â
Exactly as it sounds, in the middle of the night you are taken from your college dorm (or room I likely won't specify) to Teyvat after the harbingers find a way into our world.Â
Haven't decided which harbinger will be sent (leaning towards Childe because I feel like it would fit best and he'd be down for that type of experiment).Â
Most of it will take place in a separate castle from Zapolyarny Palace.Â
If you want to know my specific location I have in mind their is a visual novel called Dottore And The Spy where you become Dottores apprentice (highly suggest this visual novel) but its main story takes place in a castle in the middle of a frozen wasteland away from civilization where both Pantalon and Dottore live. This will be the main location for the story.Â
I'll also be adding in Capitano as another permanent resident of this castle because I want to write about a big strong man who is the emotional intelligence of the three main harbingers present.Â
The other harbingers and the Tsaritsa will appear but they will be much more understated in their role.
I want this fanfic to go into the mental load that being locked away from the world has on a person's psyche.
Readers' powers will slowly awaken, making it harder for the Harbingers to keep us a secret from Teyvat and specifically Celestia.
This won't be a full blown yandere fic with the harbingers, they will be slightly possessive but it is more about your safety since Celestia doesn't like you.Â
Celestia will be the ultimate enemy over all but the story will not be focused on shooting down Celestia from the sky as readers powers will not ever reach the strength needed to face Celestia alone.Â
Harbingers plan will not have changed; they are still working to take down Celestia.  Â
This will be taking place after Sumeru (so no Scara or La Signora and their will be less clones)
The story will also includeÂ
Getting to know and bond with your castle staff like maids or ladies in waiting (I know these are typically only given to female presenting reader but I want to write about gossip and forming friendships so this is what I'm going with)Â
Quality time with each harbinger
Impressing Dottore with your basic levels of knowledge on Astronomy (since Teyvats sky is fake)
Eventually a runaway arch
Lots of tears and mental breakdowns, but donât worry there will be comfort as well
ShenanigansÂ
Possibly NSFW after reader finally convinces everyone to stop calling them âyour graceâ
To Make a Haven (Title might change):
Imposter (but reader is the real deal) AU
Reader gets killed once by a mob of NPCsÂ
I want it specifically to be NPCs so the reader still has emotional attachment to the playable characters
Reader seeks out a safe and secluded place Â
Teyvat awakens to readers distress and opens up a hidden area of the map to the reader that can only be accessed through very specific means.Â
Reader eventually starts bringing in Hilichurls to what for now im going to be calling âthe GroveâÂ
Reader will begin messing around and experimenting with her powers and finds a way to somewhat heal the hilichurlsÂ
This isn't a full fix it will be like layering a curse on top of a curse in order to negate some of the effects of the original curse
The hilicurls will not return to being human they will become something else (human like but not human)Â
This fic will contain way more original charactersÂ
Reader will be more spiteful in this fic but less in like a âmake everyone sufferâ way and more like âlets shake up the system and make everything more challenging for people because they tried to kill meâÂ
This fic will span over a larger span of time in world with the reader building a full city in the hidden area Teyvat made for them.
Well those are my three ideas! after this poll is done I'm hoping to get the first chapter out with that week, but I'm a college student and it been a while since I have written fanfiction so i make no promises.

11:42 ⯠alhaitham
summary ⯠you wake up from your nap to find alhaitham in the kitchen. eating a certain... delicacy.
tags ⯠fluff. established relationship. reader is famous. alhaitham is teasing. can b taken as canon or modern!au. a little suggestive ig.
tana's words ⯠this man makes me so sick. also i'm reading my reason to die rn on webtoon and this is inspired by that.
your eyes slowly open as you wake up in alhaitham's bed. it's late: you can tell by how dark it is outside and how it's completely silent in the house. kaveh and alhaitham weren't bickering anymore, so that's another indication of the time.
much to your dismay, you did not wake up to find alhaitham next to you. the bed was empty and cold, signifying that he did not fall asleep next to you at all. you huff a little at that, wondering where your adorable boyfriend was when you needed him.
you realize that you're only wearing his shirt with only underwear underneath. the temperature is perfect right now: not too hot or too cold, and you wonder if it's because of your attire or if alhaitham turned the temperature down just for you.
whatever the reason may be, you feel wide awake. wide awake and ready to find your boyfriend. it had been ages (a few weeks) since you last saw him. you were in inazuma for an advertisement; seeing that most of the restrictions have been lifted, and a certain commissioner proposed an idea for you to come to inazuma to repair it's relations with other countries.
it was a fun trip, but you felt a little homesick. specifically, you really just missed your boyfriend and felt the need to come back to him immediately. there had been so many things going on before you had gone to inazuma, and that means much less time spent with your lover.
but now, you're here. he, however, is nowhere to be found.
you step out of alhaitham's room, stretching a little bit before you continue your journey to the kitchen, before you find the bastard in front of you. alhaitham is in the kitchen, helping himself out to some yogurt as he stands in the dim kitchen's light.
he doesn't seem to notice when you sneak up behind him. you wrap your arms around his waist as you lean into his back, sighing into him. you sound so happy, so blissful when you're near him. you nuzzle your face into his shoulder blade, making alhaitham tilt his head back to look at yours.
"so now you decide to wake up?" alhaitham turns around and quietly laughs, suppressing a smile of his own when he sees you pout.
your lips form a line, "i was tired, okay? isn't it your job as a boyfriend to take care of me and take naps with me? where were you during all of this?" you nag and poke at his broad chest. you really missed that.
alhaitham takes another bite out of his yogurt, "i did take care of you," he flicked your forehead, "who do you think put you in those clothes?" he coyly raised an eyebrow.
you, who was starting to get a little too flustered to speak, pressed your forehead into his chest, "i think you just wanted to see me naked."
alhaitham rolls his eyes, placing his yogurt next to him on the counter and then proceeds to lean on it, his arms propping him up. the sight wanted to make you drool, but you hold back on that urge for now.
"i see. so, now i can't care for you," alhaitham taunts you, a smile nearly appearing on his face.
you prop yourself onto the kitchen island, legs dangling freely, "well, that can only be true if you ever cared about me in the first place," you refute, a smirk appearing on your lips, "which, you didn't, since you left me in bed alone."
alhaitham shrugs, "i was bored and i wanted to finish my book," he then held up the yogurt cup, "i was also hungry."
you hmph, "left me for book and food," you scornfully shake your head. that's when you notice that something doesn't make sense here. alhaitham isn't usually a yogurt eater. there were also not many dishes in sumeru that used yogurt in their dishes either.
"hey," you start, pointing to alhaitham's yogurt cup, "since when did you start eating yogurt? i thought you didn't like soupy dishes."
alhaitham grabs the yogurt cup, looks at it for a second, and then stirs the contents around. he doesn't seem to oppose the dish, but he doesn't look quite enamoured with it either. though, that could just be his face.
"yogurt is not a soupy dish," he responds, looking at you while still stirring the yogurt. he walks closer to you, coming in between your legs now. he's close, though, you wish he was closer.
but right now, you focus on his response, "what do you mean? it's semi-liquidy. kind of thick, though it really depends on the one you get. and it's like the same thing as soup but slightly thicker and more fruity," you look at alhaitham in a confused way, as if he just asked if sunsettias and zaytun peaches were the same thing.
alhaitham merely shrugs in return, taking another spoonful of yogurt into his mouth, "it's not that bad."
now that alhaitham has moved directly in between your legs, you can make out the brand of the yogurt he was eating. he was never the type of person to eat cuisine like that, so the brand piqued your interest. maybe it was so good that it swayed alhaitham's (out of all people) mind.
it's the same brand you advertised in inazuma. the logo and design were present on the cup alhaitham held right now. you can see what flavor alhaitham chose: lavender melon. you wanted to shudder. it was by far one of the most strangest flavors out of the pack. you liked the dango milk one far more, and wondered if alhaitham had some in the fridge.
while you stare at the cup, another thing catches your gaze. alhaitham's spoon takes the remaining yogurt and slowly lifts it up to his lips. he's so close to you that you can watch the movements so intensely, so attuned to the way his mouth slightly parts as he spoons the food into his mouth. he licks the spoon clean of its contents, staring at you the entire time. alhaitham chuckles, making your eyes jump up into his.
"you must... really like that yogurt," your eyes dash away from his, now looking at the yogurt cup he's placed next to you. alhaitham only smiles.
"well," somehow, he moves closer to you, now almost brushing the tip of your nose, "only because a certain someone advertised it," he whispers to your lips. he says it in such a low tone; it's seductive; it's addicting and you swear that he drives you insane.
a wave of flusterment and frazzledness washes throughout your body. you don't know if you want to curl into a ball and hide out of bewilderment or if you want to cling onto your lovely boyfriend and never let go.
you tilt your head away from him, a whirlwind of pleasurable emotions coursing through your body, "you have to stop doing that," you say in an equally low tone as his. you feel your face heating up as well, and it seems like alhaitham may need to turn the thermostat down more, because it suddenly seems very hot in this room.
"stop doing what?" he asks cheekily and leans in closer, as if he's unaware of what he's doing. his index and thumb find their way on your jaw, angling your face back towards his. he has you in his grasp now, which compels you to only look at his face. his strong gaze holds you in place, even though his touch against your jaw is so gentle and tender.
you have to bite your lip to fight off the grin, "stop being so cute." in the end, you fail, because you end up beaming anyways.
alhaitham thinks you're one to talk. it's ironic that he's the one who should stop being so cute. how could anyone not melt to the ground when they see you? it's something alhaitham tries to fight off every day, but succumbs to it anyway. you're too endearing, too easy to adore, crave, and cherish. the sight of you brings light and warmth and security. you bring smiles and soft touches and good-night kisses before bed. you can illuminate countless lives with one smile. you shine your sun on alhaitham's life, and he could not be more grateful.
he smiles, fully smiles, and lets himself indulge in this quiet moment between the two of you. it's late, so there are no distractions (kaveh). just this once, you two have a peaceful night. alhaitham's other hand comes up and brushes some hair out of your face, caressing you gently as his fingers move throughout your head.
you don't know how leaned in first, but you're pretty certain it was alhaitham. his hands are both placed on your jaw as he pulls you in to finally put his lips on yours. he's waited hours for this; alhaitham didn't want to kiss you right away, especially when you were exhausted from all your traveling. but now, you're here. you're home, and you're right in front of him. and well, he simply couldn't help himself.
one of his hands removes themself from your jaw and moves down to your hips, slightly lifting up the shirt that covers them. your hand moves up to alhaitham's neck, pulling him even closer into your body than before. you two were chest to chest now, alhaitham still in between your legs.
alhaitham slips a hand underneath your underwear, wanting to feel the bare skin underneath. in result, you wrap one of your legs around him, trying to get him as close as possible. you deepen the kiss: he tastes like lavender melon, and though you usually hate the flavor, you move past it this one time to keep yourself attached to his lips.
alhaitham only gets a few seconds to breath as he departs his lips from yours. your eyes were drooping and you were practically lunging at him to come back to you. alhaitham removes his hands from your hips and unbuttons the first two buttons of your shirt, leaving the top of your chest revealed.
he immediately dives back into your kiss, this time his hands moved sporadically up and down your shirt (which was actually his), rubbing your torso. your hands that were once wrapped around the nape of his neck moved to his shoulders, holding on as he feverishly kissed your lips.
he kissed down your neck as he moved to remove the rest of the buttons of your shirt. once your shirt was completely unbuttoned, he chose to let it simply fall over your chest, still revealing most of what he wanted to see.
"guess you missed me a lot, huh?" you winked, running your hands through alhaitham's hair, "you watch my advertisements, buy a whole pack of yogurt in my nameâŻeven if it's the worse oneâŻand now this?" you list off, an easy smile settling onto your face.
alhaitham only laughs softly, "yeah, i really did miss you," he gives you one of his small smiles. you feel yourself heating up again, and this time, it was not because of your previous make-out session.
you bury your face into his shoulder, "you know, it's no fun when you agree."
alhaitham lifted your face away from his shoulder, holding your head in his hands, "i thought you hated it when i disagreed with you?"
curse him and his stupid memory. "you're exhausting me. i'm feeling sleepy," you try and deflect the conversation before he could bring up any other things you said. at first, you thought having a thoughtful and observant boyfriend was a blessing. now, it may be a curse.
"after you just napped?" alhaitham gave you a skeptical look, "what, did i wear you out too much?" he then followed his previous skeptical look with a cockier one. it only made you huff in response.
you rolled your eyes, "no," maybe, "tired, remember? but if you want, we could always continue this tomorrow," you suggest with a lift in your tone. alhaitham will gladly partake in what you're suggesting.
"we'll see," he grabs the discarded yogurt cup and throws it into the trash. then, alhaitham grabs you by your thighs, hoisting you up to wrap your legs around his waist. you quickly do so, just in case you fell (as much as alhaitham threatens this, he would never let that happen to you, but you aren't aware of this fact). "unless you sleep until one in the afternoon again," alhaitham adds.
you narrow your eyes, even though alhaitham couldn't see you, "i will not."
he places you down onto the bed so delicately, as if you were going to break if he set you down too harshly. you don't know why, considering your many nights beforehand, but you still appreciate the gesture.
the room is dark compared to the kitchen's light. it's so dark that you couldn't even see your boyfriend's face. but you do recognize when the bed dips. alhaitham lays right next to you, placing his hand on the small of your back as he holds you.
your hand searches his body as you try to find his cheek. once your hand cups it, you try your best to aim a small peck on there. you miss, ending up kissing somewhere near his jawline, but alhaitham doesn't let you know that.
"goodnight," you nestle yourself into his chest and let out a relaxed sigh, "i love you. even though you choose shitty yogurt flavors."
alhaitham lets out a small laugh in response, and your chest fills a little bit at the noise, "not my fault you don't know how to eat," he kisses the top of your head, "goodnight. i love you more."

Yandere Wriothesley encountering his escaped darling (normalized yandere AU)
Connecting with the Yandere Neuvillette and Wriothesley series- Yandere Neuvillette & Wriotheslyâs darling thoughts, Nothing You Can Take From Me Was Worth Keeping , Iâm Bad But Then Your No Prize Either , post story headcannons, Pankration ring rules, Heartbreaking comparisons, Wriothesleyâs darling escaping
took inspiration from this scene from Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Wriothesleyâs darling escaped with the help of her mother to Natlan, having nothing but the clothes on her back, a bag of food, her vision, and her fatherâs guitar. There she encountered a group of traveling musicians, like her, some of them on the run, others just didnât have a family outside of this chosen on, no where else to go. She joins them and becomes apart of this family, spending nights under the open sky, looking at the stars above as they sing around the camp fire and sleep by each other for warmth, and the days, traveling from town to town, and doing the only thing they know how to, preforming. With them she went from angry, stubborn, and depressed from when she was with the Duke to strong, joyful, and sassy in the best way possible with this family.
Meanwhile for the Duke of Meropide it has been years since he has seen his darling and it was draining on him. He missed her snide comments, he missed her voice, he missed how she would bite at his lips when he tried to kiss her, it was still her touch. While the Duke is draining away his darling is thriving, finding family, and perhaps even love as she opens her heart again to one of her band members, a cello player, and a brilliant young man. So while Sigewinne is worrying about Wriothesleyâs health, his darling is miles away kissing another man who actually treats her like a person, who doesnât kidnap her, but gives her freedom.
It has been years and call them stupid but their groups decides itâs time they explored the world outside of Natlan. So they set out from region to region, Mondstadt (stopping to say hello to the darlingâs family who fled there after helping her escape) Liyue, Sumeru, and so on, until they reach Fontaine. The group agreed to only stay there a few days and only give one performance, specifically in one of the poorer parts of the city, as to not draw the attention of the wealthier crowd, theyâll earn the keep plus some and then leave. Then on the night of the performance the darling sits down with her new lover and tells him of the put in her stomach, this feeling she has of something horrible happening. He tells her itâs just nerves and not to worry but she makes him promise that is something does happen that heâll take the rest of the crew and run, donât look back.
At the same time as all this Wriothesley gets forced out by the head nurse to get out of the Fortress and to go get some fresh air. So he sets out into the Court of Fontaine and hears whispers as he goes to a tea parlor that a traveling band is passing through. The wealthy women he is listening to scoff at the idea, such lowlife they say, but Wriothesley has nothing to loose so he decides to go watch since it may take his mind off his missing darling.
The performance buzzing with people, families, couples, children, the old, men, women, itâs just a lively environment. Then he hears whispers about how they can wait to hear her sing again, and how itâs been so long since she left Fontaine, let alone preform. The is a feeling of hope in the dukeâs mind at this, a foreign feeling to him now and one what he cannot place. He shakes those thoughts away as he stands in the back and watchesâŚ
Thatâs when his heart stoppedâŚ
It was herâŚ
Her dusty skirt twirling as she stepped onto the old stage, guitar in hand. She spoke to the crowd in that charismatic manner that she did to everyone, everyone but him. She was talking to her home again, a place she hasnât been in what feels like forever. He watched as she held her guitar and began to sing, oh the first time he had heard her sing since she taken to the fortress and it was beautiful. His eyes were fixed on her as she sang, the lyrics should be like knifes to him with their meaning but he didnât careâŚ
Then she saw him, his heart soaredâŚ
and her heart sankâŚ
she wanted to vomit when she saw the Duke, wanted to run, to scream, but she couldnâtâŚ
Wriothesley watched as she trembled on her words but pushed on with the song and she looked away from him, her gaze shifting to another man, the cello player beside her, stepping over and pausing her singing to lean over and kiss the musician on the cheek which made the crowd cheer. The Duke felt his blood boil, but he could only silently grit his teeth and watch, starting a scene here would cause a panicâŚ

Alive
synopsis: the fall of your homeland is a catastrophe as it is, however, it's not only the home you and your husband lost. It's just a miracle you didn't lose each other.
prompt: 21
requested by: a lovely anon
pairing: Pierro x fem!reader
tw: angst, hurt/comfort, established relationship, pre-Fatui Pierro (he is more open and emotional), topic of pregnancy and children, a couple of my personal headcannons about Khaenri'ah and how the curse affects the body. [...] - is used in places where Pierro and reader use their real names.
word count: 1.3k+ words in total
a/n: part of my Token of appreciation writing event! Closed now, still have 1 more requests to write. Also this fic is from the same AU my other fic is - Behind the wall of falling snow we love. You can check it if you'd like some more
Bright Sumeru sun is blinding and the evergreen forests are dizzying when you look long enough. And yet [...] forces his eyes to take in the life itself blooming in front of him, tired gaze mindlessly following the movement of a red butterfly, flying by. Red. Red, red, red, r e dâ´
Khaenriâahn stars hide behind the eyelids, fingers clenching in a fist unconsciously. So much blood, everything is dirtied by the curse. To this very second he can hardly endure it - two months later and it still haunts him as if heâs back there, at the beginning of the end. Screams, cries, loud screeching of machines, rumbling of collapsing buildings and deafening booming of explosions⌠Itâs hard to forget, he believes he never will. There is blood on his hands yet he hasnât killed anyone. He only tried to save, but he managed to save only oneâ´
The one he canât imagine his life without.
The one the healer is examining behind his turned back. This old man was tolerable, he kept his mouth shut about two refugees from the fallen nation hiding here, above the surface and under the sun. The two previous ones had to go.
âYour wifeâs condition is better,â the silver-haired man shivers, torn from his thoughts and finally lets go of the blindfold, dimming the natural light inside this small house you had luck buying. Your love for wearing jewelry and the rules that dictated adorning his mageâs robes in those helped you both survive so far.
âBe more specific,â he demands, returning to the bed, gaze immediately on your body, resting under the covers. Your eyes, equally as mysterious, momentarily dart from the healer to your husband. Before you could even lift a hand resting atop the duvet, he already leans in and slides his palm under yours, squeezing.
âThe healing process is complete,â you see the way his breath shakes when your beloved exhales in relief. Fingers flex around yours in a comforting gesture. âI canât get rid of this curse mark, but I succeeded in eliminating the harm it caused to her internal organs. But,â the wise man looks at you, no longer talking to the man at your side and his gaze turns sorrowful. Your heart stops in fear, knowing what he is about to confirm. âAs I said before - I am afraid you wonât have children again. Ever. From what is known of the medicine right now - the closeness of your reproductive organs to the fetus most likely made them more exposed to the damage. On the bright side, I estimate that this factor wonât stop you from continuing living your life. I am still not sure how exactly this âdiseaseâ got into your body, however from my observations over you I can state with all confidence - itâs a miracle you stayed alive, dear.â
Itâs a miracle you stayed alive.
Big hand squeezes around yours. He doesnât know yet, that the two of you were cursed with immortality, he doesnât know yet, that sooner or later even the damage of the severely cursed part of your body wouldâve naturally healed either way (not completely, but still). All he knows right now is that there was a possibility of him losing you.
When the healer leaves your humble abode - this one deserves to live - you ask your lover to help you sit, which he does and immediately takes a seat on the edge of your simple bed (it groans a little under his burly mass, but you both ignore it). He still hasn't let go of your hand.
A few moments are spent in silence. You are deep in your own unease, while he is wrecking his head over the way to start the conversation. Gently. He doesnât want to bring those memories back - how the curse targeted the weakest spot in your body - your womb, how he had to save you, to make a life-changing decision of ridding your body off what was slowly killing you - *your own unborn child*... How he used his best knowledge in healing magic to keep you stable and get you out of the falling land. Everything else is a blur. But everything else doesnât matter.
All that matters is that you are alive.
âMy heart,â he starts slowly, but these two words are enough to gather your attention, âI am relieved to know you are alright. Forgive me my selfish desires, but I canât fathom a thought of losing you, of spending the rest of my life without you. I ask a lot from you, but, please,â he covers the hand he is already holding with his other one, âI know itâs hard, but I beg you not to forget the happy days we spent together, the love we share,â your gaze falls to the wedding bracelets clasped around your wrists and your heart clenches when you hear desperation in his voice, âand above all, do not let go of your desire to live⌠For any reason, understood?â
âIf you tell me this one more time, I will let go.â
Your abrupt response surprises you. You didnât mean to lash out, but suddenly it just happened. Is it the brewing pain in your heart? The dull ache and emptiness in your stomach? The settling understanding of the loss and that life will never be the same? You donât know. You feel too much.
He is taken aback and you notice. Eyes widen and anxiety settles in your heart - have you pushed him away?
"You know you are not guilty, [...]?" Your husband reaches to cup your cheek. You hopelessly cling to it with your free one, leaning into the warm palm, closing your eyes. "At that time nothing else could've been done."
"But if I was stronger, if my body was stronger-"
"But we were not, my heart. It's a cruel reality, but every time I see you I am so glad you were spared. Even if it happened like that."
He knows his words are cruel and he says them to your face now, raw and hurting, but that is the only truth he has. And he is not going to lie to the woman he vowed to treasure.
"Sorry for being rude, I didnât mean it,â you swallow the lump in your throat, and the man beside you reassuringly caresses your cheek. He understands. âAnd sorry we have to have this conversation⌠I am not the only one hurt after all.â
"I am not mad, [...]. And you are the one whoâs been hurt the most, so we will return to this topic as many times as you need. I will remind you that none of it is your fault,â his promise is soft and you make yourself believe it. He climbs next to you, wrapping an arm around your waist - gently, almost feather-lightly, - and brings you closer to his chest.
"I just really wish it wasn't our one and only chance to have a family," you snuggle into him, diving into the warmth of his body. "You don't hate me for it, right?"
"Of course I do not. There will never be a thing I'll hate you for."
"Thank youâŚ"
"No, thank you for being alive."
He can feel your lips pulling in a small smile against his chest. He is aware that so little time is not enough to numb the mind and heart to the memories and that this pain is hard to heal - he is sure it never completely will, and even though he is pushing his own despair to the back of his head, he fully shares your hurt. He keeps reminding himself, that you got to stay alive and you are right here, he can see, touch, hold, love youâŚ
And even in the frozen lands of your soon-to-be-destination heâll continue doing so.

Soulmate Mark!AU (The mark is either be a name or a picture that hints to who the soulmate is)
It is common knowledge in Teyvat that everyone gains a soulmate mark sometime in their lifetimes.
Reader's soulmate mark appears during the night of her most recent birthday, linking her to a certain former Sixth Harbinger.
What is not so commonly known is that the soulmate mark can change; when something happened that not only shatters the affected person's trust and belief in their partner, it also makes them unable to accept their partner anymore.
When Reader catches Wanderer cheating on her with Haypasia, she wakes up the next morning to a new soulmate mark on her arm that matches either Alhaitham, Kaveh, Cyno or Tighnari (who I call the Sumeru 4).
WANDERER âĄâšË Constellations [SFW]
fem. reader (3rd person) ; angst. Soulmate Mark AU. cw for cheating, as well as possibly ooc characters oops- anyway Wanderer and reader don't end up together :(Â
3k words.
notes. Alright so as I've stated in my rules, I don't exactly dabble a lot in AUs, however I will make an exception for this since it's been sitting for so long on my askbox. Anyway I hope you enjoy â§Ë°
A soulmate could take on many shapes and forms, as well as hold different meanings. To some, a soulmate was bound to become one's life partner. To others, a soulmate didn't have to implicate romantic emotions, it simply being the other half of a puzzle that completed them on a platonic level. Whichever the case, all were aware that everyone in Teyvat shared someone special, for it was written in the stars.Â
Their one and only sign of who it would be came in the form of a small mark, a set of dots and lines that formed their set constellation. It had always been said that in Teyvat, under the stars there was a home for everyone. Everyone is their own unique person, signified by their own constellation that astrologers could reveal.Â
To [F/N], her own mark had come on her most recent birthday, at long last. The first thing in order of business was to schedule a meeting with a well known astrologer, hoping to find any other clues regarding her soulmate. It had become an unwritten rule to visit a reader of stars for two things - one, to know one's own constellation. After all, were they to meet their soulmate, they should know to identify it. The other, was to see if any other clues could be gathered regarding their other half. Only a selective few in all seven nations could add information to their search, and as such, consultations weren't cheap.Â
Nonetheless, with some of the mora she'd received on her birthday, [F/N] went. The older woman, who'd been incessantly recommended by many of her friends, thoroughly read through the lines that made up her mark, fingertip brushing the skin of her lower arm. She sought guidance with her magic, and after a while, she was finally able to give her what little information she could.Â
"Peregrinus." She'd revealed, the word being the title of her soulmate's constellation. It was a strange language, yet it was said it was the language the stars spoke in. "I see a figure⌠Tormented by past experiences, yet striving to move forth in one's own manner. Constantly moving, constantly uprooting themselves from any one setting."
[F/N] couldn't help but repeat those words in her head that day forward. Peregrinus. Peregrinus. Peregrinus. She dared not ever forget the name of her soulmate's constellation, for it was the key to finding out who they were. When memory began to play tricks on the specific words the astrologer had told her, she even decided to write them down on a simple notebook she carried with herself, patiently waiting for the day she and they crossed paths.
It had been on the Grand Bazaar in Sumeru City. [F/N] wasn't even certain anymore why she'd gone there, it was to get a few things on a list to aid her mother or something. That part of the memory was foggy. What hadn't been foggy however, was the moment she noticed her mark grow in grandeur, as if the stars in the constellation were signifying they were glowing. They were near, so near.Â
Her eyes had widened, head darting around as if looking for who it could be. She'd heard of all the stories of her friends, how they had met their soulmate in romantic ways. She wished to have such an encounter, yet amidst the chaos of the bazaar and the wish to not lose them among the crowd, she resolved to shout straight to the point.
"Peregrinus?! Peregrinus!"Â
People turned their way, some as if she were mad, others quickly understanding what that meant. Some offered her consoling and encouraging smiles, though most simply continued on with their day.
One single figure stopped, before finally turning in her direction. To her walked a young looking man dressed in elaborate clothes of a soothing blue, his skin like porcelain and eyes piercing, indigo in shade. His very figure, adorned with an elaborate hat, was difficult to miss, especially when she was in such high alert. The expression on his face was difficult to decipher, a small scowl across his pretty features, his eyebrows furrowed before he finally parted his lips.Â
"That's my constellation."
Yes, he was her soulmate. Words didn't seem to be his fortĂŠ, the young man speaking with a gruff tone and words that could appear harsh at first glance. Well, [F/N] didn't take it to heart much, especially when thinking back on the words the astrologer had shared with her - tormented by past experiences, yet striving to move forth in one's own manner. Patience was something she quickly learned to deploy, calmly asking if they could move away to a quieter place. He'd agreed, and before long, he himself had shown his own mark carved on his arm. It was her constellation, the young woman naming it before he'd done so.Â
They shared a glance, a sea of emotions streaming through them. Hope, hesitancy, vulnerability. They'd found their one.Â
[F/N] had learned quickly her soulmate had no name. He'd had many, in his past, yet none mattered to him. He went by only wanderer, his will to attach himself to the world never quite strong. That was, until she'd come along. In truth, Wanderer had never quite expected he'd find his soulmate. Human life was so fickle after all, and could a puppet truly love? It was one of many thoughts that haunted his head, yet the patience [F/N] showed him sure showed itself to be more stubborn than his own stubbornness.Â
In the end, she'd won, and he had opened up the small crack she'd managed to break. Her wanderer slowly but surely shared more about himself, as well as a past name of his. One that he hadn't minded as much. One she quickled fashioned into her own name for him. Kuni. It felt⌠Odd, to hear her call him by it. It feltâŚ. Strange... Foreignly warm.Â
Kuni hadn't ever shared everything with her. It was too much, and the way he'd become overwhelmed was understandable. She never pushed him much, instead allowing him to open up at his own pace. Instead she talked, and shared, and he listened. Despite his rough exterior, he'd proven himself to be a great listener, engaging her in conversation whenever she saw fit. They spent time together, they got to know one another, and eventually, Kuni had grown comfortable around her, at least enough to display public signs of affection such as hand holding.Â
Everything felt wonderful. Everything felt complete.Â
That was, until everything crashed down. Until her heart was broken in a million pieces.Â
"Kuni? Kuni I'm home! My boss told me I could-" [F/N] had announced, only to find their shared house empty. He wasn't in the living room, nor the bedroom, not even in the kitchen.Â
Strange, yet it wasn't enough to raise alarm bells. After all, he was free to leave whenever, and he wasn't expecting her to come back so soon.Â
So, she waited. And whilst waiting, [F/N] had calmly set the groceries on their kitchen table, sorting everything needed for the dish she wished to prepare. It was one of Kuni's favorites, him having taught her how to cook it. It was difficult perfecting Inazuman cuisine, yet for her lover, there was nothing she wouldn't attempt to do.Â
The rice was cooking, and the freshly caught eel she'd bought from the market was prepped. [F/N] was about to begin cooking when she heard the front door open. She couldn't even contain the smile from forming on her face as she cleaned her hands with her apron, grabbing the wooden spoon to stir the sauce before making her way to the kitchen door. There, she heard more than one voice. She stopped, and listened. It was a woman's voice, yet still, she didn't dare even question it. To [F/N], for all she knew, it was a friend! It had been difficult for Kuni to open up for others, and as such, she was more than happy for him.Â
"K-"
"Come, it's okay. She's not home."Â
The words stopped from coming out, the woman left stunned and frozen. Her eyes focused on nothing but the empty hallway ahead, the previous happiness slowly being morphed into foggy confusion. Giggles were heard following suit, and without even knowing what to do or what to say, it wasn't long until she heard sounds of kissing. It was loud, and obvious. Sloppy. Gross.Â
Suddenly everything felt nauseating. Her eyes were glossy, yet despite everything else, she moved. Whether due to denial, disbelief or rage, she wasn't sure. [F/N] simply moved, emerging from the small hallway to gaze up at her front door, wooden spoon still in hand as she pitifully stood there, clothes dirtied from the dish she wished to prepare for him. She stood there, unmoving, glancing up to the man that now stood at her front door, kissing another woman.Â
"Kuni?" She finally let out, loud enough for them to hear. Her voice was trembling, the tears pricking her vision.Â
She watched as the pair jumped in surprise, him practically shoving the other girl away before eyeing her with a surprised look. A look of guilt.Â
"[F/N]-"
"What are you doing? And who is that girl!" She cut him off, her voice fluctuating between anger and sorrow. Her hands hung low, the rage slowly boiling over as she tried to not jump at either of them.
"Look-"
"I thought you'd said she wasn't home." She heard the green haired girl whisper, it being enough to break her.
"How long has this been going on for!? How could you do this!"
"This means nothing, [F/N]." He outright scoffed, baffled that it would make her that angry.Â
"What do you mean this means nothing?!" It was the other woman's turn to shout, disbelief on her features. "That certainly wasn't what you told me last time we were together!"
"You piece of shit!" Tears were flowing freely down [F/N]'s face, their voices quickly raising and garnering attention from their neighbors.
A sudden sorrowful confrontation quickly turned into a screaming match, hurtful words being thrown as [F/N] ran down the hallway, arms flailing in an attempt to try and shove them out of her house.Â
Kuni's indifference turned to defensive dismissal, shouting back over how she shouldn't be that fucking mad, that it wasn't a big deal, that they were still soulmates. It had been that last one that utterly crushed her beyond belief, the pure anger evident on her face finally seeming to get through him.
"Shut. Up. Don't EVER call me your soulmate again! You talk to me about betrayal yet you have the gall to turn around and do this!" At that point they were outside, their neighbors watching on through windows or open doors as the sight before them unfolded. "Fuck off and stay away from my sight!"
"You're being dramatic, [F/N]-"
"You two better leave before I call the Corps of Thirty." Against all the rage she was feeling, [F/N]'s voice grew lower, colder. It was enough to finally get through them. They were no longer welcome.
And as such, with all eyes watching them in shame, they left. The young woman was left crying inside her house, the women that lived beside her coming to her aid when she felt ready.Â
That first night had been rough, and sure enough, many were to follow. Practicing her better judgment, [F/N] managed to not burn Kuni's clothing that same day, instead packing them before leaving them outside for him to take. She couldn't eat, she couldn't relax, she couldn't sleep. She could only let it out, crying for Archons knows how long before her exhaustion took over.Â
The following day, she couldn't even dare look upon the damned mark on her arm. She wished nothing to do with him, and at that point, even the house felt suffocating. It still smelled of him, his once comforting scent she'd grown to dislike. Before leaving for work, she remembered to leave her windows cracked open, hoping the breeze would sweep away his scent before she returned.Â
It was only during work she'd realized it, how the constellation upon her arm had suddenly changed. While at work she'd accidentally splashed water on herself, prompting her to change out of the long sleeved shirt she had brought to work. She didn't want to look, her eyes actively trying to glance anywhere but there, yet against all her efforts, her gaze jumped to the mark, and there she stayed. The six dots were now rearranged in a new order, the once seemingly symmetrical pattern now forming a new, undiscovered constellation.
Her heart was beating quickly, yet she wasn't sure it was due to good reasoning.
Not again, she thought.Â
[F/N] was hesitant to even give it much thought. Her heart was still broken to a million pieces, and it would take time to recover. She didn't really have the same excitement to seek out an astrologer to find out more, instead trying to distract herself.Â
Days turned to weeks, weeks passed on and morphed into months. By that point, [F/N] had calmed down, settled in somewhat. Still, she hadn't sought out any answers just yet. The thought still churned her stomach, yet her friends figured it was time for her to move on.
"How about I go with you after work?" A friend had proposed, smiling with encouragement. Fine, she would relent eventually.
"Alright⌠Only so you guys shut up about it." [F/N] pouted, her friend nodding along in victory.Â
Despite not having previously booked their appointment, they managed to successfully get their consultation later that evening. There was a clear lack of enthusiasm in [F/N]'s face, and even the older woman noticed so. Still, she went through with the same ritual, the answers she got prompting her to bloom a smile even prior to revealing them her answers.
She'd murmured the constellation's name, yet [F/N] had only halfheartedly heard it. It was what came after that peaked her interest.
"Discipline, loyalty. A king by their own right."Â
Her friend seemed far more giddy than she was. As they left the appointment, she couldn't exactly contain her curiosity.
"Isn't that far more appealing, [F/N]? I mean, a king? Only what you deserve, truly."
"Oh come on, you know how they tend to flower their words." The girl scoffed, a small smile still present on her face regardless. Sure, she wasn't exactly as thrilled as she was her first merry go round, yet stillâŚ
Perhaps, this time it would go better.
Days went on by, routine setting in. Work, home, repeat. [F/N] had gotten used to living by herself, slowly mending her own heart before readying herself for another try.Â
"Come on now, you're not going back home straight from work again are you?" Her friend had groaned, hands on her hips.
"Well I wanted to relaxâŚ" [F/N] pouted.
"I get it, I do, but you have to go out more. Fresh air will do you nice! How about a small walk through the Bazaar and then a stop at Puspa CafĂŠ? My treat!"
"Ugh, fineâŚ." She groaned, her friend cheering in victory before linking their arms together.
She had to admit, the walk felt⌠Refreshing. Nice. There was good conversation made, and before long, a treat at the CafÊ was in order. The pair entered before noticing it was rather packed, their eyes looking around whilst looking for a table.
"Goodness, it's packed today. What's the occasion?" Her friend muttered, following the waiter that seated them.
"Ah, there's a small TCG event we're hosting." He explained with a polite smile, before taking their orders.
"Oh right, it's that game that has gotten so popular. Have you tried it before?" She asked her friend.
"Yeah, I have. It's fun, though I only pick it up occasionally." [F/N] hummed, looking ahead to the players while resting her chin on her hand. "Those guys seem to take it much more competitively."
"[F/N]-"
"Besides, it requires a lot of strategy and sometimes you just don't feel like thinking much? Some opponents will think like 5 steps ahead of you, so you really have to be in the zone."
"[F/N]."
"One time my boss found my deck out in the open and had it confiscated, too. That's probably why I haven't played it in a bit though-"
"[F/N]!"
"What?!" The young woman said startled, eyeing back her friend with furrowed brows. "Why are you-"
"Your arm!"Â
Slowly, her gaze lowered to the aforementioned limb, eyes finally landing on the constellation that had shown up months before. The dots replicated the same gleam as once they had, signifying that her new soulmate was close, very close.Â
"Oh shitâŚ" She whispered.
"What are you still doing here, go on!" Her friend said eagerly.
"Go, go where?! What do you want me to do?" [F/N] stuttered, her face suddenly feeling hot.Â
"Oh I don't know, go to where all the people are?! On the other end of the CafĂŠ!"
"And what am I supposed to do, stop their match to ask if one of them is my soulmate?!"
"Uhm, yeah???" Her friend crossed her arms, huffing impatiently. "Do you want me to do it for you? I know the name of their constellation, after all."
"No need!" [F/N] groaned in frustration, getting up from her seat and glaring at her now grinning friend. "F-Fine, I'll go there!"
With a huff, [F/N] made her way across the CafĂŠ, slowly and hesitantly reaching the gathered crowd around the match that was apparently reaching its end. Those around the two players watched in awe, commenting on each move performed by the two of them. The young woman tried to remain calm, her eyes shifting around those whose arms were showing in a vague attempt at finding her own constellation marked on one of them.Â
"I have to say, it was a wonderful match. Though, I'll have to cut this short." One of them said loud and clear, his fingers picking up one of his own cards before placing it neatly in front of his adversary. "And with this⌠I believe I win the match."
"Oh, so the General was saving that for the end of the matchâŚ. Well played."
"TskâŚ. I should've seen it coming." His adversary smiled humbly, nodding his head before the two of them shared a handshake. "Well played, General."
"You were great, too. I'd enjoy playing another round with you, next time."
"Oh, hello miss," A young man, dressed in Akademiya attire reached her side, smiling her way. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Oh, uh, yes." [F/N] blushed softly, tucking some hair behind her ear. "Is the match finished?"
"Did you wish to witness it? I'm afraid it is⌠Oh, but if you'd like, I can recap it for you?"
"N-No, that's okay, thank you though!" She shook her hand before gathering up her strength. "I'm here because⌠Well you see, my soulmate mark-"
"Ooohhh, I see." He was quick to catch on, nodding his head. "Please, feel free to inquire anyone present further, and good luck."
"ThanksâŚ"
It certainly felt odd, reaching everyone so suddenly for such a question. Amidst that group of mostly young men, was her soulmate⌠She supposed that was enough justification for the way her heart was outright pounding in her chest.Â
And thus, her questioning began.
"Uh, excuse me? Is your constellation⌠Lupus Aureus?"Â
"Hi, sorry for the question, is your constellation Lupus Aureus?"
"You don't happen to have your constellation named Lupus Aureus, do you?"
She practically went through every student there, her friend patiently waiting for any outcome by her table. Her face at that point was burning, her heartbeat almost audible to those around her. By the end there weren't many left, and as the General Mahamatra himself was putting his deck away, the young woman took a deep breath and approached him.
Surely, it wasn't him. Surely someone as grand as the General had already found his soulmate, yet it didn't hurt to get it out if the way.Â
"Excuse me, General?" Her voice was soft when addressing him, him in turn humming softly before turning her way. "You don't⌠Happen to have your constellation be Lupus Aureus, do you?" There was silence on his end, prompting her to fill it with more talk. "Sorry, it's just- It's my soulmate's constellation, and while I was here my mark began to glow and⌠WellâŚ"
The General Mahamatra was still quiet, his gaze piercing hers as his expression didn't shift. [F/N] almost felt like she should expect some sort of retribution for addressing him, his eyes nearly suffocating her with the aura of respect he presented.Â
"...Aureus Sirius?" He muttered out in a monotone voice, rendering her rather confused.Â
"H-Huh?" She breathed out.
"Aureus Sirius? Because that really is my constellation."
"...."Â
She needed time to process it.Â
Not the joke, the mere fact that it indeed was his constellation.
"...Get it?" The General mumbled, his face still not shifting. "Aureus because it's part of the name of my constellation, and Sirius because it's another constellation to which it's related to, according to the astrologer I visited."
It was her turn to be frozen in place, completely silent. Her eyes were now fixated on his, incredulous while still processing what he'd just said. The joke was absolutely terrible, and definitely not something she would've expected from the General Mahamatra. StillâŚ. The way he went out of his way to explain it was what had broke her façade, a crack of a smile appearing on her face before she let out a huff of a laugh.Â
"Yes⌠Yes I do get itâŚ"
"Funny, right?" He revealed a hint of a smile. Sure she could deny it, but before she were to say it, he cut her to the chase. "You laughed."
She had⌠Albeit not for the reason he hoped it was. Still, it felt like all the pressure of the situation had suddenly dissipated.
"I'm [F/N], and-"
"You're my soulmate." He softly cut her off, his eyes suddenly growing softer. It was like he felt relief to have finally found her. "Please, call my Cyno."
Cyno, the acclaimed King of Invocation TCG. Well, sure, turned out he really was a king of his own kind.Â
"Oh⌠Of course." [F/N] gave him a shy but sincere smile, holding her own hands whilst playing with her fingers in nervousness. "...Would you like to have a coffee with me?"
"Of course."
The way he glanced at her⌠Something in [F/N] told her this time everything would sail much smoother.

a more compact/organized post about my au mostly for myself where i keep all the infos and lore i posted so far in one + links to specific comics or doodles i did [will update over time]

set in a (well, even more) fantastical version of sumeru. theres a curse going wild for a long time, and no cure so far. no one knows where, when or why it spread, only that once someone becomes cursed, all that awaits is death.
kaveh, the prince of sumeru, is cursed since birth and can no longer bear to sit and wait for his end to come; especially with his mother watching him fall more and more to the curse to the point it hurts her just looking at him. he doesnt want to cause her pain and make her watch him grow weak and die; he rather wants to use the time left to find a way to break the curse, to save the others that still have a chance for a cure unlike him who is doomed to die and turn into a shadowy creature to haunt the lands.
his journey leads him to a certain, mysterious witch who came up with a spell to freeze the curse for some time - it needs to be redone regularly though to stall it. driven by his interest and curiosity in the curse and the prince, the witch agrees on accompanying kaveh on his travels; renewing the spell to give kaveh more time while pursuing the truth and origin of the curse. on their travels, they also meet a certain forest watcher and his partner, and a mercenary who become a part of their small group, and together they journey all across of sumeru in search of a way to break the curse for once and all, saving their loved ones.
the curse
its origin is unknown so far. once someone becomes cursed, they fall sick and slowly but painfully wither away as it spreads over their body. shadowy, bark-like markings spread over the body, skin and joints growing stiff and painful to move
the curse feeds on the bodies energy until it switches to the persons soul to devour it next and turn them into a mindless shadowy creature. usually the body cant handle it anymore though; the cursed one dies from weakness and their organs failing before their souls can be devoured. coma is the final stage before the body ultimately breaks down, taking the curse "safely" with them in death. once cursed, there is no "easy" way out of it. unnatural death while the curse is still active and powerful, feeding on the persons energy, will unleash it and curse everyone and everything around it. the curse is known to take, to wither everything and everyone away - the only thing that doesnt wither away are mourning flowers. those flowers bloom as long as the curse is active and festering and they start to wilt more the weaker the curse gets; therefore, the closer death is. people use those flowers to measure the time left they are able to spend with their loved cursed ones until they die to the curse. people believe the curse is what keeps the flower blooming and as soon as the body gets weaker which in turns makes the curse lose its power as well (since it cant feed on the body any longer), the flower starts to wilt more and more as well just like the cursed one until they both die. this is why some people bury their loved cursed ones with the flower as a symbol of protection for their souls in the afterlife. so far there seems no way to cure or fight the curse other than succumbing to it and taking it to the grave. still, kaveh wants to try and find a way while he can.

a prince born cursed, the way it works on and in him differs from others. like the others, he constantly feels pain and on some days even weakness where he can barely hold anything; those seem to be the days when the curse advances on his body to devour some more of him. unlike the others hes still withstanding it though and doesnt show the other usual symptoms such as chronic fatigue and weakness, sickness, etc. because of being born cursed, his body seems to be used to living with it; the curse has started devouring his body and soul simultaneously already. it means his body will hold out until his soul is fully devoured. he is doomed to fall to the curse and lose himself. there are records of people who were like him, born cursed, and those have turned into shadowy mindless beasts that roam the lands, killing everyone and everything in their way once body and soul were devoured. the day that kaveh dies to the curse, his body will be controlled by the curse alone once it took over his soul and hurt everyone. he desperately wants to stop that with all his power; not to come out of this alive or have a peaceful death but to save people from the curse and the danger of himself once he turned. its not like he doesnt mind dying or doesnt wish to come out alive. its just after all those years of anger and hurt and constant questions on why him, he had started to accept his fate. he still wishes to find a way, at least for everyone else, to save them from the curse and from himself. his father also died to the curse when he was still young. now that he is also cursed, he cant bear seeing his mother in such emotional pain as they both wait for his death. instead of appreciating the time hes still there, it seems she is mourning already and he doesnt want to cause her more pain by simply being near her. its why he sets out in the middle of the night and leaves the capital without looking back.
he wears the mourning flowers in his hair to keep an eye on his condition and time left while hes on his journey. he loves to paint and dance; because of the curse and the pains that come with it periodically, he cant hold a quill for too long though. he wields his claymore by himself (yes) when he is able to; when the pain strikes, his fathers dagger strapped to his hip is his choice of weapon to defend himself.

a mysterious witch living completely unbothered in solitude. when he was young, he was banned and cast out from the witches realm in the forest for breaking one of the 6 rules, committing a sin. outside of that, little is known about him other than him being the most proficient in anything regarding spells, curses and ancient languages; some say he is able to speak all the languages known - though if that is true, only he knows. however, if asked how many languages he can actually speak, he will answer with a random number each time - or none at all, depending on his mood. (everything he does seems to be depending on his mood) witches are known to live in their realm, safe and separated from the rest of sumeru, rarely getting involved with others as in the past they often got taken away and have their powers misused by foul people. so its completely surprising to see one of them living unbothered outside of the realm, avoiding people but not hostile or fearful when approached. his grandmother fell victim to the curse. as a child, he tried his everything to become strong and study a lot, to come up with a spell to relieve her pains and break the curse. he dove deep into the study of curses and ancient runes, deep enough to reach something he was not supposed to see, in order to learn the origin of the curse to weave a spell to counter it. he did not manage to do that but he did come up with the beginnings of a spell that can halt curses for some time. it came too late though because his grandmother had passed away. shortly after, he was banned from the realm for studying the origins in order to learn the truth about the curse and how to break it. banishment serves as a way to protect; if a witch commits too many of the sins, the power of knowledge might corrupt and destroy them. the rules exist to rein the thirst and curiosity in; to protect from the truths. despite everything, haitham never ceased his studies. the older the word, the more power it holds; so basically by being a nerd he grew really strong in magical powers so there is no need for him to feel fear outside of the realm. he also knows perfectly well how to wield a sword (he has one) and how to kick ass without magic or weapons. hes completely capable on his own. haitham does the barest minimum out of comfort and doesnt reveal anything about himself which often leads to people (who dont know him) to underestimate and mistake him for the feeble mage he likes to call himself - much to their regret.
he enjoys to mess with kaveh and doesnt care if he is a prince or cursed (which kaveh actually enjoys but would never admit it, since ppl usually treat him different because he is the prince and cursed) and decides to accompany him on his journey out of his own interest in the curse, its origin and the truths, but also in kaveh - developing feelings for him and his early motivations changing later on.
haitham is able to understand animals and other creatures - mehrak and kavehs beast form included.

now, despite haitham being able to buy kaveh more time with his spell, some time on their journey a huge incident accelerates the curse, about to claim kaveh in the end. haitham is struck by fear for the first time and decides to try one last thing no matter how much of a risk it is.
he succeeds and manages to rein in the uncontrolled flow of the curse in kavehs body. since he was in the process of turning completely and losing himself to the curse, kaveh gains the ability to freely change between his cursed beast form and his normal, human form.
he is completely stable of mind and himself but his speech is a garbled whispery mess in non human language so he cant communicate with others except with haitham.
haitham on the other hand took a great risk with changing the flow; by interfering with life and death he committed another sin and exposed himself to the curse during the ritual. he took the damage on the mind and soul that was meant for kaveh; basically splitting the curse between them, risking corruption more and more - if it didnt start already.

I saw that requests were still open and I crawled back from the firey pits of hell to offer you Scaramouche brain rott along with a personal AU that hit me like a foking brick like two days ago.
So first off. Imagine if you will. That Mr. McGrump wasn't actually just one entity but actually a trio of twin brothers that wandered around Teyvat known as the "the trio of eccentrics". They despise each other (cuz of course they do) but decide to travel together cuz no matter how hard they try to NOT bump into each other, the world is just so big for a trio of dumbasses that are chaotic on their own right.
They cannot get along to save their lives. The amount of times Scaramouche and Wanderer have gotten smacked on the face with Kabukimono's smithing hammer are just too many to count. Not to mention that as feeble as he appears to be he has a scarily good aim much to his brother's previous dismay as they have been greeted with a flying hammer to the back of the head multiple times when they have run into each other "by chance" before.
People tend just get confused when one of them randomly spawns on a town and seemingly sprout two other clones like some kind of mitosis type shit until they realize it's just a trio of siblings.
I also low-key feel y/n would accidentally bump and help all of them separatedly by chance only for them to all either think of them fondly or straight up have a little crush on them. I can just see Kabuki rambling to wanderer how some sweet person saved him from a hoard of electro slimes only for him to remember how someone offered to invite him to some food in one of his travels similar to the one his brother mentioned. Only for Scara to interrupt demanding if they were talking about this one very specific person that offered him shelter that one time he was injured after some misiĂłn or something. Cue y/n casually walking by and all of them losing their collective shit cuz HOLY SHIT THAT'S THEM- WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU KNOW THEM TOO????? And thus the quest of winning over the kind stranger begins.
Idk if this was even mildly entertaining but this idea has been eating my brain for days and needed to spew it somewhere. Love your work! â¨â¨â¨
OMLL HOWW YOUR BRAINROTS ARE SO GOOD I CANT đđ this took me a while to write but i had to get everything out to even do this idea some justice itâs got me giggling fr

ft. Scaramouche, Kabukimono, Wanderer
Content: fluff, crack (but treated seriously)
a/n - innocent Kabukimono just lives rent free in my heart omlll like just imagine a less traumatised Scara <33
The trio of short haired, violet-eyed wanderers (also known as âthe trio of eccentricsâ by the local children) were a common sight in Teyvat. Prior to the revelation that they were, in fact, siblings, people had believed that they were either a teleporting ghost or some human aphid with miraculous cloning abilities. That was until someone saw two of the them in the same room, and connected the dots.
Scaramouche, the Wanderer, and Kabukimono were inseparable - not of their own will, of course. On their erratic, impulsive routes across Sumeru, theyâd somehow cross paths more often than they wanted. In fact, theyâd made an effort to avoid each other. The Wanderer had retreated all the way to the Hypostyle Desert, cackling at his own genius. Unfortunately, he also found Scaramouche and Kabukimono at the desert too - both dumbfounded at the ridiculous situation. Somehow, all three of them had simultaneously decided that hiding in the desert to not see each other was a great idea.
âWhat are you doing here?â the Wanderer had blurted.
âNo, what are you doing here? I had this idea yesterday!â Kabukimono cried.
âBoth of you, get out of my sight. I hatched this plan two weeks ago.â Scaramouche grumbled.
âOh, how diabolical and calculating you are,â the Wanderer rolled his eyes, as though he wasnât just praising himself for what he thought was the most intelligent idea to ever exist.
âFine, Iâll leave first.â Kabukimono sighed. Perhaps it was because he was the youngest, but he was always ended up giving in to his brothers.
âPushover,â the Wanderer smirked.
âSays the unemployed one,â Scaramouche scoffed.
âAt least I have a vision.â
âShut up.â
The many other times the trio convened by accident, two of them werenât even conscious to fully process their irritation. The moment Kabukimono spotted Scaramouche or the Wanderer at his favourite resting place, heâd let loose his hammer - striking them on the back of the head with scary aim. Heâd congratulate himself if he managed to score a concussion, too. It wasnât as though the others didnât defend themselves equally vigorously. If they couldnât settle things with words, the brothers would just break out into fighting.
Things were especially bad when the Wanderer got ahold of Kabukimonoâs hammer. Upon wrestling it out of the blacksmithâs grip, the Wanderer would flit into the air, gleefully holding the hammer out of reach until Scaramouche had enough and struck him down with a bolt of lightning.
âYou look like a fly when you do that, you know?â
âYouâre just jealous.â
Somehow, you were always at the centre of the trioâs unpredictable paths of destruction across Teyvat. You never really guessed at the connection between them, only dismissing it as a mere coincidence that youâd developed a fondness for three purple haired, short-tempered travellers.
As an adventurer, youâd first met Kabukimono on one of your errands.
âStay away!â
You heard the clanging of something heavy on your inspection in Guyun, turning around to locate the source of the voice.
You followed the commotion around past the domain youâd just exited from, finding a crevice tucked away into a small beach-like area. Clumps of electro crystals clung to the stone walls of the cove, the lapping of the waves only perpetuating the intense elemental reactions. At the centre of it all was a strangely dressed man, being attacked by a hoard of electro slimes. He flailed around with a blacksmithâs hammer, presumably caught in his own attempt to mine valuable ores for a project.
His clothes looked to be of Inazuman attire, too - what was an Inazuman doing, looking for electro crystals all the way out in Liyue?
âDo you need help?â You crouched down, a little hesitant over whether or not it was obligatory for you to jump into the electro-charged mess.
âIt⌠certainly looks like it, doesnât it?â The man flashed you a defeated smile. Luckily, as a pyro vision holder, it wasnât too difficult for you to deal with the slimes. With a brief flash of your vision, you also mined the ores for the stranger as well.
âAh! So they require elemental triggers to be mined. No wonder it was taking me so long. Thank you, by the way - Iâm Kabukimono.â The stranger extended a hand. You took it, but he didnât shake it. The two of you stood there awkwardly for a moment, before he released your hand.
âAh, sorry⌠Thatâs what I see people at the workshop do when they meet someone new. Is it strange?â
âNo, of course not! You usually shake the hand after holding it, though.â You quipped helpfully.
âOh.â A flush spread across his cheeks. He thanked you vehemently once again, insisting on offering you some spare iron in exchange for your help.
âTravel safe!â You called after Kabukimono, as he hurried off. He was a little strange, but his awkwardness was rather endearing. You smiled and shook your head, before resuming work and thinking nothing more of the entire ordeal.
Unlike Kabukimono, the second of the trio you met was a lot more irritable. You met the Wanderer at some food stalls in Sumeru city, almost mistaking him for the acquaintance youâd met in Guyun - only to be quickly corrected by his vastly different attitude.
âWatch it.â The stranger that looked suspiciously like Kabukimono (but with a remarkably more hostile, pointed gaze) shoved past you.
âThese lavender melons. How much do they cost?â Not-Kabukimono asked the vendor, tapping his foot impatiently.
âUh, 200 mora-â
âWhat? Who sells trash like this so expensively? Forget it, I didnât want them anyway.â The Wanderer scoffed, turning to leave before you quickly grabbed him.
âIf youâre hungry, you can eat at my place. I have some leftovers,â you offered. He narrowed his eyes at you suspiciously.
âWhy are you helping me? Is this a poisoning attempt?â
âNo⌠You just remind me of an acquaintance of mine, so I thought Iâd look out for you.â
âPfft, I donât need your baseless concern.â
At that moment, the manâs stomach grumbled. The two of you made eye contact, before reaching a silent agreement.
âMy house is that way,â you pointed, as the stranger begrudgingly followed you.
Even if he didnât say so, the stranger most definitely enjoyed your cooking. After introducing himself as the Wanderer, he was quick to open up - always stopping by to visit (claiming that you were a convenient dining place for his travels).
Whenever he stopped by, youâd laugh and cook him a warm meal - it almost felt like home to him, or at least what he thought a home was. He never really had one, nor did he care for the notion, but this arrangement was quite pleasant for him. If the Wanderer was in a good mood, heâd even share some of his travelling stories with you. Heâd boast about the enemies he defeated in the wilderness, complain about the stupidity of mortals, before giving you the rare piece of acknowledgement (âyou know, your cooking is edible,â or âitâs definitely not poisoned,â etc.).
You quickly grew to anticipate his sporadic visits, getting an understanding of what kind of food he preferred. You werenât sad when he didnât arrive, and the two of you thrived off a mutual relationship. The Wanderer was surely different from your other companion, but that didnât make him any less welcome.
Lastly, youâd met Scaramouche on an ominous rainy day. Or, rather, heâd been deposited on your doorstep.
âI donât remember ordering a parcelâŚâ You peered out into your doorway, squinting through the lashing rain - before realising that this âparcelâ was very much human-shaped.
With a surprised gasp, you dragged the figure inside as carefully as you could, wincing at the blood mixed with rainwater that swirled across his smooth skin. Peeling back the heavy layers of his outer coat, you took off the manâs hat to gape again in shock.
âKabukimono?â You spluttered.
âWho are you calling Kabukimono?â The stranger snapped, sitting up slowly.
âWanderer?â You tried again, guessing based on the manâs furious expression.
âHah, you dare toâŚâ
Before the stranger (that was neither Kabukimono nor the Wanderer) could finish his sentence, he passed out again in a haze of dizzying unconsciousness.
The manâs deep indigo eyes fluttered open a while later to the sight of you tending his wounds. He immediately flinched away, looking at you incredulously.
âWho are you? Why am I here?â
âYou quite literally passed out on my porch, then again in my house. Donât you remember?â You quirked an eyebrow.
âYou dare gaslight a Fatui Harbinger? Try as hard as you want, but I wonât be giving you financial compensation for this.â
âYouâre⌠a HarbingerâŚ?â You frowned. He sure acted and looked a lot like the Wanderer - perhaps heâd hit his head a little too hard.
âYes, Scaramouche. Iâm better known as the Balladeer, of course.â
âIâve never heard of you.â
âWell, then that just means weâre doing a great job of maintaining confidentiality.â Scaramouche huffed, allowing you to continue wrapping bandages around the deep gashes on his body. You chuckled at his demeanour.
âIâm not expecting anything in return for this.â You offered, leaning back to scrutinise your medical work. Years of adventuring had given you experience in this sort of thing, but your expertise was still lacking.
âThen why? Donât tell me, you believe in kindness?â
âAnyone would do this if they found a stranger half-dead at their door in the pouring rain.â You rolled your eyes.
âI was not half-dead, and Iâm perfectly capable of taking care of myself.â Scaramouche huffed, and you almost gawked at how similar he was to the Wanderer.
âUm, do you happen to know anyone named⌠UhâŚâ You hesitated under your new acquaintanceâs fierce gaze.
âNamed what? Do I look like an Akasha terminal to you?â
âNever mind.â You quickly shut your mouth. Perhaps it was just a coincidence.
It took a few months before the trio finally figured out they had a mutual connection. Theyâd all visited you countless times, and yet were lucky enough not to encounter each other - that was, until they finally began talking about their latest travel experiences upon having a chance meeting in Sumeru.
âHm, perhaps this is what mortals call⌠comradeshipâŚâ Kabukimono mused to his brothers one day.
âFeeling a little amicable, Kabukimono?â Scaramouche sneered. He eyed the glimmering purple blade Kabukimono flipped over in his hands.
âThere was this adventurer who saved me from some electro slimes once. It was because of them that I could fashion this dagger⌠Humans really are compassionate.â Kabukimono mused. He happily smiled to himself at the reminder of you.
âYouâre so naive, brother. After all, mortals are only driven by fair exchange. Nobody would help without expecting it return - ah, there is one exception. There was this person I met who offered me food. Iâve been having free meals with them for months, and they donât even know how Iâm taking advantage of them! How immature they are, selflessly acting like that. It almost makes me concerned for their well-being,â the Wanderer chuckled.
âI donât think youâre taking advantage of them if youâre⌠just accepting the free meals they give you. It almost seems they have you wrapped around their finger.â Scaramouche snickered.
âYou wouldnât understand the idea of a mutually beneficial relationship. In fact, have you even talked to a living being other than your colleagues in the last week?â
âYes, you, and a certain traveller who took me in after I was injured in a mission-â
âYou got injured? How pathetic.â
âIt was a calculated risk. Anyway, they gave me shelter and treated all my wounds without asking for mora once. And they even let me stay over long after Iâd healed, too. Mortals are so foolish, to be blindly trusting. I couldâve snapped their throat in a second.â
The three brothers agreed on the extremely rare and (questionably naive) selflessness of humans.
Then, a beat of silence passed before a revelation dawned on them.
âIsnât it weird that weâve all met a strange, helpful adventurer?â Kabukimono murmured.
âExactly what I was thinking. Surely not all humans are like this.â Scaramouche nodded.
âMaybe foolishness is more common than we thoughtâŚ?â The Wanderer suggested, but an uneasy feeling was dawning on him as he began to connect the dots.
âSay, does the traveller you two met live near the Grand Bazaar?â Scaramouche prodded.
âYes.â Kabukimono and the Wanderer responded simultaneously.
âAnd they have an adventurerâs bandana? With a Mondstadtian clock in the front room of their house?â
âYes- YOU TWO KNOW THEM AS WELL?â Kabukimono spluttered.
The Wanderer only heaved a large sigh. He was so close to showing off that he had a new friend, only to realise that the new friend was also acquainted with both his brothers.
âHow bothersome, it seems youâre already close with them.â Scaramouche raised an eyebrow.
âOf course I am! I met them first, after all.â Kabukimono insisted.
âBoth of you, be quiet. Iâm going to their place now.â The Wanderer pushed back his chair.
âHey! I was planning to visit them too!â
The scraping of chairs resounded as the remaining two brothers hurriedly rushed to get to your house.
Any other person would probably pass out from fear at seeing all three of the notorious trio appear at their door. You, however, only shot them a bemused look and ushered them in.
Once the three realised they had competition, Scaramouche, the Wanderer, and Kabukimono would be unrelenting in competing for your attention.
It was quite comical at times - youâd barely have to say anything and one of them would appear, diligently doing tasks for you and looking back at you eagerly for praise. It seemed almost strange to consider that these three had been marvelling at your profound naiveness only a few days ago, and were now basically at your beck and call.
Scaramouche would definitely be the most demanding. Whether it was a hand on your elbow or a risky grip on your wrist, he made sure you were close to him and sought your undivided attention. Heâd recklessly snap out searing insults at anyone else, before getting ahold of himself and stating that he was merely defending a poor, foolish soul from being taken advantage of by some calculating purple-haired villain. Not him though, heâd never do anything like that.
The Wanderer (like his name) was more relaxed - he could go without your eyes on him at all times, and heâd drift in and out as he pleased. However, he did see himself as being entitled to your energy whenever he did happen to stop by. Occasionally, heâd even offer to take you on a scenic flight across Teyvat. After youâd tried it once, you were quick to refuse his latter offers - zooming across rooftops at breakneck speed was not your forte. The Wanderer huffed at your reluctance and accused you of denying his altruistic favour, but made an effort to do things you liked regardless.
Kabukimono was fiercely shy. Heâd always bring you trinkets - small mechanisms or self-defends tools heâd fashioned from spare parts during his work as a blacksmith. Heâd press them into your hands self-consciously, unable to bite back a smile when you praised his handiwork. He wouldnât hesitate to stand up against his much fiercer brothers if it was for you, holding you in a tight embrace whenever youâd let him.
And so, as it happened, it seemed as though âthe eccentric trioâ simply couldnât escape each other. As if by some ill-humoured joke, they all ended up liking the same person. The only issue was, being that person, you now had to deal with all three of them at once.
As if one wasnât enough, you now had triple the trouble.

PowerPoint night with the genshin cast â¨
NO BC I SAW THIS IN MY INBOX AND I WAS FROTHING AT THE MOUTH WITH TOO MANY IDEASSS, the energy is just this:
You introduce the wonderful concept of powerpoints, then a powerpoint night and you should expect absolute chaos
Mondstadt over here like,
"Why I Deserve Wine:
I am a god
I am YOUR god, give me offerings duh
(insert conclusion here)"
by Venti, he didn't even both filling out some slides, and they're all just plain text with maybe a nice selfie of himself on the first slide lmao
STOP, DILUC'S POWERPOINT BEING A 40 SLIDE PRESENTATION RESPONSE TO VENTI'S AHALKSJ
or better yet, Creator!You version:
"An Explanation of Why the One Above Us All Would Enjoy Living in Liyue During Their Stay Here" by Zhongli, which takes approx. 4+ hours to get thru, and its his case for why u should stay in Liyue Harbor - half the ppl there are actually paying attention and the other half are fast asleep (u included)
Meanwhile Yae Miko trying to stir the pot like, "Which Vision-User, God, or Nation is Our Ruler's Favorite" đ
Also another presentation that would make several ppl give response presentations and it just becomes: HER SISTER WAS A WITCH BRO = THE CREATOR LIKES SUMERU MORE BRO
CRYING- people like Zhongli, Albedo, Alhaitham, Xingqiu, Neuvillette, Xiao, Sucrose, Jean, Ei/Raiden Shogun, Faruzan all misunderstanding and thinking u actually want a real presentation from them đđ
ngl all the Sumeru/Akademiya/Fontaine characters have probably gotten somewhat close to doing some kind of equivalent to this, mostly bc ppl will debate abt the stupidest stuff over there so they get it, wonder if they made drinking games out of it lol
(first question from Sumeru characters is "what is powerpoint night, and why has Alhaitham probably already won it")
pls im so braindead rn there are ENDLESS possibilities for this, if anyone has more I am LISTENING!!!
Safe Travel 0rah,

Dragon AU
another modern au but very different from the last. Zhongven is mentioned here but it isnât the main focus of the AU
tldr: Long into the future, all the immortal beings live in a sanctuary mimicking old teyvat. Majority of the beings remain in non human forms, including the majority of archons living as dragons.
-takes place during modern times, all immortal and magical being take the form of dragons (for the archons + dragon sovereigns) and other mythical beings (for adept us, youkai, Melusine, ect)
-they all live together in a sanctuary protecting beings of old, the staff are the current vision holders.
-the archons have gone into hiding, taking a sort of retirement living in the sanctuary. The staff arenât aware the archons live within the sanctuary.
-the sanctuary itself is a large space modified to fits the needs of each species living there, itâs got a see through dome on the top of it to let natural light in, itâs also through this dome that visitors can observe the species inside.
-each area is modified to match each region of teyvat, including miniature models of the old cities and landmarks.
-most creatures from a specific region will stay in their home region, but some outliers travel between multipleÂ

-zhongli looks like his usual dragon form, venti looks a bit smaller, similar colours to dvalin with bird wings and feathers. During the winter, ventiâs feathers will turn white and puff up to protect from the snow.
-sometimes zhongli and venti will sneak out and return to their human forms for a little date, and return before the sanctuary workers can notice.
-non-archons living within the sanctuary include the adeptus (Xiao, Madam Ping, Cloud Retainer, ect), Youkai (Itto, Gorou, Kujou Sara, ect) and various species in teyvat such as Lynetteâs cat species

All the Kavetham/Haikaveh ideas I don't have capacity to currently write, a very detailed list:
(Which I am humbly placing here before you. Be warned: this post is an incredibly long one!)
1. Fatui!Kaveh AU, where the night before the meeting happens between Kaveh and Alhaitham at the tavern, Kaveh gets a deal from Fatui representatives to work on a huge project in Snezhnaya. Kaveh is sceptical about it, but decides to accept the offer during the dialogue with Alhaitham (seeing himself as a burden, Kaveh decides that he will cause more trouble to Alhaitham than the Fatui, thus he decides to accept their offer even if it seems too good to be true). He tells Alhaitham about his decision to leave for Snezhnaya, and so the two relatively amicably/peacefully part their ways (not without Alhaitham testing Kaveh's reasoning a bit, but Kaveh's resolve remains strong).
And so, Kaveh leaves for Snezhnaya, where he gets to work on several huge projects for the next several years under Sandrone. Most of them are related to construction, engineering and reverse-engineering of Khaenri'ahn and Khaenri'ah-inspired technology, and he gets barely any time to work on his personal projects (he's overworked and exhausted and doesn't get much time and opportunity to be creative; however, the payments are good and he's on his way to getting out of debt, which is practically the sole reason driving him forward. The projects get progressively more complicated and, in a way, unhinged - engineering military equipment is alright, but working with the remains of Khaenri'ahn technology, dead gods and such proves to be... mentally taxing. Everything happens very gradually though, so Kaveh does not immediately notice the true scale of where the Fatui are ready to go to achieve certain goals). Kaveh doesn't really like the work environment of the Fatui, but he does his best (the Harbingers creep him out whenever he gets to see them on a rare official occasion (he might specifically dislike Pantalone because the Harbinger keeps picking at him for his debt, given a chance), but Sandrone's a decent boss who is somewhat encouraging and invested in his work and personal projects. She might be especially interested in Mehrak's existence and operation). Overall, everything goes quite smoothly for Kaveh, even if he doesn't feel quite at home in Snezhnaya and is aware of how dangerous the Fatui can be. He does not consider himself to be paranoid, but the other shoe has to drop at some point - and that happens when the new Acting Grand Sage of Sumeru gets to visit Snezhnaya on a diplomatic mission (aka: Kaveh reconnects with Alhaitham & Co for the first time in what feels like forever). The situation gets complicated when Kaveh realizes that Sandrone encourages the reestablishment of his connection with Alhaitham specifically - and she never encourages an action if she doesn't directly contribute from it.
Feelings, emotions and shenanigans ensue.
TLDR: Kaveh's doing his best despite being restricted in his ways of work, prevented from realizing most of his creative projects and slowly but surely building emotional walls around himself because Fatui and Snezhnaya; Sandrone being a kind of decent boss with sorta good work ethic but horrendous morals who is not exactly a good influence on Kaveh's idealistic tendencies and guilt complex; Fatui being contextually horrifying but kinda normal coworkers if you don't look at them too close; Alhaitham trying his best as a political figure (Nahida help him) while also trying to get Kaveh to return home with him (because he misses him); the main conflict revolving around Kaveh and his life choices with Sandrone and Alhaitham being kind of foils to each other (with Sandrone gradually destroying Kaveh's idealistic morals and playing on his guilt to get the most out of his potential as an innovator, and with Alhaitham actively trying to resolve Kaveh's guilt and show him that, despite their arguments, Kaveh's idealism still has place in the world and can co-exist with other philosophies). There might or might not be some macguffin-esque Deshret relic that both Akademia and Fatui hunt for that eventually brings the whole crew back to Sumeru. Kaveh might or might not get a chance to meet a fragment of Deshret's spirit within the mentioned relic. But there definitely will be a happy end for everyone here (Deshret will make sure of it).
2. Calamity!AU. The new Cataclysm comes, enveloping all Seven Nations, and so Sumeru does its best to survive. The cities are ruined, and the people gather together in random places to survive. Alhaitham gets to live within one of the settlements, established by the Akademiya. While trying to survive the first wave of the new Calamity, he is also looking for Kaveh; after an argument between the two the architect left for an expedition to the Desert, right before the new Calamity began. Unfortunately, the news comes that his group should have been around Tunigi Hollow - one of the spots in Sumeru where the first wave of the new Calamity hit the hardest. There is no concrete information on whether Kaveh's group survived or not. Alhaitham, not loosing hope, does his best to find any information on Kaveh's whereabouts, but due to Sumeru becoming extremely dangerous to traverse and disjointed as a result of the new Calamity, the search stretches out for almost a decade.
One day Alhaitham helps a caravan, traversing the forests to get to one of the settlements, to fight off the monsters. Unexpectedly, Kaveh turns out to be one of the members of the caravan. Their reunion is almost cut short by the caravan's need to keep going, but Alhaitham convinces Kaveh to join him instead. The two return to the new Sumeru city settlement, where Alhaitham lives and works under the watch of Akademiya and Lord Kusanali. It appears that during his years of travels around the destroyed Sumeru Kaveh learned new ways of architectural construction that would be more efficient against the monsters, born by the Calamity. He also seems to behave quite differently, hardened by the experiences of the past years. Alhaitham proposes for Kaveh to stay with him in the city, and Kaveh accepts. The feelings, new routines, dealings with the changed versions of each other and attempts to find new pace of life in the new world ensue.
TLDR: The world might be ending and impossible to live in, but even so each new day is brighter when the person one loves is by their side.
3. Another Cataclysm!AU, where Kaveh and Alhaitham get assigned separate missions in the grander scheme of things created to prevent the coming of a new Calamity. The plan succeeds and the world remains safe, but not without heavy losses: amongst many others, Kaveh does not survive while carrying out his mission.
Decades pass as Alhaitham goes through his grieving process. Eventually, one evening on the anniversary of the Calamity's prevention, Alhaitham wanders to a place he and Kaveh used to visit together. A Ley Line disruption occurs, and he gets to see a glimpse of Kaveh through it. They have a conversation; the Ley Line apparition (a memory of Kaveh) is convinced that Alhaitham is from the future, and so they talk a lot about the Calamity, whether it was prevented, and about each other's futures. Alhaitham can't bring himself to tell Kaveh that he does not survive the Calamity, but he does tell Kaveh that his architectural legacy lives on. Kaveh commends Alhaitham on his achievements (though not an acting grand sage for a very long time, Alhaitham kept playing an important role throughout Sumeru's history, helping to keep it safe).
Eventually, their time runs out. Ley Line disorder starts gradually disappearing. Alhaitham urges Kaveh to be careful and stay safe, knowing that the Calamity (on Kaveh's side) is yet to come. Kaveh laughs and tells him that on his side, Alhaitham just told him the same words after they finished the debriefing session, related to the Calamity. He says that he was feeling very nervous, but that seeing future-Alhaitham made him convinced that they are on the right path.
And so, the Ley Line disorder disappears. Alhaitham spends some more time at the spot before returning home. Despite painful memories having been brought up, his heart feels a bit lighter.
TLDR: closure comes unexpectedly, takes many forms and does not erase the pain in an instant, but, nevertheless, it heals.
4. AU! where Kaveh and Alhaitham are both magical birds that can transform into humans (and half-humans).
They live together in the depths of Sumeru forest - a domain of a long lost God of Wisdom. Kaveh's feathers are rumoured to bring blessings, while Alhaitham's feathers, on the contrary, are said to bring bad luck or even curses. Humans, living at the edge of magical forest, kinda worship them, but also prefer not to interact with them, primarily because Alhaitham is not happy when others trespass on his lands, and because searching for Kaveh is extremely hard (he's often off working on his projects deep within the forest), and the magical forest is very dangerous on its own. So, the humans build their cities outside of the Sumeru forest, and Alhaitham and Kaveh peacefully live together in the depths of it.
Despite Kaveh and Alhaitham living together for a long time, their opinions on humanity are diametrically opposed: Alhaitham barely tolerates humans, finding them to be reckless, meddling, cowardly and deceitful; Kaveh, on the contrary, finds humans to be creative, inspiring, free and beautiful in their own way. Throughout the years, Kaveh manages to build somewhat of an amicable relationship with the humans, living at the edge of the forest: he learns more about their traditions and arts, while the humans receive his guidance and blessings in various matters of living, craftsmanship and arts. Eventually, Kaveh's knowledge and magical powers catch the eye of Lord Sangemah Bay, who resides in and governs one of the bigger settlements at the forest's border. She makes a deal with Kaveh that, despite providing him with valuable (in his eyes) experience of working with humans on some of his grandest architectural projects, costs him a lot - meaning he has to give away lots of his blessed feathers, which makes his remaining magic much weaker (and generally undermines his health for a bit). Alhaitham is not a huge fan of such approach (in his eyes, Kaveh is wasting his powers and time for nothing, endangering himself), and so a conflict between him and Kaveh breaks. As a result, Kaveh flees their home, secluding himself while he's focusing on other projects he finds curious. Kaveh keeps working with humans, and though Alhaitham certainly keeps an eye on Kaveh's wellbeing, he does not make it easy for humans to reach him. So what if there are new random magical seals, obstacles, almost-traps and riddles appearing here and there when people try to get to Kaveh? It's a magical forest, things happen! (Kaveh knows that Alhaitham does this on purpose, and Alhaitham knows that Kaveh knows, and it leads to them indirectly, and then directly bickering and arguing. The magical forest quite possibly grows very tired of them. Their friends Tighnari and Cyno certainly do, but alas.)
The new equilibrium, found by Alhaitham and Kaveh, is challenged once more when Kaveh leaves to the Lord Sangemah Bay's city to direct yet another one of his grand projects. They do not see each other for a long while. Despite all the challenges, Kaveh's relationship with Dori gradually grows stronger - the two value their partnership - and Kaveh ends up making friends amongst humans. However, not everyone is happy about Lord Sangema Bay's growing friendship with the "deity of blessings" personified. As some people come to despise her for her wealth, influence and ever growing power, so do they come to despise the bird of paradise.
When the project is complete, the time for celebration comes. Kaveh gets to attend a feast by Dori's side as a guest of honour, and is invited to stay the night in her palace before returning to the forest. Kaveh agrees: he's been spending all his days and nights at the building site, and resting a night before returning home would be nice. As the night goes on, however, Kaveh begins to feel weary and unwell - the new type of wine he was served did him no good. He excuses himself early for the night and, as soon as he gets to his bed, he's out cold.
After an undetermined amount of time (in what appears to be the middle of the night), Kaveh wakes up because of immense pain in his back.
As he gradually comes to his senses, he has a horrible realization: one of his wings was cut off when he was asleep. Alerting the guards and Dori yields no results: the intruder escaped, presumably with Kaveh's wing, and there are no traces of them left. While Kaveh gets immediately attended to, he goes in shock and, eventually, loses consciousness.
When the messengers form the city arrive to the forest, Alhaitham receives them reluctantly at first, but as soon as he hears of what happened, he rushes to the city. He ends up taking Kaveh back to the forest, hoping that its healing magic will help restore his wing. However, nothing seems to work: neither spells, nor the powers of nature, not even Tighnari's medicine. Though the wound is slowly healing, Kaveh remains unconscious for days. To get more information on what happened, Alhaitham returns to the city to question Dori together with Cyno (who's also to continue the investigation within the city once Alhaitham returns home), while Tighnari stays with Kaveh.
Though the questioning concludes that Dori knows nothing and is willing to assist in the search of the perpetrator, Cyno concludes that she was not thorough enough in ensuring Kaveh's safety and overall security of the celebration in general, revealing that Dori recklessly cut corners here and there. Furious, Alhaitham leaves Dori his cursed feather, giving her an ultimatum: she has to find the perpetrator and give them to Alhaitham to deal the final punishment. Until then, her city is doomed to slowly crumble into decay and oblivion. Dori accepts the deal.
Alhaitham returns to the forest to look after Kaveh, while Cyno remains in the city to continue the search. When Alhaitham comes back, Kaveh is finally awake. However, he remains extremely closed-off, practically a shadow of himself. The recovery process is slow and challenging, but Alhaitham does his best to support Kaveh in all ways that matter. Kaveh struggles with healing: the loss of a wing affected not only his body, but also his mental state and magic. He cannot transform, he can barely use any of his magical skills, and he cannot fly anymore, which hurts him most of all. It takes a while for Kaveh to get on his feet (quite literally), even longer to finally leave his room. He also feels guilty for being in Alhaitham's care, because he remembers all of the Alhaitham warnings about the humans he didn't listen to, and so lots of internal conflict ensues.
Meanwhile Alhaitham does all he can to try and navigate the situation. He looks after Kaveh's healing process; brings back his blueprints and equipment from Kaveh's place so that he has enough to work with if he wishes; he also (to the best of his ability) remodels their home to make it more accessible to Kaveh. Given that their natural method of moving around their house was flying (whether in form of birds of half-humans), Alhaitham now implements more adjustments for walking or climbing. (When Kaveh feels good enough to leave his room, he's amazed by what Alhaitham managed to achieve. He also helps fix some of the constructions, given he's the one with the experience in architecture.) Alhaitham and Kaveh grow closer, slowly unpacking and mending their relationship, turning it into something new and beautiful.
At the same time, Alhaitham continues to watch the forest borders - to make sure that no intruders interrupt Kaveh's recovery and their peaceful life together. One day he notices an interesting sight: a small, but beautiful shrine appeared right by the forest. He decides to investigate; upon approaching the shrine, he meets Nilou (whom he saw in the palace when he visited Dori). She explains to him that, after he and Kaveh left the city, a group of people decided to organize a shrine, dedicated to Kaveh, to pray for his recovery. Nilou explains that in their eyes it's the least they can offer for all the help that their city received in the past and as amends for the pain they have caused. Alhaitham warns her not to get any closer to the forest, but the action of people leaves a lasting impression on him.
Meanwhile, Cyno's investigation progresses. Cyno writes to Alhaitham that together with Dori they managed to find and capture the perpetrator. Questioning reveals no useful information, but Cyno suspects that there might be more to the attack on Kaveh than they anticipated. To uphold his end of the deal Alhaitham goes to the city to deliver the punishment to the attacker and to undo the curse he put on Dori's city. Before he leaves, Kaveh, scared of what might happen to Alhaitham, sews into his cloak a blessed feather for protection (because Alhaitham wouldn't accept it outright). While Alhaitham is away, Kaveh begins working on a new project: a mechanical wing.
When Alhaitham gets to the city, he is led to the cell where the attacker is being held. Cyno and Dori are by his side for the final questioning. The man - a mere mortal (with strange red-ish eyes), one of Dori's citizens - keeps talking in circles, making less and less sense with each new word. Alhaitham lets Cyno and Dori go before rendering the punishment. When the curse (one of Alhaitham's darkest yet) is finally prepared, suddenly, the tables are turned. The perpetrator attacks Alhaitham, but his movements seem unnatural, almost like those of a puppet. Alhaitham realizes, that the man is being controlled by someone with prowess for strong, incredibly dark magic that seems similar to that of the Desert. The strange puppet manages to overpower Alhaitham in a fight, but cannot harm him (due to the protection from Kaveh's feather). The perpetrator manages to escape, taking with him Alhaitham's cursed feather (they seemed to be pleased to receive it. Alhaitham fears to think what they will use it for).
Dori and Cyno pick up the investigation, with Cyno going straight to the Desert. Dori begins reinforcing the city (her people discover that Alhaithams curse (now lifted) awakened Miasma deep under the ground. The Miasma begins to slowly spread, seemingly in the direction of the Sumeru Forest). Cyno sends back a message, confirming that strong and dark magic seems to be gathering within the Desert, possibly for the purpose of destroying the magical forest.
Alhaitham manages to get back to Kaveh and tell him of what happened in the city. In order to be able to protect the forest together with Alhaitham, Kaveh doubles down on his efforts to create a mechanical working wing. Everything works, besides the golden feathers - they need to be blessed in order to allow the mechanism to work as intended, but Kaveh does not have enough power for it. Alhaitham takes a risk and brings the feathers to the shrine, created by Nilou and other humans, so that they could bless them for Kaveh. (They are short of one feather eventually, and Alhaitham gives Kaveh one of his own, his first blessed feather, to complete the wing.)
TLDR: Kaveh works on restoring his wing and faith in himself and humanity; Alhaitham learns that humanity is not always evil. Dori and Cyno discover that the escaped perpetrator (caugh controlled by Dottore caugh) used Kaveh to get to Alhaitham to gain his cursed feather for completing some sort of ancient ritual to unseal the forbidden knowledge magic deep within the Desert in roder to unleash it on the magical forest, slumbering God of Wisdom and human cities. Kaveh learns to curse his feathers (while opposing Dottore in a final fight), and Alhaitham learns to bless his. Humans and Sumeru Forest continue to coexist peacefully. Alhaitham and Kaveh live together happily ever after.
5. Pacific Rim!AU, where Kaveh and Alhaitham used to be pilots of a Jaeger, but during one of their battles they suffered too much damage. In order to save Alhaitham and what remains of their Jaeger, Kaveh takes most of the damage by severing already unstable connection between Alhaitham and Jaeger's system. Both barely survive the encounter, but meanwhile Alhaitham manages to recover fast, the damage Kaveh has taken leaves him in a critical condition, eventually resulting in him being unable to ever pilot a Jaeger ever again (and putting many new restraints on his usual daily life).
As soon as Kaveh comes to his senses, the two have a huge fight about Kaveh's rash decision, and eventually break off their friendship. They don't see each other for a long, long time.
As the time goes on, Kaveh learns how to live with the changes that his body sustained with the help of his service dog Mehrak. Eventually he takes on a job at one of the Jaeger construction facilities (together with his friend Tighnari), studying Kaiju and creating new Jaeger modifications - though no Kaiju has been seen in the past several years, the world is still afraid of their return.
When the suspicion of the new Kaiju appearance arises, new pilot recruits and ex-pilots are summoned to the facility. There, Kaveh meets Alhaitham for the first time in years. After their fallout, Alahitham resigned from piloting Jaegers, yet now he had no choice but to return to train new recruits (and possibly resume his role of a Jaeger pilot). Now once again the two have to work together as a part of a team in face of approaching danger, trying to resolve their past conflicts and overcome their fears and insecurities along the way (when deep down they simply want to keep each other safe).
TLDR: Kaveh & service animal Mehrak is a neat concept I'd love to see more of, just as a concept in general. I think this one could be an interesting story idea centered mostly around Kaveh's day to day life. Additionally, Alhaitham who used to be only drift compatible with Kaveh but now suddenly discovers he's drift compatible with Cyno. I need more Cyno & Alhaitham camaraderie I think it would do them lots of good (at least in this specific AU setting lol).
6. Oxenfree!AU where Kaveh and Alhaitham are two ex-best friends turned reluctant coworkers (photo-journalist and journalist respectively) working on writing a piece about the disappearances of a group of teenagers that happened at the Edwards Island several years prior (timeline somewhere between the first and the second games). The radio shenanigans ensue, making the two face their past, possible futures and, most importantly, their present. (In Oxenfree tuning into certain radio sequences can temporarily mess up time-space shenanigans, just fyi).
TLDR: I just think that this setting could facilitate some character exploration that would be very fun.
7. Modern MermanKaveh!AU, post-fallout, where it's a little bit more about haunting Alhaitham (and the narrative), than being a merman. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, Kaveh drowns one day, trying to save someone from the water. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, he doesn't really die, being stuck in between (existence and death, normal life and the necessity to live in water). Kaveh manages, for quite a while even!
But of course Alhaitham has to come back and turn his world upside down once again.
TLDR: can you tell Alhaitham's quote about drowning stuck with me huh (and I made it literal lol). On a serious note... Idk, vibes??? I want to see the "stuck in the middle" Kaveh, whatever that entails. Some existential explorations. And the development of his relationship with Alhaitham, of course. // Kaveh is a merman unable to fully live the life he used to have, and Alhaitham doesn't know that he survived (for a while), alternatively "let me help to save you from metaphorical and literal drowning" Alhaitham and "I learned to live like this, this is what my norm now looks like" Kaveh.
8. Another Modern MermanKaveh!AU/DrownedGhostKaveh!AU, because I apparently have no self-control (I feel like I should also clarify that whenever I mention a mermaid, I think of them more as of ghosts of drowned people and less as mermaids-mermaids, the half-human half-marine creature ones). This idea was initially prepared for chili/zhongchi but it's been sooooooooooooooooooo long and I still haven't done anything substantial for it so I'm borrowing it from myself for myself and tweaking it for kavetham because I figured it could fit them. So here it goes,
Alhaitham is a scientist/marine biologist that moves from the city to a much smaller port town, getting himself a place in a local partially repurposed lighthouse. Kaveh is a merman, who has been dead for a long while and who's been living within local waters ever since he drowned. Alhaitham leads a very isolated life, going through a rather rough patch emotionally (maybe a badly ended past relationship and relocation from an established group of friends to a remote place brought up past negative emotions related to loss that were bottled up for a while. who knows, not me). Anyways, Alhaitham's not doing too well, but seaside walks help him unwind, even if for a short periods of time. During one of such walks, he finds an old pendant washed ashore. He picks up his find, hoping to do some research on it outside of his work time (because research is his fun-time).
He expects this to be a brief excursion into local history. He does not expect to become haunted by the ghost of a man to whom this pendant belonged to way back when.
Kaveh, in turn, is extremely excited to finally, finally be able to get out of the sea to the surface. He intends to stay ashore as long as possible and, well, if he just so gets to amuse himself by haunting a grumpy marine biologist that refuses to believe in merpeople, ghosts of drowned and other supernatural occurences - who's he to say no?
TLDR: this AU can go two ways (in my eyes): the happy ending way and probably more gothic-horror-story-esque ending. So, Alahitham is cursed to be haunted by Kaveh: for a while he's the only one who can see him, with Kaveh being something akin to a ghost. However, the longer Kaveh haunts Alhaitham, the more human he becomes (others can see him, he cannot phase through walls anymore, etc.). The curse in itself goes something like this: the cursed thing, after being picked up/taken in, cannot be thrown away and will always come back. The ghost, tied to the haunted thing, shall haunt whoever picks the cursed thing (the thing should be tied to the ghost, but may not necessarily belong to them) and drain their life energy. The ghost can become free and human again if the haunting goes long enough and they kill the human who picked the cursed object in the end during a very specific time that doesn't occur too often (proverbial blue moon, idk). If they don't kill the human and decide to let them go, then the ghost will seize to exist and the human will regain their strength. (An alternative option to the ghost dying for a less angsty au: the ghost voluntarily takes back the cursed object and returns to the place where they died, but then they will never be able to haunt anyone ever again. The effect of the curse on the haunted remain, but much weaker).
In this case, let's say Kaveh and Alhaitham stay by each other's side from half a year to a year, idk. They grow closer, eventually becoming friends and maybe more (the usual kavetham shenanigans Kaveh falls first but Alhaitham falls harder). Alhaitham's mental state gradually improves, yet overall he becomes weaker because of the curse (to the point that it becomes a serious concern), which Kaveh blames himself for. The appointed time approaches (both Kaveh and Alhaitham are in on the details of the curse), and Kaveh, seeing it as an opportunity to set Alhaitham free, manages to separate himself from Alhaitham. Kaveh is ready to return to the sea/merge with it (ah yes the classic Little Mermaid influence does anybody feel it lol). However, Alhaitham sees through his plan and arrives just in time to stop him. They have a confrontation. Eventually, they manage to lift the curse (as you can see I have not figured out exactly how this can happen but! it definitely can!) with Kaveh becoming human again and Alhaitham regaining his health. The two continue to live together happily ever after.
The other scenario is practically the same, but it's more ghothic? and abstract (and probably more suitable for the og pairing it was made for, but i'll throw it in anyways). I have not engaged with gothic literature much and thus don't have much experience in how it works/how to write it, but the idea is that Kaveh is more of a projection of Alhaitham's grief than a ghost fo a drowned person (in other words, he's definitely a ghost, but his presence is also much more symbolical). The story follows quite similar beats, except the setting of the curse is a bit different: it's more of a "kill first or be killed" thingy with a deadline. Kaveh earnestly tries to drown Alhaitham at first through various means, but the more time they spend together, the more Kaveh sees of Alhaitham's life and pain and feels sympathetic for him. Despite the curse, Kaveh tires to help Alhaitham in various ways; and it works! Alhaitham gradually begins to feel better; the two grow closer to each other (more in a platonic way).
So now the precedent is that though Alhaitham's overall doing better, the curse still preys on him, hindering his life in various ways that become more and more serious/dangerous (the curse's deadline approaches, and it tries to survive the best way it can through Kaveh's influence on Alhaitham). Eventually, Kaveh lets Alhaitham go, merging with the sea (once again, yes, it was partially inspired by the Little Mermaid). Alhaitham realizes what happened and tries to look for Kaveh, but it is in vain.
Eventually, life goes on.
Bonus Elden Ring AU (because guess who suddenly went on a lore video watching spree): Kaveh is a craftsman and one of the inhabitants of Castle Morne who managed to escape before it was overrun by Misbegotten. He's a follower of St. Trina and Miquella (he doesn't follow Miquella at first, but slowly he comes to suspect that the two are one and the same). After escaping from Castle Morne, he finds his way to Jarburg, where he is welcomed to stay and be the new Potentate.
Alhaitham is from a distant branch of Carian royal family and a scholar at the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Quite possibly explored an area of studies similar to Sellen's. Eventually he separates himself from both Academy and his family, becoming a wandering scholar.
The two meet somewhere nearby Jarburg when Kaveh gets ambushed by the same people who were trying to get to Alhaitham. The two fight them off. Kaveh, trying to help injured Alhaitham, leads him to Jarburg. The two continue living together there ever since (not without hiccups, but they're doing their best).
TLDR: this one is short and very simple because I just started diving into the Elden Ring's lore, but I just. Really wanted to make some AU for them. I also desperately wanted it to be peaceful and happy one despite it being a seeming impossibility for anything dark souls/elden ring related, but one can dream. If I were to make this one darker I'd probably expand on the duality of their two characters here, and how Alhaitham probably used to conjure spells on humans (with gaining knowledge being his sole life purpose for a long time) and has challenges with comprehending the world outside of a framework of pure logic, and how Kaveh gets an increasing tendency of escaping to the dream world/wherever Miquella is in order to alleviate his mental turmoil (maybe he witnessed too much during his escape from the Castle), and how the two have opposing perspectives on the idea of worshipping gods, and- like, there's a lot that can be done. But I also just really really really want them to simply be happy together in a jar village, leading a peaceful life.
That's it for now! Thank you for reading all of this, I can't commend your patience enough if you got to the end of this list!!!â¨đâ¨
Maybe in the future I will unpack some of these aus. who knows.
#if you made it till the end you're officially a hero#sorry for so many words lol#genshin impact#afinna explores teyvat#genshin impact kaveh#genshin impact alhaitham#kavetham#haikaveh#alhaitham x kaveh#genshin impact writing#genshin impact writing ideas#magical birds au my beloved (can you tell lol)#maybe one day#one day i might write it#i was sure i'd never write the inquisitioner x witch kavetham AU but guess what#istg the first chapter should be ready sometime this year. probably. i hope. i dream of it...#pacific rim au is also something i just cradle gently in my hands. weird apocalyptic-esque setting but make it more a piece of life thing#in order to better unpack the relationships between people and various internal turmoils#and the fatui au!!! i want fatui to be weird menacing coworkers that end up being weirdly decent!!! sometimes!!!#idk i just think kaveh and sandrone could be a great work duo#and just the interactions with others could be sooooo much fun#anyways hope these ideas are. decent#also lowkey i need more dori-kaveh-alhaitham shenanigans#like alhaitham is canonically banned from seeing dori as far as i remember [well. blacklisted from the market or something similar]#granted it's probably bc he's with the Akademiya but like. Are We Sure [glances at Kaveh's debt]#anyways i just think there can be some exploration done here lol#also a hot take probably but. we need more 'Dori the Scary Businesswoman that Seems Inhumane But is Actually Wise'#like I want her to push others to their limits for mutual/personal gain BUT doing so knowing exactly when to stop and not cross the line#she is The Monkey's Paw for people who come to her. anyways i just find her interesting#yay that's it thanks for reading all of it have a great day byeeeeeeeeeeeee!
