they didn't mean to go swimming, but puppy made the decision for them. :) kazuichi can not get over the way it starts to swim before it hits the water. gundham just wants him to stop toying with the poor thing. (puppy is having a wonderful time, dw.)

Tentatively, he reached into the cage, his index finger curled around his thumb. He took a deep breath, moving as slowly as he could so he wouldn’t spook the animal. Before he was even close enough to sniff, the hedgehog buried its face in the ground. Where its nose had once almost been pointed at Kazuichi’s finger, a cluster of spines were now brandished. Kazuichi sighed. “Come on, little guy.” He inched his hand a touch closer. “My boyfriend says I’m like you. So could you just be a little more brave?”
