Hiding the princess

"Ohhh, Pierre. It's so beautiful here. Gracias, mi cielo" Amira said to him. While Amira was admiring the breath-taking view from their balcony suite, Pierre was busy starring at his girl. She looked like a goddess, with her hair blowing in the wind and the lights reflecting in her eyes.

He went up behind her, hugging her tightly against his body. He hooked his chin over her shoulder, kissing her temple lovingly. "Only the best for you, ma belle." His whisper made her shiver, making her search more for his body heat.

Their romantic moment got interrupted by one of their phones buzzing. "Don't worry. I got it." he told her before she could move a finger. After kissing her cheek once more, he went inside their suite, finding Amiras phone lighting up from another message. On a closer look, Pierre could see that Carlos had been messaging Amira frantically.

To be honest, Pierre didn't leave Amira any time to inform anyone about their "spontaneous" travel. The past few weeks, the drivers and WAGS had been hogging Amira, leaving them without any time for themselves. So Pierre decided to take her away to Dubai, making her pack her luggage 2 hours before their private flight.

During their whole flight, Pierre was busy feeding Amira cherries while she tried to guess their travel destination. After 3 hours of flying, Pierre made her lie on top of him so she could rest after her exhausting packing. Pierre cherished every moment, making sure she was always in his arms, keeping her warm and safe.

Pierre wished he was able to frame the moment she recognised the beautiful city lights of Dubai. Amira once mentioned that she always wanted to visit the city. She wanted to spend her time in the dessert or in the luxury shopping centers. And who was Pierre to deny her such wish. The perfect opportunity presented after not being able to spend some time alone , just the two of them.

Till the day he died, Pierre would deny that seeing the thousand of messages Carlos send Amira in the past 7 hours made him nervous. For the love of god, he is 27 years old. Such thing like big, older, overprotective brothers didn't make Pierre break out in a sweat anymore. The Frenchman knew that he couldn't just leave the messages unanswered. He opened the Chat between the two Sainz siblings and wrote something along the lines of "Oh, I'm sorry for not answering sooner. I'm just so tired and I will go to sleep now. Bye-Bye <3". Before he could second guess himself. Pierre was brought out from his overthinking.

"Pierre, are you ok?" asked the sweet voice of his beautiful angel. "Of course, ma belle. I was just grabbing you a jacket" he answered. He quickly turned of her phone and grabbed his oversized beige jacket. He immediately wrapped her up, making sure that she was protected from the wind. "Oh, but I'm not even co-." Before she could finish her sentences he kissed her quickly.

Pierre wouldn't let anyone take her attention during their romantic get-away. Thru ought the week, he made sure to keep her busy. Pierre took her shopping, bought her the finest jewelerry. He had a SPA day with her, so she could relax from their hectic shopping day. The rest of the week they either went in the dessert, to the beach or did more shopping. Pierre made sure that they spent every second together. Safe to say that Amira wasn't able to respond to ay of her messages.

So I am immediately getting a trippy feeling. You could be under the influence. For some of you this would be something you and your person have in common. You could try a lot of "exotic" foods.

Your eyes will be locked on one another. You may be writers, or creatives in some way, you will have plenty of inspiration and will probably take time to "work." But it won't feel like work. You could both find a nice coffee shop and sit next to each other writing. I think you will still find chances to sneak away and enjoy your own company. You want to bask in the new emotions and excitement of marriage.

You will probably choose somewhere private, with a lot of nature. I see you visiting gardens and orchards. Some of you may pick apples or something while you are on this trip. oh that was me with the lando & martin timeline anon. the full timeline may make your brain melt more. this is the stuff we know about for sure:

met late summer 2022 at one of martin's gigs in Ibiza - lando was there on vacation with max f, ollie etc. the video going around of them at fisher's gig was a couple of days after martin's.

sept 2022 monza gp - martin was at the race even though he wasn't playing and was with mclaren - they posted pics of him and daniel in their hospitality. after the race, lando posted pics of them him & martin leaving in a heli - he called martin his uber driver 🤣. lando stayed in amsterdam for a few days. both of them posted videos of them on martin's boat on the canals with martin's friend jurrian. local gossip sites mentioned they'd been seen in restaurants with friends. in this time martin bought lando his decks. lando posted pics of himself with them on the plane back to the uk and martin said in an interview a few months later that he had bought them as a gift for lando.

oct 2022 - hang out after the mexico gp - there are clips on tiktok of them at a club.

dec 2022 dubai - martin was playing there on 30th dec, turned up a few days early and hung out with lando. martin posted pics of them on his insta with some masks & there was a video of them playing padel with martin k and someone else. lando's friends all posted from the vip section at martin's gig.

jan 2023 - following martin's gig in thailand, he and louis met up with lando & martin k and they all flew to finland for several days - lots of pics and videos - then on to ibiza for a few more days - martin has a home there and his parents & sister spend a lot of time there and were with them - martin posted a pic of himself with his family and also there were videos of lando and both martins on a hike. martin then flew to nice the same day lando went back to monaco - he posted a pic of himself the next day in nice getting a haircut.

june 2023 - arrive early together in nyc and hang out ahead of lando's press stuff. martin's parents and sister were also with them - there's a pic of them with lando & martin in a japanese tea house. lando stays through to martin's gig and arrives late for thursday media day in canada. martin shows up to play after the gp in canada. he and lando were out together that evening in montreal - a dj in the bar they were in took pics with them both. next day lando posts a pic of video of him, martin & louis on a hotel balcony.

july 2023 - max v & lando go to tomorrowland after the spa gp. max is in vip with his family, lando is up on stage with martin trying but failing to hide behind some speakers. videos of them at the afterpary. lando then goes to amsterdam for a couple of days before he has to be back in spa - posted a pic of the view from martin's place & a pic leaked of them playing pool.

august 2023 - after being on vacation with his family lando goes to ibiza. missed all his friends who had been there all summer, stays with martin's childhood friends incl jurrian from the amsterdam boat. pics of them out celebrating ward and jurrian's bdays and the afterparty of martin's show. lando then flies with martin to his shows in bratislava and then marseille - was pictured in bratislava plus martin posted a story with him in and lando let the marseille detail out in a ziggo interview at the amsterdam gp.

sept 2023 - zandvoort gp martin hanging with lando's dad on the grid. after the race there's a video of the two of them getting out of a van at amsterdam airport and boarding max v's plane which flew to monaco.

oct 2023 - hung out after the mexico gp after lando had had dinner with carlos. i follow a friend of lando & max v's who lives in mexico city who now has a locked account so the pics aren't public but he posted pics of both of them and martin started following him. swedish house mafia guys were also there (assumption carlos may have been there too as even though there were no pics the guy started following him as well though carlos didn't follow back)

nov 2023 - that hug at the vegas gp. local papers reported lando was also in the club with martin and max v but there are no pics and as he was probably still in some pain after his crash it's likely they confused thierry v with lando.

dec 2023 - ski trip with lando's friends. martin flew directly back from gigs in singapore and malaysia to join up with them.

Hi! Really enjoy your blog, sometimes your motivational posts is the first thing I see on my dash in the morning when I do a quick scroll. Helps me start the day with the right mindset :)

Now I want to ask for a piece of your advice. On multiple occasions in my life I had men I was with tell me things like: I have such good time with you, let me know if I can do something for you, what do you want, how can I help you etc. In those situations I knew that those were not the kind of men I could ask to pay my rent or take me to Paris, you know? I knew they didn't have the resources. So I would always be very grateful and try to think of something nice I could ask for, in moderation. But I realize that I always had that panicy period of "what do I even ask for? how do I answer these questions in a way that's classy but also take what they want to give me?"

Regarding the provider men, I would say you can always test his generosity with asking for something small at first then building up. Casually dropping in things you love, asking his opinion on a new pair of shoes, handbag, spa days etc.

Personally, I have totally moved away from this as I am currently on a dating break. I also found that seeking men to spoil me actually attracted the worst of the worst. Maybe one day i will share my Dubai experience. BUT what i will say, is before i knew of hypergamy and following SheraSeven I naturally attracted providers. My energy spoke before I did. I didn't need to tell a man to take me to the spa, because he already booked it for us for the day, I didn't need to tell him I loved shopping because he knew this about me and took me shopping. My intentions were pure. I always knew I loved to be spoiled but I never went out seeking. Some women are more tactical, and some women naturally embody being spoiled energy. So my advice is let your energy speak, be natural, ask for what you feel confident and learn to trust yourself and what you are worthy of receiving. There is no shame in wanting to be spoilt by a man, i remember telling my first boyfriend at uni how badly i wanted a Gucci handbag for my birthday, it was literally all i wanted and he took out a credit card to buy it for me. I didn't beg him ,but he wanted to make me happy. So, with that my final point being, if a man wants to spoil you there is no stopping him. If he's broke, he'll take out credit. If he's rich, £800 Jimmy Choo's will be pocket change to him. A man who wants to provide is that way inclined regardless of how much money he has, so always good to observe his generosity in the early stages. I hope this helps xoxx

Incredibly slim Dubai skyscraper will be just one apartment wide

Work is currently underway on an extremely slim new skyscraper in

Dubai. Despite its supertall height of 380 m (1,246 ft), the

tower will be just one apartment wide – or 22.5 m (73 ft).

Not to be confused with the New Muraaba, the Muraba Veil is

designed by Pritzker Prize-winning RCR Arquitectes. It also

involves engineering firms WSP and Arup, with Muraba developing.

Inspired by traditional Arabian housing, it will be located on a

prime spot in Dubai and wrapped in a porous stainless steel

Mashrabiya-style mesh, or "veil," intended to take the sting out

of the harsh Dubai sun. Its interior will consist of 73 floors

and from the renders we can see it will be a lot longer than

wide, allowing it to fit 131 luxury residences.

The apartments themselves will range from two to five bedrooms,

with prices starting from AED18,000,000 (US$4.9 million). Each

spans the full width of the tower, providing unobstructed views

Communications user terminal prepares for historic moon flyby

In 1969, Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped onto the

moon's surface—a momentous engineering and science feat marked by

his iconic words, "That's one small step for a man, one giant

leap for mankind." Three years later, Apollo 17 became NASA's

final Apollo mission to land humans on the brightest and largest

object in our night sky. Since then, no humans have visited the

moon or traveled past low Earth orbit (LEO), largely because of

shifting politics, funding, and priorities.

But that is about to change. Through NASA's Artemis II mission,

scheduled to launch no earlier than September 2025, four

astronauts will be the first humans to travel to the moon in more

than 50 years. In 2022, the uncrewed Artemis I mission proved the

ability of NASA's new spacecraft Orion—launched on the new

heavy-lift rocket, the Space Launch System—to travel farther into

space than ever before and return safely to Earth.

Building on that success, the 10-day Artemis II mission will pave

the way for Artemis III, which aims to land astronauts on the

lunar surface, with the goal of establishing a future lasting

human presence on the moon and preparing for human missions to

Mars.

One big step for lasercom

Artemis II will be historic not only for renewing human

exploration beyond Earth, but also for being the first crewed

lunar flight to demonstrate laser communication (lasercom)

technologies, which are poised to revolutionize how spacecraft

communicate. Researchers at MIT Lincoln Laboratory have been

developing such technologies for more than two decades, and NASA

has been infusing them into its missions to meet the growing

demands of long-distance and data-intensive space exploration.

As spacecraft push farther into deep space and advanced science

instruments collect ultrahigh-definition (HD) data like 4K video

and images, missions need better ways to transmit data back to

Earth. Communication systems that encode data onto infrared laser

light instead of radio waves can send more information at once

and be packaged more compactly while operating with less power.

Greater volumes of data fuel additional discoveries, and size and

power efficiency translate to increased space for science

instruments or crew, less expensive launches, and longer-lasting

spacecraft batteries.

For Artemis II, the Orion Artemis II Optical Communications

System (O2O) will send high-resolution video and images of the

lunar surface down to Earth—a stark contrast to the blurry,

grainy footage from the Apollo program. In addition, O2O will

send and receive procedures, data files, flight plans, voice

calls, and other communications, serving as a high-speed data

pipeline between the astronauts on Orion and mission control on

Earth.

O2O will beam information via lasers at up to 260 megabits per

second (Mbps) to ground optical stations in one of two NASA

locations: the White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New

Mexico, or the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Table Mountain

Facility in Wrightwood, California. Both locations are ideal for

their minimal cloud coverage, which can obstruct laser signals as

they enter Earth's atmosphere.

At the heart of O2O is the Lincoln Laboratory–developed Modular,

Agile, Scalable Optical Terminal (MAScOT). About the size of a

house cat, MAScOT features a 4-inch telescope mounted on a

two-axis pivoted support (gimbal), and fixed back-end optics.

The gimbal precisely points the telescope and tracks the laser

beam through which communications signals are emitted and

received, in the direction of the desired data recipient or

sender. Underneath the gimbal, in a separate assembly, are the

back-end optics, which contain light-focusing lenses, tracking

sensors, fast-steering mirrors, and other components to finely

point the laser beam.

A series of firsts

MAScOT made its debut in space as part of the laboratory's

Integrated Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD) LEO

User Modem and Amplifier Terminal (ILLUMA-T), which launched to

the International Space Station (ISS) in November 2023.

After a few weeks of preliminary testing, ILLUMA-T transmitted

its first beam of laser light to NASA's LCRD satellite in

geosynchronous (GEO) orbit 22,000 miles above Earth's surface.

Achieving this critical step, known as "first light," required

precise pointing, acquisition, and tracking of laser beams

between moving spacecraft.

Over the following six months, the laboratory team performed

experiments to test and characterize the system's basic

functionality, performance, and utility for human crews and user

applications. Initially, the team checked whether the

ILLUMA-T-to-LCRD optical link was operating at the intended data

rates in both directions: 622 Mbps down and 51 Mbps up. In fact,

even higher data rates were achieved: 1.2 gigabits per second

down and 155 Mbps up.

"This first demonstration of a two-way, end-to-end laser

communications relay system, in which ILLUMA-T was the first LEO

user of LCRD, is a major milestone for NASA and other space

organizations," says Bryan Robinson, leader of the laboratory's

Optical and Quantum Communications Group. "It serves as a

precursor to optical relays at the moon and Mars."

After the relay was up and running, the team assessed how

parameters such as laser transmit power, optical wavelength, and

relative sun angles impact terminal performance. Lastly, they

contributed to several networking experiments over multiple nodes

to and from the ISS, using NASA's delay/disruption tolerant

networking protocols.

One landmark experiment streamed 4K video on a round-trip journey

from an airplane flying over Lake Erie in Ohio, to the NASA Glenn

Research Center in nearby Cleveland, to the NASA White Sands Test

Facility in New Mexico, to LCRD in GEO, to ILLUMA-T on the ISS,

and then back. In June 2024, ILLUMA-T communicated with LCRD for

the last time and powered off

"Our success with ILLUMA-T lays the foundation for streaming HD

video to and from the moon," says co-principal investigator Jade

Wang, an assistant leader of the Optical and Quantum

Communications Group. "You can imagine the Artemis astronauts

using videoconferencing to connect with physicians, coordinate

mission activities, and livestream their lunar trips.

I feel very well equipped for this solo trip and future ones. I bought Keely’s old iPhone. This is the first phone I’ve owned! I’ve just had the work one, fearing I’d lose a second one! I have a portable mobile phone charger that appears to work well, AirTags attached to 3 items (as I did leave my new Apple Mac on a seat at the gate at Brisbane Airport last year)! I researched neck supports, and it was quite effective, and given the weather looked a bit rubbish in the Algarve on the advice of friends I raced out to MacPac and got a vest and I also invested in a Travelon cross body anti theft bag.

Today is a travel day. Brisbane to Dubai to Lisbon. Interestingly both Emirates Lounges were so quiet, as was Dubai airport mid morning. Is this cozzie lives? I asked a staff member in Dubai if it was due to Ramadan and he said no.

I met the lovely Tracey from seat 31D during the first flight. We were both up the back drinking cups of tea and stretching. She lives in Australia, originally from the UK, travelling back to Bristol to see her dying 62 year old sister 😢 She had an interesting story about terrible bosses, sea changes to Port Macquarie from Sydney and now due to her partner’s redundancy, three weeks after he achieved residency sponsorship from his employer, they are having several sea changes around Brisbane house and pet sitting while their place in Port Macquarie is listed on airbnb.

It gave me an idea about options for when I return as the beautiful 21 year old Anna, from the UK, has just signed the lease to rent my room for 3 months from 14th May 🤩 She’s studying forensic science and has a project at UQ. I have a feeling her and Rose are going to enjoy each others’ company.

I’d like to consider exploring house sitting locally and build up my references ahead of some potential overseas options💡 Any offers? Preferably modern, well appointed, comfortable, no pets and no gardening 😂

Now onboard the 7.51 hour flight to Lisbon.
