tough call, but coffee wins out by a smidge. it comes down to flavor + the heavy caffeine content. plus he can keep adding like. espresso shots and will only be judged a little for it.

books! or at least in theory. he likes to collect books--most of them biographies/autobiographies and those like books of famous photograph artists. He likes black and white photography + landscapes.

Day 16 of @31daysofwayhaven "Grief"

MC's reactions/personality are loosely based off my Detective Charlie Black.

Rating: Teen(?) for major character death

Adam/Ava: “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be here as long as you need me to be.”

[A pulls their shirt off over their head, pressing it firmly against MC's worst injury to stem the bloodflow.]

A, sharply: What are you smiling at, Detective? This hardly seems like the time.

[MC grunts with pain and reaches up to smooth A's usually immaculate hair, fond smile still in place.]

MC: My apologies, Agent.

[MC has gotten much paler in a matter of minutes. A's glare turns into a frown and they tense, reaching up to grip MC's hand where it rests against their cheek]

A: You... you will be okay. Understood?

MC, quietly: Of course.

[MC's smile falters and A sucks in a breath. Neither speak for several long moments.]

A, shakily: Good. I'll even keep you company while you recover.

MC: I- I'd really like that.

[A leans forward until their foreheads are almost pressed together. MC's breathing slowly gets more shallow and blood is soaking through A's shirt.]

A, whispered: Perhaps once you're back on your feet we could go watch another firework display or... or let me take you someplace nice, alright?

[MC chokes out a sob and A pulls them closer with trembling hands]

A: We can go wherever you like, MC, I would travel the world with you... All you need to do is hold on, please.

MC: -trying... want to stay with you.

[MC makes a frightened sound as their desperate grip on A grows weaker. A holds MC tighter, stroking their pale cheek]

A: Shhh save your strength. I’m not going anywhere, I- I’ll be here as long as you need me to be.

[A slowly leans in and kisses MC gently, then deepens the kiss when MC responds. After they break apart, MC smiles and A gazes down into their eyes until they drift closed for the last time.]

MC: 'm happy... happy I met you, A.

[MC's heart goes silent and A collapses against them, screaming in agony. It takes all of UB's combined strength to pull A off MC when they finally arrive at the Agency too late]

*melts into a puddle of sadness* There's also an N version, M & F upcoming! Because apparently I want all the pain.

😊 What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down? What cheers them up and makes everything feel better for them? Is your OC generally a happy person and do they enjoy making others smile? What about your OC makes others happy?

silly bizarre humor videos are good at making pollux smile when he’s feeling down--also people noticing when he doesn’t feel well and looking out for him. things like “hey I know you aren’t feeling well so i got you your favorite snack.” it’s the little things that cheer him up and make him feel better. like watching a movie, or spending time with his cat eggs. he journals a lot, a habit born out of years of going to therapy. 

pollux isn’t a generally happy person--he’s more neutral leaning most of the time. an emotional happy medium 9/10; probably more glass half empty/pessimistic though. he does like to make other people happy. (he’s a words of affirmation/quality time love language sorts).

tbh pollux ins’t really aware of what about himself that makes people happy--he has to be told by others what makes them happy that he is around. he doesn’t get like weird about it, but if he was asked to tell someone what do you think makes someone happy you’re around, he’s like ??? we just don’t know.

Mmkay so I was tagged by @queerbrujas to share the last line I wrote. (Other than stuff I've already shared) it's this, from an unpolished smutty Nate fic I've been sitting on:

"Wait, does that mean...?" My mouth wont cooperate, wont finish the sentence, too choked by emotion. Those words, they can't mean... surely he can't have been telling me this whole time that he...
