We took a lil detour on our way to see "Barbenheimer" to go see the apparently controversial movie Sound of Freedom staring Jesus himself Jim Caviezel another great movie I seen with him is Outlander from 2008 If you haven't seen that you should! but anyway about this movie. I was hearing alot of things about this online people saying to see it and people saying not to becasue it is apparently all lies. There is a huge controversy about it online and I personally do like controversial things so I wanted to see it and see why it was controversial and a wise man once said "Controversy Creates Cash" lol

so we sent to see it and I thought it was a great movie. Its a great I'd say action/drama/thriller and in a certain way it is a horror movie as well becasue I think it is all in how you look at it.

It is based on a "true story" and the career of a US Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard (played Jim Caviezel) who hunts down pedophiles and catches one guy that leads him to a ring of child sex traffickers and he with the help of some others sets out on a mission to rescue hundreds of kids especially a young brother and sister who were taken through a fake modeling/talent agency.

I don't know how much of this story is real but I know alot of the topics and events shown in the movie are real and do happen, like the fake modeling/talent agency thing and very bad people just grabbing kids off the street and selling them into sex slavery and all that, the human trafficking thing and all that I know it is all true! I have seen documentarys about stuff like that and know it is true and very scary.

but personally I don't know why the movie is controversial? I can see the subject matter being a bit touchy and shocking to some but I also think it is a very powerful poignant movie and a movie that should be watched being it brings awareness to a very serious topic and it does it in away that is not preachy but is done in a guise of like a crime thriller.

The closes thing I can related this to would be the 1999 Nicolas Cage movie 8MM (if you haven't seen that you should!) I know people wold probably relate it to like Liam Neeson's Taken but I don't think it is the same as that I think it is more closer to 8mm in its more disturbing nature.

Now personally I thought it was great movie. Its a great action crime thriller and I felt that it was well acted,filmed and written. Like I said I thought it was a great movie and if you are interested in seeing what it is all about then I would suggest giving it a watch. Now the subject matter could be a bit upsetting and dark for some people so be forewarned about it but like I said Its a great action crime thriller

Also there is a lil thing during the credits I don't want to say it is a Marvel style "Mid Credits" scene but this is a thing where Jim Caviezel talks about the movie for a few minutes as the credits roll

Killa K: What “realities” does the film expose? It’s based on a true story that was widely reported in the media when it originally happened, and most of the film takes place in Central and South America, a place that the target audience has little-to-no sympathy for when they come to the States to seek asylum.

MrPuzzles: Except it isn’t. There’s technically nothing wrong with the film. It’s based on facts, it tells its story competently, and it doesn’t beat you over the head with it. That’s really all you can expect out of a dramatized biopic. And, hell, there really isn’t even any kind of hard right message behind it either. It doesn’t even meet the basic definition of a propaganda film. It’s just the circumstances surrounding, and the sort of people selling the film. This film is now a hardline conservative symbol. It’s really no different than when the Nazis took the swastika as their own and basically ruined it forever. Cultural and factual appropriation is, after all, a time-honored fascist tradition. If anything, it really sucks that hundreds of people who likely worked hard on this now have to completely distance themselves from it. I know for a fact if I made something that fucking Trump claimed as his own, I wouldn’t be putting that shit on my resume.

I haven't seen it yet. (I know, I know, I should've seen it in theaters.) So I don't have any thoughts! But everyone I know who saw it said it was excellent. Also, a lot of the "professionals" I listen to have sung its praises.

There are some people who call it bad. But as far as I can tell, it's because they associate the movie with a political party that they don't subscribe to, which is a stupid reason to dislike a movie that's calling out child sex trafficking. But that's just as far as I can tell without watching it.

I just saw The Sound of Freedom, and honestly, we should live in a world where this movie doesn't have to exist, but here we are.

The film itself was amazing, it dealt very well with the horrific issue that is child trafficking; bringing it to light without exploiting the child actors involved (unlike Netflix's Cuties).

I LOVED the cast! So many amazing hispanic actors playing protagonists and antagonists alike! And I really liked all the subtitled Spanish conversations in the movie. Jim Caviezel's stilted accent came off as very endearing, especially as he was such an empathetic character.

I definitely recommend this film to anyone and everyone, regardless of your political party. Left or right, we can all agree that human trafficking has to be stopped.

El Sonido de la libertad se ha convertido en la película del momento. Protagonizada por Jim Caviezel, nos sumerge en una historia real que aborda el oscuro mundo de la trata de menores en Colombia. La trama sigue a Tim Ballard, un agente del gobierno que, tras retirarse, se dedica a rescatar a niños secuestrados. Sin embargo, todo cambia cuando una niña le pide que encuentre a su hermana menor, también víctima de secuestro.

La película aborda un tema sensible y crucial, llamando la atención sobre el problema global de la trata de menores. La historia conmueve y nos confronta con la realidad desgarradora que enfrentan muchos niños en todo el mundo. Es un recordatorio poderoso de la importancia de luchar contra esta injusticia y proteger a los más vulnerables.

Es una película que nos recuerda que existe mucha gente mala en este mundo, sin la capacidad de razonar sobre las cosas que hacen y que cometen, este tipo de personas no valoran su vida ni la de las demás personas, agarran a criaturas inocentes que recién comienzan una nueva etapa en este mundo, siendo víctimas de engaños persuasivos, con el fin de abusar de ellos, para luego lamentablemente adquirir dinero por el tráfico de sus órganos.

Este es un tema altamente delicado y preocupante, y es importante abordarlo con sensibilidad y precisión, ya que una cosa es la pedofilia (la atracción sexual por menores de edad) y otra, el abuso sexual infantil (llevado a cabo, en la mayoría de los casos, por familiares y allegados al menor, más que por desconocidos).
