Wanted to share this commission by Dash, who so lovingly illustrated my vision for Gunter's first wife!! Although Lorah's lived in my head since 2017, this is the first time I've had her drawn. Because I'm so thrilled over this art, I put together a little introduction for her!! you can read more about her below~

A Nohrian commoner whose known the kingdom's southern mountain range and neighbouring valleys her entire life, Lorah was a recognizable resident of her town even though she kept to herself. Learning the basics of herbal remedies from a young age, she would split her time between tending to the fields and easing the woes of the sick. In adulthood, she would chance upon meeting a Nohrian Great Knight during her town's annual spring festival. The couple's engagement, after seven years of courting, had become one of the most highly anticipated moments amongst the townsfolk.

*NOT the Nohrian Queen. I named their kid before I realized what Xander's mom's name was and by that point I was already ATTACHED (tell me Caterpillar is not the cutest nickname). So now the reason they share a name is lore relevant (which is a part of this fic!).

Okay now for one of the actual reasons why I tried out a new cheeb style:

Asking bc of commission and shop related stuff LOL I have a lot of charms sketched out but only a few fully colored, so I was curious to see if one chibi style was more preferred than the other <3

Wait ... I can finally say it. I can finally just say that I genuinely hate Fa.ust. The Walpur.gisna.cht scene I refer to all the time aside, she has also hidden logs from Hea.thcliff on multiple occasions, added notes about how what he says in them isn't what actually happens (which seems to lead me to the conclusion this woman doesn't know shit about literary devices, but it's always his logs she comes to make these comments on), AND has made multiple comments about his intelligence--I believe there's one line where she says something like, "That's the first intelligent/correct thing you've said, Hea.thcliff."

Say what you will, it feels like she deliberately targets him.

the omega/omega sincaraz fic where Jannik is an omega in hiding vs carlos embracing it sounds so intriguing. any chance at all you might write it someday?

obviously the moment i saw that prompt i had to start thinking it out in greater detail... of any of these concepts this is the one most likely to actually happen bc it's all about deconstruction and i find that more compelling than the pure id approach. "someday" is the right qualifier because i'm not a very fast writer and other wips take precedence but obviously by saying this i've probably just cursed/blessed myself with a burst of inspiration or something.

in other words... maybe???? (and if anyone else wants to take a shot in the meantime, go for it with my blessing.)

not directed at anyone in particular but i miss when this community was more of a community. when people actually talked to each other and socialized with people they didnt know in a friendly manner and didnt go around gossiping like highschoolers. i've been here since 2018 and most of the people i know here have been here for a while and are adults now, if they weren't already, so act like one. it feels like everyone's constantly at each other's throats and there's no room to breathe or even be empathetic or civil with each other when we should be. like it seriously in a way almost forgets with all the discourse and stuff that happens people forget real people are behind the screen, like real people that have feelings lol.

i get part of this is because there are so many proshippers rampant in the community now, i feel like there is too from what i've seen and i don't like them either but i feel like people need to get a life and leave it alone like if you don't like it just block and move on lol. it's really childish to be just dwelling on it and spreading more gossip . i honestly don't think the community is ever gonna return to how it was years ago and i don't have hope in it doing so but. it just sucks!!!

All that said though I think there's a lot of room for the ages to be up for interpretation, for the Askr siblings. But the key thing to me is that it was established Book 4 that Sharena has been an adult for some time (for Alfonse to say it like that), meanwhile it's established through Sanaki that Veronica is a young teen or even pre-teen. That's really what matters to me, when it comes to my own discomfort with romantically shipping Veronica with either of them, extending to Thrasir and Lif as well. I also feel like the bridal duo does a good job portraying that Sharena and Veronica's relationship is more of a mentor/role model thing, a family friend or a friend you consider family.

I think in terms of talking about weapons being used against palestine you have to do more than specify how a type of weapon is prohibited by international law. most weapons that are, like white phosphorus or thermobaric weapons, are prohibited against civilian populations. they are, however, legal to use against military targets. and israel has painted their fight - and so convinced many governments and their leaders - as being against hamas, a military target to them, and so using these kinds of weapons is okay because they're targeting terrorists and not civilians. terrorists, and not people. it's also just factually untrue to say the weapons are all outright banned under certain international laws. they are banned, but only if you can convince a government that those who are dying are people.
