I got bored trying to draw more crossgens, so I decided to do the last section from South kalos tied to a location and the leak. as well as something ominously forming in the skies near a large tree thing, the return of the PWT with it's own spin on things, and a lost underwater utopia with many treasures to find! I might as well point out your rewards if you complete each section of South Kalos's Dex, these pokemon do include pokemon not found in Main Kalos and Gens 7-9 (i'm not taking into account Gens 10+ since they don't exist as of now): -Complete the South Central section of the South Kalos Pokedex and you get a chance to catch Sigbuncle, a quirky mythical Pokemon from a faroff region neighboring Unova!- -Complete the South Mountain section of the South Kalos Pokedex and you get a chance to catch Majitomb the Free Spirit, a well-researched Paradox Pokemon resembling a non-fiction tale of the sealing of a powerful Pokemon!- -Complete the South Coastal section of the South Kalos Pokedex and you get a chance to catch Proto-M1M1, a well-researched Paradox Pokemon resembling an iconic shoujo series that spans manga to anime!- -Complete all 3 sections of the South Kalos Pokedex, you get a chance to catch a Magearna in an abandoned village somewhere...-

apparently southern kalos has been confirmed, scrapped in (what looks like pretty early) devlopment.
I've always liked the idea of southern kalos being a separate region but also the rammies of kalos potentially being bigger...
#pokemon leaks#its one of those 'if it suits ur worldbuilding to add it go for it but it doesnt work for me' things#i think north and south kalos should be considered different regions and fucking hate each other

petition for steven stone dlc where we find out his backstory
(opens my jacket and all 648392592 of my steven headcanons fall out) the lore is right here don't worry
though i will say that i feel like steven's backstory would be kinda..... boring? one of the conclusions that could exist i mention in the steven case study i'm writing is something along the lines of steven being a sheltered child growing up due to his ties to devon (and supported by his sheer awkwardness in ruby/sapphire/oras. he acts like he's never met a person before he's so silly in those games) so he possibly wasn't doing anything too exciting. what i want is scarlet/violet dlc where steven shows up because NOT adding the rock maniac in the region where pokemon literally turn into shiny rocks is possibly the biggest missed opportunity in pokemon history

South Kalos cut content has been confirmed. (We only had West, Central, and East in the full game.)
From the leaker, say what now? What they've got now is 1 of 7???
Edit, beta Trainer card, Super Training, Lumiose, and looks like that route leading to Camphrier.
They also found the E3 demo:
Edit, the Kalos power plant we could never get to (the dark blue), obviously was never fully modeled.

oh my god. shout out to everyone who said/joked about Kalos remakes because of the huge landmass to the northeast of Paldea that (based on real-world geography) would be the mountain range south of Kalos
y'all are the real winners today

Okay, bombshell info from the XY betas. I'm not posting anything pics here because I don't quite trust that Nintendo or TPC is okay with those going around, but you can easily find this info on Twitter or r/pokeleaks.
First of all, Southern Kalos believers, get ready to be vindicated because you were CORRECT... in another timeline. The 2012 build indicates that they essentially cut out a chunk of the map down south. This isn't simply one or two areas, this is something like 9 or 10 additional areas, I think, that would essentially cover the fabled "southern kalos" certain fans have clamored for for years.
How this would be handled may never be truly known, but apparently placeholder data exists for an "x2/y2" in the files (according to Poryleeks on Twitter anyway). This is actually a lot more significant than people may realize, however.
If you didn't know, during the "gigaleak" a few years back, they found information in- I believe- USUM, suggesting that there were supposed to be 2 Kalos RESERVE games. Whether this was a sequel akin to BW2 or enhanced "ultra" games wasn't really known for a while.
Regardless, it seems that there's more fuel the "we were supposed to get something between ORAS and SM to finish out Kalos" fire.
There's a lot of possibilities here as to what it was supposed to be or even what happened to cancel it- if I could take some guesses, I think they simply just had too much on their plates at the time. Someone up top REALLY wanted a new generation ready for the 20th anniversary. Someone also REALLY wanted LGPE probably, so they probably started working on that at some point. Game Freak also had non Pokemon things they wanted to do, probably, and were either doing things for that or gearing up for it. All of this is simply conjecture and may not even be close to what actually happened, but evidently a game was canned, and that's simply something we may never see the full contents of for quite some time, if ever.
But anyway, Southern Kalos was almost real and tangible, apparently.

Romani
Romani is an umbrella term used to describe a diverse ethnolinguistic group of people with a historical presence in Europe and West Asia. The historically common term 'Gypsy' is based on the myth that they came from Egypt. In reality, the ancestors of the Romani migrated out of India in the 1st millennium CE.
During the European colonization of the New World, the first Romani arrived in the Americas as a result of slavery or deportation by European colonial powers. Romani immigrants began to voluntarily settle in North and South America in the 19th century. In the present, Romani communities are found throughout the world. Romani people share language and certain cultural similarities but encompass a wide range of social, cultural, and ethnic diversity.
Names & Identity
For most of history, there was no universal name for the Romani in their own language; different groups of Romani speakers and their descendants used different names for themselves and each other. The closest thing to an endonym in the Romani language is the word Rom/Romni, meaning a man or woman. In the present day, 'Romani' and 'Roma' are the most widely accepted umbrella terms for groups who speak or historically spoke Romani and have a common origin in the Indian subcontinent.
However, the Romani label is a modern invention intended to make it easier to discuss the overlapping history and experience of these groups and was not used this way prior to the 20th century. For most of history, there was no unified Romani identity or nation. The label is applied by historians to more conveniently refer to a number of communities which shared language and some cultural habits, but it should not be taken to mean that these groups were unified or homogenous. Contrary to the stereotype of Romani keeping themselves separate from society at large, European Romani were intimately connected to their neighbours and possessed a flexible cultural identity.
Different groups of Romani speakers have historically used their own endonyms. 'Roma' is widely used among Romani originating in Central and Eastern Europe. The Finnish Kaale and the Calé of the Iberian peninsula use names derived from kalo (meaning "black" in Romani). Other notable peoples include the Sinti of northwestern Europe, the Manouche of France and Belgium, and the Romanichal found in English-speaking countries. Many Romani clans and subgroups have been known by their historical professions, such as the Kalderash (lit. "coppersmiths").
Several names have been given to the Romani by outsiders, often based on misconceptions about them. The English word 'Gypsy' comes from the myth that the Romani originated in Egypt. Over time, it came to be used broadly for many nomadic or semi-nomadic groups in Eurasia. In the modern day, the term 'Gypsy' is often considered offensive, although it is used by some Romani. Gypsy is often used academically as an umbrella term to include both Romani and other nomadic peoples historically labeled 'Gypsies.'
Numerous European languages use words derived from the Greek word Atsingani or Athingani to describe Romani, such as the French Tzigane or Portuguese Cigano. The original Greek likely derives from Athinganoi, the name of a heretical Christian sect in the Byzantine Empire, and may have been applied to the Romani due to their foreign religious practices or association with fortune-telling.
The history of the Romani is intertwined with that of other minority groups, particularly nomadic peoples of Europe and the Middle East. The Lom of Armenia and the Dom found throughout North Africa and the Middle East share commonalities with Romani and likely share an Indian origin. The Romani, Domari, and Lomavren languages are thought to have originated from the same group of Central Indian languages. The term Gypsy has historically also been applied to other European nomadic peoples such as Irish Travellers and the Yenish of Western Europe, who have different origins than the Romani.

I've been using this map as my imagined visual of the Japanese Pokemon regions. (Kitakami is an actual real world city located south of "Sinnoh" aka Hokkaido! Actually there's a whole mountain range in that area known as the Kitakami Mountains)
Mossdeep City, the location of the Space Center is actually 1:1 where Japan's Space Center is, not kidding. A bit weird, right? While in the games, we think as Mossdeep being East of Mt. Chimney, but it's actually South of it when oriented the correct way.
Whether regions do make up an entire country when put together is not confirmed, there might not be a typical government that we see IRL, but regions that are very close to one another probably have unity in very similar cultural identities.
Anabel in my verse is Japanese, and I'm wondering about the the idea that she is Kanto born and her parents have business HQs in Kanto (Celadon City is where Tokyo City should be! Gosh, but every city in Kanto looks so small even in remakes! They need to fix this because Celadon is LITERALLY TOKYO i should know i went there) -- and while Anabel is Kanto born, she spent the majority of her life in Hoenn or at least near Hoenn with her grandparents/extended family.
Looker in my verse is European, but he speaks in a distinctly American accent... Wondering if perhaps he was born in a region equivalent to Germany or whatnot and spent a lot of time acclimating to America? Or he's only ever grown up European and he just developed an American accent for hiding identity purposes... Also! Kalos does have two regions! North and South. The mountains that border Paldea are primarily belonging to Southern Kalos. (Just wait until Legends Z-A destroys this with a random line of dialogue or random map asset.)
EDIT: The Legendary Beasts and the Kanto Birds are migratory and have been spotted all over the place! It's interesting to note that Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres go north as Professor Oak said "it is part of their migration," possibly implying they are a Japanese species. Legendary Beasts can appear in Kanto! (Don't hunt for them, FRLG Beasts have three IVs set to 0 due to a glitch they're practically useless) and additionally, Regirock/Regice/Registeel seem to have units in Sinnoh, though another Regigigas can be encountered in Hoenn. Perhaps Wherever there is a Regigigas present, there will be Regi Pokemon somewhere buried in the area?

Random HCs Thread for the Paldea Elite Four:
Rika:
transmasc butch lesbian all the way Babeeeee!!
Comes from a Mediterranean region south of Kalos
She and Geeta have been married for nearly 16 years.
She’s the second oldest at only 37. (Before you say otherwise, Lusamine’s 40 and looks like she never aged a day past 24)
She and Geeta may or may not be Nemona’s parents.
During her college years, she breed and hatched nearly 150 Woopers to create a “Clodsire army”. It failed, she did at least try…
Poppy:
She and her family were from the Galar region before moving to Paldea.
Was born prematurely when her parents moved to Galar and was shunned by her parents because of this.
When she first became an elite four member, she viewed Rika and Geeta as her parents rather than her own parents.
She was later fully adopted by them a two years before the events of Scarlet and Violet.
Will never forgive Rika for not giving her orange juice instead of apple juice that one time.
Larry:
Came from the Kanto region due to him getting the Normal type gym as a second job.
Got married Twice. His first Marridge didn’t end well and they divorced but they later remarried and had Giacomo. Their relationship is complicated to say the least
Was a LOT more rambunctious back in the day.
Him, Kabu and Norman get along quite nicely (AND NO THIS IS NOT THE ADVENTURES NORMAN)
Hassel:
If the world of Pokémon has Godzilla (or an equivalent), Then he would most definitely be it’s Matt Frank.
He’s been drawing for over 20+ years on webcomics, commissions, fan art, concept art, and, now, even an art teacher!
He and Brassius met in a convention 17 years ago.
An absolutely massive Godzilla (or its equivalent) fan.
definitely came out of the theater after watching Godzilla: Minus One bawling his eyes out.
His Godzilla hyperfixation comes from a particularly lonely childhood.

So this photo from the Tera Leak has been circulating and it would have been soo cool to have more of a southern part of kalos alongside like how they have Central Kalos (Vanniville Town to the Battle Chateau), Coastal Kalos (Cyllage City to Coumarine City), and Mountain Kalos (Route 13 to the Pokemon League) they wouldve had South Kalos or something connecting Kiloude City to the rest of southern Kalos having its own pokedex as well
I would type more but im too sick to think if anything more

✨🩵Looky at what I cooked up today!🩵✨
Distinction of Gender in Pokémon Species
#280-282/475 — Ralts Line
Going forward the design elements and biology is mostly based around birds but mythology wise is on faeries and ethereal beings.
To start off: Ralts
Many humanoid Pokémon* are monotreme (egg laying mammals). Although ralts are the first stage of an evolutionary line, they can still remain a ralts and age* but when it comes to infancy they hatch without their fur but as for senses, they’re blind and deaf so upon first breath ralts will chirp at such a frequency that the parents will hear from any manner of distance as they will send psionic energy* to the embryo as a way to introduce the ralts to the parent.
*at least in my take of Pokémon anatomy
*a Pokémon’s age is not the same as experience points
*like dolphins and crocodilian
Distinctions:
The ralts line vary in appearances/cosmetics depending on the hemisphere they call home. Cold seasonal regions usually more northern are fluffier and light using their “fur” to hide along rocky outcrops. Hot and humid regions in the south are always on their paws ready to run, their “fur” is sparse and short to not trip on.
Western regions such as:
Kalos
Paldea
Unova
Eastern regions such as:
Alola
Hoenn
Johto
Kanto
Kitikami
Sinnoh
No gender dimorphism is visible as a ralts.
Kirlia
After gaining experience and control of their psychic powers, ralts evolves into Kirlia. Kirlia are very popular among coordinators and musicial oficianatos (feel free to correct in comments). Dainty dancers who gracefully float across their stages practicing their form and dances.
North western kirlia as far more patient and tolerable than the south/eastern counterparts. As kirlia they still show no distinct gendering until they’re about to evolve or with age.
Gardevoir
Keep it in your pants you deviants! We’ve seen your search history and likes!/hj
Very demeur very graceful
Having gained experience and wisdom they gracefully dance before taking their final form.
Females:
A female gardevoir have very unique wing/fur that drop to their small delicate paws. They lack the vibrant bright colors both males and Gallade display.
Patient and elegant the lady in waiting; gardevoirs rarely touch the ground, using their psychic powers to hover a few inches over the ground as to not damage or dirty their dull but pure white gowns.
No matter the region each gardevoir’s gown will resemble the unique and procured trends of the culture. It was believed that in ancient Sinnoh, gardevoir were priestesses and followers of the beautiful crescent Pokémon, Cresselia. These gardevoir would have colors resembling or honoring that of the moon goddess they worshipped.
After evolving females lose their horns that they no longer need to anchor their power as they no longer require it to help, however young gardevoirs who evolve at early ages will often keep these horns but after some time will fall off as they get older and mature.
Males:
Male gardevoir are aggressive and fast, they run on foot which shortens their gown into something messy and sharp. They use their psychic energy for combat and often have practice sparing matches with others and gallade.
Male gardevoir keep their horns as while mature still need restraint from over exerting their powers. They are proud and flashy often showing off in dramatic displays during late fall and winter as these are the best seasons for their colors to really show off.
Gallade
The valiant chivalrous knightly swordsman
As they mature they often go off hunting for small dawn stones that are found near babbling streams and rivers and carefully weave them into bits of their “fur” where as they dance in a solo performance, the light from the sun bounces off their decorations causing the kirlia to evolve.
Gallade are loyal Pokémon having been popularized heavily in old Kalos, Paldea and Hisui for their spirit, and battle prowess. With methodical footwork their glide across the battlefield their blades retracting and drawing as their psychic ability adjusts at rapid speeds with each opponent.
Gallade will always stay by the young and their mate as their bond strengthens with time and often both dying from heartbreak if the other dies early, but will stay by their side to not be alone.
As I’m sure you’ve noticed with gardevoir and gallade, they both have a love-heart chest pattern that seems to extend to the back. This is their “Bleeding Heart”* which is also a very defined way to tell the difference between gardevoir.
Rounded and drooping hearts are found mostly with females as it modestly adds to the gown.
Sharp/fiery and upturned hearts are found mostly on males to add to their display but displays their passion to females
Rare occurrences:
It’s not uncommon but not really known for gallades to be female, in cases of this it is often a split that is labeled as a gardevoir, female kirlia can adorn themselves with dawn stone pebbles but they retain a delicate gown and graceful visage upon evolution however they do closely resemble in some aspects a gallade. It’s hypothesized to being an evolutionary adaption but not much has been studied from lack of cases. Domesticated are unable to display this due to the severed tie to their wild cousins.
That was fun to write up! Hope you guys liked this lil worldbuilding tidbit for my take on Pokémon! I plan on talking about eevees next but ye
Oki I love you buhbye!!! :3

Lumiose City Ghost Girl
Welcome to the first Mandibuzz Unsolved mystery where I, Bianca, and my partner Blue will tackle one of the most popular urban legends of the Kalos region, the Lumiose City Ghost Girl.
For those who don't know, the Lumiose City ghost is said to haunt the second floor of an ordinary office building on the North Boulevard strip.
Many accounts of the ghost follow a similar pattern. Flickering lights, coldness, and an apparition of a ghostly girl telling visitors that, "No, you're not the one," before disappearing. The girl is described as having long, shaggy black hair, pale skin, and long black dress.
I think we saw 5 hex girls matching that exact description in the past month. Man... oh god Bianca, the ghosts are multiplying!
Oh hush! Anyways...
One visitor claims, "It was like the world went dead silent. I couldn't hear the sounds from the street or the thrum of electricity, only my own heartbeat in my ears as a chill shot up my spine. All I knew is that I wasn't alone."
Despite this, most people report that they didn't feel a particular malevolence coming from the spirit. While most talk about the terror they felt, some accounts claim they felt a sudden sense of calmness wash over them, like they knew there was nothing to fear.
The questions no one seems to be able to answer is, "Who is she? And who is she looking for?"
More under the cut.
While Lumiose City is rich with history, this little to say about the office building. The building was constructed in the early 1920s and rented out. Over the course of many decades, it's housed a multitude of companies, and none of them have ever had a reported death inside the building.
Talks about the office being haunted started around the 1950s, most accounts following similar threads as above.
People who work in the building talk about how they 2nd floor is mostly used as a storage space, cubicles sitting empty unless the use is absolutely necessary. They report hearing footsteps above them and lights flickering.
I mean, I think we need to acknowledge that it's an old building. Maybe they need to take a look at their electrical work.
I mean, that's a possibility, but before we get into the theories, what do you think, Blue?
Well... you already know that I don't believe in ghosts. It's just a rumor that's spun out of control.
You don't think the legend stemmed from something?
I think people love a good spooky story.
Unbelievable.
Well, theory #1:
Murdered Lover
One of the more popular urban legends about this ghost is that she was a teen girl meeting up with a crush after school. Her parents didn't allow dating, so they'd sneak up to the unused 2nd floor of the office to spend time together. Only, it turned out that she wasn't alone and someone else was using it as their hiding spot. The poor young girl was murdered and now haunts the space, still waiting for her lover to show up.
Is there any evidence backing this up? I thought you said that there were no reported deaths in the building.
I'll be honest: not really. Though if someone WAS murdered, don't you think the building owner would cover it up?
Fair enough. Does she even have a name?
Maria is a popular one, but so are Camille and Anna.
What about the killer?
Well, there actually WERE a handful of serial killers in the Kalos region at this time. Lumious City specifically having Honedge Slasher. There is in fact a victim named Camille! But she was murdered in the South Boulevard.
So... just a spooky tale?
Potentially.
Theory #2
Vengeful spirit
Now the ghost is an adult woman going by the name of Charlotte Dubois who worked on the first floor. The rumor goes is that she was blatantly favored by management and was the office tattle tale. Out of anger, or perhaps because she was going to report something big, one of her coworkers murdered her after she stepped off the elevator. She now haunts the space trying to find her killer.
Any evidence for this one?
Actually, there is in fact evidence of a Charlotte Dubois working in this building! But not evidence of one ever actually living in the city.
What???
Yeah! Employment records say she exists, but there's no evidence of anyone with that name actually living within the city. No death record either, aside from a woman sharing the name who died in 2013.
Spooky.
Theory #3
A curse
There's a rumor that the ghost isn't actually real at all and is just a curse placed upon a building by an angry customer. There was a short lived insurance company that scammed thousands from its customers on 1952. It is said one elderly woman got nothing after the death of her husband and was so engaged she cursed the building to scare away any new costumers.
Well that seems kinda silly.
How so?
Well, nearly every story says she only appears on the second floor, and that the ghost isn't particularly malevolent. Why curse ONLY the second floor?
Well, two floors were actually owned separately during that year. And she wanted to scare away business, not hurt people.
Hm. Fair enough.
And final theory #4
Pokémon having a goof
And that's pretty much it. Just some Pokémon having a blast trolling people.
Now THIS is the kinda theories I like!!! We love little guys having a goof.
Although there's no proof any Pokémon calls that office space home, I must add. People have gone in there in search of a Pokémon and have come up empty handed
As opposed to people finding concrete proof that this ghost is real.
Shush!!!
There's honestly an ENDLESS amount of theories as to why this ghost haunts the building, many of which I could spend hours going on about, but these are the biggest, and in my opinion, the most likely.
I would ask you what you think but I already know...
Well, if it's not people faking for attention, then WOO Pokémon having a goof, baby!!!
What about you?
I'm honestly partial to the Charlotte Dubois theory. I think it's odd that she only exists on employment records... seems like maybe there was something people tried to cover up.
But in the end this case will likely remain unsolved.

Pokemon Adventures Green - Mountain Town Heist.
A Pokemon Adventures/Special Fic
Chapter 1 - Call and Lodging - Part 1
My Xtransciever should buzz with a call from my contact any second now.
I’d touched down by Mountain Town only moments ago. The name seemed seriously uninspired, but, in a way, that sort of thing is what makes a place noteworthy to begin with. I should know.
It was half past seven in the morning, and the inexplicably turquoise grass beneath my feet crunched with the shattering of frost as I dropped down from atop my Jigglypuff, Ririri.
Mountain Town is a precinct within the Jaf’va region, a politically peculiar land situated between Kalos and Unova. I’d never had a good excuse to find myself in the area, so, when I was contacted about a hit in Jaf’va, I couldn’t control my curiosity. I accepted the job more than a little hastily, so much so to the extent that I don’t actually know what it is that I’m to do here myself, just that I am.
Here, that is.
What I do know is that I was told to arrive at these exact coordinates, at this exact time, and to keep a low profile. I’d descended through the air on Ririri into a meadow a little ways south of Mountain Town as per the instructions. In the distance, I could see a great barrier wall that ran along the border of the town in its entirety. The southernmost gate faced me, and the pointed watch towers on either side of it were both empty; a fact that isn’t to be taken as a coincidence. My contact is well-informed, that’s for sure.
As if on queue, my Xtransciever received a call. Tachoda was the name displayed on the other end. I waited a moment as I pondered on what was inevitably a code name, trying to see if I could draw a connection of some sort from it, but hadn’t a lick of luck in my attempt at all. Finally, I answered the call.
A video feed flickered on from the other end and I came face to face with Tachoda through the screen of my Xtransciever. So, really, we weren’t face-to-face at all. I was certainly seeing him, though. He had strawberry-blond hair and the type of face that was froggy but attractive enough at the same time. He wore a gray suit and an obnoxiously lime green tie. His hair was swooped to one side.
“Green,” he said.
Which is my name, by the way.
My eyes were drawn to the upper right-hand side of the screen where a smaller window displayed the video that my own Xtransciever was sending out. I looked good today, but that was most days. I had auburn hair down to my mid-back and fluffy bangs that did a fantastic job of framing my face.
Every masterpiece needs a good frame. Ask any gallery director.
I wore a chic black mini dress, white gloves, and a totally cute pair of boots I picked up in Kalos on the flight here.
The dress was a similar one to another I had when I was much younger. I figured it’d fit the mood. I hadn’t done something like this in a while, after all.
Speaking of which, moods are important to set. Especially with men that you want something out of. It’s all about the way you approach a situation, sometimes you don’t even necessarily need to lie!
Although you really should anyways.
Furthermore, uniformly, there needn’t be any carry-through on your end either. Just the prospect of an opportunity in a man’s head is enough to throw him off balance.
They’re greedy and bullheaded like that. How simple!
“Tach,” I replied, batting my eyelashes alongside the other works one might expect. Oooo, I’m pretty good, huh-?
“Tachoda,” he responded sternly, “It’s Tach-oda. Let’s not get too comfortable, Green.” He stifled a laugh as I brooded on what had just transpired. “Green,” he continued, “you’re really not a very creative thinker, huh? What a code name!” His enunciation of the ‘o’ in ‘code’ ran a little high and upset me further.
Grr..!
He’s just trashing my name at this point!
His face suddenly snapped back to a straightly serious expression and he immediately began to proceed with the details of the mission at hand. “Take note of these things. Jaf’va is a region that is unique in its external openness but internal isolation. It’s easy to enter what is technically ‘Jaf’va’, but finding yourself anywhere but in the wilderness between the civilization within is more complicated.”
“You gonna quiz me on this or-?”
“The land within Jaf’va isn’t so much subdivided as it is claimed,” he continued without missing a beat, “The Daimyos of Jaf’va are a group of royally recognized landholders scattered throughout the region. For whatever reason, the culture around here developed such that taking more land is seen as lowbrow and deplorable, where it’s really at for these people is control and fortification. As such, the Daimyo aren’t interested in conquest, only the defense of their land. In other words, they are fiercely territorial.”
“So I gotta steal something from this Mountain Town Daimyo guy?”
“On the contraire, Mountain Town stands as an exception to the established rule I’ve explained thus far. If you’ll allow me to continue; as a result of the Daimyo culture in Jaf’va, there tend to be massive spans of what we’ll call unclaimed land. The Daimyo are so strict with who gets in or out of their respective claims that it wouldn’t be a stretch to label the people of Jaf’va as either claimed or unclaimed as well. This is where Mountain Town comes into play as an anomaly. Mountain Town is the result of unclaimed residents emulating Daimyo settlement culture inside the unclaimed land.”
“Okay..? And my target? Or, is there a target?” I asked, “What am I doing here?”
“We have a… point of interest within Mountain Town. That’s all you need for now. I’ll send you the documents that your entry sponsor provided. Present them to the guards once you reach the gate and they’ll let you in. Good luck, and enjoy your stay.”
“My what? My huh? Hey, quit it with the vagueness, Mister I’m-so-mysterious! I already know enough guys like that!”
“I trust you’ll work it out.”
“I trust I’ll work my foot-!”
“Green, one more thing.”
“Yeah, what is it!?”
“Stay out of trouble.” He smiled and ended the call.
Who does this guy think he is..!?
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! I will probably have the second part of Chapter One up in the next week-ish from now so stick around if you're interested in that! I also post art. Please let me know what you think so far! All input is appreciated!

Didn't think I'd be tacking on yet another one of these posts to the Paldea collection, but here we are....
Carmine's name in Japanese is ZEIYU[ゼイユ] and it's taken from GUROZEIYU[グロゼイユ] the Japanese approximation of "groseille', the French name of the gooseberry/red currant.
Kieran's name is SUGURI[スグリ], from Suguri[酸塊] which is the Japanese name for the gooseberry/currant, tying back to his sister. His name however is not specific to the red currant, and so can reference the black currant, accounting for the siblings' scarlet/violet color scheme.
Perrin's name is SAZARE[サザレ] I think is from sazareishi[細れ石] meaning "Gravel/Pebbles/Small rocks"? But obviously it appears to be a play on her being a descendant of Adaman, whose name was also a reference to rocks and diamonds. Almost literally a chip off the old block.
Briar's name in Japanese is actually just BRIAR[ブライア] no weird localizations there
Cyrano's name in Japanese is SHIANO[シアノ] as in Cyanno- taken from, Vaccinium sect. Cyanococcus, the scientific classification for Blueberries.
Lacey's real name is TARO[タロ] referring to the Taro(Colocasia esculenta) a root vegetable, comparable to a yam or a potato, very common in far east and south east asian foods. It seems like it might be the reason for her hair color?
Crispin's name is AKAMATSU[アカマツ] from akamatsu[赤松], the Japanese red pine (Pinus densiflora). It's a popular breed for bonsai trees.
Amarys's name is NERINE[ネリネ] from Nerine, a flower in the Amaryllidaceae family, which is where they got her English name. I feel like I'm missing an extra pun that might tie her name to her steel typing.
Drayton's name is KAKITSUBATA[カキツバタ] from kakitsubata[杜若], the rabbitear iris(Iris laevigata). His hair shape and color are based on the flower petals. He joins Iris and Drayden as Iris themed dragon specialists; in fact, he seems to have the same eye color as Drayden too... I wonder if that's got anything to it.
[Kanto] [Johto] [Hoenn] [Sinnoh] [Unova] [Kalos] [Alola] [Galar] [Hisui] [Champs] [Paldea] [Paldea2] [Paldea3] [Teams] [Misc.]

what are your thoughts on what team flare did to geosenge town?
genuinely trying to figure out what prompted this and the other anon presumably sent by the same guy because of basically identical wording.
anyways my thoughts are that it was fucked up and a tragedy and that while yes it could have been much worse with the ultimate weapon being powered down or whatever stopping it from hitting all of kalos and even the world, the ultimate weapons rising and subsequent firing did kill or injure a lot of people as well as left others without homes with an entire chunk of geosenge town being completely dead and near unlivable.
a lot of people claim that the ultimate weapon was powered by yveltal because of historical records of the first time it was used 3000 years ago and some recovered team flare files but champion serena and the others that helped disarm the weapon deny any involvement of any legendary pokemon. while there was a lot of supposed sightings of yveltal after the firing including many people saying that after the weapon went off the legendary fucked up even more of geosenge and destroyed what little had survived in the areas affected by the blast killing even more people and wiping out an entire lineage of sigilyph, there is literally no video evidence of this and the leading theory is that it was just people coping with the damage done by team flare and the ultimate weapon that led them to hallucinate a legendary causing the damage. champion serena backs up this theory, stating that she did not see yveltal once during the incident. pretty much every team flare member either didnt know much more than team flare was supposedly creating a beautiful new world, died as team flares headquarters collapsed after the weapon was fired, backed up the claims that there was no yveltal and that they had just found a different power source, or did claim that yveltal was involved but that it was just what they were told and they had not personally seen the legendary. it should be noted that with 3 of these, that malva of the elite four did confess that every member of team flare was given cover stories they were supposed to give the police should things go south (but declined to say exactly WHAT those cover stories were) and has also called team flare a cult multiple times since it was disbanded.
i think it sucked that so many people lost their lives. i think it sucked that so many people lost their family. i think it sucks that so many people lost their homes. i think it sucks that the immense trauma and grief from this sudden event caused mass hysteria and psychosis in a lot of people.
its a fucked up situation all around
