Idk where it originated from but my assumption was that it was chosen bc the options for when you combine their names aren’t the best…. Alno? Niya? Alnino? Ninalya? Ninya?

Idk I feel like their mashed names don’t sound as good as the others. Ladynoir, Ladrien, Marichat, Adrienette, Lukanette, Marigami, Adrigami, Alyanette, Adrino… They all sound so much better.

But DjWifi is super cool

It’s like with SPOP. Catra X Glimmer could be something like Glitra, Catmer, or Glimcat (I’m pretty sure the fandom does use Glitra) but none of those sound as cool as SparkleKitten which is the shipname the writers came up with for them.

Do we know who coined “DJWIFI?” It’s the only big Miraculous shipname that isn’t just two names smushed together.

so I was watching roll with it

here’s my analysis of all their “visions” and specifically how they each see catra (you know what I mean if you’ve seen it)

also, here’s a picture of the various catras for reference (left to right: perfuma’s catra, glimmer’s catra, adora (obvioulsy), frosta’s catra, and then bow’s catra)

What the various Catras represent

Perfuma:

perfuma’s catra is very childlike, which could mean one of 2 things

1) this probably represents perfuma’s focus on social-emotional stuff and so she sees catra how she percives catra on a social-emotional level which happens to be very immature and childlike

2) catra in this vision very much feels like your average childhood bully, which could be either due to childhood bullying trauma perfuma has, or yet again relating her character to her social-emotional perception as a childish meanie, essentially

Frosta:

frosta sees ultimate butch catra, which I’m choosing to say is because she sees catra as a big fat lesbian

but more realistsically, it’s because frosta’s a child, which is why her perception of catra is (i think) the furthest from actual catra, because while the others process her on and adult/older teenager/generally same age level, frosta sees catra the same way we can remember seeing high schoolers and adults when we were younger—as the epitome of not maturiy, but freedom and recklessness that we admired but didn’t get the chance to be ourselves

we can also see this in the way that frosta sees herself in her vision, which is in almost the position of the adult—the most powerful one in the room, in control of everything

this compares to how she sees catra in the way that she sees herself as what she thinks an adult should be, whereas she sees catra as what she thinks an adult is

Glimmer:

Glimmer sees everyone in her vision as almost an hyper-sexualiszed version of themselves, this appearing most prominanlty in her and catra

as we know glimmer at this point in the show is almost stuck in her childhood, this represents her desire (like frosta) to be an adult, to be in control

this is intersting as well to see the comparison between glimmer’s focus on her body in the vision and the fact that her powers are centered around being able to move her body from place to place but not alter it in any way

I have no clue what that means tho

anyways, going back to how glimmer sees catra—yet again in a very sexy classic hollywood movie star way

catra at least the way glimmer sees her in almost very…slinky?

and in glimmer’s vision, we see catra constanly focusing on adora even though glimmer is the one talking to her

even though I don’t ship sparklekitten at this point in the show…this very much feels like gay jealousy

Bow:

in bow’s vision, we know that it’s full of references to the original show, making it a very classic comic-y world

I think this represnets his desire to stay young and innocent and his wish for things to be simple (we see this elsewhere in the show as well), in direct contrast to glimmer who wishes for maturity

Sparkle Kittens

R canNOT paraphrase.

He doesn’t realize we don’t have ALL the same interests.

He is currently reading me an entire article off the internet.. and he prefaced his conversation (monologue) with, “You know how last night you asked me what I was laughing at?”

My response:  “You were just laughing.. I didn’t say anything”

He started reading me the article and hasn’t stopped..

There are some of us at work that call our significant others Sparkle Kittens.. and R is definitely the sparkle kitten in our relationship.  Sparkle Kittens are the needy ones-- the ones that need to tell you all about their day, need to be constantly complemented, need to be with you.  It makes us non-sparkle-kittens sound heartless, but I’m going to be honest... I just like myself and want to spend SOME time of the day with just me.. doing my own thing.  Sparkle kittens think that when you don’t want to spend time with them, that you’re angry with them or that you need to have a “talk” because something seems wrong.  When in reality, you just got interested in a new book and don’t want to put it down or socialize with another human being until your brain is satisfied.  You know..

Anyway, EVERYONE has Sparkle Kitten qualities in their personality, but there is always one significant other who dominates as the Sparkle Kitten -- like there is almost always a dominant driver in a relationship.  R is both in ours.

So one common Sparkle Kitten realization from my own experience as well as two coworkers is that sparkle kittens have to talk about their day in agonizing detail with absolutely no story-telling ability.  That’s what R just did.. told me about his day (even when I don’t ask), read me a huge section of an article he found hilarious (and it was just ok), and is now sitting quietly because I am typing this and stopped listening (which means we’ll have a “talk” where he gets angry with me and tells me I hurt his feelings right before we fall asleep so that I can sit up for hours trying to re-enact the situation while my anxiety explodes).

Nevertheless.. I love my Sparkle Kitten and still question why he loves me.
