Battle-hardened though Meteor may be, his knowledge of curative magicks is shockingly unimpressive given all his experiences, and all the cuts and scrapes he's sustained throughout. A lack of knowledge that he'd largely attribute to his overreliance on the Echo's regenerative abilities, and the chirugeons and healers that attended to his wounds when that alone wasn't enough. In other words, there had never been any need to learn anything beyond basic first aid... at least until now, when the mark they were hunting dug an ugly gash into Granson while the both of them weren't paying attention.

If only he could inherit Fray's inherent talent for healing, he thought. Yet he knew the Fray residing within his soul was not the talented white mage that grew up with Sidurgu Orl, but a shadow of him that remained with his soulstone; a memory of a memory. The advice his other self gave him could only be what he himself already knew: use what potions and supplies they traveled with to do what they can. Apply pressure to the wound to staunch the bleeding, wrap it securely with the bandages, then let the tinctures foot the rest of the work until a proper healer came by to help.

"There. Hope that's not too tight." There's an apologetic glance from him as he finishes tying up the bandages. He's definitely not well-versed enough to take care of other people, if Granson's wincing is anything, and an answering stab of guilt draws a deeper frown from his lips. But the red blooming from his wound doesn't entirely soak the coarse fabric wrapped around it, and he supposed that was sign enough that he did a decent enough job, Meteor thinks grimly.

"I suppose I should thank you for saving me, even if it means playing nurse now." comes Granson's terse reply, and now Meteor is frowning for an entirely different reason. He doesn't miss the self-deprecation in his words, the implications of him being a burden, and something about it rattles him. He could never be a bother to Meteor. Not him, not when he liked his company this much.

"Hey, don't say that. I don't mind... it's more important to me that you're alright." Gods forbid if he was any slower-- he's had enough people he's loved die in front of his eyes as it is. Perhaps he can take solace that his friend is still here to grouch about the situation then, and he offers a little smile, patting his shoulder.

"Besides, playing nurse means I have an excuse to spend more time with you, right? A less dangerous one than hunting fell beasts, anyroad. I'm not the best nurse, but I'm a great cook, so you'll at least have good food while you recover." He jostles him lightly. "What say you?"

He was always a target for events going sour, wasn't he?

The long and arduous trail that had been left behind a missing shipment that ought have reached the Parrock some days prior had, eventually, lead to what he had assumed to have been a civilian attempting to earn themselves some extra Gil.

Bravado had lead Leofard to travel alone; his journey to Limsa Lominsa entirely uneventful but once pacing the city proper did he come to realise that the fellow in question was not a civilian under the beck and call of a thieving bastard, but instead a Yellowjacket.

Posed upon a crossroads, Leofard was met with the decision to either head homeward and get some backup ere approaching, or he could just throw himself into the situation entirely and not take a blow to his ego.

Choosing the latter, his confrontation came swiftly - -usual cockiness leading his accusations. He'd not betted on the scoundrel being backed up by his equally corrupt surrounding fellows - yellow appearing to draw out of the very stone and woodwork around them.

With all turning sour, swiftly, his consciousness turned quite immediately to an escape plan; already was the captain in far too deep to simply walk off and thus a plan was needed.

Stacia was never going to let him live this down-

A few booted steps were taken backwards, a grin growing across his expression and with immense swiftness did he grab a passer-by by the scruff of his neck and drew his weapon to press to his temple. Hostage taking wasn't usually his style - but desperate situations begged for new attempts and so Leofard stuck to his guns.

"Y' gonna let me go or babyface here'll become compost."

Peace surrounds the early morning, the softened fall of snow accompanying the seated poet, perched comfortably 'pon a low wall near to the Cathedral. There is comfort to be found in the near silence, streets void of most folk for as of yet was it too early for many to rise.

Ice shined 'pon cobblestones and paving, its beauteous sheen reflecting the clouded heavens above as the light of day began to sneak over the horizon, breaking through clouds. Serenity shrouded the poet, notebook all but forgotten in favour of allowing thoughts to wonder, to slink through hopes and dreams, of fears - And while doing so did pale eyes continue to survey all just in case he may find some inspiration.

When his pale gaze returns to the cathedral, however, he is met with the sight of his older Brother emerging; likely ending his night shift within the ward. He thought, for a moment, that he might stand and go and greet him but those ideas perished almost as soon as they were conceived.

Guerrique did not emerge from the Cathedral entirely alone. No, Ser Charibert followed swiftly behind, locked in conversation - and there was not a bone in Cyvel's body that wanted to be anywhere near the man; there was simply something about him that made him entirely uneasy. Perhaps it was that look in his eyes, perhaps it was some of the comments the younger Montrohain had overheard at times that set him nervous.

He continued to watch, as curious as he was idle, as his brother and his companion reached the bottom of the steps only to turn their gaze back up and Cyvel's own, too, followed. Ser Zephirin. He was calling something down to them, something the poet coudn't quite make out, but he paid it too little attention to even try.

No, he was far too preoccupied by the sinking of his heart into the empty pits of his churning stomach. A longing had long settled beneath Cyvel's skin, a want that simply couldn't be quelled, constantly denied and buried ever deeper into the sealed chambers of his heart.

Only once or twice had he let affectionate words slip while in the Archimandrite's company, only once or twice had he had to scold himself in real time for what he had uttered - - but he could remember those passing moments with such immense clarity that it nigh made him nauseous.

Perhaps if things had worked out differently, he thought; mind trailing through harmful wants and what-ifs without his consciousness allowing it; always did it slip through, unchallenged, and far sooner than he would have liked did he find his heart aching ever more. What if Zephirin had been sealed to the fate of Lord Commander, instead-? Would he have ever had a chance at-

No. He stops himself, swallows thickly and finally manages to straighten himself up, forcing his shoulders back. Eyes forcefully returned to Guerrique, his pacing in the opposite direction clearly a sign that whatever their conversation was, it had ceased; and with one last glance towards Zephirin - of whom glanced in Cyvel's very own direction - does he offer a timid and friendly wave and quietly watches him disappear back inside.

Favorite book?: Setting aside the fact I haven't read any books these past few years other than those I had to read for uni. (I'm just not a big book reader, shocking I know.) I still really like "The Messenger" by Markus Zusak which I first read when I was in high school.

Do you have a 'prized possession'?: I still have a stuffed animal, a cat, which I was given for my first ever day at school, at this point it has such a high sentimental value I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. Another thing of more material value I guess would be my FFXIV artbooks. I just love those and I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the FFXVI one, too.

Dream job: At this point, anything that allows me to work from home and leaves me with enough energy to focus on my hobbies once the workday is done. I know strong ambitions. lol.

Tea or coffee?: Since the exam period started it's been coffee again, before that matcha latte.

Hobbies: drawing, cosplay, writing (duh!) and I really like to go swimming when I have the time to do so.

Who is your most active muse: Hands down, Clive right now. Closely followed by Sasha from the Resident Evil fandom over on @aureatescars. Before that it was Thancred over on my multimuse @soulsalight I still love and write him, but he's been more quiet lately, as are the other muses on my multi.

Significance behind your url?: Pretty simple, really. Clive was chosen by a second dominant of fire, hence the second flame.

He wasn't stupid enough to speak of such sensitive subjects aloud, and most certainly not with someone of whom he did not know. His secretive matter with Zephirin was precisely that; secretive, and he wasn't about to potentially jeopardize it by getting sentimental with a stranger.

The subject does give him pause however, the honeyed tone of his eyes trained upon the steam rising from the mug of dark coffee before him. Sleeping aside the archimandrite almost certainly allowed for a good nights sleep, of that much he knew- the feeling of being comforted and settled unlike any other he could think of.

Did Zephirin snore? If he did, Guerrique had never heard it; did he fidget? Sometimes, if he was getting cold; steal the covers? Sometimes, too- though, Guerrique tried, always in his sleep addled state, to keep him wrapped up and tucked close so that both blanket and body heat would keep the chill aside.

It had been a little while since the two had lay aside one another, however- work and requests from the upper clergy and the Archbishop himself increasing in number and magnitude each and every passing day. All of them, each and every one of his brothers in arms, were busy in preparation for the future - - and with such thoughts did the marauder's stomach churn, did his mind run away from him.

In silence, as the cup is raised to his lips, does he linger his thoughts upon his superior, of how he missed him - quietly, secretly - and hoped, in the coming days that they would share some time together ere the nature of their destiny came to be.

One could hope.

these are mostly guidelines I guess and might occasionally be expanded as I think of things, though there shouldn’t be anything major. I’d like to think I’m a chill person to write with. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and we can talk things through.

I. The usual applies. basic roleplay ettiquette. don’t take control of my character unless we plotted something out beforehand. don’t be a prick in general and we’re good.

II. Another basic thing you’ve probably read before: I’m over 21 years old and will not write smut with minors. nsfw and other mature content will occur on my blog and will be tagged as nsfw.

III. I have written Biggs before, way back when the remake was first announced, but I am only now returning to the FF7 fandom and I haven't played Rebirth yet, so my portrayal may be a bit out of sync with what is told to us in canon. In general i have about 10 years or so of roleplay experience. I have also written a bunch of other Final Fantasy muses before, some of them stil have active blogs: @soulsalight @secondflame @darksteelreign

IV. Just as a disclaimer: English is not my first language, so feel free to point out any spelling or grammar mistakes if you find them.

V. Feel free to poke me about replies every now and again if I owe you, but know that I am a student at university and I also work 20h a week to pay the bills and such.

VI. I will only write threads with mutuals, (follows back from @soulsalight) and I am very selective with which threads I pour what little free time I do have into, but my ask is also open to any asks in general, they just most likely won’t turn into a thread if we’re not mutuals. Starter calls are for mutuals only.

VII. Concerning ships: I must admit that I am mad down to ship romantically, a shipping-whore if you will, but I must also warn you that shipping with me tends to involve lots of angst and also lots of big elaborate plots where our muses struggle to find their way to eachother.

VIII. rp memes do not have an expiration date. I’ll tag them ‘rpmemes’ and anything filed under that tag is fair game to be send in at any point in time.

IX. I am not currently looking for crossover threads with other franchises and would rather keep to writing with characters from FF7 and the Remake. I might branch out to other FF verses in the future.

They were supposed to be laying low, acting like they didn't know one another in the hopes of being able to rest and relax just for a short time, while rains outdoors hammered down. Leofard was doing just that, keeping his hands resting around his mug of piss-poor coffee, eyes trained unto his boots outstretched before him. He'd have considered all going rather well until he happened to look up and immediately espy his company.

The wink he received almost felt akin to a taunt, a challenge - in a way - to see just what they could get up to from across the room ere they were figured out.

His smirk was momentarily obstructed by the mug raising to his lips, one that was forcefully removed as he set it back down into the uneven surface of the table to his side. Instead, he twirls a lock of hair around a finger and rather playfully winked back.
