Gosh I wish I had more energy to answer this properly but I shall try lol (Read more to not clog mutuals dashes!)

I favorite has to be the Hecata (Specifically the Cappadocians, Harbingers, etc.) Love me the clan of death (save for....the Giovannis...looks at them from afar).

I just think their whole deal is so much more interesting (personally!) than most others. The fact that y'all are traversing past the shroud and can interact with the shadowlands and just...idk I find it so much more amazing than the board room meetings of the Ventrue's.

That being said my next top three are Ventrue, Lasombra and Gangrel LMFAO

Love the Ventrue because they are just the equivalent of wolves being domesticated into those little crusty white dogs. Fantastic, really. (Also they are awful in so many ways but so much of it is looked over because they are so BORING about it !!!! which is so slay honestly). Personally, to me, they are the more Yaoi Clan.

Lasombra because like come on ya know? Shadow Lords of the highest fuckery. You're telling me these guys get Oblivion (Obentenbration), Dominate, AND Potence???? So i'm just supposed to sit here and get my shit rocked, a'ight. (Also fully believe that the Oceans are a mirror of the Abyss, which is why they were saliors ye old ages ago. GANGREL! I didn't care much about them before until I made my son Blake, and there is a good reason because they really got the fuckin' full fist : ( Like it feels as though everyone forgets about them, even their lore stated that they were meant for a greater purpose but...we shall never truly know. Not only that but in V5....? really?? you're going to make a beast man vampire and NOT give them the ability to use Shape of the Beast's Wrath??? Jail for a thousand years. Love them because a bit of bias now for sure, but also the way they view everything so so refreshing as well (Like the Hecata), so removed from the politics (in some cases). It feels like they see a bigger picture here, and yet they are called "cowards" for not getting involved. Like shit man, would you want to go help when an ANTEDILUVIAN is fully awake and going on a murder rampage?

Least favorite...hmm...IDK! I truly do like all the clans for their own reason, I guess least though would maybe be Brujah? But that might also be a case like the Gangrel where they (writers) lost the plot a long time ago. Like the True Brujah, hell yeah, now we're talking. But Normmie Brujah are very one note and I think thats sad :,/

Personally, think that this could all be fixed if we BROUGHT BACK BLOODLINES INTO V5 but thats a talk for another time.....//flops around

I'll. Never forget one of the last experiences with my mom I had. It was a long day in the hospital room. The one I'd been visiting or staying the night in for like a week or two. Every day. I'd wake up, go to the hospital, keep her company and then go back to my. Friend's. House. It was... Nice, I suppose. Like, as nice as the final stretch before death can get. Other than the nurses ignoring requests or whatever, it was. Peaceful i guess? There was this one super sweet nurse that got me Doritos and Soda one time. I hope she's doing well. Anyways, it was always peaceful... Although ma' was. Kinda slowly losing it. See, the doctors put her on morphine. She distinctly did not want it. She, a family friend and I all insisted on the painkiller that worked at home but. They just kept upping morphine doses until she was barely ever awake. And when she was? Well... She'd think we were home. She'd think she was on the couch, and ask if I could turn the light on or the tv or . I forgot what it was exactly. I remember the last time I was there for such an instance, at least I think it was. She was asking me to do something that... I literally couldn't do. It was at home... A twenty minute drive away. Whenever I'd try to tell her that, she'd just yell no... Or please. I couldn't help, and just. Kinda lost it I think? I remember asking her if she even knew where she was... She was at home! Who she was... She was... Uhm.... She couldn't tell me. But when I asked who I was. "You're my baby!". I. I shut up I. I don't even remember what happened after that. Hell I teared up just recalling it like. She doesn't know who she is, where she is, when it is, or what's going on... But she knew me. I was all she had left.

And I left. I left to go on vacation. I had assumed she'd be there by the time I got back. She knew the vacation was coming up, and was alright with me going... When she was. More awake. But literally not even a weekend into my vacation? The family friend I had been staying with let me know she was gone. That was the last time I'd see her for almost two years? Slightly more? I can't even remember dates. But. I. I left. And I just. Can't forgive myself for it. I already kinda blame myself for everything.... I mean she said all the time she was hanging on to see me get to college. Well. It's been a few years and I'm still not there! And she'd tell me after arguments that I was killing her. I thought she meant she was tired of my shit. I can't help but think she meant literally. I. I don't know where I'm going with this rant either I just. This was on my mind a lot last night and tonight so. Figured I'd jot it down.

I. Really hate my past self. Like, really hate me from more than a year ago tops. Maybe two. sadly, I can't do anything to past me. So that hatred only ends up falling on current and future me. Which sucks.

Yeah! Idk I wasn’t event trying to necessarily  make reader irredeemable but I do like making characters with flaws. hi i don't watch football but lots of football blogs are talking about this super league thing and i'm interested to know what's happening. do you mind explaining to me what is it and why is everyone angry about it?

sure! what follows is a very poor explanation i’m sorry

basically, every football season we have the champions league (UCL) hosted by UEFA. participants include the top four of the bigger domestic leagues and the champions of the smaller leagues (e.g. real madrid, barcelona, atletico madrid, and sevilla qualified based on their standings in la liga, the spanish league, but only slavia prague of czech qualified for ucl this season). there is more to the determination of the participants but i’m just keeping it simple since it’s not super relevant

through this system, participants are generally determined by merit. a club might be in the ucl one season but might not qualify the next. it’s all dependent on quality of performance.

yesterday, though, 12 very popular (i won’t say biggest because lol) clubs in europe announced that they had formed the European Super League (ESL). these include the “big six” clubs of the premier league (english league), the popular teams of spain/la liga (real madrid, barcelona, atletico), and the popular teams of italy/serie a (juventus, ac milan, inter milan). essentially, they’re all breaking away from the UCL to do this. 

how this super league works is that these 12 teams will simply never not qualify! they’re in there forever. there’s five qualification spots but the primary point is that there’s no relegation no qualification for these 12 teams etc it’s just the “big dogs” all gathering together so they can only play one another. 

no passion or spirit or merit is involved in this.

most critically though, not only are the “founders” of this super league (florentino perez, andrea agnelli, joel glazer, who are the presidents of real madrid, juventus, and manchester united respectively) all billionaire businessmen, many of the other clubs involved are backed by that sort of money (e.g. manchester city with its “oil money,” chelsea with its billionaire businessman owner roman abramovich). 

so, as you can imagine, they’re all acting in the main interest of what most businessmen are focused on. 

$$$$$$$$$$

by forming their own super league, these businessmen clubs obtain access to greater control over TV deals and money rewards. they no longer have to compete nor share anything with “smaller” teams. they’re hoarding the cash for themselves.

also? fucking jp morgan is financing the damn thing!

summarily, this is just a lil football monopoly they’re constructing. which is such a shame for football because it’s turning a very beloved sport into very little more than a money machine. and it hurts especially since admittedly, these are some very popular (okay fine i’ll say it, “big”) clubs involved who have tremendous followings. yes, there are a number of fans who really do oppose this (as you have seen), but there are also some who just do not give a fuck. they’ll watch their club wherever they play, doesn’t matter the ethics, the principles, whatever behind it. so if the super league proves successful... well. i really hope not.

UEFA, and it seems many domestic leagues, are doing what they can to stop this but really it’s just a bunch of threats (e.g. threats to kick these clubs out of their domestic leagues, deduct points, kick them out of the UCL, strip them of their badges, ban players of these clubs from competing in national tournaments like the world cup). UEFA’s not such a great organization either but at the moment i guess they’re the lesser evil. we’ve yet to see whether UEFA will uphold any of these threats should developments with the ESL continue. 

some players have already spoken out (bruno fernandes of manchester city, ander herrera of paris saint germain) but there’s not really much else we can do beside sit and wait to watch football meet its demise see what happens.

you're absolutely right! self-contained episodes are a part of the procedural as a genre. i wasn’t using it as synonymous with crime drama, but rather, in reference to narratives that follow a social/professional formula, like justice or healthcare systems, but obvs, the criteria for a procedural goes beyond that. my bad, anon!

it’s super neat that you brought up abed though because he’s like... one of the sole reasons why i’ve been railing against self-contained episodes as a criterion for procedurals. i think it breeds bad archetypes and bad writing, and i often cite abed’s bit from the asscrack bandit episode when he criticizes the role of a savant character in procedurals lol.

A little (not really) message to conclude 2021

First of all, it’s been quite a hectic year, yeah?

Honestly, the start of the year is still kinda blurry for me (including my bday) — But there’s one thing I remember clearly. Starting this blog.

In a week, I’ll be celebrating my first year anniversary of this blog. Honestly, it feels like yesterday. I can’t believe that it’ll soon be one year of crispy-chan 😭 Over the course of these 12 months, I’ve made so many incredible friends here.

To everyone who ever commented, reblogged, or left an ask, thank you! It means the world to me. It truly does.

Writing has become something special for me. I’m not a particularly creative person and I don’t really have any talent or hobbies so the fact that I have this safe little corner, this haven where I can create stuff for you and be proud of it, where I can receive feedback, it truly made my life better. I wasn’t doing too well before (during quarantine) and I was in a pretty rough spot, so the realization that I could create content for my favorite group(s) meant a lot.

Now, I know that my blog has been pretty dry for the past couple of months, but I promise that I have things in the works. There are so many things I want to write for you guys, so so much (about 17 doc pages full of fic ideas) and I hope I’ll be able to do so next year.

I hope that my journey will last a lot longer than one year… perhaps two, three, or maybe even four ❣️

Anyways, I’d like to thank my moots — you guys have been so great to me. I’ve made so many great friends over tumbleweed and you’re all amazing people. I can’t believe that some of you, I used to (and still) admire from the shadows, thinking that I’d never get to talk to you. But as crazy as it sounds, some of you are now my moots and we talk, joke around and laugh together.

I’m simultaneously scared and excited for 2022. it feels almost surreal that today is the last day of the year… I’m so excited for all the amazing things stray kids will do next year — I feel so grateful that I get to call myself a STAY along with many other amazing people.

in the very beginning, he’d be very closed off with his feelings. he’d feel he doesn’t deserve a normal relationship or that the hero public commission would eventually find out. so yeah i’d be a little annoyed at first by how guarded he is.

about him not putting himself first. or about him cancelling dates because of his hero work. texts would be like: “sorry, can’t do tonight. something came up. / oh it’s okay / are you sure? / LMFAO ofc it’s not hope you crash into a lamppost. bye. / ... / jk but i do hope you step on a lego or sth. wake me up when you get home please” YEAH djsahdkj because i picture it’s not like... once in a while he gets work out of the blue, but the hero public commission is up his ass 24/7.

43. who would probably get sick more often? who would baby the other when sick? who acts like they’re dying when they get a stuffy nose?

me <3 i feel he’s the kind of guy that tries to ignore his symptoms bc of his work, so it’d have to force him to baby him when he’s sick. it’s v foreign for him. at the same time, he doesn’t know what to do when i’m sick he’s like ???? so i have to instruct him what i need him to do (which is mostly cuddle me while watching a movie). and none of us are dramatic about it haha.

44. who has the worst patience? does the other balance this out?

ooooooh, i feel he’s very collected but not because he’s patient but because he’s trained not to let his feelings show. i’m v patient myself so we’re kind of laid back about stuff.

45. which one suggests trips to stores at 3am?

mostly him. even if he wakes up at 6 am, he sometimes comes back from his patrolls at 2 or 3 am. i picture him waking me up and saying we should go get some ice cream. i’m up for it <3

i feel he has good memory for that kind of stuff due to his training, sooooo he’d be the one to remind me of the small stuff i tend to forget.

knowing how closed off he is, i’d refrain myself from telling him i love him first, bc i’d be scared he’d say he doesn’t feel the same. but one day, after laughing over some stupid shit, he looks at me while i’m trying to regain my breath and says: ‘i think i love you’. i smile and say: ‘i think i love you too’ <3
