Finished the updated design for my species the "Kevnikoll".
I'm much happier with this revision! The Kevni are an open species, so feel free to make OCs and all that! I'm still working on the world lore, but feel free to ask me questions about the species and world!

Water Moles!
So Water Moles are an old original species I used to do a lot with back in the day, and I missed these dudes so much, so I decided to revamp their species and give them an updated sheet.
Mostly, I really wanted to make this for my own use with my spouse too, lol~

A hopefully helpful guide to the major differences between my lycanthropes
Things I didn’t mention or clarify:
Rougarous are created through curses. A witch will either curse a young woman or herself with lycanthropy which cannot be cured, and from then on every girl born into the cursed woman’s family will also be a rougarou while males will be human. However, if the rougarou has a werewolf partner (like Hans’ parents), all female children will be born rougarous and males will be born hybrids. On the contrary, if a werewolf has a child with a human, their children will be born human and can only become werewolves through transmission (bite or scratch).
Rougarous are much smaller than werewolves due to the fact that their condition is genetic, so their bodies don’t grow much larger than their “human” form. Since werewolves become lycanthropes through transmission, their condition acts more like a mutation or disease, causing their body to distort strangely. Because of this, their bodies are a lot huskier and don’t have as much fur as a rougarou.
Hybrids like Hans do not have control over their beast form on full moons when they are born. They can either succumb to madness and never retain their consciousness on full moons, or they can train their minds at a young age to avoid losing their sense of self. His sisters, however, have full control over their minds on full moons. Hybrids also do not grow much larger than their “human” bodies when in beast form.
The BIGGEST difference I mention in the comic but not in the guide is that rougarous can turn not only into their beast form at will (outside of a full moon), but can transform into a true wolf as well. By this, I mean they just look like a really big wolf (think: the wolves from Twilight).

Note
are all the white haired ocs a species? Or are they related in some way?
I'm so glad you asked! They're a subspecies of superhuman called shifters. I need to update their species sheet but in short they're just people with white hair and horns who can turn into animals, objects, other people, etc.
About 30%ish of them have digitigrade hooves instead of a normal leg shape. The two mains in the story who have this feature are Nyo and Ahro.

Puffballs!
Hello everyone! After a long absence, I've been working hard on a slides presentation regarding the puffball species in the world of Technician Uprising! These are created based on my own headcanons but also using information compiled by the community at NIWA.
You can now use this guide to make your own OCs for the AU, btw <3
I hope you guys can enjoy the content! There's also a spreadsheet for copy abilities that you can access down below:
I'll let you guys know if anything gets updated, so stay tuned! For now, I'll try to draw the copy ability stars for those that went, uhm, missing.
But Learner, how about the fanfic? Glad you asked! I'm still trying to find some motivation to continue it, but for now I decided to focus a bit on worldbuilding. Hoooooo boy.

The Different Species
Tumblr media
Demons
Demons are creatures from the realms of Hell that are looked as the best helpers for a Witch. They willingly take the deals to become animal-like familiars in order to appreciate the earthly world in anyway they can. Depending on their animal shape, they can aid their Witch in the ways the creature can, with flight and agility and hunting.
They take animalistic forms that can only sometimes be brought into a more humanoid form if their bond with their master and magic is strong enough.
However if the relationship with the Witch suffers, their bond does to, as does the magic they provide to their master. If it falls anymore, it shall vanish altogether and the familiar disappears.
Demons are able to use Dark magic but only outside of their animal form. Their energy goes to boosting their Witch's abilities while within their animal form.
Tumblr media
Human
Humans are the base foundation for every single Creature within the world. Witches are the closest the human out of the lot, but they are born with a strange mutation in their blood, which contains the energy which is used to harness control of their magic.
While Witches are the creature that look closest to a humanoid, their abilities show they are clearly not. It's similar to how a Possum is different, depending on the region of the world they are in.
Every other creature is linked to Humans, as they are the stepping stone to that form. They are also the species that heavily populate the world and remain the dominate species.
The Humanis the only species without access to magic.
Tumblr media
Reapers
While not much is known of these creatures, they are often likened to Ghosts, except that these are employed.
They are invisible beings that collect the souls of the dead. Not many have been able to find out more about them, as they remain enigmatic.
Tumblr media
Vampire
Vampires are undead who come from a long lineage dating back to a failed necromancy experiment by a Grey Witch. Since then, it has become a matter of the cursed blood of the vampire infecting the normal blood at an alarming rate, to fully take over the body. The blood is thickened and too condensed for the heart valves to properly push through and it settles into the organs. From there, it infects the rest of the body, and the craving for fresh blood, to refresh the organs, begins.
Hence why they wield Blood magic but are the rare creature who doesn't have to spill their blood to be able to use it. Vampires dabble in Blood Magic, but it mainly sustains their cursed bloodline and boosts their Vampiric Abilities.
Tumblr media
Werewolf
They are the rare creature that can shapeshift, as well has gain their own powers through their blood, similar to vampires. Except, on using it to affect the outside world, it affects their own body. Strength, speed, senses, and not to mention their wolf form are all due to Blood Magic.
Their lineage is obscured from centuries of undocumented history, but it is belived that they were born of a union between a Demon-Familiar and a Blood Witch.
It is also why they can inflict their lycanthropy on others through biting Humans, spreading their transmuted blood as the inside of their maws are constantly covered in the substance.
Tumblr media
Witch
Witches are humanoids who are able to trans mutate energy into magic to affect the outer world instead of using the energy on themselves like werewolves do.
Witches can use magic. The vitality in their blood helps them influence the energies of life. All Witches can safely use this vitality, except for those who use Blood Magic, where they willingly release their blood to influence their magic. It usually goes hand in hand with things such as rituals, but also Blood Manipulation. The other Witches are free to also open a vein, but this makes their magic unpredictable. Cut your thumb just to create a slightly bigger fire, and there might be an explosion instead. It needs precision.
It's also why Witch's blood is sought after by those who wish to become more powerful. Both Witch Hunters and other Supernatural Creatures, such as the Werewolfand the Vampire will have use of it, so to gain power. Witch's blood is basically an accelerant reagent.

The imps are a species of bipedal insect-like humanoids that reside in Ulternia. They are very intelligent beings and are capable of spoken and written language. Below are several diagrams showcasing their anatomy.
Tumblr media
The imps have a wide variety of details, colors and patterns. Not every detail is shown here, these are just some examples.

Species Guide: The Whistling Skies Anatomy
Tumblr media
Birds of Prey + Domestic feline hybrid.
The second smallest Felis of the Dale.
Live on the mountains, where they feed on larger prey such as mountain goats, deer and boars, hunting on groups.
Wings only allow for half an hour of flight before they need to rest.
Entirely covered in feathers along their neck and legs, gifting better aerodynamics during flight.
Normally tufted ears; Tail replaced instead by feathers.
Usually have extremely short fur, as their feathers already shelter them from the extreme cold of the mountains.
Talons as their back paws, allowing them to grab their prey and attack easily.
Felis across the Whistling Skies have multiple variations depending on the bird they are based on.
Powerful limbs and claws, which they use to grip on harsh surfaces.
Often have dull grey, white, or brown colours, with blue and green to match their environment.
Above: Tame Branch, Seeker of the Whistling Skies.
