There's something special about Moon being the only side of the DCA who has canonically (gameverse) voiced his counterpart's name ("No more Sun", which yes it's not him directly saying Sun's name since it's a figure of speech, but still) whereas Sun - the chatterbox - only refers to Moon via "he" or "other me". Moon, the quiet one who mostly laughs vs Sun who mostly uses words. Sun, who is scared of Moon, never utters his name whereas Moon clearly has no problem with it. Both of them using "we☀️/us🌙" prior to Eclipse. Moon, whose only opinion of Sun we can infer is "the other me trapped me in light so now I trap him in shadow", vs Sun's whole thing which is profoundly more fleshed out.

I don't know man, the "no more Sun" line always did things to me. I remember playing Ruin for the first time and getting this... jarring emotion when I heard Moon saying that. It's such a small line but good god did I latch onto it.

I believe I talked about that in the past (mostly on twitter) but: when Sypha gives birth, the kid has two VERY cool dads (one is basically immortal vampire with really cool fighting skills and abilities, the Dracula's son and another literally slayed Death and came out alive) and a VERY badass mom.

Sypha, Alucard, and Trevor all have separate beds in case of needing some privacy, but most of the time they share one huge Alucard's bed.

Alucard actually commissions a painter of all four of them, just like the family portrait he had with his mom and dad when he was a baby. They hang it somewhere in the castle, somewhere significant for them, but if others from the village can see, it doesn't matter. They don't hide that they're in a relationship and that they love one another very much.

Trevor and Sypha stay in a relationship with Alucard until the day they say. That probably happens separately, so when only two of three of them are alive, they're grieving together. They help each other go through that grief (and their kid). For some reason I want Trevor to be the alive one (probably because I want to see them care for each other), but my logic tells me that it's going to be Sypha cause she's way smarter for her own good lol.

Though, don't fret, they work perfectly as a polycycle! That's the logic of it. When two of them can't do something, the third one is happy to help and does it flawlessly (or at least to the point that it works, cause sometimes all three of them are acting like dumbasses, heh.)

In short, it's a very balanced relationship where they love and respect one another.

(On, and don't get me started on sex between the three. Pregnant Sypha that still wants sex and they have so much fun together.)

One of the things Anne Rice was very good at was when she introduced a character in a book who was seen in a certain manner, only to introduce their POV in a later book that would either turn the previous characterization in its head or would give it more depth (or maybe both).

The most famous case is, of course, Lestat, and also Armand, I would say. These are the best ones, and the ones most talked about.

I wasn't expecting this in the books about the Mayfairs but it was a nice surprise to see she did it with Julien. We only knew him by the Talamasca archive and outside sources, so it was very entertaining to read him narrate his life.

It added more depth to him, even if I think he mostly downplayed his most monstrous acts (with the exception of Katherine's rape, this was truly atrocious and even more so in his own words) but it was very interesting to see how he saw himself.

I liked to read that he and Lasher had a more tense relationship since Julien had the (rightful) suspicion that if Lasher ever realized his desire of being flesh it would be his family's ruin. But tbh I don't believe Julien when he says he never loved Lasher. I think he didn't want to love him since he knew how dangerous he was, but I don't think he could help it. Lasher was his lifelong companion, lover, confident, a being who could read his thoughts and that gave Julien everything he wanted, and even if he downplayed it in his own narrative, in the Talamasca file it was clear they had a lot of fun together.

And also, Lasher is the kind of being who enjoys being adored by his witches, so if fear and hatred where the only things he got from him I don't think Lasher would have let him live such a long, fullfiling and happy life and I don't think he would have remained so close until the end if this were the case.

Because at that point you have to special order bras, (which shouldn't be an issue for him). Or he could eschew that and instead use maternity bra liners and attatch them w medical tape.

Honestly? Yesterday I watched a rainstorm start over the mountain near my work. It has barely rained all summer, but the sun came up and painted the mountain red and the rain was grey and soft over the top and I almost cried because I am happy to be alive and watch the rain.

(Fic-writer ask)

1. Do you prefer writing one-shots or multichaptered fics?

Both? There are benefits and downsides to each. One shots are quick to write and I (generally) think I do a good job of packing a lot into a smaller word count, but there is a limit to how much ground I can cover in that space. Multi-chapter fics are fun because I can say so much more and work a lot of turmoil into the story, but I have to keep my own attention on just one thing for long enough to finish (which has been harder lately).

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?

Lol well. Both? I have a general outline of events for longer stories and I feel out the tone and emotional beats as I go. Sometimes I get really into it and have to throw out the outline entirely (this happened in both Wander and Your Fate, actually) because I've found a better resolution. If anything doesn't work, I can always fix it in editing.

23. Best writing advice for other writers?

Actually, on that note: editing is not your enemy! Have fun with it. I took a writing class in college with this professor who adored the process of editing. For one assignment, we had to print out our whole project and line it up vertically somewhere- stuck to a wall or hung on a line. I clipped mine together and pulled each page off as I read it (like one of those old calendars) without touching or changing anything and it gave me a totally different perspective of the process.

Editing is not making something perfect; it's a journey in and of itself, a lovely part of writing because you finally get to see all of your own work together even if it's not quite there yet, and I love it. So, get creative with editing. Transfer it to a new format (that you can't change, preferably) and read it with fresh eyes (you can always make notes on the side if your feel compelled). Or read it aloud or hang it on a laundry line or doodle in the margins.

So in short, my writing advice is: have fun with editing! Editing is your friend!

75. What scene in [fanfic name] took the longest to write? What was difficult about it?

Hmm well, I'm going to take this generally. I think the scene in Wander when Emma and Cullen are talking in the library after he pulls her unconscious from Darktown. It was hard to decide how much she would tell him about how she's really doing and how much she'd hold back and it went through a lot of iterations before I was happy with it. I wanted it to be clear that they still love each other even though they've both changed so much, but they aren't really ready to trust each other (or themselves) again. It was a tough balance to strike, but I think I got it eventually!

I've been doing interludes lately (as you do during an interlude campaign) and the gap in quality and character analysis is insane sometimes. I did Qsh and Nezha's back to back and... Night and day over here. Qsh's was so charming and showed me a new side of my beloved moth, as well as some really cute gap moe moments. I mean ofc there's some fun in making alien space robots similar to us because this is how we can relate to them better. We project our own (human) experiences on them because it feels good. Because on one hand we know they're piles of sentient metal but on the other hand ouugh... hugs nice amd somft... even tho it hardly makes any sense. Lazy mind likes nice things and it's ok to be lazy sometimes and have fun like that.

AND THAT BEING SAID AND OUT OF THE WAY - RAMBLING TIME

Because sitting comfortably in what we know is nice but so is exploring the Unknown and Different!

Tl;Dr at the bottom.

Sure some characters are child- or elderly-coded for an obvious reason of showing who has more experience. We get enthusiastic, big eyed OwO babies like Terrans or Bee (to lesser extent but still, I mean look at TFA) and we get old guys with tired voices like Ratchet or even with facial hair like Alpha Triton. And it's easy to establish without confusion who's more and who's less experienced! Clear and easily noticeable, petty important in media that's just an elaborate toy ad!

Which made me think... How would it work if it all were more realistic? Or what would be the realistic reasons for Cybertronians to be like that?

What if they choose to present themselves in a certain way to show their age or the age they feel as? New shiny paint job and nice parts to keep up with trends and show that they care for themselves vs not caring for the shiniest coat and choosing functionality, same with keeping older parts that show different times they went through or because they're more reliable or comfortable than the new models. Much like buying a cool jacket and dying your hair a crazy color vs sticking to an outdated but signature suit with some order pinned to it and letting your hair go gray.

This then leads to the concept of Cybertronians not presenting their age. Because the specific parts are too expensive or just not available. Because they want to seem older or younger because they prefer some old model parts due to how they work. Because their specific frame doesn't have much variation in certain part models.

This can also tie to how they feel. Maybe there's a very old TF who looks and behaves as a much younger one just because they feel like it and like keeping up with trends. Because despite their experiences they still feel or choose to feel young.

Maybe there's a much younger one who looks much older because they just like the way outdated shapes look on them or are more functional / comfortable. Maybe they're not doing well mentally and are already more traumatized by war than an older but younger-looking buddy.

Maybe in this case the older one is just doing better mentally due to the experience with coping or worse and their coping is forgetting the trauma. Or they live in denial. Or have a "mid-life" crisis. Hence the behaviour of a young bot. Meanwhile the younger but older-looking one is doing worse because idk, they had a rough start and/or their coping skills are shit and they're bitter and have very visible PTSD. And that's why they behave like an old war veteran.

So looking at a TF you could probably guess their rough age sometimes based on looks and behavior but othen you could get so many contradicting clues. It's like if a human had a wild mix of old and young features and the image was blurred further by their fashion choices and behavior.

Think how many times you hear someone's young voice (both in terms of sound and the manner of speech) or about someone's childish behavior but then turns out it's someone much older than you imagined. Or the other way around, you listen to someone say very wise things in a very experienced voice but turns out it's a well-educated college kid who caught a bit of cold and their voice is raspy. Same with Cybertronians but blur the image further.

This is also why something that would make sense for a near-immortal alien species could get a human cancelled for depicting. Those who go with "Cybertronians are age-coded because it's to show human issues through the sci-fi lense" will say BlitzBee is bad because it's adult x minor but those who go with "it's literally robots from space who probably start off as adults from day one and if not the age gaps stops to matter at most after a century" won't have an age-gap based problem with it at all.

And just with experience alone and disregarding looks - imagine a tf made for a certain task and they perform it like an adult would from day one. But throw them into a different situation and they're just as lost as a baby in a forest. I have a few OCs like this, respected pro in one field but absolute baby once their world gets turned upside-down. Real fun.

Now regarding age and growing up - sparklings. Where do cyber-babies come from?

So you see, when a mommy-bot and daddy-bot love each other very much... Yeah, well, this is certainly something you could go with and even make it make sense! I do it sometimes. Look, monkey brain wants what monkey brain recognizes and relates to with least effort, ok? Ok. I'll talk about cold-constructs and other canons/headcanons in later paragraphs. If you really dislike it you can skip to a next mark like this:

I think that some tfs could totally get a kid this way. They can but don't have to be a "femme and mech" or "carrier and sire" or whatever terminology you decide to use. I just think that it could be neat if two (or more! get yourself that polyclue!) Cybertronians could mix the life energy of their sparks so much so there's enough for another one or more to develop. Man, imagine if humans could come to be only if their soul were created with pure love from their parents...! Say what you will but that's pretty alien to me lol. It's ok to not like that version tho.

My personal hc is that such new spark would grow living metal around itself and after some time (years? decades? more? less? varying depending on the circumstances?) would take a form of sth like an egg, not necessarily egg-shaped tho. Then it can live outside the parent's body and transform, their "egg" slowly changing into their altmode. I like to think "egg for an altmode" could be an insult in some parts of space lol

How long till sparkling becomes an adult? Do they grow up faster than humans because they're more advanced? Slower because living metal takes longer to grow than flesh? How about mental growth, do they start out with some pre-installed knowledge or do they have to learn manually or download updates? Or a bit of both? How long does it take and what does it depend on? Fuck if I know, go wild and have fun with the concepts!

[Edit: forgot to mention and putting it here. A tf can also come to be when a divine power brings a regular machine to life giving it spark and sentience. How much such a tf knows? How much experience they have? Maybe they're only experts in their narrow field tied to their alt and are baby-level regarding other topics? Sorry but it's 6am and I've been writing this since 4]

And now, forging. Look, idk much, I read the wiki articles long ago and watched very little of canon media but what I get is that a Cybertronian can come to be either from a naturally forged spark and frame from the living crust of Cybertron (or some titan) or be cold-constructed as in spark taken from where it developed and frozen till a mass-produced frame for it is ready. Yes, there apparently can be also cloning or other mitosis but imma allow myself to skip that.

Now how could a naturally forged one work I've seen covered in many fan continuities and I really like the the concept of them starting out smaller and less knowledgeable. Probably needing a paren- uhh I mean mentor or having to live in a school/preschool/kindergarten of sorts... Yeah yeah, baby-coded, I know; monkey brain, remember? They could ttly sprout from the ground as young adults tho. Sorta like gems in Steven Universe - popping out ready to whatever awaits!

But this may fit better the cold-constructed ones. Their frames adult from the start, probably with some extra upgrades already... And than they go online and just learn about what to do! Or are told to just download some updates to spring right into a more experienced adult from day one, why not.

Also I'm a fan of a cold-construct's need to modify their frame to better fit what their spark would've been if allowed to grow the frame on it's own. Do you think space robots would have mad dysphoria sometimes? Fearing heights when there's wings on their back, wanting to swim when their frame would sink instantly, feeling like lightest version of their gear is too heavy for them despite their strong frame?

Do you think they tend to crush on tfs with frames they would've been because their sparks recognize what they need and long for? Do you think they would hate them due to bitter jealousy? Do you think they'd know why they feel like that? If processor is the brain and spark is the soul I don't think so. How repressed is their spirituality in the times of war? Do you think they would start self-discovery when given the chance...?

Well that took an existential turn. Let's switch to gender.

Earliest TF cartoons where marketed mainly towards boys so ofc all the space robots were boys, with a token robot girl or two added later on. Some peeps shit their pants when they see a continuity where an usually "male" character gets turned into a "female" or what's even worse, an enby. Hurr-durr the show is woke. "They're alien space robots! Why gender them!" Yeah, right, why they all gotta be boys? Why just boys and girls?

Realistically speaking I think gender fuckery can be even more wild and free in whatever alien species (and especially robot ones) than humans cursed with gender dimorphism. Some hc that tfs start out always as he/him 'cuz they only have one gender and just sometimes choose to change that when introduced to a possibility to being an opposite, both ot neither.

But that begs the question - what is gender to a robot? They don't need sex. They don't need genitals. Oftentimes in fanon I see that all have both sets or all have none. Creating offspring also isn't related to it. It can be, if you want. If creating sparklings from two or more adults is sth you enjoy then you can have it in a humanized way or keep the act of creation as purely spark-to-spark. But as mentioned earlier, babies don't have to be a thing in a continuity.

If sparklings are not a thing or are created without anything sex-related and therefore there's no bodily dimorphism then what do they base their gender on? Is it gonna be altmode? All boats and ships going by she/her by default? Is it as an honorary title, like a renowned medic or leader being referred to as xe/xir to show respect? Are certain model lines referred to differently? Or maybe there's two groups from different backgrounds and to differentiate members of one group go by she/her and members of other by it/its?

And sure going with vibes makes most sense! And it can but doesn't have to go with presenting a certain way. Bet tfs choose specific paints and parts and change their voice based on the vibes they want for themselves and a given set of pronouns they prefer isn't any different from a more or less angular spare part or tinted visor or shimmery paint or or or-

So yeah, personally I don't think they have gender, certainly not a biological one / one based on how their frame is built. They just have vibes. And we call it gender because this is how we relate. Shout out to an old toolbox with a jar of various screws and nails - gotta be one of my favorite genders.

Tl;dr - it's ok to imagine your robotic blorbos as having as many human traits as you want, sometimes this is what your brain needs and that's perfectly fine. And whenever you wanna spice up your continuity with something way more alien and otherworldly - go for it! Have fun! Be wild, be free! There's so many possibilities! And also - you can put your faves in as many different iterations as you want! Go ahead and put your human-like one on the shelf right next to the pure alien one and then make ten more ;)

Actually I have a hot take that's been brewing on my mind a little in regards to Cybertronian society and physiology and stuff so like

I've said it's annoying when people impose human gender binaries on the genderless alien robots with no sexual dimorphism, but honestly I also find it annoying when people impose human standards of childhood vs adulthood on the non-organic robot aliens who are almost always born/built immediately having all of the faculties of what we would call an "adult," just lacking in actual worldly experience.

Obv there are exceptions like the recent Earthspark where the Terrans are explicitly children/child-coded

But it's honestly just so weird to me sometimes sjdkshfjd people will be like "awwww baby" to Bumblebee and ma'am that's literally a grown man. Also what functional difference is there b/t a robot that's 4 million years old vs 5 million years old when their race is technically near immortal. Like why are ppl calling Rodimus a child out there when dude is literally the same age as or just slightly younger than characters like Optimus

It's not nearly as annoying or offensive as when people put cisheteronormativity in a culture that wouldn't have it, but like. Am I the only one who finds it really boring to impose human ideas of age on alien robots ESPECIALLY when it comes to basically recreating "oh here's mommy and here's daddy and here's the baby" like sigh

okay, so when i created this blog last year, i didn't have much time to write something for valentine's day, but i thought that i should try and write something for it this year!

♡ ruggie didn't really pay much attention to you at first, but he has to say that you're really fun to mess with. he never gets bored of seeing your reactions and sometimes he would steal stuff from you just to make you look at him. he knows that it probably sounds weird, but don't worry, he definitely doesn't have a crush on you, haha.. hey, why are you being so kind to him? why do you cook/buy food for him? why do you keep asking him if he needs any help? ah, maybe you just want a favor from him? you want him to help you with something, don't you? why would you have any other reason- "i'm just worried about you, that's all." oh no. oh no he's about to catch feelings.

♡ chenya himself thought you were quite interesting and he was even more surprised when he found out that you came to rsa secretly from other students just to see him. haha, you really betrayed your own school like this for him! wow, y/n, that's something only a lovestruck person would do! but he has to admit, he likes you even more now. just what kind of person are you? you're so full of mysteries and chenya isn't sure if he wants to know all the answers or it would be more interesting to keep it this way.

♡ and yeah, it turned out that rollo really wasn't the best person to trust. he hated magic with all his heart and he wanted it to disappear. and it was hard for him to choose between his growing love for you and his hatred for magic, but then he managed to convince himself that he's doing all of this for your own good and in the end you'll have no other choice but to agree with him. after rollo is defeated, he expects you to hate him as much as others hate him, but to his shock.. you forgive him. you had to deal with six overblots, even though nrc students saved the day this time, it's not like they're much better than him. so yes, you think rollo still can change and you want to give him a second chance.

♡ after that, rollo's love for you becomes even stronger. he can't stop thinking about you and it's hard to tell if he's in love with you or he's obsessed with you. when you have to go back to nrc, it gets even worse and everything around rollo reminds him of you. he really wishes you could spend more time together and he wasn't so focused on his plan. he's gonna be honest, he doesn't really regret doing.. well, all that, but the fact that he could use that time to talk to you more makes him think that maybe.. maybe trying to steal everyone's magic wasn't a good idea. yes, he thinks so only because he could spend more time with you instead of taking everyone's powers. listen, he needs some time, he will change. probably. maybe.

I was freezing when I decided to go to bed. I drank wine, but not as much as when I'm in Paul's company. It's night, and even with alcohol, Martha, and a fireplace, nothing seemed to warm me up. Maybe I missed Paul.

It had been a couple of days since he slept with me. Get Back and Twickenham were taking up a lot of his time. He seemed grumpy when he got home, but always took some time to cuddle with me as if the external problems that working with his band for the past 18 months were causing. Martha had become my biggest companion in this house, following me wherever I went.

When I got into that bathtub, I didn't think I was that sleepy. I dozed off lightly, and when I felt the water getting cold, I decided to get up, dry off, and go to bed. Martha had been sleeping in her bed for ages. There were some beds scattered around the house for her to rest, as she was a very calm dog. I put on one of Paul's shirts to feel like he was there with me... I had no idea what time he'd be back and he hadn't confirmed anything with me. I inhaled his scent embedded there and turned to the empty side of the bed.

It didn't take long for me to fall asleep. I didn't know if it was the alcohol, the tiredness, the longing... I just know I fell asleep. But it wasn't light sleep, as I woke up every half hour to turn over. Until I felt a chaste kiss on my lips but no weight on the other side of the bed like I wanted. Paul had arrived but hadn't lain down. I could hear his footsteps on the stairs followed by the jingling of Martha's paws. I was alone in that room and it left me feeling colder and longing for their company.

Wrapped in a blanket, I went downstairs feeling small and fragile. I didn't care that the king-size blanket I was wrapped in was dragging on the cold floor.

I heard the sound of piano notes in the living room, something between C Major and a murmuring voice. Paul rarely came home from work and continued working. It wasn't difficult, but Paul didn't like to bring work home. I thought he might be stressed enough not to lie down or not be sleepy.

I approached the piano, saw his figure with downcast eyes, long lashes brushing his cheeks. Paul hummed quietly, noticed my presence, and stopped playing, focusing his attention on me.

"Did I wake you, love?" he asked in an affectionate tone. His tired eyes opened wider.

"No," I replied sleepily, coming closer to him.

"Sit here." He tapped his left leg and made room for me to sit on his lap.

I sat, wrapped in that blanket. Paul adjusted his arms to give him mobility to play the piano keys in front of him, and I hugged him around the waist, snuggling against his larger body.

"S' Much better this way..." he said, his accent strong and drawling, his voice low and husky. I could feel the vibration of his voice and hear his heartbeats. I rested my chin on his shoulder, and he stole a kiss from me. His now-full beard tickled my cupid's bow.

This was what was missing. I felt so relaxed in his company. Paul continued to play the piano.

"Couldn't sleep?" I asked, my eyes were almost closing again.

"No, love. I came home with a melody pounding in my head." He answered, still playing the piano. He smelled of tobacco and herbs. He had been smoking more than usual, and I knew he was stressed. "I'm sorry for bringing work home. I don't have the lyrics yet, but the melody got stuck in my head because I played it at Twickenham before coming here. I was the last to leave the studio today."

"I'd never be upset with you for that. Y’know." I rubbed my face against his beard. "Can you show me the melody?" I asked, sleepy. Martha was already snoring at our feet.

Paul kissed my forehead and continued playing the piano, murmuring some words. I struggled to keep my eyes open.

"Once there was a way..." he sang softly, playing the piano with his leg rocking me to sleep. He was making up these lyrics, or I didn't have such a sharp taste in lullabies like that. "To get back homeward." He repeated the sung sentence, my eyes closing slowly. I felt like a child again. Paul warming the chilly room, the blanket wrapping us like a cloak. "Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry... And I will sing a lullaby."

It didn't take long for me to fall asleep there in his lap, listening to him humming that song. I felt at home and knew I was home.

"Sleep well, princess," he whispered, and suddenly I couldn't hear the musical notes he had played earlier on that piano.

The more I believed I wasn't a book puritist, the more this show is trying to make me one because what are they doing?

Everything is inconsistent from episode to episodo and from season to season, like they're not even trying to make it believable

The only good thing is fr Daemon plot and this does shock me because I wouldn't have believed it before lol

And they're kind of making me feel angry about the green (alicent the most, because what are you doiiing? Not even on a book!alicent point, but from the same shows, she is always something different and it's humiliating really)

Idk, i try to take all with a light heart but... it's still able to make me quite mad

i mean it's a really disappointing season

i've said it before in my critiques, we can argue all day about characterisation (maybe some actually see aemond as an emotionless psycho, maybe some actually buy that alicent would sell out her own sons for rhaenyra), but there is little to no buildup for these HUGE changes and they don't even make sense in the context of the story. the greens are so, so emotionally flat and one-note melancholy with stunted dynamics. if they don't give a shit about each other, why and even HOW could the audience? where is the tragedy? ok, you want to make those changes from the books and create completely different versions of these characters: you have to make me believe it, man. you have to put in the work.

but these writers don't even understand the politics of the world they are inhabiting. they're not fixing any plot holes from the books, they're creating more. how the heck is house hightower JUST fine with having TWO members of their family dismissed in quick succession from the small council? who is financing this war? uncle hobert should be writing angry letters to aemond demanding appropriate reparations or else the hightower armies go back to oldtown. if they are not going to advance their own interests further as a house, why are they fighting this pointless war? tyland lannister should have given aemond some lip back for his attitude since house lannister has resources (i.e. armies, ships and gold) that aemond needs. these people have power! we've already seen the riverlords take no shit from daemon and he has a dragon too!

i've said this already to our dear @stannisfactions, so i'm gonna repeat myself here, but if alicent somehow became convinced that aemond was so off the rails he was going to get helaena killed................ there are ways around that that DON'T involve selling out your entire family to rhaenyra (certainly your male relatives, even the ones who didn't do a damn thing to you, like your brother, your uncle, your cousins, YOUR OTHER SON (THE NICE ONE), who are only following YOUR lead at the end of the day, because YOU put aegon on the throne and told them to mobilize forces and declare for him and now rhaenyra will see them all as traitors.

has everyone forgotten how to stage a castle coup? i know vhagar is big and scary, but she's parked way outside KL and aemond is just one man who was NOT shown to hustle for his own connections and personal network of friends. smack him in the damn head and throw his ass in jail!! tell everyone else the now-conscious KING aegon told you to! alicent was ruling queen for many years, it makes no sense for her not to have her own resources and courtiers who could help her do this.

can you imagine joffrey baratheon, surrounded by lannister guards loyal to and paid by tywin lannister, whose war is financed by the lannisters, dismissing tywin or cersei (or even tyrion) from his small council? are you laughing yet? why doesn't alicent have her own private army of hightower guards loyal to HER? unless you want (and need) her to be the stupidest person alive so that you can write your rhaenicent fanfic 🤌

they want to humiliate alicent so much to „punish” her for ~choosing the patriarchy~ instead of her bff rhaenyra and girl power. it's such an overdone storyline. other shows, books, media have done it to death, why is it in my dragon show, too? she can't have been a competent regent for viserys and not know how to do these things or not have acquired the resources to do them if necessary. how can she be both competent and incompetent when the plot requires it? it's giving wanting to still have the cake after eating it and throwing it into outer space
