Our goal was to design special costumes/sygna suits for official pokémon characters and make them strike a pose (with their partner pokémon)! At the end we got 58 fabulous & unique designs!!

Shirabe Meshi chapter 24, first half

It starts out at Ils-Bale, where Millaarc has been working as a waitress. The restaurant in question has a special deal today where gyaru get a discount

As it shows the crowd, we see a familiar group with a member that speaks in a very specific mann---okay yeah it's exactly who you think it is

Shirabe, Kirika, and Serena are there undercover to bust a former member of the Illuminati who's been selling Alca-Noise summoning crystals to people and the place the transaction is taking place is supposedly the restaurant

So SONG set up a plan with the restaurant to narrow down who's taking part in it

Basically the idea is that anyone not dressed the part could be the suspect(s)

Serena is there because uh...Maria couldn't be. You know, since she would've been recognized for sure. Don't ask why they opted for Serena when she doesn't have a Gear in this version of events unless she borrowed Airgetlam back from Maria or something. Silly comedic spinoff is silly

They discuss ordering something while they're there but Shirabe realizes they're talking too normally and maybe they should use more gyaru slang so they don't stand out, but it's beyond them (Serena and Kirika liken it to some sort of code)

A voice from behind says "These little pipsqueaks from a private girls' academy don't have enough knowledge of gyaru" and then recommends the boba ice cream

Yeah, Cagliostro is there too

Meanwhile, the restaurant staff is absolutely overwhelmed with the number of customers ordering. Even the manager is stepping in and waiting tables

Ogawa is also there undercover

He doesn't spot anyone suspicious among the costumers so far though. Genjuro starts talking to Ogawa over his earpiece saying that they apprehended an alchemist near the airport.

However the alchemist didn't have any summoning crystals on him so that means someone out there still has them. Cagliostro wonders if the alchemist that was supposedly in the restaurant is blending in like them

And with that it suddenly hits Serena that the suspect could've changed their appearance using alchemy, of course they could've blended in. But also the easiest way to sneak something to someone in a restaurant as part of a transaction would be with the food as part of the wait staff

It dawns on Millaarc that the manager who always just bosses people around was actually pitching in with waiting tables today

He suddenly bolts out the door and what looks like summoning crystals fall out of his pocket

The girls start to give chase and that's the end of the first half

Rules: List 10 comfort shows and then tag 10 people

I was tagged by the lovely @morganathewitch to list my go to comfort shows, but since I don't watch a lot of shows, I'm gonna include movies mainly! I will include either stills from each movie and/or a song from the ost.

1. Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette:

This is easily one of my favorite movies and it's the first thing that comes to my mind if someone asks what my all time favourite movie is. It is visually stunning, the soundtrack is perfection, and Kristen Dunst did an incredible job portraying the young Marie Antoinette!

2. Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes:

This one is a great watch during autumn. Robert Downey Jr, to me, is Sherlock. The soundtrack is also excellent.

3. The Color of Pomegranates (aka Sayat Nova) dir. Sergueï Paradjanov:

How can I not include this visually stunning film?? It tells the life of the medieval Armenian poet Sayat Nova. Paradjanov uses visual means to convey the story which makes it feel like a poem is being painted (if this makes any sense!) I recommend checking this video before or after watching the film.

4. Amelie (or Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain):

This speaks to my inner hopeless romantic. I don't relate to it as strongly as I used to, but it's still a solid and gorgeous film. The story telling is quirky, but in a good and comfy way.

5. One Piece (the Netflix Live Action):

The second I watched half of episode 1, I fell in love with this show. As someone who loves the anime, I was anxious about this version being silly or even, pardon the term, cringey. However, it's like seeing the source material for the first time. The cast, story, costumes, the soundtrack, etc is perfect and it'll always be a definite comfort watch for me.

6. Faust (1926):

I've been watching silent movies a lot this year, and though I enjoyed plenty, this one stands out to me particularly. Despite being made in the 20s, the production is spot on. The visuals and special effects are incredible and it's also a perfect autumn watch!

7. Only Lovers Left Alive:

I adore this movie. I mean 2 vampires who are passionate about music and literature... sign me up! Obviously, there's more to it, but I recommend watching with no clue about it if you're into vampires!

8. The Hunchback of Notre Dame:

I had to include a Disney movie here and this is easily my all time favourite. After reading the novel by Hugo, I have a newly found appreciation for the Disney version.

9. Fantasia (1940):

As a visual person, this one speaks to my soul. It's, not only, the reason why I started appreciating classical music, but I also get inspired by the animation for my watercolor paintings.

10. Peau d'âne:

Last but not least, I've decided to revisit this gem from my childhood, and it still stands the test of time in my humble opinion. It's whimsical and simply camp; I'm actually surprised that no one on the met gala didn't take inspiration from it!

Okay, after @megazardx2 questioned my stance of “next month has to be in lodge or new since Irida,” I had to review the lodge picks thus far.

October was Raihan.  He did not receive an alt, but bypassed Wally, Victor, Melony, Gordie, Iris (!), and Allister.  There was at least association with Galar.

November was Elesa.  She did not receive an alt, but bypassed Hilbert, Hilda (!), Colress, and Hugh.

December was Serena.  Her Champion alt debuted.

January was Dawn.  Her New Years alt debuted.

February was Morty.  He did not receive an alt, and nothing to do with Johto came out then, bypassing, somehow, Lysandre, Anabel, Emma, and Mallow.

March was Gloria.  She did not receive an alt that month, but it was Galar focused, passing Bede, Hop, and Ball Guy.

April was Steven.  Special Costume alt association.

May was Acerola.  Sygna Suit association.

June is Adaman.  New Master Fair association.

July will be Irida, which still overlaps with her new introduction, but 4/9 of the months were a random decision with no association.  The bad news is, this means I might be wrong about something for the first time in my life.  The good news is this opens the possibility of other options, like maybe we’ll get Summer Wally and Lisia with Jirachi and Meloetta.  Or I’ll actually get a Caitlin alt.

Connor's Costume: Captain and Mermaid with Serena

Connor will be going as a ship captain with Serena @vcndetta as his mermaid. He and Serena came up with the idea at the beginning of the month and she helped him find his costume at the Halloween shop. He's excited to spend the night dressing up and celebrating with her.

does your muse celebrate halloween at all?

Usually Connor doesn't really, he just works. But this year with Serena's help he decorated and got into the spirit with her.

if they do, what’s favorite halloween memory?

He doesn't really have one.

what was their worst halloween memory? is it now a funny childhood memory, something ridiculous after being at a bar, or something more traumatic?

He's seen some pretty grizzly crimes happen on Halloween, some unfortunately graphic murders. So probably an accumulation of those.

will they be dressing up? 

Yes, this year he will!

how much thought do they put into their costumes? are they a ‘i spent weeks putting together something custom’ or a ‘this is what they had at the store’ type person?

Not too much, really it was mostly Serena helping him.

do they like group costumes or prefer to go alone?

He's only really doing it because it's a couple's costume, to be honest.

are they going trick or treating? do they prefer to stay home and hand out candy? or are they the ones playing the tricks all night?

I imagine Connor will go out for the night with Serena.

how do they celebrate? are they a bar hopping, clubbing kind of ghoul? throwing or attending a costume party? or do they enjoy sitting at home and watching their favorite movies instead? 

I can see Connor and Serena bar hopping or hitting up a costume party for sure.

will they be joined by any special ghouls or gals on this endeavor? or spending the night with just the skeletons in their closets?

With Serena, of course.

and of course, favorite halloween candy? and why is it candy corn?

Connor doesn't really care for sweets, but he doesn't mind candy corn.

Tim Gets Dum Dumed

NOTE:

This is another dum dum were-aykroyd story, this is basically in the same universe as the previous installments in the saga known as the ‘dum dum’ were-aykroyd saga only this one revolves around Tim Burton (the famous director) becoming one. And of course this delves into were-aykroyd lore and explains how master and were-aykroyd relationships work in this story, to understand the lore of the universe of this story I suggest you check out the following stories in the following order which are as follows:

Warning, this story does contain mentioning of eating a lot of food and growing as well as genderbending and some gross out elements, if you don’t find this to be your kind of story there are more ones for you to enjoy that aren’t like this.

In a previous adventure everyone’s favorite duo worked on a plan to stop the spread of dum dum were-aykroyds and they were figuring out what exactly the spirit had in mind and what the ‘master’ wanted, now they had a pretty good grasp on what he wanted but several things were left unanswered. These were very burning questions in their heads, and Corey wanted to know what the master was up to and who and what exactly the master was, the master clearly had some kind of power over were-aykroyds, particularly ones of the dum dum variety, but nobody knew what the master was, all they knew he was male and had power over dum dum were-aykroyds.

“So what do you think this means?”

“Yes, what does the master want?”

“This master is clearly a were-aykroyd himself.”

Corey, Oats and Mel along with the microbe gang and Serena’s Burtonian gang were very much all working together on this when they looked up on a website all about dum dum were-aykroyds and were-aykroyd lore in general. The covid microbe had saved all the data he could find on the subject and found some interesting artifacts, Oats was still a bit curious about part of it. ‘So what do you think this master does and what exactly is he?’ ‘He is obviously a were-aykroyd who uses his powers to condition Nathan into being a were-aykroyd.’

‘Anything else?’ ‘Well he has an outfit collection that is most unusual.’ Oats added, going over what he had seen, looking all over the were-aykroyd website for any answers to the questions he had, pointing out all the

He remembered the ‘master’ having an eclectic collection of outfits including what appeared to be a kimono, an alien looking robe, a special fat suit, a special costume to help increase were-aykroyd powers and an elaborate dress that was rather ornate. ‘What would he want with the dress though, is this were-aykroyd master a crossdresser? Or does he want a special woman to be a female were-aykroyd?’ ‘I think we know the answer by now, he wants a were-aykroyd dum dum wife.’

Mel looked over…’Oh no, don’t look at me, I have a boyfriend.’ ‘I think that’s meant for Nathan.’ ‘But how can a male become a female were-aykroyd?’ ‘The website said something about a ritual.’ ‘A ritual?’ Corey nodded, explaining what was going on to Tim and Serena, explaining how were-aykroyds in this universe work.

‘So people can be turned into female were-aykroyds too?’ ‘According to the lore, yes.’ ‘Is there a way or method to willingly become a dum dum were-aykroyd without losing your mind?’ ‘Are you crazy?’ ‘Sometimes, yes but that’s not the point. I want to become a dum dum so I can help Serena.’

‘Being a dum dum is quite a complicated procedure, dum dum were-aykroyds aren’t typical were-aykroyds.’ ‘I know, they’re ridiculous dum dum silly billies who eat a lot and they have a tendency to be flatulent.’ ‘Exactly, but what if I could be one without losing my intelligence?’ ‘Well yes, sometimes eating a dum dum cookie but not too many of them can turn someone into a dum dum or give them the attributes of a dum dum.’

“So what if we put the essence of those cookies into a potion?”

“What are you getting at, Tim?”

“What if I could become a dum dum were-aykroyd with a potion?”

“Tim, think about this for a bit please. These are dangerous were-aykroyds. Are you sure you want to join them?”

Oats didn’t understand why Tim would want to become a dum dum, he shook his head. ‘But why would you want this? You’re an accomplished movie director, Tim. You’ve directed some of our favorite movies, why would you want to become a fat dum dum were-aykroyd?’ ‘Maybe it would just be funny plus I would not likely turn out like those other dum dums.’

Corey looked over and shrugged…’Okay, we can do this. But promise you won’t become an idiot.’ ‘You have my word.’ Oats got out some dum dum were-aykroyd cookies and put it into an essence transformation potion and gave it to Tim.

“Tim, I trust you with this potion.”

“Do you promise not to become an idiot when we give it to you?”

“Absolutely.”

Tim picked up the potion and drank from it and as he did a supernatural sensation slowly crept into his body, as brown hairs slowly grew on his hands which were enlarging as his fingers thickened and his arms slowly grew hands on them in the process, his skin slowly matured as his arms broadened, his whole body gained a large amount of fat including on his chest and torso which were sprouting brown hairs on them as well.

His rear plumped up as did his stomach but luckily his clothes did not rip as his back and shoulders broadened and he grew to 6’1, his neckline altered a bit while his hair turned from black to brown, becoming a bit messier as his forehead and brow changed, his eyebrows thickening and arching as his forehead elevated. His face became a bit chubbier in appearance as his nose shifted, enlarging and developing a cleft in the middle while his lips became kissable, his features shifting to look Aykroydian as his voice deepened, he looked and sounded like a dum dum but he was still intelligent as his transformation completed. ‘I’m thinking that we could use this to figure out what the master wants with Nathan.’ ‘Exactly, we can have Tim as a dum dum to investigate what is going on.’

“Great. Now we have to figure out how to get to the master’s home.”

“We’ve got magic.”

“You have got a point, Oats.”

The duo used a special spell to transport themselves and the Burtoninian gang and Mel into the domain of the ‘master’ and the were-aykroyd spirit, Oats looked around as he saw the interior of the ‘master’s abode, for a dum dum were-aykroyd, the master sure lived an extravagant life, he had an aura of royalty to him as indicated with his elaborate choice in architecture, and the fact that it resembled a palace.

Corey investigated the dining hall which had all sorts of delicious foods being eaten at a table by a group of flatulent were-aykroyd dum dums whose farts gave off a potent smell, he held his nose as he walked over to go to investigate further with help from Oats. Serena laughed at Tim’s silly antics as a dum dum were-aykroyd as Tim darted around the room, investigating what was going on also.

Tim managed to go into what appeared to be an extravagant conference room of sorts and that is where he saw a throne, and what appeared to be artwork depicting this species of were-aykroyds, depicting the dum dums as servants to the masters, but there were depictions of the master himself. The master appealed to be an ageless were-aykroyd master who was around 6’2 and was slightly bigger and rounder than Nathan was in were-aykroyd form, he was dressed in an elegant and ornate fashion.

For a slovenly were-aykroyd, the master sure knew how to live and dress, he knew how to flaunt his talents and his natural charm, no wonder why they called him that. Corey saw a couple of dum dum were-aykroyd statues including one of a dum dum were-aykroyd female with long hair, he looked over at the statue, seeing the likeness to the ‘dum dum queen’ from the Were-Aykroyd b-movie ‘Birth of the Dum Dum Queen’ which was about a feminine plus sized were-aykroyd who was part of a plan to start a were-aykroyd uprising in the city, he remembered watching the movie and thinking of it as cheesy and ridiculous yet he didn’t know it was based on a real sculpture or even a real piece of were-aykroyd lore.

‘Wait? That silly movie that Dan the Were-Aykroyd saw on the Sy-Fy channel is based on something that actually happened?’ ‘Well, not exactly something that actually happened but a piece of real were-aykroyd lore, you see…it is obvious that the master wants a queen and rather than taking some human female who is female by birth and making them into a dum dum wife, he has chosen a male human to make into a dum dum wife.’ ‘How is that even possible though?’ ‘It is not entirely explained how this even works.’ ‘But it is a rather interesting piece of lore.’

Mel looked around before investigating the art gallery which consisted of artwork depicting the dum dums and also she saw the collection of costumes including the costumes that were designed for the female were-aykroyds. She saw the portrait of all the dum dums and then she saw all the books on were-aykroyds, and these books were very alarming to her. ‘How to Keep Your Transforming Were-Aykroyd Pet/Were-Aykroyd Wife In Line? A Dum Dum’s Guide To Being A Proper Were-Aykroyd?’ ‘Yes a lot of these books seem dubious to me.’ ‘Very much so, it sounds like he wants to control Nathan and turn him.’ ‘Exactly, he wants Nathan to be the dum dum wife.’

“That sounds horrible!”

“Oh yes, the ultimate in horrible behavior.”

“Indeed so, how dare he do such a thing to our friend!”

Tim Burton nodded, he was in total agreement with the duo about the master’s actions, he knew the master probably did mean well but he thought the master was being needlessly cruel to Nathan by forcing this fate upon him. ‘If he is forcing this fate on your friends, he is a horrible person and a terrible master.’ ‘Yes, he’s trying to brainwash our friend into being something he isn’t.’ ‘He is very controlling in that way.’ ‘And look at this.’

Oats pointed to what appeared to be a section in one of the books regarding punishments. ‘A punishment where a disobedient were-aykroyd is put in a room where he or she is forced to feed non-stop? A punishment where he or she is given a weird mind control collar that makes him or her act like a dum dum?’ ‘Yes, these punishments do indeed sound cruel.’ ‘Do you think he’s doing this to them to make them more accepting of his conditions?’ ‘Oh I definitely think so.’ ‘He definitely sounds like the type to do that.’

“We have to stop him.”

“But how? He is a powerful were-aykroyd who can put people under his control.”

“Oats, we’re both immune to were-aykroydification, we can’t be transformed.”

“You have a point there my microbial friend.”

The duo and Mel along with Tim Burton used some magic to distract some were-aykroyd dum dum guards with food before running through the throne room and into the chambers of the master himself, and that is where they saw the master’s throne and his transformation items along with a portrait of the master. The master was definitely a powerful Were-Aykroyd and gave off that kind of aura.

Mel made her way towards where he is, and that is where she saw Nathan…Nathan had been taken by the master himself and was trying to find a way out of his domain. ‘Nathan! Thank goodness you’re okay!’ ‘I’m alright, thanks for coming.’ ‘No problem, we had to work on a way to find out where you were.’ ‘I was here, I was transported from my apartment in this universe to the master’s home!’ ‘What did the master do to you though?’ ‘The master has not done anything to me, yet. I was just pretending to be a dum dum to fool him. He obviously fell for it and now I am working on trying to escape.’

“Well you’ve got us to help you so we can help you get out.”

“Yes, come on, let’s go.”

Oats whinnied as he galloped through the hallways before grabbing some items from the chambers and he spotted the master sleeping. ‘It’s a good thing he’s asleep, because if he wasn’t, we’d likely be in trouble.’ ‘Don’t you worry, that dum dum isn’t going to see a thing or hear a thing for that matter either.’

The duo raced down the hallways with the Burtonianian gang and Serena, while Tim Burton used his dum dum were-aykroyd powers to do battle with some of the dum dum guards that were still around, he was able to clear them all out with no problems whatsoever as they all navigated through the master’s abode as they made their way over to where Nathan had been transported to prior, which was some kind of private transformation chamber. The chamber was decked out in gold and featured the dum dum were-aykroyd royal coat of arms on the war as well as various items needed for a ritual. ‘Do you think all these ritual things are needed to make the transition from human to mindless dum dum were-aykroyds more potent?’ ‘Probably, knowing how powerful and controlling this master is he must want a full on mindless dum dum to serve him at all times.’ ‘Like a master and slave ordeal?’ ‘Well, kind of except it’s more like a a husband and wife.’

“I still find it strange and even a little bit bizarre that Nathan is the one who has been picked.”

“I know but it is were-aykroyd lore and who are we to argue with lore about such an interesting species?”

“I guess you’re right.”

Corey and Oats darted around, avoiding the dum dum were-aykroyd soldiers with grace and ease as Oats used his ballet dance skills to swiftly make his way through the guarded potion room, grabbing some potions and spellbooks along with some manuals, he whinnied as he imagined himself as a fairy princess floating around the hallway, Corey shot some spikes in the direction of one dum dum were-aykroyd guard before making his way through the hallways and back to the entrance of the palace.

Nathan followed them, making sure not to let the master know he was leaving, he could hear the master’s hideous snores coming from the sleeping chamber and he knew he was going to have a bit of a challenging time navigating but eventually he was able to work it out as was Tim Burton, he made his way towards the entrance and headed for the door and he was about to escape, he opened the door and made a run for it only to be greeted with the master’s yawns a couple of minutes later as the master awoke. ‘Where is my dum dum? Where is my lovely soon to be dum dum queen?’ ‘Uh oh, come on guys, we’ve got to bail!’ ‘Right behind you.’

The group all ran out through the entrance and exited the palace along with Nathan as the master sniffed the air, trying to find his soon to be dum dum wife. ‘Oh come on now my sweet dum dum! Do not attempt to hide from me!’ ‘Come on guys, I think I can hear him!’ ‘Oh now, he’s awake!’ ‘But luckily we can make it out without him getting us, right?’ ‘Yes, let’s go, come on, let’s go.’ ‘Right, we must keep going.’

‘Where is my dum dum? Oh my lovely dum dum, my lovely female dum dum were-aykroyd, where are you?’ The master sniffed around as he searched for Nathan, the guards were distracted and also knocked out so they couldn’t help. He growled as he sniffed around, looking all over to find his so called ‘lovely dum dum wife’, Nathan had since made his escape with the rest of the group and at this point, he was glad to have gotten away. ‘I will not be made a fool of, I will find you!’

He let out a piercing roar as the doors of the palace closed, Nathan and the others had gone completely by now and were about to head home. ‘So now we know what the plot of this fat dum dum were-aykroyd master is, we have a good idea on how to stop him, right?’ ‘Yes. We must keep Nathan safe here with us, and make sure his dum dum minions do not find us.’ ‘We must take him to our home immediately.’ ‘Yes, when he is there we will make sure he is safe and he cannot be corrupted.’

Nathan smiled as all of them left the master’s palace behind, while the master fumed in anger because his plan had been founded out, but he knew Nathan was likely to turn up again, he wanted to have his dum dum wife even if it meant trying to get to his friends in order to do so, the duo and Mel used magic to use a portal spell to transport them back to their home and headquarters in this universe’s version of Nile Road. Oats galloped over into the lounge and that is when he began to work on his plan, Corey assisted him and the group also worked on keeping the dum dums from coming to Nile Road.

Mel looked over in the window and she saw the spirit of the dum dum were-aykroyd lurking and waiting, the spirit looked like he wanted Nathan, wanted to take over him, wanted to corrupt him, wanted to alter him into the perfect carrier for the plague, the plague was coming through in full force and it was going to a lot of combined efforts. The spirit looked through the window and he sneered…’Oh you may be able to hide from me, Nathan. But eventually you will come to me and you will be a host for my power. Join the dum dum side.’ ‘Is that spirit still here, mommy?’

“Yes, sorry about that.”

“I hope we can do something about him.”

“We will in due time.”

The duo along with the Burtonian gang worked in the lab in Nile Road to deal with the dum dum spirit’s forces and the dumification of this world, they knew the dum dums would likely turn up again but luckily they knew Carmela, Andrea, Maria, Belinda and Jana were on patrol to make sure everything would be safe. Nathan was kept safely in their room and they made sure to keep him from being easily taken over by the dum dums.

Meanwhile back in the were-aykroyd master’s case, the master was still sniffing around for his perfect dum dum wife and he would stop at nothing to get ‘her’ back, even if it meant using the powers of the spirit to do so, he used a spell to summon the spirit again and the spirit gave him a mean to do so. ‘Let’s see my dum dum wife escape this.’ ‘Yes, she will be unable to get away from this next phase in the plan.’

It had no longer become just Vic Frohmeyer and the dark were-aykroyds after Nathan in this universe but rather them, the spirit and the master. The master had a plan to get his beloved dum dum wife and he was going to see it through no matter what, and even if it meant taking Nathan back to the palace in some way, he knew he would probably get to this. ‘But what of that microbe and horse?’ ‘Oh they know our plans now, it will be difficult to keep up with them.’ ‘We can always dummify them too.’ ‘But they are immune to our corruptive influence, they cannot be transformed.’ ‘That is true but we must keep an eye on them.’ The spirit’s eyes glowed as he worked on the next phase of the plan.

Luckily at Nile Road, Corey and Oats along with Aiyvan the monster, Mel and Aiyido the beholder and the two anglerfish were keeping Nathan safe and sound. ‘As long as we stick together there is no way the dum dum can get us or get you for that matter.’ ‘Yes, that disgusting dum dum were-aykroyd spirit and master may be able to scheme all their want but they will never be able to hunt you down here.’

“I’m glad for that, guys.”

“Don’t forget, you have a loyal talking horse.”

“And a deadly and reliable covid microbe.”

“And a one eyed monster friend.”

“And a beholder with eleven magnificent eyes.”

“And an anglerfish duo.”

“Exactly.”

‘And you’ve also got me.’ Mel added. ‘As your friend I am willing to help you so you have little to nothing to worry about, dum dum were-aykroyds aren’t very fast so I can easily outrun them and fight them if I have to. Plus they won’t be able to transform me.’ ‘I hope you can, Mel, because those guys are relentless.’ ‘Relentless? Ha, there is not a single villain I have dealt with who I cannot be handled or dealt with…I have always got my magic. I will always get the better of them.’ ‘Oh yes, you’re a magic koala-girl after all.’ ‘I’ve dealt with sheep drones, i’ve dealt with tiger dancers that brainwash others into being tiger dancers, i’ve dealt with clowns that think they should be a species, i’ve dealt with morbidly obese anime fanboy nerd mutants, i’ve dealt with internet trolls, and i’ve dealt with were-aykroyds before.’

“Oh yeah, you have.”

“Leave it up to me.”

“I trust you Mel.”

“We all trust you, Mel.”

Mel smiled as she hugged everyone and she began to work on her plan to keep Nile Road safe from the dum dums along with the duo and everyone else, the dum dum were-aykroyds were waiting outside but our two heroes Corey and Oats were not afraid of them, and neither was the Burtonian gang, Aivyan the monster kept an eye on everything as he watched, spying on the dum dums through the window and using a portal in his closet, those dum dums would likely never be let in at this point.

The second part of their plan had begun and they were finished working on it in an hour, and an hour later they decided to use some magic to keep the dum dums away, while the spirit lurked and waited for them to come out. ‘They have to come out sometime. And when they do, Nathan will be OURS, all ours.’ ‘Excellent.’ replied the were-aykroyd master. ‘I cannot wait to have a dum dum wife to obey me and do as I command and she’ll be so fat and deliciously silly she will love me for all eternity.’

Rare and Unique Watch Finds At MET Gala 2024 Which Nailed The Theme “The Garden of Time”

When Alia Bhatt sashayed down the MET Gala Red Carpet in a floral creation created by ace Indian designer Sabyasachi, which gracefully depicted the theme The Garden Of Time it surely grabbed eyeballs. However, it was watches that were the true showstoppers at this year’s Gala. With a theme that lends itself so completely to the world of watches has been chosen for the official dress code, is it any surprise that the watches of MET Gala stole the show? Many of the attendees on the star studded guest list took the theme literally and displayed an array of beautiful watches that conformed to the set dress code.

Every year the MET Gala, also known as The Costume Institute Benefit takes place in the month of May, and is a fundraiser that benefits the museum's Costume Institute. The famed Red Carpet is a significant moment in pop culture as a slew of celebrities from all across the globe attend the event sporting their most outlandish looks and accessories. This year did not disappoint as we were treated to some of the most stunning creations that made their appearance on the carpet. Read on to see how your favourite celebrities accessorized their looks as they interpreted this year’s theme. 

Chris Hemsworth 

Chris Hemsworth channeled his inner Thor and sported a strong wrist game with this Chopard Alpine Eagle timepiece. Opting for a more refined and understated watch, Hemsworth chose the timepiece in rose gold with a diamond bezel. Known for his love for bold timepieces, this elegant watch perfectly complimented his neutral toned suit. 

Barry Keoghan 

Leaning into the theme Garden of Time, Barry Keoghan showcased not one, not two but three timepieces on the carpet, all from the brand Omega. Perhaps the most special of the trifecta is a rare 1930’s Omega Lépine “Sideros” pocket watch in the art déco style. He further accessorized his Mad Hatter style look with a De Ville Prestige in yellow gold, and a Seamaster Aqua Terra in 18K Sedna Gold and diamonds. 

Lil Nas X 

Lil Nas X went full glam with his choice of wrist candy as he sported a white gold Piaget vintage dress watch with a green malachite dial. The textured bracelet which housed the dial is a Piaget signature making it a true icon among icons. 

Usher

True to the Gala’s theme Usher adorned the extremely rare and highly coveted Jacob & Co. Billionaire III Ruby timepiece that redefines extravagance in every way. Set in 18k white gold and stunning rubies totalling 147.65 carats, the watch reportedly costs a whopping $5,00,000.

Ben Simmons

NBA forward Ben Simmons brought his A-game on the red carpet as well as he was seen flaunting a clock briefcase along with a gem-set Patek Phillipe Aquanaut Luce “Rainbow” on his wrist. The technicolored chronograph features a 39.9 mm rose-gold case, a mother-of-pearl dial engraved with the signature Aquanaut pattern, and a red strap.

Serena Williams 

Tennis Legend Serena Williams and Audemars Piguet are a classic combination. Sporting the brand new Sand Gold Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon Openworked timepiece by the watchmaker, Williams has made her love for watches from the brand pretty clear. Paired with this ultra-glamorous gold cocktail gown, she dazzles both on the field as well as the red carpet.  

Alexander Skarsgård

Succession star Alexander Skarsgård gave tech mogul vibes as he strapped on a Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium Racing Grey 42mm. This all black timepiece was a perfect match for his formal black suit that screamed quiet luxury.   

Jeff Goldblum 

The actor came decked out in Tiffany & Co. brooches, two pairs of glasses, white gloves, a smart black overcoat and more Tiffany on his wrist, with the brand’s Cocktail 2-Hand watch. The timepiece comes with a black satin strap, a bezel set with round diamonds, and a white guilloché dial. Classy and niche, he surely nailed the theme! 

Michelle Yeoh 

Michelle Yeoh once again owned the red carpet with her new Richard Mille RM 07-01. A perfect marriage between playful and sophisticated the timepiece effortlessly blends the use of ceramic, golds and bright colours. Paired with this silver foiled gown she really added a touch of elegance to her look.

-Wow, things are getting serious for Ash when it comes to the championship tournament. I just wish I felt more attached to his mons bc... I feel I don’t ‘know’ them the way we knew f. ex. his Alola and Kalos mons... Give them more screentime ok. Also, I need to give a special shoutout to Ash turning his cap bc that feels v nostalgic

(at this point I need to cut this post bc too long)

-Either way that sequence was pretty badass, looks like Ash will be using all 3: dyna/gigantamaxing, mega evo and... :’) pika’s z-move in the future (listen, I’m partial to everything Alola. No you can’t change my mind)

-Oh Koharu... why does her sequence look exactly like Serena’s in the xy openings. I’m not sure how to feel about that. May costume tho?

While I’m a bit sad that the pokeani twitter didn’t leave us a lot of surprises, it looks like there’s a lot of interesting stuff coming up and I’m definitely feeling a bit more hyped than earlier into this season. Hi! Was wondering if I could get an opinion on why you ship Pearlshipping more than Amourshipping :3

I’d grab a drink or two and sit down because this could be a long opinion lol. (Just a heads up tho, I’ve only watched a few of the XY episodes, so this is just me basing off what I’ve seen so far.) another note, I’m not trying to offend anyone here. If you feel offended by what I said, feel free to message me.

I literally grew up with Pearlshipping. I’ve pretty much watched every episode from the DP series to know that these two are a perfect match. I’m gonna point out some differences between Pearl and Amour.

Of course, the first thing I wanna bring up is the fact that these two started their journeys in almost the same way. They both had Pokemon who didn’t like them at first, protected those Pokemon from being attacked by another, saw a Legendary Pokemon, and eventually, became the best of friends with their first Pokemon. If that’s not a soulmate thing then I don’t know what is.

Out of all the girls, Dawn is the only one who shares high fives with Ash, which shows how just close they are.

What I noticed when I watched the Pokevision episode for XY is how Bonnie asked Ash to help out with Pokevision video and he replied with “But we’ve got special training to do.” And when he does end up helping, he looks like he rather be training than filming. (Again, basing off what I just saw in the episode) While with Dawn, they both make the time to train together.

Another thing is that Ash and Dawn both learn from each other. Ash learning Dawn’s spin move as well as Ice Aqua jet and Dawn learning Ash’s counter shield. (I really don’t know if Ash has learned anything from Serena and her showcases, like I said I’ve only watched a few) I also find it sweet that Ash always asked Dawn to train with him or vice versa.

Now this one is a major point that I’ve thought about for some time and it’s the fact that Ash cares about Dawn so much and he shows it. (I’m not saying he doesn’t care about Serena) Remember the time Dawn lost her first double performance? Ash had wanted to run after her but was stopped by Zoey. She lost again in Solaceon Town and he tried to comfort her but was stopped by Brock. When he found her crying, he was worried but ended up thinking she had something in her eye. When she got separated from the group, he worried about her the whole time. When he found her upset from what Thomas said about Ice chandelier, he went to talk to her about it. It’s also the same thing with Ash. When she saw him getting hurt by blaze, she wanted to help but Brock refused to let her. When he lost his full battle with Paul, she wanted to go after him but Brock stopped her. These two were always worried about one another and their well being.

But wait, how is Ash with Serena? I remember watching Serena’s first showcase. It was a huge bummer when she lost. But how did Ash handle it? He told Clemont, “don’t worry, because Serena is strong.” He didn’t try to go after her like he did with Dawn. (I don’t know if he did it in later episodes)

Small point here but remember when Serena dressed up in a Fennekin costume? Ash just simply looked at her. No comment. Nothing. But when Dawn put on Princess Salvia’s dress, Ash stared at her with a look of shock and even complimented that it looked good on her.

There was also the time Serena and Ash argued after his battle at Snowbelle. Ash was feeling upset after his battle and took out his frustrations on her causing her to throw a snowball at him and tell him that he’s not the “Ash” she knows. That the Ash she knows is always optimistic and never gives up. While this may seem sweet, it just shows that Serena doesn’t really know Ash at all. Yes, he is someone that she admires. But admiration can blind you to a person’s flaws. She was shocked by how he was acting and that is why she said he wasn’t the same person she knew.

My last point here is the way people notice Ash and Dawn’s relationship. From Zoey, to May, Lyra and Cory, Cynthia, Iris and Cilan.

PokeFair Rerun Value

Two Triple PokeFair banners are running this month, and in pretty close succession! I figure, for funsies, I should talk about them, since...apparently a lot of people on Reddit are thinking the Tapu are a better value than Nate? God I love that place. Such an uproar about Nate being under-appreciated, and he finally gets a legitimately staggering alt, and people are clamoring he got fucked over because SS Serena's damage is comparable. Lunatics.

Set A: The Tapu Alongside the Alola VA events rerunning, SS Acerola, SS Mina, and SS Lana are running as a combo focus. To be direct about my own biases, the Tapu are among my greatest regrets as far as pulls go. None of them were particularly exciting picks as far as characters go, I don't really like the costume choices for anyone barring Lana, whose game iteration is one of my least favorites in the series, and I was devastated at no Lusamine/Nihilego like there should have been. I was drawn in by field effects, my eternal loves, but frankly I am not a huge fan of how they actually function.

SS Lana's the easiest one to speak out against. She's a DPS pair who is physical for no real reason, and it absolutely fucks with CS parameters, necessitating that you have both Physical and Special Damage Reduction 8 not checked off. Those 100 points are obnoxious at best, and devastating at worst when attempting to off-type. Lana also does the same AoE no penalty shit as Lusamine, so despite being the long-awaited partner, the two have this nasty tendency to fail when it comes to pressuring center. Their single-target damage is just not up to par. SS Steven can make use of Lana, but there's also something to be said for the notion of, why Lana? What does Lana seriously contribute? Extended Terrain? Because yeah, sure, but is that substantially more valuable than what others present, especially when Lana's Buddy move animation sharply eats into that extended duration anyway? I've used her, but I unironically like Anni May better.

SS Mina is, frankly, a pretty poor overall support. Team Sharp Entry and an immediate cap of Sp Atk is nice, but if you pulled NC Blue, there is absolutely no reason to pull Mina. Like, imagine if Blue were just hella slow, couldn't cap crit, didn't have offense debuffs backing his defensive buffs, and healed less on his 1MP trainer move, and also couldn't flinch or paralyze. Mina is nice for Fairy compositions, but little else. Her Rain support is downright laughable with SS Kris around, and her Fairy Zone requires her to constantly take sync to keep up, which messes with pairs like Diantha and SS Wally who need to sync to contribute. And don't forget, slow and has a minimum of two-bar spam with Draining Kiss, so she exacerbates a major problem the type tends to have. Tanky stats are one thing, but there are a metric ton of tanky supports these days, including this new Sycamore. Her only relevant contribution is Fairy Zone, and SS Wally's a far better option for that effect.

SS Acerola is the only real consideration. Lauded as one of the best supports due to her rapid-fire boosting of PMUN, and ability to cap all relevant physical stats, Acerola...now has direct competition in Argenta and NC Rosa. No I'm...not joking. Acerola's contributions are that field effects like weather, terrain, and zone activate a +1 PMUN for the team, which is nice, but her own applications are "on sync" and "2MP Sun." Her Buddy move gives +1, but only up to three times. Yes, this is often sufficient. But it does mean she runs out, and it's actually difficult to get the speed boosts from her TM when you'd want them half the time. Argenta has no such problems, is more persistent with PMUN, and grants accuracy, while being able to ditch field effects for a less threatening spread of CS parameters. And NC Rosa is now coming in with comparable stacking ability thanks to her TM, which gives better gauge performance, better defensive backbone with pop healing, the ability to support special strikers as well, and can also do accuracy and less threatening CS parameters like Argenta. Acerola is good, but if you're F2P and thinking man, I only get so many picks, keep in mind that Acerola, while broadly applicable, is specifically superior only for Grass/Fire type physical pairs. In every other situation, Rosa wins, and Argenta at least competes.

My overall stance on the Tapu is harsh, but I hold firmly to it. Their kits are interesting, but I've found very, very little use for any of them. Acerola sees the most play, go figure, but since getting Argenta, I've used her less and less. And with Rosa coming up, I expect she'll drop even further.

Set B: Gauntlet Trio This Legendary Gauntlet focuses on Entei, Tapu Bulu, and Uxie. As such, the decisions they made for PokeFairs were...SS Blue, SS Korrina, and Emma. Korrina is the only Ghost PokeFair, and I guess Lysandre was busy. Also we're going Blue because we hate you.

Let's get the big one out of the way: SS Blue may have been top dog in his day, but I earnestly don't believe you. He offers only Def and crit as reliable buffs, otherwise relying on 50%s for Sp Def, and random activations for Atk or Sp Atk. His healing potential is some of the worst, relying on 30%s to maintain. Unless you have him 2/5, I legitimately think Dawn is a better starting tank for a new player, just due to the value of built-in Vigilance when you don't have lucky skill availability. His position was downright dire when I got here, and it's only gotten worse over time. I'll admit, he takes hits pretty well, but this is not unique to him, and I've never found success with him in CS unless it was stall parameters. And even then he doesn't do well with Challenge Stall in the 10k and 15k meta. Blue is a bad pick at this point.

SS Korrina, my beloathed. Coming in here just outright better than Anni Lillie in literally every way that matters. I'll never forgive this bullshit. The only joy in my life is that her limited MP Snatch move can miss and tank her run. That's what you get, Korrina. This is what you deserve. I'd say Korrina is good. She's always seemed to do well for people who pulled her, and the CS parameter of Five Stats +3 is hilarious when they're trying to use it against Korrina. It's free money. I...honestly don't have a good reason to say you shouldn't do this. Ghost isn't exactly thriving right now, and neither Anni Lillie nor Renegade Cynthia can be said to be "better" than her. Which still makes me mad, those two are fucking Master Fairs, why are they such garbage?

Emma is my girl. Poison damage has come a long way, but Emma's still peak. Her Buddy move is obscenely overpowered, and in 3v3 content is absolutely devastating. Her ability to give the entire team +4 speed means any team is running perfect gauge control, and she can even get Free Moves Next when hitting poisoned foes. Her sync is explosive, her Potions can be nice, Emma is just an excellent all-around Striker. Who cannot do Gauntlet worth beans. Seriously, it's bad. I don't know why they did this to her.

I'd say this one has better overall value. Emma remains exceptional, while Korrina is still very good even if I can't personally vouch for her. Blue sucks though, so like. The highs are higher than the Tapu, but the lows are much lower too.

Final Verdict Skip both. I'm so serious.

Look, the Tapu set seems appealing, but having run them, they're not as significant as you'd hope. Acerola is really strong, but she isn't doing a single thing NC Rosa can't also do, and Rosa covers special too. Mina's really bulky and has capped Sp Atk for allies, but often this isn't as relevant as you'd hope, and the Fairy/Rain combo does almost nothing half the time. Lana...look, she's fine. Psychic's kinda fallen off in a way where its supports and F2P-adjacent pairs are the most interesting thing about them.

Meanwhile, SS Blue sucks, SS Korrina's pretty good, and Emma's extremely good...but the split between the three hurts a lot, because you're always dealing with those lower rates, and the possibility of getting bodied by Blue, who just isn't really worth it.

Moreover, all of them are happening around this month's new additions. You want absurd power, NC Nate has more than anything these sets provide. You want really good support, NC Rosa is arguably the best there is. You want a really powerful defensive support, honestly Winter Sycamore ain't lookin' too bad. You need a rare type covered? I get that Poison isn't super common, but at least that's had a lot of powerful picks drop recently, Bug is still a wasteland, and we're given one with excellent utility and Zone. I just can't think of a scenario where either of these sets outperforms what's new this month.
