Spartan David Mamet Germany/USA, 2004 ★★★ What a weird creature this movie is. It starts with such an aggressive "tv-movie vibe" but Val Kilmer is there, so it's gotta be a real movie, right? Then more tv faces show up, and then more movie faces show up so you don't know what to think. But then it gets going and it turns into a solid thriller in (almost) no time. Which is nice. Probably not top-tier Mamet but still pretty damn entertaining and it never outstays its welcome.

THE SCANDAL WAS CONTAINED/THE BULLET HAD JUST GRAZED/AT ALL COSTS KEEP YOUR GOOD NAME/YOU DON'T GET TO TELL ME YOU FEEL BAD
{ mikey madison, 20, woman, she/her } Is that REBECCA “BECK” HOFFMAN? A SENIOR originally from NEW YORK, they decided to come to Ogden College to study DANCE. They’re THE NEPO BABY on campus, but even they could get blamed for Greer’s disappearance.
pinterest/spotify tbd
basics:
full name: rebecca "beck" hoffman
age: 21
date of birth: september 12, 2004
zodiac sign: virgo
hometown: new york, ny
gender: cis female
sexuality: bisexual
languages spoken: english, russian
PERSONALITY:
positive qualities: self-sufficient, talented, observant
negative qualities: aloof, blunt, critical
skills: ballet, listening, reading the fine print
character parallels: michael bluth (arrested development), caroline channing meets max black (two broke girls), beth harmon (the queen's gambit), david rose (schitt's creek)
relationship to greer: unlike many others in their social class, beck was not unused to having roommates. the student housing at the ballet academy was spartan and cramped and there were generally four to an apartment. it wasn’t exactly the babysitters club - the women were intensely competitive and generally consumed with their own inadequacy. the environment wasn’t exactly conducive to friendship. and beck is embarrassed to think back to how she had hoped she might find that friendship in the dorms of ogden.
there might have been a veneer of friendship at the start provided by a shared social circle. but beck feels greer never really warmed to her. beck’s idea of a fun night was a shared joint and an argument about sylvia plath, while greer’s involved harder drugs and less clothes. she always had the sense she had disappointed greer by not living up to her expectations. but beck was used to not meeting people’s expectations. their roommate relationship was cordial at best, violent at worst, with both girls having a penchant for silent treatments and wars of passive aggression over petty misdemeanors. by the time greer disappeared, beck was more than  ready for her to go. and yet; many would say they had never heard beck speak a harsh word of her. some twisted sense of loyalty kept beck’s mouth shut and greer’s secrets safe.
bio: you’ve heard stories about rebecca on a late-night talk show before - gordon hoffman tells one every time he promotes that series of superhero movies he directs (you know, the ones with too much cgi and too much spandex), and mary hoffman always finds a way to bring her up when she’s on a red carpet for some prestige drama miniseries or oscar-bait period piece. the one you’ve probably heard over and over is this - when beck was young, just an infant, her parents realized on the eve of some buzzy awards show they had failed to secure a babysitter. rather than scramble, they simply brought her along and wheeled her stroller under the table for the duration of the night, where beck slept so well and so soundly that their tablemates were shocked when they pulled her out at the end of the night. ‘what a little professional’ , they all cooed. beck knew from a very early age the best way to please her parents was to stay out of the way.
she was a perfect little professional when she came to set for a cameo on her mother’s show, a solemn six year old who had perfectly memorized her lines. she was a perfect little professional every day in ballet class, diligently stretching and without a hair out of place in her bun. she was a perfect little professional as she signed her own field trip forms and reading logs, organized her own schedule with the family chauffeur, packed her own brown-bag lunches. in fact, beck was so professional, sometimes her parents forgot she was their daughter and not someone they employed to play her.
her parents had often thought they had the perfect family arrangement. beck was at an elite ballet school that conveniently housed and fed her, leaving them free to flit between los angeles and new york and wherever else their projects may take them. they hardly blinked when she decided to go to college instead of joining a company - beck parented herself quite capably. but after a public freakout ended up splashed across the tabloids, gordon and mary are at a loss. beck is sullen, unresponsive, and uncooperative. what do you do with a professional who isn’t performing? you fire them - so the family credit card has been cut off this year. her first discovery? apparently you have to pay for drugs.
fun facts:
beck's family refers to her as birdie
since she was essentially raised by russian ballet teachers, she's picked up their penchant for cigarettes, head scarves, and tolstoy, as well as the language.
loves bob dylan and gothic novels
her childhood crush was kim possible
she thinks of herself as very practical and down to earth but she still has weird blind spots (she did do all her own paperwork for college but doesn't know how much a banana costs)
wanted connections:
book club: pretentious book club!! maybe with a potluck component!! (beck is a pretty decent cook)
crush: beck is at her heart a Piner and a Yearner and i would love to write some kind of friend pining plot!!
childhood friend: beck isn't one who's always had a lot of friends, but i would love some connections from childhood who would be able to see how much she's changed recently
bad influences: beck hasn't exactly been a fixture of ogden's nightlife scene, but now that she doesn't care anymore, this person is more than happy to introduce beck to the wonders of not caring.

Dassault Aviation receives request for 42 Rafale fighters for the French Air Force
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 12/01/2024 - 18:26in Military
At the end of December 2023, the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) granted Dassault Aviation an order for 42 Rafale combat aircraft, known as "lot 5", for the French Air and Space Force.
"On behalf of Dassault Aviation and the 400 companies involved in the Rafale program, I would like to thank the Ministry of the Armed Forces, the DGA and the French Air and Space Force for their renewed confidence. We are ready and determined to use our skills as a main contractor and integrator of complex systems to serve the sovereignty of our nation. This military industrial sovereignty is an exception in Europe. It guarantees the superiority of our combat aviation. It is also an asset for diplomatic influence and an economic force in the export trade," says Éric Trappier, President and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
Rafale is a technical, operational and commercial success that continues to position France on a world-class level in combat aircraft.
Rafale was designed to evolve by successive patterns in order to adapt the latest technologies to the user's needs. Standard 4, especially focusing on connectivity, is under development. Standard 5, which is currently preparing for launch, will bring new capabilities in collaborative combat.
France has ordered 234 so far through orders in 1993, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2023.
Rafale was also sold outside France to the United Arab Emirates (80), Egypt (55), Indonesia (42), Qatar (36), India (36) and Greece (12). Croatia acquired twelve oldest Rafales from the French Air Force.
The order book, in addition to the new "lot 5" contract, guarantees production activity for the next ten years.

Happy Birthday Scottish artist Jack Vettriano.
Born Jack Hoggan 1951 in St. Andrews, I think many of us will identify with Jack’s upbringing in the industrial seaside town of Methil, in Fife.
The family lived in a spartan miner’s cottage, sharing a bed with his brother and wearing hand-me-down clothes. From the age of 10, his father sent him out delivering papers and milk, cleaning windows and picking potatoes — any job that would earn money, he took half his earning from the youngster.
At 16, like so many in the Fife area he went into the pits, as a mining engineer, he also spent sometime as a bingo caller at the Beachcomber Amusements on Leven Promenade.
For his 21st birthday, his then girlfriend gave him a set of watercolour paints, from there he taught himself to paint. His first attempts at painting were copies of impressionist paintings such as Poppy Fields by Claude Monet. His early influences also included works displayed in the Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery. He moved to Edinburgh in 1987 and adopted the last name of Vettriano, his mother’s maiden name. Jack applied to study Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh, but his portfolio was rejected.
A year later he submitted two paintings for sale to the Royal Scottish Academy. He sold both paintings, and galleries began approaching him to sell his work. Vettriano successfully exhibited his work in many cities, including Edinburgh, Hong Kong, London, and New York. Vettriano’s paintings typically sell for between £48,000 and £195,000, and his total income from royalties is £500,000 per year.
The Royal Academy rejected The Singing Butler for its 1992 summer exhibition, but it sold for £744,500 in 2004, and I say good on him, I suspect their refusal was more to do with snobbery than anything else.
Jack went on to create a series of seven paintings in 1996 that commemorated Sir Malcolm Campbell’s land-speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The most expensive painting in this series was Bluebird at Bonneville, which sold for £468,000 in 2007.
It’s not all about pocketing his earnings though, Bethany Christian Trust, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, Quarriers and Teenage Cancer Trust are just a few of the charities to have benefitted from the sale of some of his paintings.
Vettriano collaborated with Sir Jackie Stewart in 2008 to create Tension, Timing, Triumph – Monaco 1971, a triptych that commemorated Stewart’s overall victory of the 1971 Formula One racing season The Weight is Vettriano’s self-portrait, which has been displayed in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery since 2011.
He likes to gamble on horses, but only bets what he can afford to lose, which I think would mean every day!!!
Jack has set up the Vettriano Trust, and plans to leave his money in the trust “to do good work”
His work rarely fails at auction - he points out that a recent oil painting of his sold for £35,000, well above the estimate. Reproductions of the painting remain the best selling art print in the UK.
But while Vettriano is loved, he's also loathed.
His work has been variously described as "brainless erotica", "just colouring in" "mere wallpaper" and "crass male fantasy ". But another artist David Mach says: "If he was a fashion designer Jack would be right up there. It's all just art world snobbery." Just as I said earlier.
Now 70, he still has his demons, and still rails against the establishments which continue to shut him out. But after two postponements and nearly three years of waiting, he recently said he's delighted his exhibition in Kirkcaldy finally opened to the public earlier this year
One of my favourites by Vettriano is “Dr Connolly I Presume” –which Glasgow street artist Rogue One reproduced in a giant mural outside Hootenanny Bar at Dixon Street, but it is danger of being destroyed as there are plans for a new building to go up there.
Meanwhile Fife Council are trying to raise funds for a statue of his Singing Butler,as seen in the third pic, at least he is being recognised there as I still see a lot of snobbery in the art world towards him, at least in Scotland.
You can check out more from this talented Fifer on his own web site below, and while some of his work is described as erotic, it really is very tame, naughty but nice I would say.

Interviews: Val Kilmer & Tia Texada on Spartan
MARCH 9, 2004
BY PBADMIN
David Mamet has earned a reputation in Hollywood as one of the foremost screenwriters due to his sharp dialogue, interesting characters and innovative storytelling. For Spartan, his ninth film as a director, Mamet takes a fairly simple premise about the search for the missing daughter of a political figure and creates a rich tapestry of political intrigue and conspiracy.
At the center of the story is Agent Robert Scott, played by Val Kilmer, a former Marine that has become an agent of the government’s Special Forces used to deal with tough situations that they do not want traced back them. For this mission, he works with two rookies, played by Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher) and Tia Texada of the NBC drama “Third Watch”, to try to find the girl, hitting roadblocks at every turn.
ComingSoon.net sat down and spoke to Val and Tia about their tough roles in this intriguing political thriller. Of course, our first question was how they got interested in David Mamet’s latest project:
Val: “I liked the story. It’s a very simple premise about what happens when the daughter of a high ranking political figure goes missing and the secret service doesn’t know what to do about it. It’s a strange group, the secret service, because they don’t have a leader. It’s not set-up like the military because each one is supposed to be able to act as the leader when it comes up. As consequence of that, certain things can happen and they can’t coordinate with every organization to get the girl back.”
Tia: “When I read the script, I loved the role [of Jackie Black] immediately, because she was so committed and dedicated. I felt she was like a nun; her commitment was like a nun’s commitment would be to God. These people in the Special Forces, they give their lives over to the country. We had specific instructions that everything was about the mission, so it didn’t matter what else was going on.”
And what about how it is to actually work with Mamet? Is he as difficult to work with as some might think?
Val: “He has an opinion and he’s outspoken, and not at all shy. But he’s fantastic. He’s funny as hell and he cares pretty much about everything. He always has an observation that is worth hearing and he writes like mad!”
Tia: “Mamet’s an amazing playwright, so there’s always an intimidation, but he makes everybody want to do their best with his energy and what he puts out there. David’s dialogue is very crisp; it has a rhythm and a cadence. It was great seeing Val working with David, because I would never put them together, just from their styles and backgrounds, but they worked so well together. David definitely has a style and knows what he wants, so sometimes it would be different than what I’d bring. He’ll be very specific, and you wonder why he wants to see it like this, but when I see the film as a whole, I can see what he was trying to create, and where my character, Jackie Black, fits into that. When you work with David, everybody wants to come back.”
For their roles, they had to play characters that had to make quick and often difficult decisions. It was interesting to find out how they worked at developing their characters:
Val: “We had a technical advisor, Eric Haney, who was around quite a bit. He was very helpful, because he has lived this same life beyond the government, like this character, where his own actions, become technically-speaking illegal. When the government is doing something illegal, that’s the dilemma.”
Tia: “Haney was a member of the Delta Force for years, and he wrote a book called “Inside the Delta Force”. He helped me learn how to speak the dialogue, how the military would speak to each other with a certain respect, and how sometimes, you’d have to block your sexuality out. I had to pull back on things that maybe I would do naturally.”
Val: “They speak very casually, but they’re amazing characters, because they are trained like a brain surgeon or like a combat medic, where someone’s life is on the line. Your ability to handle that stress and do something that is as intricate as getting inside someone’s body and put it back together is how they live. It’s a very, very stressful job. Most of them die. There’s 0% chance of most of their missions succeeding. They’re genuine warriors, although they’re not warmongers, because they like it when there’s peace time, but they’re also action junkies that thrive in this place in life where they pretty much know they’re going to die.”
Tia: “Eric explained to me that there would be no women in this organization at all, so it’s interesting that David wrote her as a woman.”
Was there a lot of training involved?
Val: “I worked very hard on it, because you can’t really fake this sort of prowess that they have. They’re not like tough guys, and you don’t really see them in a crowd. That’s why they’re so good at their job. They’re very strong and very quick. I had a lot of weapons training and learned how to move like them.”
Tia: “I did my military training here in New York. It’s funny, because I was in such great shape, but you can’t tell. I thought I was going to be like in tank tops, but instead, I’m wearing men’s fatigues. They also trained me in knife fighting even though you don’t see it in the movie.”
Both stars had strong opinions on the movie’s political views, and how it reflects on the current government:
Val: “I think “Wag the Dog” (also written by Mamet) was a really good film representing what’s possible with the manipulation of media. I’ve very wary of news on television. I was very impressed with media analyst Neil Postman’s book “Amusing Ourselves to Death”, because his theory was that television doesn’t influence our culture, but it is our culture and that the presidency or anything that relies on television is now totally dictated by it. We saw that during Desert Storm where government officials were saying, “I won’t know what our policy is in relation to today’s battle, because I haven’t seen CNN yet.” They just started saying that, and it was shocking! That isn’t reality. That is entertainment. News is something that happens that matters to you, not something you watch on television.”
Tia: “It’s so interesting really what goes on in our world today, and I think that’s what David is so great at showing. The political aspect of it is what makes the movie intriguing, and it’s what pulled me in. There’s a lot of underlying things going on in our government, which we always wonder about. David is very interested in politics, so it was interesting to see his word on it.”

Plaxico Burress Net Worth, Biography, Career, Income, Home & Age
Tumblr media
What is Plaxico Burress' Net Worth? American professional football player Plaxico Burress has a $1 million fortune. Wide receiver Plaxico Burress spent 12 seasons in the NFL. Before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers again for his final NFL season, he originally played for the New York Giants, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Burress defeated the previously unbeaten New England Patriots in the Super Bowl XLII while playing for the Giants. Burress is also relatively well-known for a gunshot incident from 2009 in which he unintentionally shot himself in a nightclub in New York City. According to reports, Burress entered a club with a loaded gun and shot himself in the thigh. Two days later, he handed himself up on charges of unlawful possession of a pistol. Because of the ongoing legal saga, the Giants released him. Burress agreed to a plea agreement that resulted in a two-year jail sentence. He has engaged in a number of additional court cases including claims of moving violations, auto accidents, and contract violations with automobile dealerships. Career Earnings Plaxico Burress earned approximately $29.5 million in salary over the course of his NFL career. Here is a breakdown of his salary by year: - 2000: $1.23 million (including signing bonus) - 2001: $450,000 - 2002: $550,000 - 2003: $650,000 - 2004: $2.2 million - 2005: $1.5 million (including signing bonus) - 2006: $6.75 million - 2007: $3.29 million - 2008: $3.46 million - 2009: Did not play (suspended) - 2010: Did not play (suspended) - 2011: $3 million - 2012: $925,000 Total career earnings: ~$29.5 million Financial Problems In Totowa, New Jersey, a 5,500 square foot estate was purchased by Plaxico for $1.5 million in 2005. The property was reportedly in foreclosure in 2018, a year after Burress allegedly stopped making mortgage payments. For $999,00, the house was sold in 2015. Early Life Plaxico Burress was born on August 12, 1977 in Norfolk, Virginia. He has two brothers. As a teenager, Burress attended Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, and graduated in 1996. He went on to spend one year at Fork Union Military Academy. Collegiate Career When he was in college, Burress played football for Michigan State. As a Spartan, he was an immediate success, catching 65 passes in his debut season to set a new mark for the most in a single Big Ten Conference season. The following year, Burress outperformed himself with 66 receptions for 1,142 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had 131 receptions, 2,155 receiving yards, and 20 touchdown catches in his two seasons at Michigan State. With a school-record 13 receptions for 185 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over the University of Florida in the 2000 Citrus Bowl, Burress wrapped up his undergraduate career. Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Burress with the eighth overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. His role in a historic mistake, in which he spiked a ball he thought was dead but was actually live, allowing the Jacksonville Jaguars' Danny Clark to recover it and gain 44 yards, made his first season with the team somewhat difficult. Burress improved in his second season with the Steelers, breaking the 1,000-yard barrier. However, his best season was his third with the team, with new career highs in receptions (78) and yards (1,325). Burress also participated in his first playoff game. Altogether, Burress recorded 261 receptions for 4,164 yards and 22 touchdowns during his five seasons and 71 games with the Steelers. New York Giants In 2005, Burress shifted to the New York Giants. His first season with the organization was productive; he caught 76 receptions for 1,214 yards, which helped the Giants win the NFC East. In the end, the Carolina Panthers eliminated the team in the first round of the playoffs. Burress set a new career best in touchdowns in 2006, scoring 10 despite playing in only 15 games due to injuries. His best NFL season may have been the following one, when he assisted the Giants in their run to Super Bowl XLII. The Giants defeated the previously unbeaten New England Patriots 17-14 after Burress grabbed the game-winning touchdown pass. Burress was unhappy with his salary after his outstanding performance in Super Bowl XLII and refused to participate in mandated mini-camp practices with the Giants. In his opinion, he received a lower salary than other notable NFL receivers. He was briefly suspended in September 2008 after failing to arrive for work. Burress eventually made a comeback, but not before receiving four fines for various unsportsmanlike conduct offenses. In the midst of his accidental shooting court case, he played his final game with the Giants in late November before being released by the team in April 2009. Final Playing Years With the New York Jets, Burress returned to the NFL in 2011. Before re-signing with his first squad, the Steelers, in late 2012, he spent one season with the group. He grabbed a touchdown pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on December 30 for the first time since 2004. The pass was a 12-yard score. Burress later agreed to a contract to stay with the Steelers until 2013. Nevertheless, his NFL playing career came to an end when he was placed on injured reserve in August after tearing his rotator cuff during practice. Legal Troubles Over the years, Burress has run into numerous legal issues. The most serious incidents happened in late 2008 and early 2009, starting with his unintentional self-inflicted gunshot wound at the LQ nightclub in New York City. When Burress grabbed for a revolver that had become loose in his pants pocket, the gun shot into his right leg. He spent a short time in the hospital before turning himself in to the police, who had strangely not been informed of the occurrence. Burress only had a Florida concealed carry license that had expired, it turned out. He was charged by a Manhattan grand jury in the summer of 2009 with two counts of second-degree felony criminal possession of a firearm and one count of second-degree misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Burress later consented to a plea agreement that included a two-year prison term and an extra two-year period of supervised release. He finally served 20 months before being freed in 2011. Beside the unintentional shooting event, Burress has faced other civil lawsuits for a variety of reasons, such as failing to uphold a publicity arrangement with Chevrolet, which had also leased him a car that was wrecked, and for allegedly inflicting lasting harm on a woman whose car he struck. Then, in 2015, Burress ran into difficulties after being charged by the State of New Jersey with failing to pay income taxes. He might have received a conditional jail sentence and up to five years of probation during his sentencing hearing in early 2016. Personal Life In 2005, Burress married Tiffany Glenn. The couple has a son named Elijah and a daughter named Giovanna, and lives in Totowa, New Jersey.   Read the full article

Matured Desire - Achilles x (Fem) Reader
Troy (2004) Oneshot
Tumblr media
Requested by Anon
" hiya! I have an Achilles request, what if they’ve both been sort of enemies for the longest time ever since they were kids, and at one point he gets fed up, and kisses her roughly ending up in the roughest kinkiest sex people could think of (tying up, choking, spanking, dirty talk, dom x sub, sort of a hate fuck.) please! "
Hi! I'm a bit nervous because this is my first time writing a full piece of smut, but I did my best and i hope you will enjoy it. The plot for the childhood rivalry is inspired in greek mythology, but adapted to how the story of the film plays out regarding characterzations.
Warnings: Rough hate fuck against a wall - hair pulling -chocking - spanking - lots of dirty talk.
Summary: Your eternal rivalry with Achilles gets you the attention of the mycenaean king In the context of his country wide search for a queen. Bringing up your troubled past together, the myrmidon believes you are seeking an union with Agamemnon to get the power to destroy his life.
As he confronts you about it, your tensions get to a critical point when the warrior concludes he will have to do something out of it. Your hatred remains too close to passion and he can only ruin you for any other man before you could ruin his lifetime's ambitions.

There was nothing Achilles despised more than the cheerfullness of Agamemnon. Not only because it usually meant bad news, but also due to how insufferable he tended to become on a good mood. His arrogance was high up to the sky contesting with his. Since the king felt in constant need to compete with his best warrior, it was important for him to brag on his every achievement.
On that particular moment, it was about the bride he would get for himself. After his brother married the most beautifull woman in the world he started to reconsider the lack of a queen in his palace and commanded every king of Greece to pick one of their unwed daughters so he could pick a wife among the princesses of the region. All the generals of his army were invited to witness the contest, and a handfull of kings he considered friends were there as well.
It was a power display to cause envy. A parade of the most ravishing girls of Greece after Helen circling the King in some sort of reverse parody of what happened when the spartan queen was still a maiden wanted by a multitude of suitors. The myrmidon found it hilarious, but that entertainment came with the price of standing the triumphal bliss of his rival.
In order to avoid an early scandall making fun of him, Achilles tried to distract himself watching the girls. They were all veiled for the future groom, only showing their faces when he commanded each one to introduce themselves. Beauty from all over the country was gathered there and while their faces remained covered he could still have a fun cassually checking their bodies.
He found a personal favorite quite soon. The light clothes of her fancy purple dress allowed him to perfectly picture her shape underneath, occupying his imagination in more pleasant thoughts. One by one her contestants did their thing, but he followed her with expectancy for the big reveal.
All traces of amusement abandoned the warrior's face when he recognized you. From all his many daughters, King Lycomedes had to pick you in representation of Scyros. It was unfortunately true for him that you had become a very desirable woman, so the choice was understandable, but you were one his enemies of longest date. Since he was a kid hidding in your father's court, and when you were teenagers you almost got him kicked out of there.
Everytime you crossed ways, disaster happened.
It was an unspoken theory, but he believed it all started because you were jealous of your sister. She was his first crush, and you told your father about it after you discovered them making out. Lycomedes would have kicked him out if Odysseus wouldn't have discovered his disguise in the first place, but your hatred didn't end with that.
Only a heartbroken girl would react so viscerally, the hate you hoarded for years didn't make sense otherwise. He believed you still despised him because you couldn't have him and once that childhood crush matured into desire things could only escalate. You would never forgive him for being your first love, but the passion of your hate showed your flame never got extinguished.
As soon as circunstancies allowed it, you were mesmerizing the mycenaean king with your disdain for his soldier.
" Achilles! Long time no seen. " You saluted him, with poisonous cordiality. " How are things going in your kingdom of savages? Well, only if that can be called a kingdom. Nowadays it's a military reserve of Mycenae you don't even rule as king. "
The myrmidon was visibly calm, calculating his strike before delivering it.
" How is Deidamia? I remember her with such strong affection."
" She is married. " You responded, with false propriety. " Happyly married, thanks to our protectiveness of her keeping scum away."
The wedding of his teenage crush didn't bother him at all, but he still manage to utilize it against you.
" I always knew she was going to make it before you. Look now where you ended: pleasing an old man that could be your father. "
You showed a tranquilzing smile to the king, mere witness of your altercate that was untill then very amused.
" Don't worry, your majesty. Achilles tends to act like this arround me because my presence reminds him of details that ruin the appeal of his legend. He wants no one to remember he spent his younger years hidding in my palace dressing on girl's clothes so your emisaries wouldn't find him. Have you seen the baby face of his little cousin? He has the same girly features he used to have back then."
Agamemnon was in awe with the slander. Even if it was just for that, you were becoming a strong favorite.
" Well, my dear. I hope you have some good stories for me. "
" She is the only person in the country who is more obsessed with me than you. " Achilles recalled, determined to ruin your plans. " She went as far as turning her father against me saying i was going to sleep with her sister. "
The way in which he twisted the facts to make it sound like a conspiracy against him got out the worst of you.
" I was the onlyone seeing past your charm, and time proved I was ríght now that we all know of your amatory adventures. " You fiercely defended yourself. " You were a reckless boy that had just discovered the thing hanging between his legs and was eager to try it on the first foolish girl available. Deidamia was too naive, but I knew better. By warning my father I protected her and saved our royal house from the shame of being stucked with a fatherless mess like the one you were when we received you. "
It crossed límits, but he wasn't afraid of returning the hatefull gesture.
" I think your boyfriend deserves to know where all that hate for me comes from before taking his choice. " He teased you ríght away. " You are my Phaedra … "
He had just compared you to the most sexually frustrated queen in greek history, whose vengefull spite was rooted on being ignored by the object of her desires.
" You insolent BASTARD!!! " You called him out before you could loose your temper and try to smack him. " Better start praying I won't be crowned queen. "
The warning left a bad taste in his mouth that was stronger than the altercate. Imagining you as Agamemnon's bride was a nightmare on itself because of the implications of a teaming up against him, but there was more that he couldn't simply admit.
He hated you, but couldn't stand the thought of seeing you with him. He still attempted to understand why you were so Interested on giving yourself to that pig of a king. Could your thirst for vengeance have gone that far? Where you capable of tolerating Agamemnon as your husband just so you could get some control over him? It was most likely that you had no idea of where you were stepping in, since your island once sheltered him safely because they didn't have much contact with the mycenaeans.
Figuring out what you were all about was his most inmediate need but, for that, he needed to talk to you in private. All day he awaited untill the oportunity to get lost with you presented itself during a lousy banquet. Following you closely as you intended to leave, he catched you off guard in a hallway.
" You knew this was coming, now follow me. "
Your playfull smirk spoke for you before you did.
" What If I don't? "
He grabbed you harshly, keeping your wrist still.
" We will do it the hard way. "
There was no choice, so you let him guide you through the foreign palace searching for the nearest room he could lock you in. Achilles secured the door behind him, knowing from then you were going to be completely alone.
" After comparing me to the thirsty wife of Theseus, you drag me away like this? " You mocked him ríght away. " Have you no shame? "
The tension was escalating slowly, but consistently.
" I have no time for your games, so you better tell me what I want to know. "
You chuckled lightly, enjoying yourself in this curiosity.
" Go ahead, i'm feeling generous. "
He groaned out of angered frustration, clearly fed up with you already.
" What do you want from Agamemnon? Do you expect me to believe you really are excited to the chance of being his wife? "
You response was calm and you were aware that would provoke him.
" He is the wealthiest, most powerfull man in Greece, and he hates you … Two qualities I find irresistible. "
He pushed you against a wall, barely able to control his rage to continue the interrogation.
" Do you think i'm a fool? You can't possibly wish for anything but the power to destroy me through that marriage. "
His strong hand grabbed your neck and squeezed, cutting off your air with ease. Achilles wanted to force a truth out of you, but couldn't help noticing you were peraphs too on board with that before releasing you so you could speak.
" I want an empty palace where i can sit on a throne. " You began to explain once you catched your breath. " While he will be away with you doing his wars, i can do what I want here. "
It wasn't enough for him.
" … And when he will want to touch you? Are you going to spread your legs for him like a good little wife ? "
His hand was once more arround your neck, quietly threatening with more choking depending of your answer.
" Are you trying to scare me? That's not going to work with me. " You mischievously warned him. " I'll do what it takes, my duty of queen. Agamemnon can have me, I will even fake my moans if i have to just to keep him satisfied. I'm fine with that, he has to get something out of the deal. I will take care of his throne and meet his sexual needs "
The answer awakened something primal on him.
" Not if I ruin you first … "
Sick of pretending to ignore the frustrating tension, he pulled you in for a rough kiss and you responded taking one of your hands to the back of his neck to pull his hair.
There was no way out for you from then.
Achilles ripped off the safety pins of your dress so it would fall on the floor. Once you were naked against him he began to tease you again.
" Look at how easily I destroyed your pride … Yet you dare to deny you are a needy whore. "
You didn't stay behind, iniciating another passionately hatefull kiss while your hands worked in undressing him. The godly shaped hero allowed you to roam his perfectly sculped body and you sank your nails in his hips before replying.
" You are only good at killing or fucking and you loathe me enough for either, so unless you want to spear me … "
The recklessness was paid at high cost when he turned you over so you will be facing the wall, head posicioned firmly to the side.
" I'm going to make you feel as if I was killing you. " He whispered against your ear in a husky tone. " But first, you will learn to respect me. "
You flinched with anticipation, incapable of predicting what he would do. Then, his hand started following the trace of your back all the way down and stopped in the curve of your ass.
A soft squeeze was followed by a hard spank that sounded as strongly as it felt. It send a wave of confusing, pain-stained pleasure all the way to your core, but you tried to keep still. He persisted, untill it became so intense that your knees were failing and you were about to cry.
" Who are you going to spread your legs for now? " He asked in a mock. " Are you going to be my obedient little whore? "
You lost the few shame you had left with one more slap on the mistreated surface of your asscheck.
" YES, YES! " You practically cried out. " I'll be, … I'll be your whore. I want it so badly, please! "
Achilles released a dark chuckle.
" Let's see how bad you really want it. "
He had barely reached the surface of your soaked cunt with his fingertips and you were already buckling your hips in desperation to find friction.
" Dripping wet, you nasty whore. " He commented and removed the hand to watch you fall apart. " Stop whimpering, i'm not going to keep touching you. Caresses are not what you deserve."
Suddenly, you felt the tip of his hard cock teasing your folds. Arrousal had reduced you to a pathetic mess and he got to hear you sobbing from that contact.
" No mercy, I will be rammering you. " He warned you. " … and you are going to take it. "
With that, he pushed himself inside you. Absolutely careless for your needed time adjusting to his size, he began his mercieless thrusting using you for his pleasure. The animalistic grunts he was making and the exquisite painfull pleasure of being fucked like that were soon going to become to much for you.
Achilles had completed his vengeance to control you before you could control him: you were ruined for any other man.

back in 2004 a silly game called "Halo 2" came out and I was the perfect age to become entirely obsessed.
I did not have Xbox Live when I first got it-
Along with playing through the campaign and exploring the multiplayer maps splitscreen, I would make tons of "Profiles" on it, spending hours making emblems I liked and then customizing the Spartan or Elite to match the emblem.
My favorite 2 were some skull emblem elite named "Crimson Destroyer" and a red phoenix on a white shield with a red background broken up with a white + named, creatively, "Red Phoenix". I was a child (11~).
Somewhere between a week and a month after getting the game, I finally got xbox live and needed to make an account- I decided to just name it after one of my profiles and chose Crimson Destroyer- which was taken in like every conceivable configuration. So I picked Red Phoenix but I was 11 and despite knowing how to spell Phoenix (it was ALWAYS spelled correctly on my halo 2 profile) I hastily typed "REDPHIENIX" (caps are important when you're a kid :)) and it immediately went through- I think it took me like a full day to realize I spelled it wrong lol
Ever since then I've just stuck with redphienix. It's me. It's mine.
If changing your name was free on xbox live (it was not, I think it was like 5 bucks?) I might be Redphoenix, maybe.
And if Crimson Destroyer wasn't taken I'd probably be that somehow more ridiculous handle.
But I'm not those names, I'm Redphienix :)
