will you make a pt2 of “fun things you can do when you have an f/o” ? i rlly like that post!
for you, anon, (because I honestly didn't realize anyone cared about my account or posts that much!);
fun things you can do when you have an f/o! (part 2)
compile an amazon list or pinterest board of clothes they would wear!
if you're able, buy snacks you think they would enjoy!
name a stuffed animal after them or name a stuffed animal something you think they would name it.
make yourself a sticky note as if they made it (like a doodle, a simple 'i love you', or something silly!)
if your f/o has a particular interest, look into it! study it, if you'd like!
take quizzes as if you were them. could be something serious, or something silly you find on uquiz.
if your f/o is romantic and you would want to have children with them, pick out baby names! compile a pinterest board of baby clothes or toys you and your f/o would purchase together.
build you and your f/os dream home in a building game (like minecraft or the sims)
plan out a vacation of somewhere you'd want to go with your f/o. maybe you could make a Google slides "brochure" to convince them to go.
if your f/o has a canon perfume or cologne they wear, or alternatively, their source created one for them (primaniacs website has a long list of series they've made scents for!) put the scent notes into fragranticas "search by notes" feature to find a dupe, or make one yourself you think theyd wear!
compile a list of flowers you'd think (or know) your f/o likes, make them into a bouquet and maybe look up the meanings for each flower.
compile a list of bath and body works candles or body lotions your f/o would buy!
(my apologies if I repeated any of these! I'll try to make a part three, I didn't realize the other one had almost 1000 notes! also, if anyone has an specific suggestions, "what about a list of things you can do when you have xyz kind of f/o", hit up my asks and I will attempt to deliver!)

Fun Selfshipping Activities!
Print out pictures of them to hang up on your wall!
If they wear jewelry, make it!
Make stickers of them! (There's tutorials on youtube of how to make stickers at home, or, you can get sticker paper on amazon for pretty cheap!)
If you do make stickers, put them on your sketchbook, journal, laptop, or whatever you feel like putting them on!
Make a google slides presentation on them! Alternatively, you could also write an essay about them.
If they don't have a canonical style of handwriting, find or try to write in a way they would write!
If they do, try making your own font of their handwriting that you can download and use. Or, try to learn how to write similarly to them, maybe write letters to yourself from their perspective.
If they have a birthday or there's a holiday coming up (irl or canonical), make a card for them!
Make them in the sims, or some other character creation making game. Or you could make a Minecraft skin of them.
Draw them as a character from another source. For example, draw them as a pony from MLP, or draw them in the style of a cartoon you like!
Make a playlist of Youtube videos you'd think they'd enjoy watching, and perhaps watch them again and pretend like you're watching them with your f/o.
Make food they canonically like, or you'd think they'd like!
Make a tier list as if they were making it! Like a fruit tier list, for example.
Study it even, if you'd like!
Take quizzes as if you were them. Could be something serious, or something silly you find on uquiz.
If your f/o is romantic and you would want to have children with them, pick out baby names! Compile a pinterest board of baby clothes or toys you and your f/o would purchase together.

🍬 Five Weird Facts About Jelly Babies and the Doctor
Jelly babies are the Doctor's (nearly) lifelong obsession. Here are five fascinating facts you absolutely need to know about the Doctor’s intense (and sometimes disturbing) love for jelly babies.
1️⃣ The Doctor's obsession with jelly babies began in their 2nd incarnation. ❤️🍬
The Doctor appears to have discovered jelly babies during their 2nd incarnation, not the 4th, as some universal scholars might claim. While the 4th Doctor certainly made them his own, it was the 2nd Doctor who first started keeping a bag tucked away in his pocket.
2️⃣The 4th Doctor may have thought all Earth sweets were called jelly babies. 🤷♂️🍬
The 4th Doctor loved jelly babies so much that he offered them to just about anyone, however, on several occasions, the 4th Doctor offered 'jelly babies' when he was actually holding something completely different, like liquorice allsorts.
Now, was this a case of innocent alien confusion? It's entirely possible the 4th Doctor simply assumed for a while that all Earth sweets were called jelly babies, but we may never know for sure.
3️⃣Later incarnations don't seem to like jelly babies anymore. ❌🍬
The 1st Doctor never mentioned or carried jelly babies, but let's give the fella the benefit of the doubt—it's entirely possible he simply hadn't met one yet.
However, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Doctors haven't really been seen to be munching on them, thinking about them, or offering them to friends (so far). Is the Doctor losing their love for jelly babies as they get older?
4️⃣The Doctor possesses an adult-sized jelly baby costume. 🤯🍬
You'd think I'd have something to write here to explain it, but I don't. Why does he have it? How did he get it? Honestly, got nothing.
5️⃣Different incarnations prefer different coloured jelly babies. ❤️🍭🍬
Each of the Doctor's incarnations seem to have their own preferences regarding the colour of their favourite jelly baby. The Fourth Doctor loved the orange ones, while the Eighth Doctor favoured the red. Next up on Gallifreyan uQuiz ... What does your jelly baby colour say about your incarnation?

hi question feel free to ignore if this is weird or anything but howd u find out that ur fictionkin and like whats it feel like
cuz most of the time i dont feel like im a human or anything (some of that could be self esteem issues but i think pretty highly of myself so probably not) and usually i just feel more like a character than a human?? if that makes sense???
idk im js a bit confused and u seem cool so i thought i'd ask u
-- m
I am indeed very cool, thank you for asking!
Firstly, I must emphasize one thing: it is perfectly fine to be wrong. If you believe you are fictionkin, identify as such, and realize out later down the line that you were wrong, that is fine. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We all make mistakes.
I figured out I wasn't human before I figured out I was fictionkin (specifically that I was a ghost), so that was pretty neat. I ended up indulging in kff, like making jokes with friends about how "I totally kin x character!" and taking those silly "who do you kin?" quizzes on quotev and uquiz. I don't really remember how I actually figured it out, but somewhere along the lines I began to genuinely identify as a couple of characters and even used one of their names for awhile. I think part of it came from being very close to the host of a fictive-heavy system and them also discovering their kin identities that encouraged me to look into it.
I'd like to note: my identity as nonhuman (including being fictionkin) is heavily, if not solely due to me having MaDD. Fiction and reality are equal in my mind and I spend the same amount of time in both, an invested in both just as much as the other, etc you get the idea. I recently discovered a pattern with my daydreams in the regard that I subconsciously daydream about my 'types in scenarios with my f/os and other characters I really care about even before I realize they're a 'type, which has helped a lot but obviously isn't applicable to everyone. For this reason, I am a psychological nonhuman.
Back on topic (sorry my ADHD got the best of me)! Firstly, not feeling that you are human is a pretty good start to being alterhuman! If you feel like a character, you may very well be. However, it's just like sexuality and gender identity: I can't tell you if you are or not, only you can. It sounds pretty possible for you.
Being fictionkin feels...slightly odd but not that much. I'm me, but "me" happens to be like a dozen different fictional characters. For some 'types, I just looked at them and went "ME!" and boom, there was my answer. For others, it took (and is still taking, in some cases) lots of contemplation and experimentation. Do you feel comfortable being referred to as the fictional character you are kinsidering? Do you look at source and think "that's me!" Do you feel a connection to any other source characters? If your answer to any of these was yes, your chances are good. If you said no, your chances are still pretty good because the fictionkin experience is unique to each individual.
I experience kin shifts with some of my stronger kintypes, but not everyone does. It comes in subtle ways, such as referring to Shu as oshi-san subconsciously when I'm Mika shifted, suddenly loving myself when I'm Kaname shifted or Hiyori (cameo) shifted, and more! Again, this is not a universal experience, and really, there aren't any qualifications to being fictionkin besides...well, identifying as a fictional character.
Even if you aren't fictionkin, there are other possibilities! What are these possibilities, you might ask? Well, allow me to list them below!
Fictionkin - identifying as / being a fictional character
Fictionhearted - identifying with / relating to a fictional character
You'll notice the simple difference between these two. Both involve a strong connection to a fictional character, but one is being that character while the other is heavily relating to the character andor their experiences. It's easy to get the two mixed up, but it boils down to whether you are the character, or whether you are connected to the character.
But wait, there's more!
Otherlink - voluntarily choosing to "link" (aka identify as)
Copinglink - otherlink, but the reason is specifically as a way to cope (this is still a voluntary experience)
Note: otherlink, and by extension copinglink, are voluntary identities, meaning they are chosen. If you choose your identity, it is a linktype and not a kintype. Also, otherlink and copinglink are general terms not specific to fictional characters, so they could apply to identifying as an animal, plant, concept, song, etc literally any kin identity if it is chosen.
Fictionflicker - temporarily (and often frequently) identifying as a character, but not all the time
Paratype - a kin identity directly caused by another kin identity (for example: having Draculara as a kintype, but solely due to being vampirekin)
Cameotype - not a kintype, but is still a part of one's identity in some way (most often, this comes in the form of "cameo shifts", where someone experiences a shift of an animal/character/concept/etc literally anything else that is not a kintype. For example: experiencing Draculara shifts but not identifying as Draculara in any capacity)
There is so, so much more to all of this, but I hope this can help! If you have more questions, feel free to ask me! You can also look through tags just to get a general feel of things, that has helped me a lot!

Not all of this is actually completely useless in real life.
Reading carefully and taking special note of any easily skippable words that flip the meaning is how you should be reading rule lists and legal documents anyway; I first encountered that in test prep, but I use that skill requently in real life.
Knowing how to identify a trick question that is trying to trap you into giving and obvious but technically wrong answer will save you a lot of headaches on social media.
Recognising how people set up patterns they think are randomised is less practically useful outside of multiple choice tests, but is a great thing to know if you're trying to get a specific result on the latest uquiz.
Other test taking skills, like process of elimination and looking elsewhere in the same source for an answer, are broadly applicable in their rarified forms.
But yeah, it's silly that people learn all these as test taking skills; close reading and pattern recognition should be taught for its own sake and you shouldn't have to reverse engineer it out of a guide for gaming a score on a standardised test.
Every single time I say the phrase “I was classically trained in the art of multiple choice tests” everyone in the room who’s not a millennial laughs at my joke while all the other millennials in the room immediately look like they just walked in on a funeral by accident.
#For how effective these skills are on tests#I got near perfect SAT and PSAT math scores despite being kinda bad at math#my sister barely scraped by despite being very good at math#the difference wasn't our math ability#it was our test taking ability#I am very very good at taking tests#she's just good at math and that wasn't enough

i just want to make a uquiz about tamarins and use pictures of tamarins for it but now im questioning if these monkies even exist
like there are 2 subspecies for martin’s tamarin but no pictures of either, all that comes up are pied tamarins. the wiki says they used to be a subspecies of pied tamarins until 2001 but two of its sources contradict, ther subspeicies of martins were classified in 1912 and 1966 (unless im readin it wrong and thats also a possibility) and another website says the classification year is 1912 but has no sources under its ‘key references’ section
the only picture/vid i can find online for martins tamarin is a shakey 16 sec long yt vid (the yt channel also had vids of a tamarin not on the wiki list but also not any other images of ot online, fucking mystery there but im ignoring for now, kinda looked similar to the martins tamarin in their other vid tho), the monkey in blurred and far away in it
and like on one hand its good thats theres nothing of it online, it means it was never poached or sold on the illeagal pet trade to make its way into zoos and its not in too populated an area that theres many pictures of them, But on the other hand im half convinced they dont exist
theres another possibility that the local name never was linked to the common english name or the scientific name, which sucks but is possible, and the people in the area it lives by dont know the english name is different so if they upload any photos its by the local name that ill never know
and thast just one tamarin species, there are 12 overall (not inc. subspecies as separate) and only a few are rlly that popular online, most common in photos is cotton-top tamarin and emperor though so at least ill have loads of images of them
#does anyone in brazil wanna hunt a monkey and take a picture for me? no? ok :(#i need the read through and fully understand the wiki sources though before i claim a monkey to not exist#just wanted a silly goofy monkey quiz abt tamarins#anyway i think my autism is showing :3c

So I got to see Makiba Foster give a talk through the Internet Archive on archiving the Black Diaspora, and her work using web archiving tools to preserve documenting Black experiences and digitally-born content online and one of the things she presented on was the #Syllabus website which is an entire website of open-access syllabi on issues directly related to Black lives and history, assembled by experts. There are over 300 source collections on there right now on all kinds of topics--for a general idea of the content, three of the items at the top of the list are “Confederate Monuments Syllabus, A Crowdsourcing Project About Confederate Monuments and Civil War Memory,” “Black Womanhood: The Syllabus,” and “The Black Lives Canada Syllabus // #BlackLivesCDNSyllabus.” As far as I can tell almost all of them feature items that are open-access all the way down, and they’ve been backed up by the Wayback machine so they won’t disappear. If you’ve ever been told to educate yourself and weren’t sure where to start, or if you ever wanted to just send someone a link instead of having a whole conversation again, this might be helpful to you.

brief list of character moments that have Killed Me so far in oathbringer:
•god’s perfect jock kaladin stormblessed going ‘hm. i am surrounded by people who are traveling to be turned into an army to be led against me and everyone i’ve sworn to protect. i’m going to protect them and teach them how to cook.’
•god’s perfect jock kaladin stormblessed getting adopted by a pack of wall guards and three chapters later they’re all calling him sir
•prince himbo himself adolin kholin watching him come down the street with five hundred wall guards the chapter after that going ‘of COURSE he’s done this. and he’s probably their leader.’
•shallan davar, peak theater kid, stripping naked under an illusion in the middle of the street for The Drama as she works through a literally insane identity crisis
•adolin seeing shallan wearing the coat and hat she still doesn’t think of as something that she deserves and going ‘SHALLAN you look SO GOOD!!’ i love him i love him for her i love them.
•adolin realizing he is now in fact King Himbo and packing that thought away to do nothing with it for a while.
•there were going to be other characters and there should be but also i just kind of needed to lose my mind over these three. branderson stop being a coward and let them all kiss.

re: Rung and the Guiding Hand, I really love the history and consequences of the reinterpretations of Primus as almighty powerful being but also sometimes I just want to see a world where all the Cybertronians remember who their gods are and just treat it as a fact of life.
by this i mean sometimes when a cohort from this species of jocks is doing interplanetary negotiations they see a tiny nerd going by and immediately go ‘HI RUNG ARE YOU PROUD OF US’ and inform the aliens ‘this is our DAD we love him he has eyebrows’ and sometimes the alien species look at the cybertronians and go ‘?? shouldn’t he be...big?’ and the cybertronians go ‘no that’s what he has US for’

it didn't say books that were well liked or good or even popular. just books that you're statistically likely to have read. the number of ratings is the correct stat to use. also it's not an article or a recommendation list, it's just a checklist quiz to see how many of these books the quiz taker happens to have read. you no more need to be 'aware' of the sources than you would need to be to take a uquiz.
I got 60 out of 1000 😂
