The best unit for the Draconis Combine is the Legion of Vega. Besides their old logo going hard, they’re a unit where all the losers of the army end up. Misfits, troublemakers, disgraced warriors, malcontents and mercs who were pressganged end up here. They get last dibs on pretty much everything and are paid per mission instead of the salary the rest of the DCMS gets. They don’t even have the ability to apply a consistent paint scheme, they just slap what ever paint they have on their mechs and vehicles. They only got some respect when Theodore Kurita used them being a bunch of scuffed weirdos to try out tactics that aren’t beholden to bushido. It was a roaring success and they became somewhat respected for a time. Though by the IlClan era they’re back to being a dumping ground.

I've been making the transition these past few months, but I think I'm gonna just move back to Tumblr. My Twitter's follower-base has reached a point where I can't tweet anything casually opinion-related without it overflowing like a toilet. I post a short thread on my gripes with color design in anime and I'm getting QRT'd with "kill this guy with hammers" reaction gifs. Like, damn, this isn't fun anymore. It's not fun to talk about stuff on Twitter in general anymore. I wanted to post some ship dynamic doodles sometime there, but I know I'm gonna get weirdly aggressive takes and reactions. Monkey's paw curls, but I don't particularly like having that many followers.

This is a fetish show for a fetish I don't have, so, you know, I don't really know what I expected here. I only watched this because a friend (who I will leave unnamed) roped me into it.

Some people might try to reach and say oh well it's good to have any representation of different body types in anime, but that would require this to be representation and not a fetishizing joke, so I'm not really inclined to take that claim seriously.

Also it looks bad and is paced like shit. Never has an anime made me so self-conscious about the thing I was going to drink while watching it. This just makes me think of when Eiken got a TV anime back in the day. Even if you're into this, what does it being on TV accomplish for you or anyone??

Fucking weebs. Why the fuck are they even on a post asking people how good the English dub is? This type of comment is irrelevant there. Also, who gives a fuck? As long as the dub is good, this sort of thing doesn’t matter.

Also, this isn’t a hot take or unpopular opinion. These weebs say this everywhere because they want to feel special. Also because they feel insecure about this as they are in the minority in this opinion. Most people want (and in some cases need) dubs to watch anime.

Another thing. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Naoko have a say in who got cast as the characters in the viz dub? If this is true then the English dub is good going by that stupid logic above. Does this weeb think they know better than the creator of this franchise?
