Ultimately the resolution of Jason and Cass fights comes down to the fact that while he has his own ideals that don't mesh with the bats, Jason can be flexible. DC skipped the whole reconciliation with the family but while he's willing to kill it's generally a means to an end to him, not the whole entire point unless you're talking about Joker. Meanwhile for Cass the question of killing vs not killing is dead serious to her which means any time they're working together and things start going off track it's like:

Jason: Look if we kill this guy we send a message to his boss which makes it easier for us to negotiate with him from a position of power and I just think that-

Cass, snatching one of his guns and pointing it at her own head: Go on, pull the trigger. Kill him. Kill me. Go tell Batman that you let his daughter die to make a negotiation easier. He already let you die so no problem right? You think we should die? You think our life only worthwhile as part of a plan, just because we're killers? Are we doomed? Are we rotten to the core with no hope of redemption? Go on then, kill us and kill part of your soul alongside it. You clearly don't care for it so why are you even trying? Kill yourself along with us, come on Jason let's all just die right?

Postcolonial Astrology: Reading the Planets through Capital, Labor, & Power by Alice Sparkly Kat is my current non-fiction read and so far, it's very good

i'm reading a lot of comics at the moment, but my main read is Manhunter (2004) which so far, is very good, i highly recommend. i'm also planning to read Midnighter (2007) and Black Widow (2014).

coffee or tea: tea. i used to be a big coffee person in my teens but my chronic illness doesn't like caffeine and it *really* doesn't like coffee so i just drink tea now, but i do love tea

hobby to try: the unrealistic hobby i'd like to get into a fanfiction binding, but that takes materials and resources i do *not* currently have. i think a more realistic answer is i've been meaning to get into marvel comics more.

current au: tbh the main AU i'm working on is a Lance Brunner-centric Post-Crisis fic where i'm completely rewriting his origins to make his death as Robin more significant but still something no one talks about, leading to the ressurection of Jason also reviving Lance and Jason going on his little spree, having no idea he's not the only dead Robin. i've figured out all of the backstory and how i want to characterize Lance, but the actual plot of the fic i'm still working out. i'm leaning toward Lance/Dick as a ship, but i haven't decided. i have so many notes and ideas though and i think it's funny to take a random one-off character from a random 60s comic and actually turn him into something substantial and how he'd shape the Batfamily. trust me i'm so close to infodumping about it here everyday.

i'm also working on a *really* messed up unhealthy Damian/Tim fic, where Damian purposefully breaks the timeline so Tim was never Robin and Damian was the third Robin instead. but when Bruce "dies" Damian realizes he has no idea where to start with finding Bruce so he has to go to a civilian!Tim for help, who has no idea the timeline was changed or that he was ever Robin in a different world. it's gonna be fun and fucked up and full of Damian's jealousy complex over Tim.

i think my problem with a lot of the tails and wave content that’s out there (besides the ship content we all know that’s the bottom of the barrel) is that people… LOVE to make tails win in the end. and like. i’m so sorry but no the fuck he would not LMAO

listen, LISTEN. i know i’m biased as a wave girlie, but seriously. wave’s whole thing is that she not only gets under his skin and outdoes him, but that he’s just simply not at her level when it comes to mechanics. inventions? whole other story, there’s a mandate restriction shimmied in there somewhere about eggman and tails. mechanics? EXTREME GEAR??? run, dude.

in the end, wave is very clever and also mean. tails isn’t going to get a last minute victory or upper hand, he isn’t going to “school her” or put her in her place… he is going to get bullied by her. sure he can land a few hits back but unfortunately wave isn’t going to give him the time of day required for him to even rebuttal.

I completely forgot Easter was supposed to be a Catholic holiday not just "chocolate day" so uhhh how you usually commemorate it ? I'm now a bit curious since the chocolate always have been my focus

In my family, we fast on Good Friday (tho i guess i won't be allowed this year given my meds have to be taken with meals😔 just because i'm exempt doesn't mean i wouldn't wanna fast but oh well), we don't do much on saturday, paint eggs, most often, and then on sunday you have the whole morning mass - get the eggs, bread, ham, salt and the rest of the Easter breakfast foods blessed, eat after mass and so on.

The biggest festivity of the day is, of course, egg-cracking, which is when we have a battle royale where everyone grabs an egg and tries to use it to break the opponent's egg. Well, kidding, but it's a pretty fun way to go about eating eggs lmfao

Tbh i don't really remember chocolate being much of a thing in my family's Easters, chocolate eggs are, actually, a Christmas thing for us, though you can by Easter-themed chocolate bunnies and eggs, too.

In any case, it's a pretty chill holiday? By lunch, it's "over" really, though the leftovers of the blessed food (that doesn't get eaten before it went bad) do get buried rather than thrown away, I thought that was a bit peculiar, though I get why. Honestly the most grueling part of it is the Friday fast. I barely make it to midnight without a massive headache. The only way around it for me is by keeping busy but </3
