Fun Selfshipping Activities!

Print out pictures of them to hang up on your wall!

If they wear jewelry, make it!

Make stickers of them! (There's tutorials on youtube of how to make stickers at home, or, you can get sticker paper on amazon for pretty cheap!)

If you do make stickers, put them on your sketchbook, journal, laptop, or whatever you feel like putting them on!

Make a google slides presentation on them! Alternatively, you could also write an essay about them.

If they don't have a canonical style of handwriting, find or try to write in a way they would write!

If they do, try making your own font of their handwriting that you can download and use. Or, try to learn how to write similarly to them, maybe write letters to yourself from their perspective.

If they have a birthday or there's a holiday coming up (irl or canonical), make a card for them!

Make them in the sims, or some other character creation making game. Or you could make a Minecraft skin of them.

Draw them as a character from another source. For example, draw them as a pony from MLP, or draw them in the style of a cartoon you like!

Make a playlist of Youtube videos you'd think they'd enjoy watching, and perhaps watch them again and pretend like you're watching them with your f/o.

Make food they canonically like, or you'd think they'd like!

Make a tier list as if they were making it! Like a fruit tier list, for example.

Compile an Amazon list or Pinterest board of clothes they would wear!

If you're able, buy snacks you think they would enjoy!

Name a stuffed animal after them or name a stuffed animal something you think they would name it.

Make yourself a sticky note as if they made it (like a doodle, a simple 'I love you', or something silly!)

If your f/o has a particular interest, look into it! Study it even, if you'd like!

Take quizzes as if you were them. Could be something serious, or something silly you find on uquiz.

If your f/o is romantic and you would want to have children with them, pick out baby names! Compile a pinterest board of baby clothes or toys you and your f/o would purchase together.

Build you and your f/os dream home in a building game (like Minecraft or The Sims)

Plan out a vacation of somewhere you'd want to go with your f/o. Maybe you could make a Google slides "brochure" to convince them to go.

If your f/o has a canon perfume or cologne they wear, or alternatively, their source created one for them (primaniacs website has a long list of series they've made scents for!) put the scent notes into fragranticas "search by notes" feature to find a dupe, or make one yourself you think they'd wear!

Compile a list of flowers you think (or know) your f/o likes, make them into a bouquet and maybe look up the meanings for each flower.

Compile a list of candles or body lotions your f/o would buy!

your f/o would comfort you through any kind of mental health episode you have. ptsd flashback? manic episode? depressive episode? anything you may have, they're helping you through it. they'll comfort you or get you things you need. they'll help you ground yourself, they'll help calm you down if your anxiety is getting the better of you. if you need a blanket or a stuffed animal or something to drink to help with your upset, they'd get it for you immediately. your f/o loves you so very much.

Selfshipping Positivity: IRL relationship & multiple f/o's edition!

💖 There's nothing wrong with selfshipping while being in an IRL relationship! Your partner(s) and your f/o('s) love you more than words could express, and you deserve to enjoy the unique bonds you share with each of them!

🎆 Loving fictional characters doesn't diminish your IRL love at all. It's common to have feelings for fictional characters, even if not as deeply as self-shippers do. Plus, humans have a lot of love to give!

💖 Your f/o('s) understand(s) if you love your IRL partner more! They're even grateful you have someone to care for you when they can't.

🎆 Loving multiple f/o's is okay! Polyamory is okay IRL, and it's okay in ficto love too! Even if your f/o's aren't dating each other, they're perfectly okay with sharing you and know you're in good hands!

💖 Don't feel guilty for liking/looking for a type of relationship in fiction that you'd never want IRL! That's what fiction is for, you're not a bad person for it!

sorry if this is super passive aggressive sounding or ranty but As open as this community seems some of you are so misogynistic Like wlw and mlw selfships , if the self insert is a woman or fem presenting some of you people freak out , or if the f/o is a woman or fem presenting ! Someone on twitter had a very fem presenting genderfluid self insert and selfshipped with a character that is a bit on the fruitier side but nothing is canon And people went batshit because the artist was "forcing mlw on a gay character" when the self insert wasnt even a woman ??? just fem presenting ???? like in general you people need to learn she/her pronouns and being fem presenting doesn't mean woman . Certain tmascs still use she/her and present themselves as fem -- self inserts can be the same thing without the constant hate and misinformation?

also I noticed that wlw selfshippers just dont get as much attention as mlm or mlw in general and I think we all know why lol . im not an wlw selfshipper but my closest friends are and I honestly hate seeing my selfship get more attention than theirs when their art , lore and writing has so much more effort put into it ? but its ignored because its a wlw selfship like way to go guys .
