At first, I was kind of at a loss on what song to use to vid for SoKai this year. Because, if I'm being honest, I started their video late. And I didn't really know if I had time to edit them this year. I knew that if I did make something for them, it would have to be with a shorter song (or a song edited to be short).

This song came to mind... and at first, I actually wasn't sure if I wanted to use it, because it's Max and Liz's song from the TV show "Roswell." And as much as I love SoKai, of course, I didn't know if I wanted to use Max and Liz's song with anyone else. But in the end... it also fits SoKai so well. And I'm glad that I DID use it, because I do think this video came out pretty sweet. I hope you all enjoy it. And happy SoKai Day:)

I genuinely believe the reason why VegasPro has rarely (if ever) gotten shitter between versions is because they sell it as version licences instead of through a subscription. They do not have the excuse Adobe has of 'Ooooh we'll patch it later ooooouguh you're paying for the free fixes!' - instead, they HAVE to ensure the new version has a reason for existing and for people to upgrade to it. It is also seriously one of my main examples of the 'Pirate-to-Customer Pipeline' - It's one of the many programs I yarrharred as a teenager that I've since gone and gotten a full license for. Being able to freely access it, to develop my skills with it and to grow accustomed to it was a major deciding factor in me going "Huh, I've got money now, why should I risk shady sites when I can just BUY this version?". 10/10 software would recommend. Just wish it didn't guzzle ram.

And sorry for the quality of some of the Angel footage. I couldn't find my Angel DVDs to be able to rip the footage, so had to record it from YouTube with my phone, if you can believe it. LOL

can anyone help me out with a sony vegas issue? its been really bumming me out and impeding my progress on my AMV. im on sony vegas 16 if that helps.

I'll try my best to describe it. So I load my project in, and as im playing back all the clips i have, eventually I'll run into an issue where the frame counter on the video preview suddenly freezes and begins displaying loading ellipses as such

the playback cursor will keep going without changing frames. pressing the pause button only has the play and pause highlighted at once, i can no longer interact with anything and then the program will whiteout as the Not Responding window pops up. I really dont know what to do about this, and it happens within minutes of loading in.
