;; we know from beyond the dream on that day that haruka has problems expressing her emotions and is confused as a kid as to why she can't smile like the other kids her age. on the other hand, an is shown to be very expressive in a vivid old tale, to the point of most of the people around her being able to tell what she's feeling at any given point. during chapter 5 she notes that if her unhappiness is audible in her singing, then she just needs to try harder. both of them have different reactions to their own emotions, but they come to the same conclusion. if they appear unhappy and other people notice, then they need to try harder to mask that. they think this as young kids. so imagine that but perpetuated by themselves over several years. and that's how you get main story+ haruka and an! who's relationships with their emotions are even more questionable. because an is still open to talk about problems but adopts a "fuck it we ball" mindset with her own. then (as far as im aware) she hasn't voiced any of her fears regarding the future of vbs to them, because what she's afraid of mirrors what happened with nagi, taiga and her dad when she was a kid. light up the fire also happens but i haven't read that event.. and haruka likely ignored many of her 'negative' emotions during her idol work because they didn't fit in with her image. within mmj, regarding the person problems of the members, haruka (especially in the early events) tends to focus on getting rid of or ignoring the problem rather than dealing with it properly.

;; in the april fools cover haruka gets the line ""no one can oppose, so abide by your desires"", which is interesting because that is the opposite of what she does. she had to have an entire event dedicated to her to say "you're allowed to relax and enjoy yourself, you know that right?"

;; the next line both of them share between the vbs and april fools cover is the third and fourth lines in the chorus, describing how if you see your life as "incorrect" you can throw it away.

;; haruka can fit into this line in the sense that she threw her dream away because she felt she did something "incorrect" (failed to help and unintentionally hurt someone). knowing full well that it was what brought her lots of happiness. an, on the other hand, had someone else try to throw her dream away, because of something she was unaware of at the time, causing her to (at least for a period of time (??)) view the place she grew up in as cruel and "incorrect".

Hal bent down as the little girl approached him. Even then, he still managed to tower over her with how small she was.

"Hey there little lady," he said. "Anything I can help you with this fine evening?"

The little girl looked at him anxiously, fiddling with her hands. Ok so not a nervous fan. Hal immediately switched to serious mode, scanning the crowd for anyone who could be her parents. He didn't see anyone running up to the two of them or even so much as keeping a watchful eye from a distance.

"Is something the matter?" Hal questioned, making sure to keep his voice even and calm.

The girl continued fidgeting, her big blue eyes scanning from side to side. Finally she spoke. "You wiff da space po-eece yes? Not da am-ear-ree-ca one?"

Hal smiled at the girl. "Yes, I'm with the space police." Honestly that was oversimplifying the Corps a little but he had long since gotten to citizens calling him a space cop.

The girl offered up a small nervous smile of her own. "So you won't tell da gov-ment what I tell you wight?"

Hal was on high alert now. Just what was this little girl trying to tell him? "I won't tell. I promise," he said after a second.

The girl broke into a big smile at this. "Really? Dis way den." She started tugging Hal along and he began to follow.

"Where exactly are we going?" he asked.

"You see," was all she replied.

Hal was led down a couple different alleyways and was beginning to think he was walking into a trap when they reached an abandoned building. The girl dashed in and up the old rusted stairs, with Hal following closely behind her.

If this really is a trap, I'll never hear the end of it from Batman, he thought morbidly as he cleared the last step. Instead of finding himself facing an ambush however, he saw a boy curled up on an old mattress. The girl was already by his side as Hal approached.

"Don wowee Danny, I got help. Like I said I would," he caught the little girl whispering as he knelt down next to the boy. He had to have been older than the girl. Three years older maybe? Yet he was still so small. Hal took sight of his condition. He was in pain. That much was certain by his little face scrunched up in agony and his quiet moans. He was also sweating profusely. His raven black hair sticking to his forehead. Fever maybe?

Hal continued his observations as he scanned down the boy's body until he got to his stomach. The boy was clutching it and Hal could make out blood bleeding through from underneath. Oh no.

He quickly yet carefully removed the boy's arm to get a better look at the wound. The kid let out a groan as his arm was peeled away. Hal couldn't help but thank Oa for all his training that helped prevent him from letting out a gasp.

The boy's chest was covered in blood. Dark red mixed with flecks of green soaked through his shirt and there were bandages that had been amateurishly tied around the wound.

"How did this happen?" Hal asked, turning back to the girl. He did his best to keep his tone as gentle as possible.

Her smile was gone now, and her eyes welled up with tears. "He pwotected me," she said. "Dey wanted to huwrt us. Dey shot at us. Danny pwotected me."

Anger boiled within Hal. Who would shoot at these children? They were only little kids. If what the girl had said earlier was anything to go off of, the answer had something to do with the government. He would have to take care of that later though. For now, this boy needed medical attention.

"Let's get Danny to a hospital," Hal said resolutely, as he got up.

"No!" the little girl screeched. "No has-pee-tail. Too dan-er-us!"

"But he needs-" Hal started but then he met the girl's eyes. There was abject fear in them. As if going to the hospital would be a death sentence for both children. Where else were they supposed to go though? The boy- Danny needed medical attention stat. That much was certain.

Hal paused. There was one place. He sighed. Batman was going to kill him for this.

"Okay okay. No hospital. But what about space?"

"Space?" the girl repeated.

Hal nodded.

The little girl smiled. "Danny lobes space!"

"Well then. That's perfect."

Hal constructed a new bed for the boy, carefully easing him onto it before putting a protective dome around both children. The little girl giggled as he lifted them up. He then turned to the wall where he created a giant hammer to knock it down. Then they were off. Flying higher and higher, towards the atmosphere. As the Watchtower got closer in sight, Hal couldn't help but groan. Taking civilians to the Watchtower? Oh yeah, Batman was definitely going to kill him.

How do u think leon and luis would cuddle or just physical affection things in general

Well I’m glad you asked.

Okay so I feel like Luis would initiate anything at first cause Leon’s like all reserved and stuff, probably wasn’t used to a lot of physical affection before, definitely isn’t now.

It could be the smallest thing, starting with just like holding his hand, an arm around him, just any part of Luis’ body touching Leon’s. They could be holding toes for all he cares.

For cuddling, I can definitely see it being like a gradual thing. Maybe like at first, it starts with like Luis working up to like fully spooning him and stuff when they go to bed and whatnot. Anyways after a while Leon gets used to all the physical affection, starts using that as an expression of his love more, and eventually he’ll just wrap his body around Luis at any given moment.

Y’know that one thing that was like “when I ask my boyfriend to cuddle me but I forget how muscular he is”? That’s them.

Speaking of crushing Luis, I can definitely see them going to sleep, and like starting off on their own sides of them bed. By morning Leon’s just fully engulfing Luis with his body. Oh and I could kind of see like after Leon grew comfortable with sharing a bed with him, that eventually he just starts sleeping like a rock. So he’s just dead asleep with his body over Luis like a blanket. (Luis doesn’t mind, though.) ((Leon might be a bit of a beefcake, but I bet he’s so warm.)) Tbh I don't think that Nocan is his bio dad or anything but holy shit that would be so funny. Could you imagine Tangent is out here siting his great great great uncle as his pirate bloodline meanwhile Nocan is a living viking who is still vikinginging

I would absolutely love to see a team up between them. I don't really think that Nocan would understand the concept of found family, but ct certainly does and clings to him instantly. Biggest mentor / father figure ever (other than his actual dad but thats a whole other headcanon lol)

Tangent doesn't really know how to be a real pirate, but Nocan is an actual viking. That's the coolest thing he has EVER seen in his WHOLE entire life. Doubling down on it, Nocan does not care about his rambling, and will silently listen, unless he makes a direct statement (that Nocan can counter).

This leads to their language gimmicks sort of clashing, which would definitely be how a potential team up episode would be resolved in favor of Wordgirl. They are both very good at confusing other people and also each other <3 Tangent states a direct fact and Nocan refutes it "no :( but that be right !! i know it is!! " "RIGHT? NO! WRONG!!"

Learning and teaching quietly would be the best way for them to cooperate. Both of them are terrible at being quiet <3 It would also be wonderful to see a four way team up for the Too Loud Crew (butcher and whammer) and them <33 people with poor volume control friend group when

They glared at the building that Dickie sent them to. Nonny arrived after he was supposed to start the tour so they weren't surprised that they didn't meet up, but something about this whole thing was making them more nervous than usual. "I shouldn't've agreed to stay outside . . ." Looking at their phone they anxiously watched the minutes tick by without any word from their little raindrop. Unease settled through them as he missed one check in. Then another.

Thoughts about that mushroom being alone and unaccounted for with Dickie made them snarl and they made their decision. Checking one last time to make sure that they had the right address, they almost broke the phone out of anger. The entire pin's location had changed. What once said the Fashion District, where they are now, is now Otisburg.

Running to the door they used their hidden strength to rip the door off of it's hinges. Nothing. It was an empty building that was covered in dust and long since abandoned. Yelling turned into roaring as they went back to their dragon form, not caring that their three story size collapsed the front of the building and ignoring the screams of the people around them. Inhaling they let out a jet of fire and fanned the flames with their wings.

Growling they turned their head towards Otisburg and took to the air. For as long as their little raindrop is in that mushroom's filthy hands they'll burn down anything and anyone.

Long past memories of their old life passed through their mind. Memories of losing their loved ones, selling their will and autonomy in exchange for the power to kill the people responsible of killing most of their family. Roaring again, Nonny made up their mind to fully use their curse to get Dickie back and obliterate that mushroom.
