During a drought in 1873, a #Pawnee group went to hunt buffalo. On their way back, Sioux agents of the US government massacred over 150 Pawnee men, women, and children. The 800 buffalo killed on the hunt-what many Pawnees would have survived on that year-were piled up and burned. The next month, the Pawnee leader Big Spotted Horse (pictured above) decided to bring Pawnees to Oklahoma.

Sam and Dean never finding a case in the big American cities is so funny to me
Like, what do you mean???
How come they never found a wendigo living in the abandoned subway stations in nyc
Are you telling me there were no vampires partying and drinking blood at midnight raves and clubs in Los Angeles
What do you mean they never found a siren feasting on college students in spring break in Miami , Florida
Are you saying there were never any kids going missing in Austin that turned out to be the La Llorona
How come all the monsters stuck to rural Midwest towns with stupid white men as Sherrif???

This is extremely off topic but I have to do it on here for reasons:
If we're interpreting Land Back the way Zionists / Professor Flowers do, who TF gets the Great Lakes?
I know they don't actually care BUT this keeps me up at night.

Shout out to my brain for convincing me that I'm still missing something in regards to preparing myself to start my new job next Monday, despite the fact that I've read a million "prepare yourself for work" articles and listicles and I have either everything already prepared or at least a plan to prepare that thing this week.
Its like when you're going on holiday and your brain is like "well what if you shit yourself every single day?? What if you pee yourself every five minutes even though you've never struggled with that at home?" Except it's my brain going "hey what happens if they expect you to bring your own phone headset?" Like???? They explicitly DONT, they have TOLD ME WHAT THEY EXPECT OF ME, can we STOP WORRYING OH MY GOD!???
#it doesnt help that the psych i found a couple weeks ago did NOT gel with me so im also on a psych hunt#which is now on pause til the new year because Im about to work 9-5 for five days a week for the first time since 2019#im not going to have TIME for therapy#im gonna maybe go do some helpful chores to shut my brain up and then play minecraft#which is not helpful because going to my partners therapy sessions has started helping me unmask#so its like im this banana thats been half peeled because oh! we were gonna start to make banana bread! (a metaphor here for therapy)#but then Ive realised I actually don't have the time or money or energy to make banana bread (do therapy) so ive had to just???#duct tape that unpeeled banana back together again#and the skin doesnt quite fit back properly so the flesh is poking through the holes and those exposed places are REALLY easy to damage#which like i know logically will be better in the long run for my banana bread but i have no sort of kitchen support at all#like the souix chef has fucked off the garbage boy never showed up for his shift the gravy kitchen hasnt worked in months#and the patisserie chef is way too distracted making eclairs out of chocolate laxatives to help with the fucking banana bread#anyway ive lost control of this metaphor which is actually a hilarious metaphor for my life and how im feeling about it right now#fingers crossed something comes of eventually getting on some sort of medication to help my brain because this genuinely isnt sustainable#especially with my brain going huurrr bdurr youre struggling??? heres a great way to regulate! *jazz hands* harm urself!!!!!#like fuck off kevin we both know thats not even remotely going to help#le sigh#okay thanks for reading if you got this far#im okay im fine im safe im just venting my feelings because journalling Just Wasnt EnoughTM this time#personal#raven rambles#work vent#mental health

Maca is a Coyote shaman of Lakota descent, and he works with Badger, a human razorboy.
Maca is like 6' 3" and Badger is 5' 5".
They work out of the Souix Nation and take care of business.
Badgers and coyotes hunt together. It's a thing. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service explains that “studies have shown that this unusual relationship is beneficial for both species. The coyote can chase down prey if it runs and the badger can dig after prey if it heads underground into its burrow systems.”

Oh.... Sam's worry that no one is going to be okay in (5.15). The stare he gives Dean when Dean reacts to the knowledge that Death has been to Souix Falls with obvious overwhelming stress, rubbing his forehead in exhaustion and saying, "It must be Thursday." The way Sam pushes Jody to fight past the trauma of her dead husband and zombie son who needs to be dispensed with and focus on the town. The way he asks her at the end of the episode how she's holding up and she just gives him a haunted look. The way Sam asks Bobby twice in a row at the end of the episode if he's going to be okay, and Bobby doesn't respond. Gives Sam a haunted look of his own in the end.

yes!! treaty 9 Cree 🖤 and AHHHH that's amazing!!! i'm really stoked about this because i haven't met any other native writers on tumblr—almost everyone i know involved in fandom to some degree has been through twitter (but to be fair, i much prefer posting more personal stuff/non-fic or fandom related things there than on tumblr, so that's probs why). but getting this is really exciting!!
