I am currently replaying Boris' route. Though I left off early on, so context is now out of the window for this moment. If I remember correctly, though, Alice asked Boris what he was doing in Nightmare's office, doing nothing in particular, while they were working. His answer here is, "I want to be with you, that's why I'm here. Now that you've started living in the same place as me, I want to stay with you as much as I can, right?"

It's a very sweet sentiment. Who allowed him to be this sweet at the beginning of his route? W h o ?

I might become like one of the faceless, unable to find meaning even in my own life. Or, I might become a person who didn't hesitate to fight with others in order to gain territory. .....Either way, I wouldn't be "me" anymore. Alice Liddell: 'Do you....think that it would be fine if I became someone like that?' Ace: 'Yeah, that would be fine by me.' Ace readily agreed. So easily, that it was kind of anticlimactic. Ace: 'A future where you might feel the same pain that I do would be the best.'

Julius Monrey: 'You've gone too far with the jokes. Are you going to tell me your only intention was to quietly sit back and wait?' Alice Liddell: (Julius.....!) An irritated looking facial expression, a gaze that was sharp and stern. His voice was cold, no matter how you looked at it, there wasn't a single shred of softness in it. On Sunday afternoons, I had decided to spend my time here. In the morning I went to church, then to the cemetery.....and finally to this garden. Once I graduated school, I planned on leaving home. (<-Part 1) Alice Liddell: (Joy and sadness.....and also a little bewilderment, there's a lot of different emotions jumbled together on his face.) He might be feeling bashful. But since he himself isn't able to understand that what he's feeling is "bashfulness", he's bewildered.....that's how it seems to me. No matter how it happened, or for what reason.' Narrowing moistened eyes, he smiled.
