- have realised i have developed an ability to experience romantic interest or mb it was always there, failed to notice under layers of trauma and denial

- nearly every night i cried my eyes out about my ex friend in question (we broke up in the end of 2k22)... first weird exp or not, by now i know i should have known better and escape earlier. tbh it's been a struggle to move on fully, i still kinda miss that attention x ignoring combo and blunt wannabe guru "lessons", at least thanks to him i know what one shouldnt be doing if they wanna be a better friend

- i managed to make more friends and met one irl ... all just to fail later and avoid almost all interactions esp personal chats as apparently i am really scared of getting abandoned again, it's way easier for me to avoid and stay mostly alone... besides i still don't have enough energy to provide new ppl with anything more useful than basic enertainment

- despite stuff mentioned above, i figured out i love talking to ppl and i really wanna do good, i wanna love and be loved even even if it could be too much to wish for

- finally became a massagist!

- somehow nailed to help some ppl (wat)

- learned how to bake without setting everything on fire

- computer's video card died, so had to deal with a very laggy ol laptop

- fixed computer parts, switched from windows 7 to windows 10

- improved drawing skills, started to figure backgrounds out

- started to discover clip paint studio

- lots of rp madness was going on! felix and pals my beloved <3

- started to return back to actual writing

- spent most of summer in parks

- kinda started listening podcasts again ... this reminds i should resume woe dot begone, ty popping up in person when

btw you know what's kind of weird about ai art? it was supposed to be the scientific discovery of the decade, the kind of thing you'd see in newspapers for weeks, but instead it was an annoying twitter trend led by the worst people on earth, tons of apps to make your face look like an anime or a disney character appeared out of nowhere, the internet became kind of useless with all the written ai articles and ai images infesting searches, and also bigots are using it to make really bad political propaganda. like if you had told me ten years ago we would have machines making art i would have never guessed it would be this big of a letdown

tfw you wanna try to play ttrpgs again, but ever since playing a few years ago during a certain two campaigns, you were bullied by people who you thought were your friends because you didn't know how to play and they made up reasons why they should dislike you irl. especially while you tried to be nice to them and give them space and tried to make steps towards interacting with them in rp too.

like no, it wasn't like "oh, it's just character interaction, these characters just don't like each other!" no it was "no joke, I absolutely hate your guts, Miss Iodine, fuck you and I'll be an arse to you in-game and irl. i will ignore everything you and your character say, i will attack your character because why not and say it's just what my character would do, and then start harassing my DMs"

finally got around to watching that 1985 movie "white nights" and, not to be the gay person making everything a "gay thing", but like. almost every scene with with the two male leads is Strikingly sexually charged, Especially the ones when they're both dancing (and it's a movie about Dancing, so this just keeps happening). yeah, it's the 80s, but you can Feel the insane chemistry through the screen. the long drawn-out eye contact? the teasing remarks? nikolai Constantly checking raymond out? was it all a fun creative decision? like, was All That on purpose or...?? am i supposed to believe that they're just "good friends"?? lmao???

this is the Very Last Shot of the movie. it's not even the first time in the movie they look at each other Like That. (they both have female love interests btw):

i'm super high so forgive the rambling but

as somebody who grew up catholic and read the bible a bunch because it was words in a book and that's what i did in school, a thing thats fucking insane about christianity is how, like, the foundational text of christianity and christanity-the-institution are basically completely the opposite of one another

original observation i know but this isn't me like, doing a new thing, its reeling over an old well-worn thing because its just so insane

like fundamentally the pitch of christianity, as presented in stories about jesus, is "god made himself into a guy, but not just a guy, a poor working man in roman-occupied judea. this guy went around telling everyone how god is on the side of the poor, the oppressed, and the downtrodden, and against the rich, the occupier, and the authority. to be kind to each other, help each other, even the ones you're supposed to hate, and take solace in the face the day is coming when those in power get what's coming to them."

but then the romans decided christianity was theirs now, and i dont think we like... understand how fucking weird that is. its like if the president of the united states one day got up and declared that actually, its Soviet America now. nothing is changing materially, capital still rules america, but the flags are all red and there's hammers and sickles on everything and people call each other comrade

because that's exactly what it is, right? none of the stuff in the jesus parts of the bible are really, like, conducive to the state religion of a giant conquering slave empire, especially not the part where the romans killed the dude. so like, basically every single thing about christainity is this bizarre smoke and mirrors game with theological wordplay to get around that. the institutions of the church exist to undermine the core stuff that's written in their foundational document through a game of theological telephone.

and again like, i keep coming back to the soviet america example idea thing. because that's exactly what it is, right? imagine its like, a thousand years from now, and in some liberal government culturally descendent from the united states you got an election and the two candidates get up and cite the parts of Capital where Karl Marx is like "alright i'll hand it to the capitalists they sure built a lot of machine tools" to show their devotion to communism, which of course teaches that capitalists should own the means of production

its exactly that! they literally took a religion built around a dude who really fucking hated the roman occupation and talked endlessly about giving to others and sharing with others and helping those unlike yourself and made it into the religion of rome, of taking and keeping and hurting those unlike yourself.
