Hi!! I hope you’re having a good day, just wanted to let you know I really love your race analysis!! I was wondering if you have any tips for newbies for analyzing races? I’m just getting into f1 but I really want to be able to understand the races and you always have such great insights! 🫶
Ah thank you so much! It means so much to hear that <3
So here are some easy first steps(I have listed all links and resources at the bottom)
Re-watch races/take notes: It can be very easy to get caught up in the emotion of a race if you are watching live. Re-watching after you've had your emotional reaction helps you see what actually happened from a less clouded lens. This may sound silly but seriously it makes a big difference(and you can tell so many analysts do not do this)
Watch free practice and qualifying: Not everyone does and as we've seen a lot about a race can be determined in free practice. Especially take note of what the drivers are telling their team as feedback on the feel of the car over the radio. This is really valuable information.
Play around on F1 Tempo - this is one of my favorite websites, lets you see the telemetry from races and also qualifying and free practice. Just mess around comparing laps and understanding how the site works. It may look scary but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. It's really fun!
Don't expect to be an expert on everything: I'm obviously way more dialed into everything going on at Ferrari with their car development and drivers than say Haas. So focus on the teams and drivers you care about, don't think you need to do it all at once.
I know this doesn't sound like much but it seriously will get you started, most people(who claim to be analysts) don't even do this much, they watch the race and call it good(and that is totally valid by the way, this post is if you really want to dig into analysis).
These next few tips are if you want to get even more involved ↓
5. Learn some of the basic parts of an F1 car: You don't need to learn all 20,000 that Williams has on their spreadsheet, but familiarize yourself with the major components of an F1 car and their general function.
6. Research track characteristics: Every track is different and that always plays a role in analysis. The Formula 1 website has a tab on the race schedule where you can learn about a track, it's a good overview of what a track is like and gives some helpful stats.
7. Learn tyres: knowing tyre compounds, their functions, and how track conditions affect them makes a big difference. When I started watching F1 at first I was always confused by why cars were behaving a certain way, then I learned about tyres and a lot of things started to make sense. It's a really important part of in depth race analysis in my opinion.
8. F1 race visualizer: helps you look at positioning so you can see lap by lap replay for the ordering of the track. This is really helpful to see overall track shifts, and also to see who was behind or ahead of who and for how long.
9. Watch onboards: obviously during the broadcast we are only ever shown a fraction of what happens in any given race. I always watch Charles' onboards. And if there is a moment I really want to see I can go check onboards. So if for example I want to see what happened with Logan's race, they don't show most of that, but I can see everything through his onboards if I need.
10. Follow sources reporting on current developments in your team of interest: these will keep you up to date with what is going on with the car on the technical side. You can see what the team is saying about the development direction etc. What to follow really depends on your team.
I'd say these are good first steps to take to feel more informed about a race and what's going on at a particular team. This is probably "beginner" and "intermediate" tips, and I advise starting slow if you are brand new. Practice forming your own opinions and making your own observations. It can take a little bit to get the hang of so remember to be kind to yourself and don't expect everything to make sense overnight.
If anyone wants I can also make advanced analysis tips for those interested.
The important thing is that you are learning what you want and having fun with it!
Also obviously I am here if anyone has any questions <3

You may have already mentioned this in some of your other metas, and I just missed it, so please ignore this if it's redundant.
Do you think Bruce is projecting onto Jason by pushing him as a Robin? Obviously, Jason wanted to be Robin and was excited about it, and Bruce let Jason do other things, but (if I'm not mistaken) before Tim came into play, solidifying the whole Batman needs a Robin/support to keep him upright, Bruce and Dick becoming Batman and Robin, in the beginning, was also sort of a coping mechanism.
I think there are a few examples of Bruce enabling this kind of mindset. Like in Gotham Knights #43–44 (sorry), every time Barbara brings up Jason's inner turmoil, Bruce refocuses on his ability as a Robin; similarly, when Jason finds out about Two-Face and his dad, he is hurt, and Bruce acknowledges that but then does the same thing, zeroing in on reassuring Jason that he made a mistake but is still a good Robin.
Like, Jason got it from Bruce, but he unintentionally encouraged that kind of thinking.
oh, i definitely think that bruce is projecting on jason and that it profoundly affected jay. and, while every single one of your observations is apt, i would add that what truly made it so tragic is that he projected his own worst traits on jason while being blind to the fact that jay already shared his best qualities.
tldr: bruce projects himself on jason in terms of grief (saying that jason needs vigilantism to work his grief through) and sees his own worst traits in jason (anger) but doesn't see his own best traits in jay (compassion, love, and sensitivity). ironically, jason does end up developing all of the (projected) worst characteristics of bruce (obsessiveness, and relentlessness in pursuit of the respective perceived idea of justice). this happens even though they were barely present in his early storylines, and only ever manifested when jason was scared or lost. later, they truly came to be because of his trauma relating to vigilantism.
and the long, long version, coming with panels and quotes: under the cut.
first i want to say that the following analysis focuses very specifically on bruce's mistakes, but i don't view the overall of jay's upbringing by bruce solely in these terms. from text it is also clear that bruce deeply loves and cares about jay, and that jay enjoys being robin. now that this is clear, let's get to particularities, and start with jay's origin story.
i truly never stop thinking about the significance of bruce meeting jay in the crime alley, the place of his parents' death. there's a lot to be said about it, but here the focus is, of course, on the fact that he sees a little boy, very much similar to himself, angry and hurt, in the same scenery that brought him so much grief. and jay in some ways does appear to be a mirror of bruce's own agonies, as well as a mirror of his own inclination for seeking justice; and somehow, bruce fixates on the first one, while almost completely dismissing the latter.
bruce looks at him and assumes that the remedy to jason's pain and anger is being robin; and he doesn't stop to think about it. (it has to be noted that there's also classism at play, classism that is mostly a result of writers' own beliefs – collins did state in a couple of interviews that that the motivation behind jason's background was to make his introduction into vigilantism seem less offensive, as jason has already been exposed to crime...)
i think, in this context, it's interesting to look at the two-face storyline even closer, and from the start too. in the beginning, bruce talks of jason's 'street' roots and assumes jay would go "down the same criminal road that took his father [willis] to an early death." he also talks of jason making a lot of progress. later, in batman #411, after jason learns that willis has been killed by two-face, bruce comments that jay "has never been like this...listless...almost pouting--"
Tumblr media
this all, along with jay's cheerful and diligent behaviour from the previous issue builds an interesting picture for us: because we essentially learn that jay has been overall an unproblematic child. bruce, of course, attributes this "progress" to the training. however, for anyone else, the logical conclusion would be that jay's quick adjustment was simply a matter of finding himself in a safe and stable environment and receiving continuous support and attention from a parental figure. i find it rather questionable that jason's personality softened down because he had something to punch in the cave–– the more intuitive explanation is of course that he was angry and quick to fight when they first met because he couldn't afford anything else and because he was scared. but months later, in a loving home, he can allow himself to drop his guard; and his cocky attitude disappears until much later.
so the rather unsettling picture that we derive is that bruce is training jay to become a vigilante in order to "channel" his (nonvisible at this point) anger into something useful and just. and he clearly links this to his own trauma in batman #416 (that’s already starlin btw), in his conversation with dick, explaining why he took jay in: “he’s so full of anger and frustration… he reminds me of myself, just after my parents were killed.” bruce also mentions that soon after their first meeting, jason helped him and "handled himself well" in the fight, but he doesn't mention that jay has ran away from a crime "school" and intended to stop injustice on his own only because he was ignored.
the theme of bruce comparing jay to himself appears again in detective comics #574 (barr), where it is approached with a much more... critical look, thanks to leslie's presence and her skepticism of bruce's actions. after jason has suffered nearly fatal injuries at the hand of the mad hatter, bruce reminisces on his own trauma and motives. he tells leslie: "i didn't choose jason for my work. he was chosen by it...as i was chosen." leslie replies: "stop that! (...) you do this for yourself... you're still that little boy (...)" then, the conversation steers to the familiar ground and the topic of anger. in bruce's words, again: “i wanted to give jason an outlet for his rage…wanted him to expunge his anger and get on with his life…” and finishes "and instead, i may have killed him."
the recognition that bruce's projection on jason and involving him with his work might have fatal consequences is, as always, fast forgotten once jay wakes up and proclaims that he wants to continue his work as robin.
but to circle back, i think there's something else worth our attention, something deeply ironic, that is showcased in that issue: that bruce has no evidence for jay's "rage." when leslie talks of bruce's past, she recalls his tendencies to get into brutal fights at perceived injustice as early as in school; when bruce talks of jason, two pictures that are juxtaposed, are that of jason fighting as robin and jason... smiling, playing baseball.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so, in the early days of jason's training and work in the field, we see bruce talking of jason's anger a lot; but we barely see it.
that being said, jay is angry sometimes– and i think your observation about how bruce deals with it is incredibly interesting and accurate.
we first see jay truly and devastatingly angry in the two-face storyline. bruce focuses on jay's reaction as robin, which is, in fact, aggressive. but something that he barely addresses is that jason's first reaction is sleeping all day, and not beating anyone to a pulp; in fact, this vengeful instinct seems to arise only when he is put right in front of two-face. and his third instinct, once the rage (very quickly) dies down after the altercation with two-face, is crying, because bruce hid the truth about willis' death from him. jay, while crying, asks bruce: "you have taken me out into combat-- but you spare me this?" in response, bruce lectures jason about how grief inspires revenge, which is, again, deeply ironic, given that jay seeking out revenge seemed to be prompted and enabled solely by the role of robin. moreover, his question suggests that at this point he saw grief ("you spare me this") and fighting as two different things.
the final is, as you said, bruce focusing on making it into a lesson on vigilantism, or, in his own words, "tempering revenge into justice." personally, i think in this way bruce directs jason to bring his grief into the field as a powering force, something that he didn't necessarily have an own incentive to do. the flash of compartmentalisation between his ordinary life and being a sidekick that jay has shown by questioning bruce's decision is lost. emotions are now a robin thing, and they have an (informal) protocol, a moral code. and when jay is confronted with an emotionally exhausting case next – the garzonas case, i believe that the focus on "tempering revenge into justice" is exactly the problem– we don't see jay crying, we see him frantic about finding the solution. this, right there, is bruce's obsessiveness, that in my opinion, was developed in jay specifically as a result of how his engagement with vigilantism combines with his deep sensitivity.
and, needless to say, his sensitivity is all the same as that of bruce – they both can't stand looking at other people hurting, they both wear their hearts on their sleeve, caring way too much – the thing is, bruce never quite acknowledges how they are similar in this matter. instead, he focuses on his sparse bursts of anger, wanting to bring jason closure in his grief the only way he knows it – in a fight for a better world. so, as you said, he focuses on jason's ability as robin.
which just doesn't work for jason. at all. we know it from how his robin run comes to an end: in the first issue of a death in the family (batman #426) alfred informs: “i’ve come upon him, several times, looking at that battered old photograph of his mother and father, crying.”  to that, bruce contends: “in other words, i may have started jason as robin before he had a chance to come to grips with his parents deaths.” he also tells jay that the field is not a place for someone who is hurting; a message that is the opposite of what he's been saying for years now, and something that i imagine was difficult for bruce to conceptualise, because then he would have to question his own unhealthy tendencies. it's a bit late to come to this realisation; bruce's self-projection that caused him to worry so much about jay's anger has already turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy that will fully manifest itself in utrh, when jason does the only thing he was taught to do with grief: try to channel it into justice.

hii linden! since ur both a cass and dick enjoyer i was wondering who YOU think is bruce’s fav? my bsf says it’s dick 100% and an argument can also be made for damian. i do think cass is high UP there on the board, though.
sorry if this ask seems a little too fanon or stupid 😭
hey anon! first of all i just want to say never ever ever apologize for asking a question in good faith!!!! idk how ‘’’’stupid’’’ it seems i will always try to help you<3 like for real you could come in my askbox and say ‘who is dick grayson’ and i will happily answer lmfao
I’ve kinda gone into my thoughts on this before if you go through my ask tag but to recap.. yeah i’d say it’s dick. the word favorite is kind of a relative term and it’s mostly used for comedic purposes rather than any kind of serious character analysis lol but i just really really don’t think it’s possible to top the relationship dick had with bruce. lyke. that kind of insane codependent attachment developed between bruce (in his 20s) and dick (8 yrs old) just can never ever be replicated. it’s studied by scientists. overall i just think dick had the advantage of time tbh. you’d be hard pressed to argue a different wayne kid has a deeper or closer relationship to bruce & a lot of that is due to the fact that they met when dick was 8 instead of already a teen.
like I’ve said though cass is a special case too because of how freakily similar she and bruce are. which i think in different ways both helps and hurts their relationship.
at the end of the day it’s kinda. 🤷‍♀️ like idk i think it’s not the most important question in terms of character & relationship analysis lol it’s so subjective. though it’s probably a safe bet to default to dick in most cases👍

CW for some talk of self-harm
Max won't stop giving her this look.
Chloe's grown used to the weight of her wide-eyed stare — well, sort of — but this feels somehow different. Heavier, hesitant.
It started midway through their trip. Rachel had called a little earlier in the evening, waxing poetic about her long day and asking if they wanted to pick her up and head out for a bit to de-stress. So Chloe hopped in the truck with Max in tow, and after rescuing Rachel from the dungeon known as Blackwell's dormitories, they’d decided that then was as good a time as any to introduce Max to their tradition of impromptu midnight picnics. One stop at the convenience store and several bags of sweets later, they’ve all settled down in the flatbed, half huddled together and watching the stars between bites.
Rachel's hoarding a bag of skittles and spinning a tale of Andromeda’s chains when Max starts shivering. Chloe interrupts to ask if they want to head back and is shot down in short order by two different pouts and a dramatic whine of, “No way, I'm just getting to the good part.” So instead she squirms out of her jacket and insists on handing it off to Max, hoping it still carries a bit of residual heat.
That's when Max starts looking. Bushy little brows upturned in quiet concern, moving to absentmindedly fidget with the jacket collar. It’s something Chloe has come to recognize as a mark of overthinking, a sign that Max is worrying far too much about something more than likely out of her control.
“Yo, Mad Max,” Chloe calls over to her as Rachel finishes. “C’mere.” She shifts a bit and motions in invitation for Max to come snuggle up to her. Max wastes no time making good on the offer. “What’s with the sad puppy eyes? Whatcha thinkin’ about?”
Rachel moves a little closer too, leans into Chloe’s other side. “I think,” she murmurs, reaching down to run her fingertips over a patch of raised skin on the inside of Chloe’s forearm, feather-light. “She’s worried about these. Am I right?”
Max nods, timid and tentative.
Chloe forgets about her scars, sometimes. She’s used to them. Used to covering them up without a second thought, used to glancing them over, used to ignoring them for the sake of surviving a hot summer day. A good chunk of them are even hidden amidst her tattoo at this point, and she’s learned to ignore what few remain in the open. By now they’ve grown pale and thick with age, not having seen the returning glint of a sharp edge in a long while. Which is a good thing, she supposes; even if their discoloration and visible shift in texture make them almost as easy to spot as when they were fresh.
“Oh.” She swallows hard, takes a sudden interest in examining the scuffs of her boots. “Don’t stress yourself out about it, Max. They’re getting pretty old. No worries, yeah?”
But Max remains unconvinced. She nestles herself further into Chloe, holds the girl's arm in both of hers and hides her face in the crook of her neck. “M’sorry,” she whispers, half lost to the dark.
Before Chloe can even think of an adequate reassurance, Rachel answers for her.
“Hey, it’s okay,” she offers with a soft smile. “I took care of them.” She turns up to Chloe again, donning a slightly more unimpressed expression. “Most of them. When you’d let me, anyways.”
“Oi, I don’t think now is the time for petty technicals.”
“What, like she doesn’t already know how stubborn you can be?” Rachel counters in a lighthearted scoff. She laces their fingers together, gives Chloe’s hand a gentle squeeze. “My point is, you weren’t dealing with it alone. You had me looking after you.”
They're quiet, for a minute or two, before Max finds her voice. “G-Good,” she says, emerging from her hiding place just long enough to pull back and nuzzle into Chloe’s shoulder. She presses a soft, cottony kiss to one of the less visible scars lurking amongst curls of inky thorn and ribbon. Then another, then another. “Thank you.”
Chloe bites back a shiver of her own.

Almighty Empress of Sukka! I have a spicy Sukka question for you:
What are some things that Sokka and/or Suki do (unknowingly or otherwise) that get each other in the mood? Like little quirks or habits or clothes they wear or just random everyday stuff that makes the other go 😯🥵🤤? (For example, maybe Suki drinking a milkshake or slurpee with her lips wrapped around the straw is just a bit too much for Sokka to handle. And maybe when Sokka takes his shirt off after a hot, sweaty workout, not matter how awkwardly he does it, Suki gets a little hot and flustered herself.)
Sorry, that was a lot. 😅 But Sukka’s irrepressibly spontaneous love for each other always makes me want to gush! 🥰
And I know you’re busy with Sukka Week right now, so no rush to answer this at all! I’m very patient.
Lord, have I really been sitting on this ask for nearly two years??
I need you to know, Dearest Anon, that it doesn't feel like I've let this ask go for so long because I have actually had it on my mind that entire time, wanting to answer it and waiting until a good enough answer surfaced.
But I think I was going about it the wrong way. I don't really have a lot of headcanons that exist independently of putting a guy in situations. And if I put a guy in enough situations, I might end up repeating similar ideas until they become headcanons (like my headcanon that Suki has a particular fondness for lotus seed buns).
So! It occurred to me that maybe the best way for me to answer this question would be to put these guys in a situation. And now, at long last, we have...Suki getting really turned on by Sokka cooking... 😏
Suki stepped off the back porch of the house, perched the steamer basket full of rice on her cocked hip, and bit her lip. Framed beautifully in her field of view, amidst a glorious backdrop of lush green foliage and the island’s tumbling, sparkling brook, was Sokka, standing over the makeshift grill he’d thrown together from a large cast iron pot and some wire mesh he’d gotten off one of the fishing boats. The air was fragrant with the savory sweet aroma of seared meat, Sokka expertly working the grill in a calculated dance between flame, timing, and seasoning. And Suki’s mouth was watering.
“Hey there, grill master,” she crooned as she approached, abandoning the rice on the table that housed Sokka’s setup. She ran one hand over his shoulder, down his back, then lower still so she could squeeze a generous handful of ass cheek.
He yelped before glancing at her out of the corner of his eye, one brow quirked in amusement. “Hungry?”
“Starved,” she said, sidling closer and pressing up against him from behind. Her hands quickly found his hip bones and traced the muscle there before teasing lower by just a few millimeters, and Sokka nearly dropped his tongs.
“You know Mrs. Kotoji can see us from here…”
Suki turned her head towards her next door neighbor’s house just in time to see the shutters slam shut on one of the windows. “Nothing scandalous for her to see here,” she countered breezily. Then she found the slit in the side of Sokka’s tunic and traced her fingers down his thigh.
“Keep doin’ that and there might be,” he grunted, and Suki chuckled, dropping her forehead between Sokka’s shoulder blades as she laughed.
“Listen…” she said coyly. With her head still resting against Sokka’s spine, she drew her hands slowly around his hips and up his flanks. “I know you’re still cooking, but once you’re done, you think you could…scandalize me a bit before we eat?”
Something clattered loudly while Sokka fumbled around with the grill, and then suddenly he was whirling around, gripping Suki’s waist and tugging her close. “Tui and La, woman… I will scandalize you so much, you’ll be reading about it in Ba Sing Se next year. In those scandal sheet things. That they circulate in the Upper Ring. Whatever, it made sense in my—” And he cut himself off by closing the distance between his mouth and hers.
Suki threw her arms around his shoulders, laughing into him as he penguin-stepped them back towards the house. When they collided with one of the porch posts, Sokka used the opportunity to deepen the kiss, slotting one thigh between hers, creating delicious friction for them both. Suki moaned.
“So, you like the way I handle my meat, huh?” Sokka teased, breathy against her lips.
“Oh yeah,” Suki rasped, delighted, sneaking her eager hands back around to Sokka’s backside. “And now it’s my turn.”

Hmmmm, honestly I'd say it's Casey but only because I have seen him the most as he is usually who you draw/post about. I think it would be fun to see more of your other OC's so I can better answer the question!
Though I do really love the idea of a night/day spirit- so he would probably be a contestant for favorite even if I did know more about your other ocs.
Next question- do you have a favorite musical?
- mysterious anon
hiii!! Sorry it took me so long to answer! I’m a master procrastinator. As you all know. Anyways, here! I didn’t know which Casey you were talking about since there are two of them, so I give you both!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hehe I got to draw the Anon Cat again :D
also, my favorite musical would either be Greatest Showman or Hazbin Hotel.
new question for you!! What’s your favorite holiday? Mine would have to be Halloween :)

general info 5 & 8, and relationship and personality 1 ( love your blog btw, hope you're having a nice day <3 )
Ahhh, thank you so much anon, that's sweet of you to say!! 💚💚 I hope you also have a nice day/night!
-> to the ask game -> to all asks about Marchosias
⸺ GENERAL INFO 05 ⸺ Which deadly sin best aligns with them? Which one do they embody the least?
Most people would probably assume she aligns most with gluttony given how often she goes on her little parfait outings. But she's actually a pride demon who just happens to have a massive sweet tooth! Her pride predominantly kicks in as a defense and coping mechanism. For example, her right hand is pitch black up to a little over her elbow and as an angel that was reason enough for her to be outcast a lot of the time, but now as a demon she's just like "you WISH your arm was this cool". Around others she also takes great pride in being able to solicte humans into pacts with ease, when in actuality it's just an empty skill to her
Envy is a pretty strong contendor as well, though. On one hand, there's the fact that her wings were cut off as an angel and she now has two tails meaning she can't fly anymore, yet she would love nothing more than to be closer to the night sky, and constantly envies demons with wings. And while both she and the brothers are fallen angels, at least the brothers got to fall together with their family, which is something her child-self didn't have at the time
As for least, that would have be Sloth. She's just constantly up and about with different tasks relating to the Newspaper Club and has to deal with school work, as well as managing all the requests from her human masters
⸺ GENERAL INFO 08 ⸺ Do they have a kill count? How high is it?
She does, and considering how she often resorts to stabbing people that annoy her with her tails, it's surprisingly low!
..........low for a demon, anyways
⸺ RELATIONSHIPS & PERSONALITY 01 ⸺ What's their relationship with the cast?
Since you didn't specific which characters I went with Lucifer, Levi, Diavolo and Barbatos to talk more in-depth about. If you'd like to hear a little about the others, feel free to send another ask!
Lucifer
Lucifer was responsible for her while she was still a little angel. Back then Marchosias looked up to him then despite Lucifer's less than kind attitude toward her, and things only got worse between them once the brothers fell. There was one incident in particular that severely damaged their relationship and that ended with Marchosias trying to get Lucifer to take her grimoire since he's "he's already used to playing around with her fate, this wouldn't be any different"
If you ask any of the people that played absolutely no part in any of it what that incident was about, they'll tell you that the two of them went on a date that went south. If you ask any of the two demons actually involved, Marchosias tends to grow completely quiet, while Lucifer will hesitate a little before either saying that they "were talking about something that happened back when they were both angels" or that he told her "something he thought she deserved to know", but that's about as much as you will get out of them. The only other ones that know the full story are Mephisto, Barbatos, Solomon, Simeon and Raphael, but they'll keep quiet about it
Their relationship has been strained for several centuries after this, but nowadays they finally have a more friendly and casual relationship with each other and she's back to looking up to him. She and my MC have even formed the "Lucifer, take a fucking break already" club. Club activities include coming up with different ways to trick Lucifer into taking a break!
She also likes getting on his nerves :) She might have taken over RAD's Newspaper Club after Mephisto was forced to step down, but Marchosias keeps him as her second in command and runs any important decision by him first. And then she always goes with whatever Mephisto suggests. It's not uncommon for Lucifer to complain to her about it because "that defeats the purpose of having Mephistopheles step down in the first place" :)
Leviathan
As with any of the brothers, Marchosias keeps some tabs on him for the RAD Newspaper. So outside of interviews and school surveys, they have hardly ever exchanged a word with each other. That being said, she's also a massive fan of his cosplays! Not that she would ever tell him that to his face. There are only very few instances where Marchosias gets shy, and witnessing Levi's embarrassment is one of those instances where she gets completely disarmed
Anyway, Marchosias even has notifications on for his accounts. It's not uncommon that Levi posts something only to delete it three seconds later... Plus he's pretty much the only one out of the brothers about whom she doesn't like getting blackmail insider information from her Anonymous Source™
Diavolo
Maze is genuinely fascinated by his charisma and his ability to captivate people with his speeches. Pretty much the only reason she still shows up to seductive speechcraft classes is because she hopes to be partnered up with Diavolo and get to learn as much about his charme as she can. It could be useful for forging pacts with humans, after all!
Diavolo actually also enjoys partnering up with her because--even though they hardly ever get any work done--he is super interested in all her experience in forging pacts with humans, so they talk the entire time instead of paying attention in class. Win-win situation for the two of them, lose-lose situation for the teachers, Lucifer and Barbatos <3
Barbatos
They've know each other pretty much ever since Marchosias fell, but their relationship was very distant at first. He has helped her adjust to the Devildom and helped her master her powers on behest of the king, but their relationship mostly just stayed professional. They've finally started growning a lot closer a while after Marchosias had forged her pact with Solomon, and while you don't see them talking with each other outside of RAD News related business, they comment on any given situation by shooting each other looks whenever they pass each other in the hallway or on the street
She trust him immensely which is why he is in possession of her grimoire as mentioned here, and Barbatos is also the first one Marchosias goes to when she's in need of comfort. Whenever that happens, she usually just storms into the castle, ignores everyone as she walks straight to Barbatos and then just collapses in his arms
-> to the ask game -> to all asks about Marchosias

welcome back to the ness reality show!!!!! basically a little voice in my head told me i should definitely not lay down in my car with just the ignition on for like an hour but i did it anyway bc i never listen to my little voice of reasoning so my car went "what if i kms" and started beeping and i said "shut up" and then shut off the car and tried to start the engine but now my car was mad at me and wouldn't listen so then i FREAKED and called my sister to ask if her bf (still lives in my state while she's out of state) if he could help me but he was at school </3 but told me what i needed to do but ofc i'm just a girl and i don't have freaking jumpstart cables so i stand there looking lost in a library parking lot trying to think about how i ask someone to help me without seeming like i'm sus or anything 😭😭 but then this old man sees me and asks if i'm okay!! and i tell him what happens and he tells me to wait in my car while he looks to see if he has cables but he doesn't so i call my friends who are 20 minutes away and tell him he can go but he insists on staying (which was nice at first) but then he called someone a slut for driving away 😭😭😭 AND THEN SOME LIKE MACHO BLUE CAR DRIVES PAST but this old man STILL stops him on the road and is like
"ayo bro u got jumpstart cables?" and they have do their weird universal man bluetooth sync connection and he's like "yeah i got u bro" while i'm like sobbing outside my car bc i'm trying to tell this old man my friends are LITERALLY HERE SO PLEASE DON'T STOP THIS BLUE CAR WITH THE MACHO MAN INSIDE AND JUST LET HIM GO BUT HE DOESN'T LISTEN TO ME but it all worked out in the end bc my friends saved me and i got to talk to them for a bit and then drove home!!! <3 AND NOW I'M TRYING TO ANSWER ASKS AND HOPEFULLY WILL GET THROUGH THEM ALL BEFORE I FALL ASLEEP BC I CANNOT WAIT TO ANSWER UR OTHER ASK!! BUT THANK YOU MANGO ANON FOR SAVING ME!!! <3

oh man i love this idea of creating gifsets about jin's influence on namjoon 🥺 these two... they're so different. there are more differences between them than in any other duo in BTS. namjoon has said it himself too, that he didn't understand jin before. i think it's beautiful how they learn with each other, how namjoon relies on jin to find reassurance and to be more at ease. how jin admires his leader... jin is very wise and simple at the same time, right? he doesn't think too much about things, about life, about his feelings. but namjoon is an overthinker by nature. the quality that makes him a wonderful lyricist is also what makes him suffer the most. i like the way jin offers him comfort and a different perspective in life just with his presence. i love how they respect each other's approach in life. i love the fact that we can watch them both, their journey in life and everything that they share with us ❤️
they're so different. there are more differences between them than in any other duo in BTS.
This is why i love their duo so much, i like watching people who are different from each other and how they interact and how they influence on each other, sometimes it is even more interesting than watching two people who are similiar in characters (no negative connotations just thinking out loud)
That specific moment from the movie and that Jin's live in which he mentioned "Epiphany" creation story keeps me awake at night bc i can't stop thinking: did his philosophy of self-love, his mindset somehow serve as the basis on which the LY trilogy was created? Maybe i'm digging too deep idk.
Sometimes i notice Jin's influence on all BTS members but if i had to pick i'd pick Yoongi, Jimin and Joon as someone who changed the most (this is just my opinion) thanks to Jin. Jinmin bond became the most significant to me while i was watching 2018 content💖 And as for Namgi oh lord, i live for these moments when Jin does something unexpected or cute and these two just either cover their faces with palm or laugh their asses out like "our brains are broken bc hyung did it AGAIN". For me it's like a reflex, i always look at these two when this happens😁 (i have one gifset in my drafts btw waiting for its moment)
i like the way jin offers him comfort and a different perspective in life just with his presence.
same! there was a moment in BV2 Behind from Namjin conversation that i love very much. Namjoon had this thought that bothered him at that time

and Jin offered him a different perspective

Few days ago i watched Break the Silence and saw Namjoon saying the same words to Jimin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jin's words really sunk into him and it warms my heart very much.
Mayby Jin is not the leader of the group but he's so important for them and i always get emotional when they tell us how his words affected them and changed their lives for better.

Question about Volitation (or the writing process of it, I suppose)! It sounds like you've planned out some key pivot points in the story where the dominoes fall exactly where they feel they need to and their consequences seem inevitable and I'm curious how you go about nailing them down! When it comes to planning that sort of thing, character decisions + consequences, do you imagine the consequences first, and then work backwards from there, or do consequences fall into place as you go? Or maybe a mix of the two, or something different?
Haha good question!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m much more of an artist than an author. I only started writing because I wanted to make sure I keep the lore on my ocs in line. So please take everything I say with a grain of salt lol
I have the main points plotted, mostly in terms of what happens to the characters if that make sense?
It's usually kind of a toss up between "this is what I planned on happening the entire time >:)" and "WAIT WOULDN'T IT BE COOL IF-"
Sometimes I write out my thought processes through the character, going through their options mentally. If something bad needs to happen, I purposefully leave out them thinking of that option. A lot of the time, it’ll look like this:
I could maybe fly it. But I needed a running start. And I still had almost no practice flying. And I would have to land again, which I was also not good at. I groaned. It sounded easier but there was so much that could go wrong with it so fast. Getting spotted, losing more blood from the extertion of flying, passing out mid-air…
Torture by walking for five blocks it was.
But sometimes the process is like. I have an idea of what bad thing is going to happen and I make a vague outline of how that happens, completely ignore that, and kind of write as I go.
I've been working on and off on Volitation for... over a decade now, so I've had a lot of time to see which plot points work and which don't. There's really only one plot point from the very first draft which will never see the light of day that's still relevant to the story now.
idk haha I spend a lot of time daydreaming about my ocs and the stuff that happens to them. Sometimes it just falls into place and makes perfect sense somehow.
Not sure if any of that made sense but I’m happy to try again if it didn’t! Just shoot me another ask or something :33

"#bc obviously it wasn't confirmed that that wasn't just manic hypersexuality until later" wait was this confirmed? sorry I'm more of an on/off fan, checking the tag lol
Not exactly explicitly, but he's constantly up for a threesome even when he's on his meds so I think we can assume it's not something he regrets or something that's exclusive to when he's manic. Plus, he crossed over to Holby a few years ago (3 years ago today, in fact) and a lesbian patient asked him if he was "on our bus" and he said "just once, back in the 80s". I believe it was series 22 episode 13. Here's a gifset of the scene.

for director's commentary meme - star emoji on hold me like you do, cover me in blue ???? please!!
lmao so it's largely known that hmlyd was meant to be the epilogue of a much larger story (as was the bonus chpt from gold in the air of summer), and bc of that there's a lot of details that didn't make it in, including: izumi <3
the story actually largely revolved around her as like this big 5+1 pining/getting together fic (i still have scenes that i want to spruce up and post at some point), but...i quickly realized that i was never going to finish the thing, especially when what i really wanted to write was the hair braiding scene lol
it didn't take much for me to rework the fic to pull her out...but you may be able to tell that the following line was one of the spots where she was originally mentioned:
He hadn’t been expecting to see Sokka again so soon, after only briefly crossing paths earlier at the beginning of the tour. Enlisted in helping one of the schoolteachers transport her students, Sokka couldn’t do much talking and was really only able to give Zuko a quick wave as he passed by, too busy being deep in an animated conversation with a captivated five-year-old in his arms.
(i am sad tho that i couldn't include the tiny bit of a scene where zuko didn't mind the cold but izumi was decidedly Unsure about it until sokka convinced her it was fun to play in the snow lol)

With almost seismic intensity from thunderous call ( especially from Nanako's voice ) tea-filled yunomi shook his hand and nearly spilled before he had a chance to savor one favorable droplet. ㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤ𝐅𝐥𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐭 ... ㅤㅤㅤㅤ... 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 /𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬/??
