Haha, thank you. Here are some little short moments under the cut, with a bonus Morgan moment. Cade is the default name for MC 😊

I'd say the royal court doesn't know the details of the whole arrangement, but Morgan isn't exactly subtle with their flirtations.

Taryn

Taryn watches from the shadows of the training yard, arms crossed, trying to keep their usual smirk intact as Morgan brushes a hand over Cade’s shoulder, leaning in close to whisper something only they can hear. “Oh, that’s cute,” Taryn mutters to themselves, though their grip tightens on the wooden sword in their hand. “Really. Fantastic.” They laugh a little too loudly when Cade catches their eye later, trying to mask the sharp sting in their chest. "Careful there, your new 'study buddy' might not approve of you sparring with me. Wouldn't want you distracted while you’re taking all those… lessons." They try to play it off as a joke, but their tone bites harder than they intended.

Lirien

Lirien stands at the edge of the council chamber, watching Morgan and Cade disappear through the doors, the air between them heavy with unspoken understanding. He's seen that kind of closeness before—felt it once, long ago. His smile remains polished, though the corners of his mouth tug downward as he turns back to his notes. "Curious," they murmur under their breath. "Though I wonder… how much of the heart can one give before it’s too late to take it back?" Later, when Cade approaches them, Lirien’s voice is as warm as always, but his words come slower, more deliberate. “You should be careful, you know. With Morgan. Nothing worth having comes without cost.”

Rhiannon

Rhiannon nearly crushes the mug of ale in her hand when someone at the tavern mentions seeing Cade and Morgan leaving the library together—again. She doesn’t mean to glare, but by the time Cade sits down across from her, her scowl is fully set. “So,” she starts, voice low and cutting as she sizes them up, “you and Morgan, huh? That’s cute. Real cute.” She drains the rest of her drink and slams it on the table. "Guess I don’t have to worry about you being distracted during training anymore. Not when she’s keeping you so busy." She storms off before they can reply, her chest tight and her cheeks burning. The next day, her punches are sharper, her sword hits harder, and every "yield" she snarls at Cade feels like a battle she’s losing.

Ali(ster/sta)

Ali spots Morgan leaning against Cade in the corner of the library. It’s a casual touch, but the way Morgan’s fingers linger on Cade’s wrist makes Ali’s heart sink. Their book slips from their hands, landing with a loud thud. Morgan looks up and smirks. Cade, oblivious as always, waves Ali over. "Ali! Perfect timing. I was just—" “Oh, no, sorry,” Ali cuts them off softly, their voice strained but polite. “Didn’t mean to interrupt. You… look busy.” They turn quickly, retreating to a quiet corner where they can press their forehead against the cool stone wall. That night, Ali writes about unrequited love in the margins of their notebook, trying not to cry when they cross the words out. “It’s fine,” they whisper to themselves. “They deserve to be happy. Even if it’s not… me.”

Morgan

Morgan watches the others, her sharp eyes catching every glance, every subtle wince whenever Cade’s name comes up. She doesn’t need to guess what’s on their minds—it’s written all over their faces. “Idiots,” she mutters under her breath. “The lot of them.” When Cade walks in later, Morgan tilts her head and grins. "You’re a popular one, you know that Squire? Breaking hearts left and right without even trying. Honestly, it’s impressive." She keeps her tone teasing, but there’s a flicker of something in her eyes when Cade laughs. She doesn’t let it linger—can’t let it linger. “You better make your move before someone does it for you, sweetheart. You wouldn’t want to miss out… would you?”

Kon El: You may come with me if you like, though I wish you'd asked for some other reward for having freed me.

Billy Batson: Well, I thought about it, but you could never have granted my true wish.

Kon El: No. I cannot turn you into something you are not. I cannot turn you into a true magician.

Billy Batson: That's all right, don't worry about it.

Billy Batson: The Red Bull came for a Kryptonian, so he had to become something else. The magic chose the shape, not I. I am a bearer! I am a dwelling! I am a messenger!

Bart Allen: You are an idiot! Do you hear me? You lost him! You trapped him in a human body! He'll go mad!

(Conner begins to stir. He wakes up, and tries to stand.)

Billy Batson: I can change him back. Don't worry about it. I-I can change him back.

Conner: What have you done to me?

Billy Batson: (to the Conner) You see, I couldn't think of anything else I could do to save you.

Conner: What have you done to me? I'm a Kryptonian! I'm a Kryptonian!

Conner: I wish you had let the Red Bull take me. I wish you had left me to the harpy! I can feel this body dying all around me!

(Tim gets on his horse and rides away.)
