{Why is Telegram a big headache for the Jews, USA and France?
Why did they decide to literally kidnap the owner Pavel Durov at the Paris Airport?
Tumblr media
Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram, was arrested today in France, there are different charges against him.
Telegram is the main source of information about the Israeli genocide and massacre in Gaza.
Thousands of videos of Jews massacring children have been posted on Telegram channels by journalists living in Gaza.
Israel is trying to stop that flow of information and that is why it has killed over 100 journalists in Gaza alone.
Tumblr media
The most accurate information about the situation on the ground in Ukraine comes out on Telegram, and NATO can't control it.
Many people use Telegram as their source of information because the information comes directly from the field.
Many dead NATO soldiers appear on Telegram and the CIA and NATO command can no longer hide their direct involvement in the war broke out in Russia.
Tumblr media
Telegram did a lot of damage to the French army in Africa.
The Africans organized all their protests, resistance and everything else against the French occupation forces through Telegram.
Russian mercenaries, obviously, use different platforms, but Telegram played for them an important role in accelerating the deterioration of France's military posture, especially in Africa.
Tumblr media
This is a famous photo of Telegram founder Pavel Durov giving Putin his middle finger.
In 2011, Durov said that the Russian government had requested him to cancel the accounts of anti-government figures on his social media platform.
Durov not only did not follow, but also publicly released this photo of "raising the middle finger to Putin" in the media, which received cheers from the West.
After the 2014 Ukrainian coup, Durov refused to provide the Russian government with information on users involved in the Ukrainian colorful revolution.
In the same year, he left Russia, claiming that Russia was "unable to keep up with the information age". Shortly after, he acquired French and UAE citizenship and stated that he had no plans to return to Russia.
Today, Durov was arrested by France on charges of using the platform to "support terrorist activities" and "pedophilia" after refusing to provide user information to the United States and Israel, facing 20 years of imprisonment.
Tumblr media
Durov helped Ukrainians stage a coup d'état in 2014.
Then the whole West glorified him.
He also trolled the Russian FSB and sent them the “encryption keys” to telegram in 2017.
Back then the west cheered his fight on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The founder of Telegram has been detained by French intelligence services at Le Bourget Airport in Paris while exiting a private jet.
He is expected to be presented to a judge later this evening, facing multiple charges, according to TF1.
Potential charges include terrorism, drug-related offenses, complicity, fraud, money laundering, concealment, and possession of child exploitation content.
The main concern of EU authorities regarding Telegram is its encrypted messaging, as reported by TF1}
Tumblr media
{And despite Durlov helped NATO in the 2014 coup in Ukraine, Russia is working to free Telegram founder Pavel Durov after he was arrested in France.}
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Pavel Durov could be arrested on these charges, then any country can arrest the leaders of Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft… any tech company that helps people communicate!
France is a 🤡 puppet of USA and Israel, who are mad at not having backdoor to Telegram.
Regarding Pavel Durov, Julian Assange, TikTok, Scott Ritter etc. etc. ⬇️
"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater." Claudia Cardinale and Frank Zappa:
Tumblr media
The following photographs taken by the renowned photographer Richard Avedon, were published in October/December 1967 by various magazines such as: Epoca (Italy), Paris Match (France), Cavalier (USA), London Times (England), Vikan ( Iceland), SE (Sweden).
Tumblr media
The story of this iconic meeting and portrayed in photographs between Cardinale - Zappa began in the studio in Los Angeles, California when Claudia was filming the summer movie "Don't make Waves" on June 16, 1967 at the request of the magazine "Época" as the fame of the eccentric Frank Zappa was rising among the hippie crowd.
Tumblr media
"Overnight music began to be valued. Even the London Times asked me to pose with Claudia Cardinale for a photograph! -Frank Zappa in his memoirs.
Tumblr media
As always, there was never a lack of gossip about whether Zappa had something more than a photographic encounter with Claudia but there was never anything, except a beautiful friendship.
Tumblr media
"I know you want me to explain some little post-photography adventure, but you don't have to compromise the good name of an Italian lady." - Frank Zappa.
Tumblr media
Here Claudia posing with Frank Zappa and his "Mothers of Invention" but there is a story behind those fringed ankle boots that Claudia is wearing…
Tumblr media
"The departure of Elliot Ingber (who offered his boots to Claudia Cardinale for a photo session) requires FZ to be the only guitarist…"
Tumblr media
Here is the photo by Alain Dister from August 1966 (taken from Urban Gwerder's book Im Zeichen des magischen Affen) with Elliot Ingber on the foreground. Now in "Epoca" you can see Claudia is wearing Elliot's boots. And Elliot himself is barefoot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Claudia Cardinale was in California to make a movie "Don't Make Waves" and met protesting students...

Tumblr media
Pictures from the same sessions were published later in October 1967 in US magazine Cavalier – "Claudia Cardinale on the California pop circuit".
Tumblr media
The photos speak for themselves; If we look at their outfits we can understand that the late 60's was a time of liberation, rebellion and Hippie protest and yes! Eternal summer!

Frank Zappa in a 1988 interview on the markedly rightward (centrist/neoliberal) shift of mainstream media, how religious dogma (culture wars) would be used to turn America into a country of theocratic fascism, and how televangelists purchased the Republican Party. (source)
You ever see anything you’ve been saying for half of your adult life, only to find out that others have been saying almost the exact same thing probably before you were even born? I got sucked down a YouTube rabbit hole, and came across this video. I was four years old when this was recorded.
It’s always amazing to see people speak so presciently and be proved right years later.
I don’t know anything else about him, but on those points Frank Zappa deadass nailed it 🤯

Ten years ago, Eliot Higgins could eat room service meals at a hotel without fear of being poisoned. He hadn’t yet been declared a foreign agent by Russia; in fact, he wasn’t even a blip on the radar of security agencies in that country or anywhere else. He was just a British guy with an unfulfilling admin job who’d been blogging under the pen name Brown Moses—after a Frank Zappa song—and was in the process of turning his blog into a full-fledged website. He was an open source intelligence analyst avant la lettre, poring over social media photos and videos and other online jetsam to investigate wartime atrocities in Libya and Syria.
In its disorganized way, the internet supplied him with so much evidence that he was beating UN investigators to their conclusions. So he figured he’d go pro. He called his website Bellingcat, after the fable of the mice that hit on a way to tell when their predator was approaching. He would be the mouse that belled the cat.
Today, Bellingcat is the world’s foremost open source intelligence agency. From his home in the UK, Higgins oversees a staff of nearly 40 employees who have used an evolving set of online forensic techniques to investigate everything from the 2014 shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over Ukraine to a 2020 dognapping to the various plots to kill Russian dissident Alexei Navalny.
Bellingcat operates as an NGO headquartered in the Netherlands but is in demand everywhere: Its staffers train newsrooms and conduct workshops; they unearth war crimes; their forensic evidence is increasingly part of court trials. When I met Higgins one Saturday in April, in a pub near his house, he’d just been to the Netherlands to collect an award honoring Bellingcat’s contributions to free speech—and was soon headed back to collect another, for peace and human rights.
Bellingcat’s trajectory tells a scathing story about the nature of truth in the 21st century. When Higgins began blogging as Brown Moses, he had no illusions about the malignancies of the internet. But along with journalists all over the world, he has discovered that the court of public opinion is broken. Hard facts have been devalued; online, everyone can present, and believe in, their own narratives, even if they’re mere tissues of lies. Along with trying to find the truth, Higgins has also been searching for places where the truth has any kind of currency and respect—where it can work as it should, empowering the weak and holding the guilty accountable.
The year ahead may be the biggest of Bellingcat’s life. In addition to tracking conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, its analysts are being flooded with falsified artifacts from elections in the US, the UK, India, and dozens of other countries. As if that weren’t enough, there’s also the specter of artificial intelligence: still too primitive to fool Bellingcat’s experts but increasingly good enough to fool everyone else. Higgins worries that governments, social media platforms, and tech companies aren’t worrying enough and that they’ll take the danger seriously only when “there’s been a big incident where AI-generated imagery causes real harm”—in other words, when it’s too late.

"When I was learning how to play guitar, I was obsessed with that album," Phish's Trey Anastasio said in 2005 of Frank Zappa's 1981 collection of intricate and blistering solos, Shut Up 'n' Play Yer Guitar. "Every boundary that was possible on the guitar," Anastasio said, "was examined by him in ways that other people didn't." As the absolute boss of his bands, including the legendary lineups of the Mothers of Invention, Zappa fused doo-wop, urban blues, big-band jazz and orchestral modernism with an iron hand. As a guitarist, he drew from all of those sources, then improvised with a furious and genuine delight. His soloing on "Willie the Pimp," on 1969's Hot Rats, is an extended studio party of greasy distortion, chomping wah-wah and agitatedblues slaloms. In concert, Zappa would "walk around, doing his thing, conducting," Anastasio recalled. But when he picked up his guitar for a solo, "he was completely in communion with his instrument… It just became soul music."

"Certification from one source or another seems to be the most important thing to people all over the world. A piece of paper from a school that says you’re smart, a pat on the head from your parents that says you’re good or some reinforcement from your peers that makes you think what you’re doing is worthwhile. People are just waiting around to get certified."

"...SOMEONE WHO IS INSTANTLY RECOGNISABLE AND SO INCREDIBLY FAMOUS, HE DOESN'T NEED EYES!"
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on an eyeless portrait of American musician/ composer/ bandleader, Frank Zappa (1940-1993), photographed by Virginia Turbett in New York City on April 16, 1981.
UNDERGROUND ENGLAND: "Without fear or favour is there one band image that you would like to talk us through?"
VIRGINIA TURBETT: "A difficult question. This isn’t necessarily my favourite, but I like my photograph of Frank Zappa for a number of reasons. I’d taken myself to New York for a few days with nowhere to stay and nothing lined up to do so I called Jane Freidman, publicist, but more importantly she is ‘Sweet Jane’ of Velvet’s fame. She said, “I’ve got a press conference with Frank in the morning, why don’t you come along.”  Frank Zappa was promoting an Edgar Varèse retrospective conducted by Joel Thome.
During the press conference I decided to take photos that featured only his nose, moustache, and most of his heavily badged leather jacket. One of my things was to always print the whole 35mm frame, not to crop so I always intended that this photo be unmistakably Frank, but not a portrait in the strict sense that a portrait should have eyes…. it kind of worked and luckily, I did take a couple of full head shots but they’re mostly a sense of someone who is instantly recognisable and so incredibly famous he doesn’t need eyes!
When the press had left, Jane introduced me to Frank who responded with: “There’s only one people I hate more than the English and that’s the French”  Jane asked if I’d like to go to lunch with her and Frank, in his limo, to the Russian Tea Rooms (incredibly expensive restaurant) on Central Park.  I had loved Frank Zappa very much in my early teens and listening, very stoned, to him was part of my formative years so I found all this to be quite unbelievable on many levels."

cool fun fact about smoke on the water (the song from the poll you reblogged. dont wanna infodump in tags cuz it would be spoilers) it was written about a real fire that happened at a frank zappa show; different sources say different causes but it was probably some decorations on the ceiling that started it. luckily the evacuation went so smoothly that no one was even injured, because when the band stopped to say "hey theres a fire, we need to go" the audience was too stoned out of their minds to panic. lol. but anyway deep purple was recording an album across the lake from the venue and they looked out and literally saw "smoke on the water"! and they wrote one of the most iconic rock riffs of all time about it. i love music history :]
WOAH!!!!!!! that’s super interesting thank you. I love trivia :)

this is super lovely, thank you for the tag @bby-bel !
my dad is the main source for all of my music knowledge, because i grew up on a farm far away from the city center but went to school in the city, so every morning my dad and i had to be in the car for about an hour, which meant MUSIC! he has made numerous playlists for me over the years, but the artists that stick with me the most are: Talking Heads, Roxy Music, Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, a LOT of jazz and blues, Howlin’ Wolf, Canned Heat… honestly i could go on and on!
