- weapons headcanon 🗡️
After its reformat, the datacables became Soundwave's main weapon. The datacables' primary functions relate to its intelligence gathering role, but when its battle protocols are online, the cables act as conductors for powerful electric shocks. Soundwave can control the ampage it uses, and calibrates it based on target size, basic scans, plating and frame type. The cables' electricity can be used to kill, but it prefers to disable them than outright murder. The murder comes later.
The cables are also prehensile, so they can twist and choke and restrain; all of that is common knowledge.
It also has access to an arm blaster, but it prefers not to use it; the thing takes up way too much energy for what could be considered economical. Megatron insisted that Soundwave at least have some kind of blaster for its protection, much to its chagrin.
Before its reformat, Soundwave had access to powerful sonic cannons that were situated on its arms, much like how Megatron's fusion cannon is. These cannons elicited powerful sonic waves that were capable of disorentation, stunning an opponent, and even knocking them over if they were a lighter frame or already on unsure footing.
Soundwave has always been a little...weird, even before its reformat into its stealth frame. Its sonic cannons and datacables were as "technologically advanced" as its personal combat got. It prefers hand to hand combat, sometimes with a weapon, but usually with its servos.
Speaking of servos, they transform into talons when its battle protocols are online. What's the point of long spindly digits on a cryptid if you're not going to go full feral with them?
- hobby themed headcanon 🎡
Soundwave actually really enjoys music. All kinds of music, from Cybertronian to Earthling, to other species they have come in contact with.
Because of this, it has a massive personal database of music that it has collected.
The database is sorted several different ways, mostly because Soundwave finds sorting data into quantifiable groups, subgroups, and lists very relaxing. Some of these groups are sorted by species, types of music, musical crossover between species, instrumentals, and ambiance.
Along with these groups, it also just has regular playlists (theres a big difference between the two!). The playlists are mish mashed of all types of music, and they fit certain moods, certain tasks, whatever it desires. If it is feeling something very particular, it has at least 15 playlists to choose from. It also likes to listen to these internally whenever someone like Starscream is ranting incessantly at it, and it needs to drown out his blathering.
- bad habit headcanon 🚬
Soundwave picks at its biolights when its Especially nervous. It only does this when its alone, never in front of anyone else. It would show weakness, and that there is a person behind the visor; neither of those things suit its purpose.
But, when its alone, and things are going terribly, it will pick and pick. Sometimes the biolights will break. Theyre an easy enough fix for its internal repair systems, so its not really an issue. But it does hurt, and that brings it focus.
- faith themed headcanon 📿
Soundwave only believes in Primus simply because it cannot find any other logical explanation for the Primes, the Allspark and the Matrix of Leadership. Its a begrudging acknowledgment of the diety that forged it, but nothing more.
It hated the organized religion around Primus and the original Primes with a fervor. It was oppressive, it was intended to keep the masses in line, and worst of all, none of it was true.
It detests the way that mechs and mecha will worship the ground that the Primes walk on, as if the Primes weren't determined by the very same mechs that oppress them.
Soundwave has a complicated relationship with religion, and it prefers not to think about any of it too deeply. It's in fact grateful that with the destruction of Cybertron came the destruction of the stain that was the Church of Primus. That was possibly the only good thing that came from losing its planet.

I found this comic in my computer files, I never finished it though, this is supposed to be how Soundwave found Rumble and Frenzy.

Reboot time!, after all this time away, I've changed the image format and revamped the lore. Notably, this project now has a name, transformers from a to z! (The name is only in honor of the original idea, im no longer doing characters in alphabetical order)

Transformers One In-Depth Review
Tumblr media
Transformers One is a must watch.
I’m tired of seeing a bad review go towards a movie that is actually extremely well done, especially if the reviewer hadn’t taken the time to watch it or considered the trailers enough content to draw a review from.
Seriously, it was so refreshing to see a new take on a franchise that has been around for years. In my personal opinion, it’s better than re-makes that offer even less room for creativity.
I am a huge Transformers fan. I grew up with Transformers Prime, and when I was older, I watched the movies. I’ve watched other shows here and there, and while I may not be a complete expert, I know the lore well enough to have been heavily, emotionally impacted by Transformers One.
I’ll start with the "non-spoiler take" followed by the "spoiler take” which will be “hidden” for those who do not want to be spoiled.
"Non-spoiler" take...
Peter Cullen’s voice is legendary. Chris Hemsworth himself acknowledged this in an interview, mentioning that the goal was to “re-create” and “do something new.” He intended to represent a “youthful, brash, and cocky version” of Orion Pax before he was known as Optimus Prime. This is a realistic representation. In Transformers Prime, Ratchet states that Optimus Prime was more like Jack in his youth. For those of you who don’t know, Jack is a strong-willed, selfless, but slightly impulsive teenager, as all teenagers should be. It is clear that Hemsworth has evaluated “hints” that other movies and shows have provided. Hemsworth wanted to “lean into” a more serious voice towards the end of Transformers One. He insisted “he wouldn’t dare mimic Peter Cullen.” I highly respect his choices, and he does not deserve the amount of hate thrown at him. Now, Orion Pax also comes across as a humble, soft-spoken character in other movies and shows. However, I can see why they would lean into his impulsiveness to better highlight and contrast the relationship between Orion Pax and D-16, especially as D-16’s true colors show. More about that in the “spoiler” section, though!
No, it would not have made sense for Orion Pax to have a deep, majestic voice. That comes with experience; that comes with hard decisions. Quite honestly, Hemsworth is pretty close to what I had imagined Orion Pax to sound like. It’s still slightly deep, and very soothing.
The character development in this movie? Oh. My. Word. Guys, as a writer, I can say that subtle character development – the best kind – is not easy to do. In Transformers One, it flowed naturally. It made me smile. It broke my heart. If you’ve seen other Transformers movies and shows, brace yourself. If you haven’t, still brace yourself. Again, more about that in the “spoiler” section.
The humor in the trailers has been re-posted so heavily I think it’s beginning to lose its effect and people, not knowing the context, are quick to judge. Yes, Bee is funny. It’s Bee. He’s supposed to be lovable, humorous, loyal, and powerful. I found no issue with most of the humor coming from him. There is more humor that is not mentioned in the trailers that is really worth chuckling over.
Finally, the fight scenes were clean, the animation was captivating, and the incredible Brian Tyler produced musical masterpieces for most every scene, some of it connecting to other movies and shows.
"Spoiler" take, now!
I expected to dislike Elita. Really, I did. I knew she was the “love interest” for Optimus Prime beforehand and expected big things from her, because Optimus Prime never struck me as having a “love interest” in the past. Not only that, but I expected her to be the female character I seem to find everywhere these days who strives to be better than everyone else without a lick of experience, complaining about the male figures in her life.
Elita, however, is ambitious. She leads. She doesn’t have to prove anything; she’s simply willing to work hard and do her job. Understandably, she gets upset with Orion Pax and the others when they interrupt her progress, though I can’t help but be amused by Orion Pax’s shy attempt to get her attention and adored his subtle acts of kindness. Sure, she’s a tad bit aggressive – she did punch Orion Pax, after all – but I really enjoyed seeing her adapt. When Orion Pax was feeling hopeless, she was there to encourage him. If she had stopped talking immediately after saying “I’m better” I would have been frustrated. Orion Pax and D-16 are the main characters in Transformers One, after all. She didn’t stop there, though. She highlighted the most important aspects of Orion Pax; his good heart, selflessness, and bravery. She told Shockwave and the others to shut up and listen to Orion Pax when they doubted his plan. She encouraged him to speak louder when others couldn’t hear him. She leaned towards the pit when Orion Pax fell.
Not only that, but Orion Pax was incredibly patient with her. He woke her up when she was unconscious and immediately took a punch to the face like a champ. He gently, subtlety smiled at her when they traveled to the surface and Elita announced "it's beautiful." He cried out her name and pushed her out of the way to save her during a battle. He listened to her. He told her to beat Arachnid “gently” when Elita managed to detain her, proving he fully understood Elita’s personality.
I’m sorry, but this kind of relationship takes the cake. If they’re meant to be a couple, I can see the signs. I love how well they work together and build each other up.
Bee is an icon. One of my favorite scenes is him eagerly saying to Orion Pax “I’m going to go cut these guys up, watch! C’MERE!” It’s like a proud kid trying to get their parent to watch. I love how loyal he is to Orion Pax right off the bat.
While they changed some lore in Transformers One, they included everything that was important. Orion Pax and D-16 are miners, but it seems Orion Pax may have been a clerk beforehand. When he broke into the archives, he seemed to know where he was going. When he ran, I can’t remember exactly, but I believe he was muttering numbers? I don’t mind the small twists and can see how they were necessary for the story; key details are kept.
Jazz and Ratchet mention! I was so excited to hear their names. Kind of wish they had shown Ratchet, maybe shouting “I needed that!” to a fumbling worker. Sorry, Transformers Prime reference.
Arachnid had an incredible design.
Sentinel is a well-written, hate-worthy villain. I… did not expect D-16 to rip him in half, though.
Also… can I just mention how epic that particular scene was? The switch from D-16 reaching his peak character development – showing no mercy – while Orion Pax reached his – making the ultimate sacrifice to preserve life and do things the right way; receiving the Matrix of Leadership. The music, the animation, the slow-motion… everything was incredibly cinematic.
Obviously, D-16 took things too far. I appreciated the fact that he didn’t just wake up one day and decide to be evil. It took time. It took motivation. Obviously, any sane person would stand with Optimus Prime, though he does make mistakes from time to time, but it was incredibly neat to actually appreciate D-16’s insight in the beginning, then notice the shift and feel every bit of emotion Orion Pax felt.
People say the ending is rushed, or that D-16’s change came too abruptly without any good motivation. Sure, the ending may be a little rushed, but movies are typically structured this way. Falling action does not have a set speed; it just needs to be well done. Bad things happen in a rush, and this leaves ample opportunity for the “good guys” to react a little too slowly. As for D-16’s motivation… even a person can take their worship of an item or figure too far. Megatronus was someone to look up to in D-16’s eyes. He agreed to Orion Pax’s plans, or at least tolerated them, but his admiration for Megatronus was his own interest. Orion Pax threatened that vision. D-16 wanted to kill Sentinel to satisfy his own needs and desires, not to liberate others. Sentinel deserved death after committing murder, yes. He didn’t, however, deserve a public execution, especially as he tried to get away and was relatively defenseless. Remember, Sentinel told D-16 and Bee that he would execute them in front of everyone. We can acknowledge his promise as brutal, so shouldn't D-16's actions be considered brutal, too? No "reason" could ever justify it.
When D-16 let Orion Pax drop, he proved he no longer cared about loyalty. The least he could do was hoist Orion Pax’s body up or break down after losing what he once called his best friend, but he didn’t.
It’s ironic… D-16 said “I’m done saving you” when in reality, Orion Pax was trying to save D-16 from doing something he knew D-16 should have regretted doing. Normally, yes, D-16 is the voice of reason, but not in this case. For once, this is where Orion Pax’s true personality shines through. His spark – the spark of a Prime – is in the right place. Orion Pax puts joking aside when serious matters arise. It seems D-16 didn’t really know his friend after all. The actions D-16 committed, my friends, are not actions you want to celebrate.
I really, really hope Transformers One gains more attention. We need the sequel! Transformers fans, tell your friends. Give an honest review, which are of more value than the reviews given by those who didn’t take the time to watch it. Hype it up and roll out!

May we get more info on or perhaps a little doodle of your Soundwave? 👀
Tumblr media
absolutely! here he is playing guitar hero
he has a horrible little gamer nest with an rgb custom built pc that he plays on and its not ergonomic to use in the slightest. he bought a gamer chair cause he thought it looked cool but most of the time he just hangs around using his cables instead. shockwave went in there and saw the amount of lights and monitors and instantly understood why soundwave gets so many migraines.

They don’t go into what empurata means in the tfp universe (removing a criminal’s face and hands so everyone knows they’re a criminal) but I always wonder what he was like before it. Was he a senator like in other tf versions? Was he kind? Gentle before the war began and it was removed? Potential angst for you uwu
https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Empurata
And have you also seen the images of Soundwave’s face without his mask? Or gladiator Soundwave? 👀
Oooh… that’s interesting, I still don’t know what the general transformers lore in general
In tfp Soundwave was a gladiator and he was already faceless? Was he a criminal in the tfp canon? I also read at some point Soundwave was an important guy but I don’t know if that’s tfp or somewhere else. Something something vow of violence because he wanted to speak with action (I haven’t gotten to the part of the series where they explain that, but I’m just enjoying that Soundwave is important before and after Decepticons hehehe)
I’ve seen fanart of Soundwave’s face and the comic version? I’m neutral on that because I like the faceless/fucked up face aspect djskfsfkdjg.
I thought that Soundwave’s face would be disturbing (especially since Knockout didn’t look thrilled to fix his visor in season 2). Is that controversial opinion? I would love Soundwave whatever face he wears though lol
I’ve also seen art where only his eyes are visible from the visor and some posts showing proof that in the show he has eye indicators and I like that
I am a big fan of gladiator soundwave oh my god hes so BUFF AND ARMORED AND HIS HAND IS WIDER AND BIGGER, GOOD FOR GRABBING YOU-

The Rescue Bot Massacre
The Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy were a true neutral in the war. They would help either side after a battle, offering aid and energon to the soldiers. After one battle however, the Protectobots had descended on a battle field after the battle was over. They went about leading their other teams to help the different sides. Blades had found Soundwave, who was trying to keep Buzzsaw alive after a devastating blow. Blades immediately helped Soundwave and Buzzsaw, but as he was fixing them up, Megatron approached the group.
"What is the meaning of this? Why are you helping the Autobots."
Blades was obviously taken aback by this, but kept his eyes on the repairs.
"We're Rescue Bots. We help anyone and everyone, no matter the fraction."
Megatron's face after that was unreadable, even Soundwave was confused. Megatron had stormed off after that, and neither bot acknowledged it further.
In the cycles following that interaction, Megatron had issued a statement to all Decepticons that they were to not trust the Rescue Bots. Due to their neutrality during the war, they were inherently traitors of the cause and must be destroyed.
Fearing for their city and students' safety, the Protectobots (Alpha team 1 and 2) made the call to join the Autobot forces as Protectobots, not Rescue Bots. They also reached out to their allies in Vos, who at that time were also a neutral force to the war. Together, between the Protectobots, Vos, and their new allies of the early Autobots, they were able to keep Decepticon forces at bay from destroying Rescue City. Even when Vos eventually fell to the Decepticons, the Wreckers were able to fill their place.
However, when Alpha team 1, the original Protectobots, fell at Tagan Heights, that security over Rescue City fell as well. Megatron did not attack right as they fell. It took several Vorns in fact before the Decepticons attacked the city. Alpha team 2, which consisted of Skyfeather, Heatrock, Rook, and Medix, had to take over governing the city and protecting it in the wake of their Parensnatales' death.
When the Decepticon forces finally attacked the city, Skyfeather was their first contact. All of the students had been evacuated into underground bunkers. The Alpha teams were the only ones on the surface level, ready to defend their homes.
"Surrender the Rescue Bot forces to the Decepticons, or prepare to be taken by force."
Megatron stood in front of Skyfeather, as she stood between him and the academy.
"My Adsero built this academy from the grounds up with his gestalt. I will not allow you to take that away from him. You'd have to kill me first."
Skyfeather's death marked the start of the Rescue Bot Massacre. The rest of the Alpha teams followed, before the lower bunkers were breached. Anyone who refused to join was slaughtered.
By the dawn of the next day, the remaining Autobot forces on Cybertron finally arrived, communication having been cut during the start of the Massacre. The Wreckers were the first there, being greeted by the blood shed. Any Rescue Team that were not present in the city were hunted in the following cycles. In all, anywhere from 472-714 Rescue Bots and Rescue Bot recruits were slaughtered in this attack.
The only ones left, were a small Sigma ship, floating in stasis in deep space.

Hc + 🤕?
- Pain headcanon 🤕
Due to Soundwave's history as a gladiator, its battle protocol code developed a self protecting quirk: it lessens the pain felt by 80%.
This is to allow itself the ability to push on beyond normal limits. Pain that would normally shut a mech down in the arena and cost them the fight- and potentially their life- is felt a significant degree less by Soundwave.
This quirk can quickly become dangerous, however. Because Soundwave does not process pain the same way, and can easily ignore what it does feel, it must devote a small but significant amount of its attention to its physical system perameters.
If Soundwave ignores the pain, and ignores the read outs, it can quickly veer into territory where its structural integrity is severely compromised and be unable to make the correct battle decisions to defend itself and/or flee.
Unfortunately, Soundwave learned this the hard way in the Pits. It was nearly offlined, but its minicons (Ravage and Laserbeak) proved their smarts and wits, and saved its life.

if its okay, could u explain who’s in Tarns group, who’s in Megatron’s group, and which decepticons are captured and if they are treated Kindly there?
(if u don’t get message i might like resend it just in case because i know you have loads of asks :)
Sure!
In Megatron's group as of right now, there's Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave, Soundwave's cassettes, Starscream's seekers, knockout, breakdown, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Thunderblast, Lockdown, Swindle, Hook, and Blitzwing (before his capture)
(Megaempress and her group are another thing)
The main ones being:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tarn's group isn't really complete yet, so far I only have Tarn and his most trusted sidekick and mad scientist, Arachnid. (I'm still working on that group lmao)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for the Decepticons that were captured,
The only surviving one at the moment is Blitzwing, and he's not doing too well. Sentinel keeps prisoners in a hidden area of cybertron's autobot base, and it's hell in there (kinda like a concentration camp (´;︵;`))
Blitzwing's gets a little help from Bee, an autobot who sneaks in sometimes to give Blitzwing the necessities (like energon/food?) in return for some "truth/stories"

OMG, I’VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE THIS AU FOR A MINUTE—
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meet my Magnificence Reforged AU Connie!
Though Scorponok only ever referred to her as Experiment: A9-2416 (usually in Decepticon dialect).
Her story is that Scorponok created her as an experiment to see what would happen if an organic was able to produce a set of chemicals that are deemed somewhat powerful, yet common, by organic standards but emphasized to a certain degree with the help of Cybertronian technology. Entirely inspired by the mere Earth-Human conceptual myth known as the—
Indomitable Human Spirit.
What Scorponok was able to take away from eight years of properly caring for the experiment is that these chemicals that fuel basic organic functioning can be utilized exponentially to a degree where a full grown one of these things could even rival some of Cybertron’s strongest warriors. Maybe even the galaxy’s toughest warriors wouldn’t be able to stand a chance.
It became labeled as Adrenalineregon.
(dope naming skills I know)
It turned out to be some crazy-powerful stuff once injected into a strong enough specimen.
Now why would Scorponok need to make something like this? Power? Recognition? Fun? All of the above honestly. But it’s also because in this Alternate Universe the Decepticons won the war for Cybertron, and Megatron has already built his perfect Decepticon Army to conquer the rest of the known universe, and he and the Grand Architect thought their Army of Tarn clones needed a little more pep-in-their-step.
You heard me. TARN. CLONE. ARMY.
(this isn’t a specifically cyberverse based timeline I just took the tarn army as inspo)
But what they didn’t expect was for the Tarn clones to go insane and turn on each other when being on mere drops of Adrenalineregon. Resulting in a mass extinction of Tarn Clones, with too many bodies to count, therefore being dropped on top of Scorpnok’s planet sized lab to remind him of the consequences of his actions.
EX: A9-2416 was, at the time, forever curious about the outside world, since she’s never been above the expansive laboratory planet’s surface. It always felt as if some unseen beings were trying to lead her to her escape every day since as long as she can remember. Small sign after small sign, guiding her to even bigger signs that kept getting her closer and closer to the way out. Of course, Scorponok always stopped her from getting too close.
A9-2416 always hated the amount of gruesome tests she had to do afterwards as punishment for misbehaving.
Until on her ninth birthday, A9-2416 finally made it to the exit, and Scorponok got exceptionally pissed off so much that in self-defense A9-2416 grabbed the nearest cannon she knew how to operate and blasted it through his spark. She cried a lot that day.
BUT HEY! Her life didn’t stay too depressing for long, because soon after she committed her very first act of murder, she became good buddies with the little voices in the walls that have been apparently guiding her throughout her life!
THE LOSTBOT BOTBOTS!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(lol I’m nowhere near finished with every Lost Bot design, I just wanted to finish these couple few and make this post for the AU)
MEET THE LOST BOTS CLAN OF THE BOTBOTS!
They’ve been trapped on Scorponok’s Lab-planet-tory (im so funny) for decades along with the other Botbots who remained in hiding. But this clan was the only one brave enough to get anywhere near Scorponok’s main stomping grounds. What they didn’t expect to find was some weird sentient purple meat-potato in a makeshift industrial cradle. Turns out it was just a baby. And that baby turned out to be A9-2416. Who soon became known as Connie.
.
.
.
After A9-2416 escaped the inner dwellings of the lab and joined the Lost Bots on their little side quests up on the surface, she later changed her name to Constance, hence her more well-known nickname being Connie. The name change was suggested by her Botbot friends who knew a bit about Earth human culture and used their knowledge to help Connie have the most happy and carefree life that she could ask for.
.
.
.
Also the TEG Lost Light crew is there because I’m still obsessed with that fic 👍✨

The Grim Dark Archives: Statement #005 Named Cybertronians
[Statement taken from [Redacted] on [Redacted: Sensitive data] regarding known Cybertronians. They were asked to elaborate on the Cybertronians that have been recorded as being present on Earth after the alien known as Cliffjumper was killed in action. We know very little about the event, but supposedly Cliffjumper was deployed to search for Decepticon activity.
According to the report given to us by Optimus Prime, Cliffjumper found where Decepticon agents were mining energon and promptly initiated combat. This resulted in his capture by the Decepticons, and although a corpse has yet to be recovered, the Autobots reported that his vitals flatlined.
High command saw fit to use [Redacted]'s knowledge to try and gain an understanding of just how many aliens we could possibly be dealing with in the near future. Thankfully [Redacted] was more than willing to speak on the matter and has already expressed an interest on elaborating more on certain individuals.
Statement begins.]
══════════════════
Oh this is the kind of question I will gladly answer. Collecting data on people, organizations, a various beliefs is my specialty. Now, since you are already familiar with the Autobots, I shall begin with them.
Let's start with the two wheeler. Her designation is Arcee, as you know. She is of a small sub-class of Cybertronians known as 'femmes' and well known for her abilities. Let me warn you now, femmes are some of the most terrifying Cybertronians out there, and not for the reason you may think. They may be small and seem feminine to you organics, but our femmes are built with strange and unique abilities alongside their differing processing methods. I will go more in depth regarding Cybertronian femmes a bit later. For now, all you need to know is that they latch onto the mentally or physically weak amongst our kind. And at that point, they claim the mech in question and slowly prepare to use their ability and... improve them.
Don't question it right now. There will be time for explanations later. For now, we are doing an overview aren't we? Anyway, her records do not go back to before the war, but personal investigation leads me to believe that she likely worked for the High Council in some capacity. She has ties to the Primacy but largely sticks with the Prime because he likes having a femme around to throw at enemies. Femmes are vicious creatures. Honestly considering how much Arcee liked him, Cliffjumper was a dead mech walking anyway. He's lucky to have been killed by the enemy rather than face the fate of those chosen by femmes. I've been the subject of a femme's interest once. I barely made it out alive. Thank Primus the Archives took me before she did.
Cliffjumper is rather irrelevant now, but I will go over him anyway in case he somehow manages to walk off whatever the Decepticons did to him. He actually doesn't have a ton on his record. He was a regular recruit, one recorded signing on sometime around the height of the war when factions had to be picked. There was nothing out of the ordinary about him, and in fact, he fell below average strength levels for most soldiers. That is probably what got Arcee interested in him. Poor mech came from one of the outer cities and probably didn't know what in the pits a femme even was. Its unfortunate that he's dead, but I honestly do think it was likely in his best interest. He would have dealt with so much suffering otherwise.
May he rest at peace as one with the Allspark.
Next up is Bulkhead. You know? The one who beat me into scrap? Don't play stupid. I am no fool. I am well aware you saw that footage. We will be discussing that later. Now about him, he is a Wrecker. His augmentations are specifically made by Wreckers for Wreckers and he will die for the organization. All those who join the Wreckers are bound to them forever. There simply is no escape once the augmentations are finished. Most don't want to leave, and Bulkhead falls into that category. I can go into more depth about the Wreckers and their... beliefs, a bit later. At the moment, let it be known that he does not give a flying frag about you squishies. He follows the creed of his kind and thankfully for all of you, that creed does not permit unnecessary damage to native lifeforms of foreign worlds. Last I checked, he serves the Prime because that is part of his duty and Prime gave him the means to deal with a grudge of his. He has a personal investment here on Earth because he heard that there was a rouge Wrecker here somewhere.
No I will not elaborate right now. You lot need to be paying close attention to what comes next, so I will not linger on topics at the moment.
Ratchet is the resident medic. I believe I have expressed my fears before, but seriously, medics are DANGEROUS. I cannot emphasize that enough. The insane fraggers hyperfocus on one field and one faction and they stick to it like glue. They cling to their alliances and progeny like a parasite and will fight and even maim one another over patients. Ratchet is one of the best and worst medics I have ever encountered. His genius is legendary and he is one of the few who have ever been able to absorb all medical knowledge without focusing too hard on any particular field or falling to medical madness. Yes that is a real issue amongst my kind.
He also is not quite as insane as the others because of his upbringing out in the middle of nowhere during the age before the Quintessons came. But with that said, his motives are dubious at best. He is loyal to the Prime alone and would gladly frag over anyone who is not a medic or an Autobot. He also is not fond of you fleshies, but he does his job and should probably not be too bad so long as you don't catch his interest. Honestly getting the interest of any of my kind is a bad idea, so I suggest just not doing that. Medics in particular have one pit of a subculture that makes them a pain in the aft to understand, even for the average Cybertronian.
Now, moving on from the mad medic, Bumblebee is the team scout, and for good reason. He is totally unaugmented. He has no attachments whatsoever. No commlink, no programming, no battle codes, no inbuilt weapons, no specializations, nothing at all. He is practically a civilian and has to work himself half to death just to keep up with the rest of our kind who get augments nearly the moment they are old enough to handle them. If you are looking for the safest Autobot, you will find it in him. He is still one of my kind, but possess a great ability to empathize, or at least offer aid without expecting something in return. He never got any alteration programming, which may explain his more reasonable disposition. But of course, there is a reason for that.
I will not go into detail right now, but Bumblebee is kept from receiving augments on purpose. It is easier for mecha without augments to receive the Matrix of leadership and live reasonable lives under its control. Optimus is by no means loving, but he cares for what he sees as his. Bumblebee is being trained to be physically stronger than the others and mentally hardened so that he can bear the burden should Optimus fall. Either that, or he is being prepared to carry the weight of our people's history if another is found more suitable. The Prime is currently a walking databank for all of Cybertronian knowledge. One way or another, Bumblebee will carry the weight of one station, be it that of the Archive or the Matrix. He cannot escape, but it does not seem like he wishes to. He is loyal to his Sire and to the cause after all.
As for Optimus Prime himself? He is a whole series of statements on his own. To give you the thousand mile high overview, he was originally a dock worker. He was normal, much like Bumblebee. He had the attention of a femme, but he seemed to have a reasonable lifespan on him regardless of that fact. Then the Archive took him, and there he became one of theirs. He was one of the many sets of optics and frames which belonged to the Archive. And yet, he took interest in Megatronus, the leader of the Decepticons. Orion Pax, as was his name at the time, had his reasons for being involved. However through a series of accidents, he found himself being prepped for war. He was offered as a sacrifice, and the last resort relic that is the Matrix of Leadership was given to him. Since then he has led the war and done everything in his power to take what he sees as his.
He is a master at manipulation and adaptation. He can and will find information on every subject and devour it like a starving mech. If he finds you interesting, he will tear you apart to gain every last fact and iota of information. There is no escape from him, and until he gets what he wants, he will not allow anyone to stand in his way. His goals are complex, and even I do not fully understand. But he fights all the same and will kill you regardless. Be wary of him. He is by far the most dangerous simply because he has lived so long.
Primes do not last longer than a few millennia. And yet Optimus has lived for over four million years. That should be a sign that he's clever and has ways to bypass what we have always assumed was a death sentence.
For the Decepticons, there have only been three confirmed units and one unconfirmed thus far. I will explain any others as they become relevant. To begin, there is Starscream, the Lord of Vos. He is a seeker, a subsection of flight class Cybertronians that do not fall in line with normal standards. Seekers were complete isolationists before the war, even going so far as to have their own ever moving city, language, and culture. They do not use modern technology, they do not worship Primus, and their rituals are savage even by Cybertronian standards. I will go into more depth on them later, but for the time being, just know that Starscream being the Lord of Vos essentially puts him in the position of Shaman for his kind. He is a follower of nature and seeks to keep things in balance while remaining faithful to his culture. Due to how little is known about Vosian culture and Seekers as a whole, he is unpredictable. His motives are almost entirely impossible to figure out and he will fight in the way of the ancients. By all accounts the Seekers should have been wiped out eons ago, but their methods are... surprisingly effective.
Cunning and strange, Starscream's methods are unorthodox and his loyalty is all but void. He serves whatever it is he worships, his people, and himself. That is all. He has no mortals or ethics even amongst our rather loose ones. The only benefit you humans will find in his nature is that he is not fond of killing without reason and likely will leave you alone if you don't bother him. But of course he is a spontaneous mech and could just as easily turn up in the dead of night and slaughter you all will no explanation. Leave him be, that is my suggestion.
Soundwave is Megatron's second in command, at least behind the scenes. He joined up with the Decepticons long before they were official and knows more than I care to bother explaining. Not a spark actually knows what he is, but him and others like him, such. as the Autobot Blaster, have an ability that gives them an edge. He is able to house symbiotes, beings that I have no real clue where they come from. Soundwave and those like him are recorded appearing out of the blue randomly only to then latch onto mecha of interest in a manner like femmes. Those mecha proceed to live out their lives normally, but usually just before death, Soundwave and his kind will drag them off never to be seen again. Within a few vorns, a new symbiote can be noted running around. I hypothesize that whatever is done to the dying plays a role in the creation of symbiotes, but I do not have enough information. Soundwave serves Megatron, that is what matters.
He can get into just about anything and very little is known about him as a whole. No known motives, no known origin, no known anything really. He is a stranger who appeared in the pits alongside Megatron and simply never went away. Keep clear of him if you can. He is a mech that even the average Cybertronian tries to steer away from.
Vehicons are clone soldiers that might as well be civilians with toy blasters attached to them. They are normal mecha who are held together by some grand communication array that I am not familiar with. They are mass produced, hold very little value, and oftentimes do not have much personality aside from the one that they all share. They work without question and die in droves before being promptly replaced. Honestly your biggest concern is possibly being stepped on. The Vehicons are untrained newsparks at worst and competent but low level ground units at best. Until they develop more as individuals, they are not too great a threat save for when they are sent out in waves.
Lastly there is Megatron, currently MIA Lord of the Decepticons. He came from the mines of Kaon and somehow managed to work past the slave coding installed in him long enough to simply wander out of the pits. He was a scumbag in the redlight district for a while before spontaneously ending up in the pits as a Gladiator. There he gained a following and did his best to fight for his cause before ultimately turning to war to make things more faster. This backfired horribly if you can't tell. Now he is a mech who seems lost more often than not. He has been noted having patchy memory, more so after every interaction with Optimus Prime. He is only as cruel as was normal in the redlight district and his most concerning trait is his astounding lack of care for anything orderly or organic. He hates programing or augmentation and only tolerates it in his soldiers to win. Augments enrage him to such an extent that he has been noted acting out of normal parameters in response to heavily altered individuals. He wants chaos, that is what you need to know.
If he thinks it would further his ends, he would gladly wipe this planet off the map. However he does nothing without reason, and so unless you garner his attention, you should be fine. Stay away from him, don't mention anything related to the Archive or the Matrix, and all should be well... for the most part.
I can tell you more later, but for now, you best keep your organic optics on the happenings going on. If Cliffjumper is dead, it means there is a very real chance things are going to spiral and do so fast.

[Statement end.
The timestamps have been removed from these reports in response to [Redacted]'s information on the Cybertronian known as Soundwave. What information we have is critical for our survival, and we simply cannot risk it being destroyed even if the alien able to do so with ease likely won't ever bother to damage our files.
We expect [Redacted] to be giving us much more data soon, especially since they have begun to warm up to me and my fellow agents since their repairs were completed. They have also requested to be referred to by masculine pronouns, perhaps as a sign of trust? Whatever the case, we are making progress. Hopefully we will have a reasonable way to fight back against the aliens soon, at least if their guns settle on us.
Agent Witwicky signing off.

hey! It's me Keef-draws, I noticed that you tagged my reblog blog instead of my main...Anyway question for the cassettes! It's late, but still question for them!
Who do they trust other than the bot who raised them? And who would they turn to for help? 🤔
Believe me when I say that the cassettes all have trust issues except for their moms, but that doesn't mean they don't have that one person that they would ALWAYS turn to when they need to-
P.S.: I didn't know you changed your username, so I tagged your other blog, sorry-
Rumble's choice: Papa Shockwave
Why: He took care of him when he was sick one time. Mama Soundwave was sadly on a mission
Tumblr media
Frenzy's choice: Auntie Illusion
Why: She doesn't tell Soundwave what she's scemming behind his back. Frenzy thinks she's also cool
Tumblr media
Last but not least, Hazard.
Hazard's choice: Uncle Megatron
Why: She's her biggest fan. Also, he was the one who introduced her to Illusion when he found her on the streets of Kaon. Hazard owes her online to him

To my friend: @kiyuu-draws
