I love seeing the hairy SH art! PCOS / trans / wolf girlie, I stan all versions I see. We're not cowards here! The new band drawings are fire, still making my heartrate go jglcbxlw. And seeing the growth? Honestly it's magic to me, I think it's perfect then it becomes even more perfect and I'm just how?? How possible?

Also for Lae'zel's accent : yes, she would have such a harsh accent! As a foreign speaker, the pronunciation isn't always intuitive and is sometimes paradoxal. She probably never used some sounds, and it's hard to guess a lot of them. It's so inconsistent. I lack air in the middle of my sentences because of the tonal accentuations differences. Languages are crazy man. Lae'zel would have a stroke, struggling to say "library" with Gale correcting her.

I also wanted to share with you my recent victory : I passed my exams with unexpectedly high grades! It's been 10 years since I succeeded in anything school related, I feel strangely proud and hopeful. I attribute this partly to the intense hyperfixation for BG3. I can come back to this fandom and get comfort when I feel burned out and in need of motivation. Thank you for being part of it and sharing your blorbos with us. Good soup for our cold starving souls. So yeah, you and your art matter even if you find it bleh sometimes and you doubt yourself.

To pet a werewolf truly is the dream isn’t it, wereshart is prob my fav hc for her it just fits so well. I've been trying really hard lately to figure out how to draw her recently bc despite the art disparity her and lae’zel are neck in neck at being my fav characters. Seeing the growth in the bass drawing really gave me that boost of confidence that I'm at least slightly getting there lol

I truly do love Lae’zel in every form, but wet rat’zel rotates in my mind more than it should, sadly its not a hc I could ever commit to considering I can’t even remember Karlach’s canon tail lmaoo I really should just hc that karlach got her tail docked at this point, that or I need to make a checklist for her so I can go through and make sure ive got all her bits when I draw her

01.07.2007 - dont you know that im toxic we are alive. i hope you all enjoyed the holiday season. im at home right now, i just cleaned my room and played with dylan for a bit, i figured id check up on you guys, make your your behaving. whats new? im just pretty excited to still be able to hang with the flipflops during january in chicago. there are a few things i want to do while im home for the next couple of weeks, id tell you but if i fail to do them i feel like i'd be letting you down. as far as the photo album goes, ive been having some problems posting, as well as a lack of pictures to post. im sorry, it seems ive already let you down, gosh. please forgive me. oh well, ill think of some way to repair our friendship. maybe something sweet and chocolatey. sound good? ill be back later, you cant get rid of me that easy. - oh you know who...

02.19.2007 - our weekend starts on wednesday Either each of my fingers have been broken and bruised, or my computer fell into the ocean because its been way to long since this has happened. There have been many tacos consumed, and even more cups of black coffee poured down my throat. Maybe a glass or 2 of J.W. black, but who is counting, really.. The jukebox has been singing to the moonlight, who could ask for more? (theres a beautiful sky tonite) A couple showers a day to help pass the time and hair grazing my back makes me feel like I’ve got nowhere to be and every where to go. ABOUT THE LAST ENTRY:

Ok I thought Jon was joking... I still have absolutely no idea how anyone ever figured out his phone number from that. A lot of fans were working in teams to dial every combination of numbers you could come up with starting with Chicago area codes and several girls were trying to instant message guys in other bands who might have the right number. The buzznet crowd became really intense. The girl who ended up successfully calling Jon wouldn’t give anyone the number or talk about the convo. She only said it worked... and she didn’t seem like someone to be dramatic or lie so I think it might have actually happened? Maybe. I heard the site briefly had another message from Jon that confirmed that it happened, but I also heard that that brief message listed an actual number with directions to text. And then all of that was supposedly because the site got hacked... so basically I’m just going to end this here and say that there were a lot of rumors around Jon’s last post and nothing sounded particularly legit lol.

Other fans made joking comments about how Jon should just give us pictures of the cabin with cryptic directions so fans could stalk the band a little better... and several days later the band shared these pictures. The band had already left the cabin at that point, and it might have just been a coincidence in the timing that they were shared. But it was still pretty funny.

Last month, Baltimore pop-punkers All Time Low took to the road with Sugarcult for a series of shows on the West Coast. Here's some of what they saw, in words and pictures. Learn more at www.alltimelow.com.

#1------------------------------------------------------------ Ooohooo So last night we celebrated two awesome occasions...well 3 since matt's molars finally grew in...anyways yesterday was Haloween and our first night of our tour with Sugarcult. I must say, it is pretty strange touring with a band who I spent the better years of my middle school life watching on MTV. Regardless of where this band has been, it definetly didn't eff with their personalities. They were all super nice to us and each came up and introduced themselves. The show went pretty well but it wasn't a good judgement of our the whole tour is going to be because Sugarcult didn't even headline, the Eagles Of Death Metal did, and the tickets for $25 on Haloween night :) I'm sorry but I would never go to a show if those were the circumstances...I'd be out expanding my collection of holiday treats. Tonight the 'real' tour begins so we will see how it goes. We are playing Washington State University in Pullman Washington. We haven't done too many college shows, so this should be interesting...anyways before we got on the road a couple days ago we were couped up in Ben Harper's (formely of yellowcard, now in amber pacific) house/studio in long beach, CA working on our new CD :). We demoed some hot licks that were going to send over to our producer matt squire so that he can put in some input. I heard my blogs are going to be posted on the Alternative Press website for this tour, so if that's the case then...helll yeah! Well I just woke up from sleeping in the van so I am gonna walk out into the freezing streets of Pullman, WA crack my back and grab some Qudoba. Those kids are freaking crazy! Everyone seemed to be having a good time and we made some awesome new friends. I cannot stress enough, how cool the Sugarcult guys are. Which is really cool because I have been listening to those guys since 6th grade! Anyways before we played, matt thought it would be a good idea to have a fork and knife fight backstage...yeah it turned pretty ugly and we should have some footage online soon enough. That night we partied at 'The Christmas House'. Lets just say that I'm pretty sure alex made out with a dog...I really miss Hit The Lights :( Anways...we played Seattle after the college show and it was offf the hoooook. Everyone in the room was dancing and it got pretty redic. As soon as we told them the alex/dog story they went nuts. We met up with the Pink Spiders that night. We were nervous about that because we've heard some stuff...but for real those guys are the shit. There all super nice and we have no complaints about them. We have yet to tour with a band who we don't get along with (fingers crossed). We also heard that we may be doing a few shows with Cobra Starship in Dec, if that happends that would be sick. I'll keep you guys updated. Someone made us a bucket of the craziest donuts ive ever seen at the portland show last night!! They were reallly good. The crowd was as wild as usual and a bunch of kids were singing along. A lot of the same kids who saw us there on the Amber Pacific tour came back. Its always cool to see so many familiar faces,,,cough cough hint hint nudge...you get the idea folks! The next couple shows should be interesting...reno and vegas. I wont be able to gamble but at least ill be able to look at a lot of lights. We all have family comming out, so that should be exciting. I havent seen my brother and sister in ages and i know their gonna be wasted so that means they will be even more friendly :) Also Meg n Dia join up in vegas which is sick, SO SIKED FOR THAT!!! We met them on warped and their super nice. anyways i think its time, i go to In and Out because after this tour im not going to be able to go back for a while :( im going to eat there everyday twice a day until we leave Arizona. Ive attached pics from our set on the Epitaph stage at this years Bamboozle Left and also some pics of our acoustic set the 2nd day! First of all we showed up in Reno (shity city) only to find that only sugarcults crew was there and the show probably wasnt going on. We were welcomed by a hooker in a pink tanktop and no teeth asking if we had any shirts we could give her...Thankfully we have power windows and middle fingers. Thankfully zack was asleep or he might have took her up on some of her offers...he's getting desperate you know..just kidding! Anyways we decided to hang out with sugarcults crew for a little then start the drive to vegas early since it was 8 house. We got to go over the Hoover Damn which was sweet. It's seriously Vegas Vacation all over again! Anyways, we got to vegas around midnight and it was a fantastic site! My bro and sis were staying at the MGM so thats where i headed. Rian to the Excalibur, Alex and Matt to the Venecian and Zack to the Luxor. We all split up and hung out with our fam for the evening. My brother took me around vegas and boyyy was it interesting. I was approached by numerous drunk people. It was basically like an Ocean City, Maryland for older people. It's just a place for adults to drink, walk around drunk, act like teenagers and maybe gamble a bit here n' there. it was Akward to say the least. Anyways the next day was the show at the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay...probably one of the nicest venues we have ever played. We introduced ourselves to the Meg n Dia folks and got to know our new tour mates as we shared a dressing room. We soon found they are awesome people and they share a love for getting wild! The show was pretty cool, and the crowd was big. It was weird though because the merch was not in the venue, it was in the cassino haha. Anyways Vegas was an experience we wont forget, and I cant wait till we go there again. I hope the next time we go, were 21...actually nevermind because that would be three years :)stay rad, Jack #5------------------------------------------------------------ Lame! Tonight was our last show on the Sugarcult Tour featuring The Pink Spiders and Meg n Dia :( Damone will be taking our place on this great lineup. I am jelous that they get to join up! Anyways we made some lifetime friends on this tour and it was a great experience for everyone. Every single show was amazing and the fans never let us down. Traveling to bumfuck arizona and hearing a couple hundred kids sing your song is the coolest feeling ever. Sugarcult was very warming towards us and their personalities suprised the shit out of me. they were such cool guys and even when zack was sick they made him soup and gave him Emergen-C. WHO DOES THAT !?!? Thats like something my mom does...so in a way Sugarcult are our parents. They actually reffered to us as their younger brothers on stage. At the last show of the tour in Little Rock, Arkansas us and Meg n Dia ran on stage during "Bouncing Off the Walls" and started bouncing around and took over Tim's Guitar n Mic, Marko's (my twin) guitar and Airens Bass. It was so fun to bro down with a band that ive been listening to since middle school haha. Alex also got to soundcheck with sugarcult at Texas AM College because tim was at the hospital taking care of his sickness (i think he had a nasty cold). It was so crazy to see alex soundcheck with a band who for the past few years have held a special spot on my ipod and in my cd player :) I attached a pic of him sound-checking for fun. At the end of the show we said our goodbyes and gave our hugs. This is'nt the end of these friendships though, only the beggining...now we head home to write a new cd. Catch us on the road in the northeast in december when we head out with Cobra Starship! Stay safe, Jack

And hmmmmmmmmmmm let’s say that Mako’s closer to Kiri and Tai to Baku, but not by much - a bit because Mako’s a high energy type of kid and Kiri has energy to spare always, a bit because Tai is the quiet type and Baku’s good at keeping him busy and entertained with things in his comfort zone, but also because back when they adopted Mako Bakugou was... really scared he would fuck it up so Mako ended up growing closer to Kiri first, and because when they adopted Tai Baku was the only one he for sure wasn’t gonna accidentally hurt with his quirk so he grew closer to Baku first. Bakugou’s also better at keeping calm and working out what’s the problem when the kids cry (surprisingly) (Kirishima more often than not ends up crying with them) so since Tai gets easily overwhelmed he seeks him out often - ah well, in general they’re all really close, but, yeah. This is how it is.

* I decided to go with Jade the golem. And I love her immediately. And she is my new daughter. LOOK AT HER

* Its neat that monsters now have traits! Its kinda like the abilities from pokemon, but you can have several of them and pass them down through breeding to get useful stuff on unexpected monsters. Jade was lucky enough to start off with one of those in her randomly generated stats! I’ll imagine that water resistance will really come in handy! And the other one seems to be the golem monster’s default ability, which looks like it’d be really good on a young monster and potentially critically awful in the big leagues when everyone starts bringing out one hit KOs...

* Also apparantly the super sparkly jade golem comes from crossbreeding with a Lesione, which is basically Nessie: The Monster. Its one of the cutest new ones added in this game! There’s also a kinda ridiculous action figure octopus thing with dog ears, and the chubby acorn-hugging cat creature i showed in my last post, and probably some more ones I’ll discover later. Its quite fun as someone who only ever played the early PS1 games! How many monsters did I miss???

* Tho it is WEIRD that now the status screen completely lacks mood and care style meters! this is gonna be tough! Seriously, they still have the items to reduce stress and raise discipline, but now there’s no way to even know what your current level is. Care style meter was CRITICAL, you had to constantly make sure you weren’t raising your monster too tough OR too spoiled, otherwise it can lose lifespan or training efficiency... Also its odd but neat that now the shop has a bunch of high priced key items you can buy that increase training efficiency, decrease fatigue, etc. In MR2 you had to find those very rarely in dungeons. Its a good change, now its more directly linked to how good you are as a rancher, not just how lucky you get. I have a nice goal to work towards!

* Also I LOVE THE SHOPKEEPER FOR THIS COUNTRY I still love the FIMBA region shopkeeper too tho, cos she was a nice older lady who was apparantly either Colt’s actual auntie or just a friend of the family. It was nice to have a bit of minor backstory to your assistant, and some relationships between the npcs. BUT STILL I ADORE MYSTERY SHOPKEEP What a cool design!! I hope we get some sort of sidequest to learn more about Crow (EVEN THEIR NAME IS BADASS) And its just kinda comical and endearing that all their dialogue is super polite and normal even though they look like this POST APOCOLYPTIC DOOM WARRIOR Crow is best npc aunt/uncle/mysterious nonbinary headcanoning person of awesomeness

* I found concept art of the npcs! I haven’t even met Ayase yet, she looks cute! Crow looks even more adorable badass when you can see their full costume. I do wonder why on earth they changed the name though? I would have thought that Karass would be rendered as Cross in english. That would have been badass too! It doesnt seem like anyone else got a name change, except Shamoa -> Chamois which would be pronounced the same.

* Also have a look at this random cute wallpaper from the japanese site! I wonder what festival they’re celebrating? I don’t know very much about japanese holidays but it looks really fun! Also: Aroma stop being a dick to your brother XD And it seems AGIMA is confirmed as Age Island Monster Association, tho its funny that the writing is a weird mix of english with russian letters thrown in at absolute random. O_O And I just found out that apparantly FIMBA stands for Fraternal International Monster Breeders' Association according to the wikia. Thank you, whoever added this ultra hard to find fact! I’m not really sure what it MEANS, though XD I guess its just an awkward japanese writer being like ‘fraternal = twins’... probably...? But that doesn’t even make sense cos FIMBA is supposed to be the first monster guild, and IMA is the one that split off from it, instead of vice versa...

Oh and apparantly Karasu is the japanese word for Crow, so the name actually is the same between languages! I feel dumb now XD I wish i could learn another language someday.

* ANYWAY BACK TO THE ACTUAL GAME ITSELF LOL Another change seems to be that now instead of training being split up by different exercises or jobs, its different monsters that tutor you. Whenever you retire a high level monster they can be registered as part of the interface here, and get to stay forever as part of the bakground animation. Thats actually really sweet, I hope I succeed in making Jade a trainer so she can watch over the next generation ^_^

Tho it is a bit of a shame that now all the exercises are more generic and unanimated, I guess they couldnt manage it with these really awful faux 3D models. And GAH, Golem seems to have an even lower framerate than everyone else! its just so visually awful, it looks okay in screenshots and falls apart completely in motion, its like friggin rotoscoping! Also wtf is up with this odd misalignment on the default monster trainers? I thought this was a sign someone else had already played the cartirdge, but I mean.. I started a new game and all...

* ALSO! This game’s obligatory ‘we translated Errantry as something entirely different’. It’s just called SPECIAL in all caps. At least training is called training and shop is called shop this time...

* I got lucky and Jade’s personality means she likes the one food nobody ever likes, lol! Apparantly her biggest dislike is battles, tho. I’ll try and not fight too much with her, I’ll just keep it to the mandatory test battles to rise in the ranks, and like.. as an absolute last resort when we’re running out of money. I wanna be a considerate pet owner!

* OH MAN MEGA UNLUCKY! She also dislikes the fatigue recovery item. I cant even tell if its reducing her fatigue at all, but i expect the effect is reduced a lot.

* WELL I FUCKD UP I immediately ran out of money and had to enter a tournement, which poor Jade lost awfully due to my fail technique as a mom T_T She has really good attack and defense but like ZERO accuracy! So enemies couldnt do much damage to her, but they were winning for doing ONE point of damage to her while she kept missing them til the time limit ran out... I made the same raising mistakes the first time I played the first game as a kid, I guess its been so long that I totally forgot... IM SORRY MY SPARKLE CRYSTAL BABY I’LL DO BETTER AAAAA

* There are some cute occasional random events to spice up your monster raising. Yay! I just got this one where your assistants are arguing over whether the AGIMA official boss wears a toupee, and he’s like ‘pull my hair if you want to prove it!’

* Also I ended up passing Jade’s first birthday without any sort of progress at all, I’m just desperately trying to not go bankrupt while I spam accuracy training til she can actually hit something :P I’M SORRY JADE aaaa i hope my dumb decisions in the first damn week havent doomed her to eternal failure now!! ive wasted so much time trying and failing at tournements just to make enough money to keep training her, she’s so behind on all the training and she’s so stressed and i’m SUCH A BAD DAD T______________T

I’m on the flight home from Ibiza to Liverpool and this flight couldn’t be any more opposite to the one going. Everyone is pretty much done in and I must admit I’m no different. I’ve just spend a week in Ibiza the difference for me this this time is that I traveled as a solo traveler, not knowing anyone and with no real plan only thing I wanted to do was see Camelphat at Hii (they didn’t disappoint but we’ll get to that on another post).

I know Ive harped on about this before but as fun as being single is its hard sometimes when you want to do stuff and there’s no-one to do it with, be it gigs, walks or holidays. Ibiza is always somewhere I’ve wanted to go but no-one else has really wanted to go there. over the past few years I’ve muted the idea that I’d go on my own but I checked out and people laughed at me. last year was the first year I’ve been and it didn’t disappoint I was able to go with my sister and cousin and we had a ball. This year we planned to do the same again but one thing or another cropped up, life got in the way and no-one else was able to come. So after years of talking about going on my own I decided just to take the plunge.

This little post is about the general trip and little tips I picked up from people and what’s on offer for solo travellers. Im going to write one about the places we went separately, mainly for my memory so I don’t forget what went on!

Now Ibiza isn’t somewhere i though that people head by themselves unlike places like mainland Europe, Thailand backpacking or Australia but let me tell you I couldn’t of been more wrong. Soooooo very wrong!!! Yes there are huge groups of people on lads lads lads holidays, hen doos, stags doos and little groups of  people with their mates but I found there was equally as many people on their own too. To make sure I was stalked at sorry safe at every step of the way my beautiful little friends added me on find a friend. My mum as sister all ready stalk sorry I mean have me on there (I often forget this and my mum will ring asking how the motorway traffic is and ill be super confused but she’ll inform me that she checked the app before ringing.)

After a little bit of googling I managed to find a Facebook group of people that were heading out on their own and I also joined a few workers groups on Facebook too to see about cheap places to stay and things to do that wasn’t just clubbing (I know, I know what can I say Im cultured too). This started to give me a little bit of confidence that I wasn’t a total loon doing this and it was something people did.

I was torn about where to stay. I couldn’t find any hotel rooms for just 1 person and any that I could were so expensive and I really didn’t have the money for it. I ended up finding a hostel in San Antonio called Amistat. I’ve only ever stayed in a hostel once and that was with 5 other mates so it wasn’t bad but this was a week with 5 other strangers. However after a few reads of reviews and chatting to people on the FB I decided to book it. There are different rooms you can have a 10 bed mixed dorm for £12.65 a night, single sex female dorm with ensuite for £21 a night. They also do private rooms for 2 people that are ensuites for £75 a night. I opted for a female dorm facing the pool with breakfast included (although I only made it out of bed once for breakfast) I though “ah fuck it” (that phrase came up a few times this week). On reflection I wouldn’t get the breakfast again and save myself €6 a day and just use the lovely cafe called Cafe Hunza that’s opposite instead. The only thing I wasn’t sold on was the green pool. The colour was just a little uninviting. They did have a schedule things that the hostel were organising however we didn’t go on any of those and due to the shite weather that was forecast (bloody rain in Ibiza) a lot of stuff was cancelled in advance.

Speaking of weather in Ibiza. One thing I did learn was that never trust the weather report. It changes literally by the second. At one point I was looking at the weather and it was saying it was raining for the next 6 hours however I was outside and I could see the moon. Not a cloud in the sky. But when it rained. It really rained. Thunder lightning and flooding in the streets. But even when it rains on Ibiza it’s still better than a night back home. I’m from up north, weather doesn’t stop us going out. We just adapt. 

So back to the Facebook group. Someone on there had created a WhatsApp group for everyone that was going and I got added to that. I’d never felt as popular in my life my phone was pinging constantly. From that a few people who were there the same dates as me set up another WhatsApp group and started to plan our week about what wanted to see what where. While this was happening I made a friend on the internet (don’t worry she was an actual real person) who was staying in the same hostel and coming out and leaving on the same day! Winner winner chicken dinner. And it turns out she was bloody lovely and such a good laugh too. [Hayley you helped to make a awesome week even more awesome.] we also made another friend off the internet who was over 30 too Andy. And just like that we became the Brit’s abroad. 

Up cropped another WhatsApp group for guest list entries which gave you a heads up as to where you could get in for a little cheaper.  This came in very handy indeed!!

As I was trying to save as much money as possible I used the buses wherever I could or shared a taxi with other people. The buses are actually really good and run all through the night. The bus station was super close to the hostel (10 min walk) and the disco bus took you to pretty much all the places you wanted to go and also took you home. It for a bit crowded at times and it was a bit sweaty but the tunes and atmosphere on it was pretty much the same as this flight – bouncing on the way out and everyone passed out on the way home. 

I think I actually lucked out a bit with the hostel because it was only full on the first day and the last day too. For the rest of it there was only me and Linda in there which was pretty good! 

Depending where you eat over there will depend on how much you spend. Cafe Mambo actually in the day time is quite reasonable for very good portions but if you found little local cafes you could get a coffee for €1.60 and a breakfast for €5. The other thing we were doing to save money was getting food from the supermarket and storing it in the kitchen of the hostel. The only issue with that was it’s not open all the time. The first night on our way home we went in search of a kebab place and took a wrong turn and stumble upon a late night supermarket we ended up getting mini cheddar and a soggy baguette. I didn’t actually eat it I passed out and woke up cradling it with one bite missing from it!!

We pre drank every day and when the drinks are €20 each it’s pretty much the only way. Some places do drinks packages which do work out ok and once or twice we split this between 2 because there was no way we were drinking 6 drinks in on sitting when we had to make sure we got to the next place on the agenda.  

The hostel check out was 11am and my flight home wasn’t until 2040 so I made use of the lockers and went for a wander. I got the bus to Ibiza town and went for an explore and then hopped on a bus to Playa d’en Bossa for another mooch. I found a place that I could store my case and bag in and they also did showers for a freshen up. I was as happy as a pig in shite about that bit cause I was bloody roasting and needed to cool down before heading to the airport. That cost €26 and Linda told me what she did last time was had an early flight and her mates were in Ushuaïa so instead of checking in and heading back she went there dumped the bags had a shower and went out. Turns out this is pretty standard. Again also very ducking handy it’s cheaper and quicker than paying for a taxi back and too. 

So the cost overall was

£65 for flights 

£151 for accommodation 

I used £900 for spends which when you say it sounds a lot however an entry to a club ranges from €20-€60 depending where you go and we went to and we went to 9 different places in total that we had to pay on the door for which is about €300 just for getting into places. 

I can honestly stay I’ve had the best time ever. And this has spurred me on more to do more things on my own. I’m already thinking about where I can go next for a little weekend away. It’ll be the place with the cheapest flight and a few hostels. I’m not letting being on my own stop me from doing anything again. 

I actually have a ticket for The Amsterdam Music Festival in October but due to a lack of funds I highly doubt I’ll be going unfortunately. That will have to wait until next year I think. Unless I come into some money between now and then….Ill just have my own little rave instead
