If we DO ever get a Good Omens season 3 (and fingers crossed we will) then using the Second Coming as the narrative device to facilitate the final culmination of Good Omens' ideology and message is brilliant, actually.

Because the Second Coming IS NOT another Adam situation. And, contrary to the misconceptions I've seen, It IS NOT about Jesus being born again as a baby, etc, etc.

THE SECOND COMING. QUITE LITERALLY refers to THE LAST JUDGMENT.

As in. The SAME Last Judgment Michelangelo painted on the walls of the Sistine Chapel. As in - THE JUDGMENT of the Living and the Dead. THE LAST, FINAL, ETERNAL JUDGMENT.

It's the WHOLE thing Armageddon was leading towards. Book of Revelation speedrun: the world ends, everyone dies, and then they get resurrected again to be judged by JESUS himself. He will flick through the Book of Life (WINK WINK WINK DO YOU SEE HOW LOUDLY I'M WINKING AT YOU???), and if your name is there he will go "oh nice you deserve eternal paradise! :D" and if your name is ERASED from the Book of Life he will go "oh no, sorry, you go to the lake of fire for eternity now D:" (except apparently in Good Omens lore it'd just DOOM YOU TO NON-EXISTENCE FOREVER???)

And if you THINK about it, The Last Judgment is the ultimate manifestation of moral absolutism. No shades of gray, no chances. Just BLACK, and WHITE. Never mind that you're like Wee Morag and Elspeth, who are forced to do "bad" things because of circumstances. It's either you pass Judgment Day, or you burn (or disappear forever.) And the way THINGS are going in the Good Omens universe? I don't think there's ANYONE "good" enough to be "saved." Not Crowley, not Aziraphale. Hell, not even the Archangels themselves.

So it provides a PERFECT opportunity for Aziraphale and Crowley to UPEND that SYSTEM entirely.

I think that's what Crowley and Aziraphale would do in s3: establish a new kind of system in which angels and demons have free will to determine the right (or wrong) choice.

Giving them the APPLE, so to speak.

And then they'll go off to retire in a cottage, together at last.

I was here in the 2010s, when fandom was at one of its peaks, I saw girls leaking each other's address because of fandom wars, I had my number leaked, just because I made fun of One Direction at the time, I saw girls stepping over each other at events just to get a peak of their favorite singer or actor, y'all are acting just the same, but this time is way worse, because a lot of you are full grown ass adults. I saw people threatening to hurt themselves because of this marriage. I heard that Pedro Pascal was stalked a few weeks ago, people are having public meltdowns because of Timothée Chalamet, there's still people stalking Henry's girlfriend. There are still people dissecting every single move that Zawe does. Seek professional help. Stop consuming fanfiction, don't just decrease the quantity, stop consuming it for at least 3 months.

I don't know when y'all will understand they are actors, singers, models, they are here to sell a product so we can consume their product. We can enjoy a little harmless fun sometimes, we can imagine what it would be like to be next to them, or date them, be their friend, we can imagine that, but there's a point where you have to back up, rethink your life choices and see what's missing in your life. mgs itself is guilty of this but i feel like people gloss over the realistic repercussions of sunny’s abuse wayyyyy too much…she was separated from her mother, drugged, groomed, and isolated SINCE BIRTH, and it’s likely raiden didn’t rescue her until she was at least two years old; she’s been with snake and otacon for most of her life at this point but, despite being a technical genius, still struggles with functioning properly. her motorics are disturbed. she can’t read social cues. virtually the only times she doesn’t stutter are when she’s reciting patterns of numbers she was conditioned into memorizing. it’s genuinely horrific and i absolutely hate how mgs4 (and a good chunk of the fandom) boil this behavior down to being a result of her acclimating to a new environment, or needing a maternal figure, or just being shy. otasune don’t struggle with her because they’re first-time parents; it’s because they literally do not have the skillsets necessary to properly accommodate a kid that’s gone through what sunny has—despite them almost certainly having been abused children themselves. i really do lament the fact that the long-term effects of this treatment aren’t ever really considered; i don’t think, realistically, that naomi’s influence should have been nearly enough to help her fix those issues

Oh omg I just had such a fucked up idea for Ascended Astarion

Tw: infanticide and pregnancy. Gn but Tav is able to become pregnant.

Ok so since Ascended Astarion doesn’t make Tav break things off with Halsin imagine Consort Tav finds out soon after the events of the game that they’re pregnant.

However Astarion can immediately tell it’s not his child but Halsin’s much to his anger and disgust.

But instead of forcing Tav to terminate the pregnancy he allows them to carry the baby to term while also gently warning them that a spawn and a mortal’s child isn’t very likely to live.

He even allows them to tell Halsin at the reunion party.

However when Halsin tries to come and be involved Astarion makes sure he’s kept far away from the Crimson Palace. Simply telling Tav, “you know how fickle Halsin can be, I’m sure he’s simply too busy with his hoard of orphans. But don’t worry little love, I’ll always take care of you.”

He tolerates his consort reeking of Halsin’s stench for 9 months, pretending to be loving and supportive while they carry another man’s child.

As soon as the infant is born, Astarion’s mood changes as his mask slips off. Tav panics and cries to be given their baby, suddenly realizing Astarion intentions.

He has the infant killed right there in the room as Tav is held down screaming and fighting.

He uses his power over them to alter the memory of their perfectly health baby being killed in front of them so they believe that it was still born.

With Tav’s memory successfully changed they simply cry and ask to hold their baby just one time.

“I’m so sorry my love” Astarion holds them and comforts them as the now dead infant is given to them to hold.

He allows them to grieve the little bastard, once again playing the loving master they adore so much.

“It’s not your fault my love, the infant was simply too weak. But not to worry, I’ll give you a new child. A strong child, with the blood of the ascendant. As many children as my dear consort desires.”
