Hello, hi, I'm back on this again
Finally got around to doing the next fusion of my free! SU AU: the souske/rin fusion - Sonora Sunrise (I really like this gemstone name)
I picked the stone mostly because of the colors it has. Red and turquoise/teal. To me, it felt like it fit in for these two, as, given that they're also rivals, they tend to be rather chaotic together, often bumping heads, so the red and cyan splotches made me think of their dynamic a bit.
They have a lot of fun together, and their personalities mesh well. Perhaps a little too well. Similarly to rhodochrosite, this fusion also has a tendency to get a bit carried away. With Rin's endless energy and passion, matched by souske, who also has his stubbornness and will, together they create one intense gem.
Sonora is definitely on the taller side, haven't really defined what everyone's height is, but I imagine his height to be around the same as sugilite or sardonyx from Su Canon. I was actually mostly inspired by sugilite for his design, I really liked the way her ripped style of clothes looked and the way her arms split from the shoulders. So I used it here.
He wields a giant battle axe, a result of souske's polearm and rin's blades (which I haven't drawn yet lol), which he bulldozes stuff with. I can imagine him having some sort of electric type power, but I haven't quite figured it out yet.
Also, although the rest find him cool, Haru doesn't really like him much, lol. As Sonora kind of embodies the aspects of rin and souske that he tends to find irritating. The two do tend to get competitive, though, because of course they do lmao and end up having fun anyway.
#back on the brainrot again#hate that my phone camera can't really capture colors that well. in the actual drawing they're way more vibrant#he's fun to think about; these two's bond is very fun and exciting as well#i wish i had another shade of teal available#this one leans too much into green#free!#rin matsuoka#souske yamazaki#gem au#steven universe

I love your redraws, you have one hell of a handle on the SU style. May I ask for advice regarding my Chrysocolla-Cuprite/Sonoran Sunrise?
• By submitting a gem I assume you have read the rules and agreed for me to judge •
I'd say you have in your hands some genuine good character designs! I would have sketched the other too but perfectionist me needs a full ref for them kjgkjfsgi
Okay so Sonora Sunrise. All I really did was change the eye's shadow color. To me, yellow feels more menacing + color variety. The gemstone was simplified to be easier to draw. I wasn't sure if the gemstone was a forced fusion but if it did, all I would have done was adding another line from the gem's lineart where the green and dark blue touches. Boots' colour were changed to match the upper part + given different lineart to show that they're armor (I think?).
At first I thought the weapon was a sword but since it didn't have a handle I assumed it was a club. Simplified it and removed the inner lineart because SU style be like that.
I'm sure I messed up the proportions because they now feel smaller than they actually are. Oops ^^'
For advice (observe as I say picky thing!)
I don't know know why some parts have shading and some don't. Like, that's oddly detailed and nothing else? I can't really complain about anything else. The designs have some really neat color combinations, proportions feel balanced and with variety. It is good character design, all I can do is encouraging you to keep drawing and experimenting to find what you're comfortable with!
And while Chrysocolla being a "Proto-Peridot" is fun, Cuprite is not a type of Quartz. BUT it is a toxic gem 👀
#bellnallart#if i messed up the proportions gimme a height chart and i can sketch out a fix#im glad you think i handle su well#im insecure about it. ive been messing with it for what feels a decade#gemsona#su#su future#others art#ask#steven universe#su gemsona#character design#su art#request

This is Malachite Sentinel from 2021, a personal favorite. It's one of those designs that sat in my to-do pile for years, until the right color scheme gelled in my brain. What finally kicked the project into high gear was the stone in the ellipse to the left of the dragon. That bit of reddish-brown was the balance I wanted with the color scheme - it provided an interesting accent color that I don't usually think of using with "malachite" colors.
There's a lot of stuff involved in this project... The dragon and its light-colored surroundings is a single layer, and was done with watercolor, Prismacolor pencil, and gold paint pen over an ink drawing. The large stone in the ellipse is called "sunrise chrysocolla" (aka Sonora Sunset/Sunrise or simply chrysocolla cuprite). There are black color-treated agates and dessert jasper along the top, and one small malachite on the upper right. There are glass tiles and a gob of shiny bits. The circle designs (and other background paper elements) are fancy scrapbook paper.

The Hungry Lion Throws Itself on the Antelope | Kinktober 2024 | “smoky”
“the tortured poets department: the anthology” of this year’s event—this one is strictly belly kink 😅🫣
prompt: warm food on a cold day (courtesy of @oops-all-kink )
pairing: alex/portia
word count: 4621
song: “blow at high dough” by the tragically hip
She had invited me to the house up on the hill for a good time and a half before the snow flooded in for the evening. I had driven through this particular part of California in the summer prior, and I thought it was up in the mountains, but I never believed that it would snow all that much. But when I met her in the outskirts of the Bay Area, I had to witness it for myself. It always got cold there in the wintertime, but I had seen snow all of twice in my life and I was a little kid then as well. I knew there had to be a time in which I had to bust out my windbreaker again, and I had to think of an excuse about wearing my heavy jacket such as that as well.
The next train whisked me down to the southern part of the Central Valley, and I was already wearing the jacket. Maybe I was just a pussy, especially once I found myself eavesdropping on some people who were heading out to the Sierras for some skiing: the woman said the passes were closed save for Sonora and it had dropped down to around one degree up at Mammoth Mountain. The mere sound of that sent a shock of a shiver right up my spine, and I adjusted the lapels of my jacket right then, even though I wasn’t going anywhere near there.
I was a strange boy in a strange land, and more so when I noticed people staring at my black curls down past my shoulders, and more so I took off my jacket to fix them. The black curls, the gaping holes in my jeans, the fact that my shirt didn’t fit all too well and it kept on riding up my body every time I leaned forward, the way that my skin smelled of leather, cologne, pot, and whiskey even though I hadn’t had a hit from a joint in several years at that point, and I just about lost my lunch the last time I had a sip of booze. The first time you get hammered is the one that leaves you at a crossroads: you can either keep on drinking and spiraling, or you can merely treat yourself to one. I chose the latter, and there I was, a sober boy and healthy for the most part.
This girl whom I had met, I never learned her name, but I knew where she lived and I could ask her about it. Something about it left a sinking feeling within me as I knew that that left some sort of pressure on me. I met a girl and I neglected to learn her name. I rubbed my brow with my fingers the more that I thought about it.
She was going to pick me up down there in Bakersfield and then drive me back to the house on the hill. From what she told me over the phone the night before, it was this particularly large house perched upon the crest of a mountain and yet, the face of the house pointed away from the sunrise, like someone had made it and then proceeded to never think it through after that.
She also told me to look around for the purple-haired girl off in the crowd. The flash of lilac purple hair amongst a sea of heads, and I could feel the rumble in my stomach right then.
When she and I met, she had flaming red hair that looked ready for another coloring. I noticed that she had a box of donuts tucked under one arm, and though she didn’t say anything, I knew she was tempting me with it. She told me about one inside of the box which she referred to as “boy bait”; when I asked her as to what that was, her face lit up in response.
“I should invite you back to my place for a homemade version of that,” she told me with a wave of her finger to the very tip of my nose. Her eyes then lifted to the crown of my head.
Every single time.
And every single time, I could feel my heart sinking, especially when their eyes lingered there.
“It’s real,” I blurted out.
“I like it,” she assured me. “It’s interesting. Like… what caused it, exactly?”
“I actually don’t really know, to be honest,” I said with a shake of my head and a shrug of my shoulders.
“It reminds me of frosting,” she remarked with a slight cock to her head. “Or of a cloud. A fluffy little cloud in the black sky…” She dropped her gaze to my face and locked eyes with me; she next thing I knew, I was raising my eyebrows at her. I wanted a donut, and I wanted more of her.
The next thing I knew after that, she was inviting me down south. I bought myself a bus ticket out to Stockton followed by a train ticket, and the next thing I knew after that, I was speeding along the valley floor towards Fresno, followed by Visalia. Everything spread out beyond the train tracks from small farm towns to fields and empty lots, and when the train rounded a bend, I prepared myself for her. I was more than eager to see her out there on the platform, the plume of purple amongst the rolling heads.
The tracks seemed to wander on forever before the train, and more so when the train slowed down before the outskirts of Bakersfield. I peered out the window with one hand rested on my stomach; the clouds were collecting the mountains on the other side of the valley. It was going to be so cold by the time she and I reached her house. I was thinking of those donuts again, and i strove to picture what it was that she referred to as “boy bait.”
I gently massaged my stomach with the backs of my knuckles: I kept my hand under the side of my jacket so no one would have to see me. Through the fabric of my shirt, I could feel my skin inside of there.
A Jewish boy, and I loved to eat and feel the warmth inside of me on a cold autumnal night.
To leave my shift open and show off my chest and my stomach because I felt like it and because I often got too hot during any of our shows, too, and I wondered if she knew something about me that I had kept hidden away from the world,
I was going to a warm place tucked away in a cold environment, and the warmth was going to base itself out of my stomach.
I peered over my shoulder to make sure no one was looking in my direction, and I slipped my hand underneath the hem of my shirt to feel my skin. I swept the edge of my coat over my body better so I could have more privacy. It wasn’t the first time I touched myself in a public place, but it was the first time I touched my belly in a public place with nothing more than my coat to protect me.
I pursed my lips and tried to make it look as though I only had a stubborn itch on my belly.
My skin felt like silk, so much that I wanted to move at a slow place, as slow as the train itself. I had a few extra pounds there, even though I was still plenty slender: it was just enough for me to be a little soft. I had moved away from the hard stuff just in time, just in time for me to return to a remnant of my little childhood belly. I wanted to feel warm there, and I wanted to feel the deliciousness and decadence that she wanted to give unto me. I flexed my fingers and licked my lips as I thought about what she had in store for me.
The train swayed some more as we rolled into the northern end of town, and I could feel that unmistakable fluttery sensation of butterflies in my stomach. I peered out the window to behold the incoming platforms.
Purple hair. Purple hair.
I moved my hand out from under the edge of my coat right as my coat as people began to climb out of their seats. I swiped my bag and my guitar case out from the overhead compartment, and I stepped on over to the front of the car and one of the two entrances there.
We slowed down a great deal more, and I kept my eyes fixed on the buildings out there.
Purple hair. Purple hair.
We slowed down all the way, and that was when I spotted her down behind the benches, that flash of bright lilac purple down the line of the train up itself, which meant I had to walk a bit. The train ground to a stop, and the doors squeaked open. I wasn’t the first one off the train, but I had my eye on her, however. Things were cool and damp there in Bakersfield, complete with a side of impending fog; I kept on looking right at that head of bright purple against the gray sky overhead as well as the darkness of the platform itself. She greeted me with a smile and a white rose pinned to her jacket lapel: she looked like a glamour model from outer space.
“Hey, stranger,” she greeted me, and I had completely forgotten about the velvety and throaty quality of her voice all the while.
“I’m such an idiot, too, I never learned your name,” I confessed to her as I fixed the strap on my guitar case.
“You’re not an idiot!” she declared. “If anything, blame me for not telling you about it. Call me Portia.”
“Okay, Portia,” I said, and I couldn’t resist the smile on my face, either. “I don’t remember if I introduced myself to you, I’m Alex.”
“Oh, you sure did,” she assured me with a wink and a hoisting of her corduroy purse over her shoulder. Purple hair, white rose, and a soft-looking black purse. She guided me to the little black Volkswagen parked near the doors of the train station itself and I remembered the dozen and the “boy bait.”
“Do you have any donuts?” I asked her as she unlocked the doors for us.
“As a matter of fact, I do,” she told me with a flash of an eyebrow. When she and I tucked our bags into the backseat, and I was greeted by the smell of cinnamon and vanilla from the air freshener tucked in the air vent, she took out a bright pink box from under a heavy Indian blanket there on the seat itself. She placed it down on the seat and opened it to show me a full dozen of donuts, every single one of them big and lush and fresh, as if she had stopped by the shop on the way over.
“Oh, my,” was all I could muster at the sight of them. I spotted a long, thin cannoli dusted with cinnamon and sugar tucked in the far left corner, which I took for myself.
“I guess that’s the real boy bait right there,” she chuckled to herself as she took a chocolate donut with what appeared to be peanuts and caramel glazed over the top, and then she closed the lid and returned the box to the backseat. “A quick trip down to Hollywood was worth it.”
“Hollywood?” I was taken aback by that.
“Not the first time I’ve done that, either,” she assured me as she closed the door with her hip. I rounded the front end of the car with the cannoli tucked between my fingers like I was holding a cigarette. My coat was closed but I could feel my belly hanging out in the open as I took a small bite of the cannoli. Warm and packed with cinnamon and silken cream, something that I had been wanting in the face of the cold of the Bay Area as well as the thickening fog of the southern Central Valley. I climbed into the seat next to her as she nibbled on one side of the donut.
“We could just sit here all day long and eat donuts,” she laughed.
“Completely fill our bellies with the sexiest pastry ever known to man,” I joked. “And I could eat about twenty of these, too. I love cannoli… a little too much, might I add.”
“But we’re going to have to eat something a little more nourishing, though,” she pointed out to me as she took another bite and then started up the car.
“I love how good it smells in here, too,” I told her as I took another bite, and that time, I licked some of the cream from the middle part. I locked eyes with her all the while, and she showed me a little smirk at that.
“You work fast,” she remarked.
“As do you,” I retorted.
Portia fired up the car, and we headed for the side streets. I had only been there once or twice so I learned back in the seat with my cannoli in hand and I let her do her thing back to the freeway. I kept one hand upon my lap with my fingers sprawled out over the top of my thigh, and I thought about calling my parents at some point once we got back to the house. I turned to her and that smooth head of lilac hair, and I got the craziest idea right then, such that I rolled my eyes and chuckled to myself when I thought about it.
“What’s so funny?” she asked me as she turned onto the freeway going out east and towards those cold mountains.
“Nothing, it’s… it’s stupid,” I quipped to her with a shake of my head and another bite of cannoli.
“It can’t be,” she assured me as the road straightened out before us.
“It is. Besides, I don’t think either of us are ready to hear it.”
“Oh, c’mon. We didn’t learn each other’s names until ten minutes ago. Surely, it can’t be that bad.”
I ran my tongue along my lip and I tasted cinnamon. I had no idea as to how to ease her into it, but I started talking because she wanted to do so.
“I’m just looking at this cannoli here. And I’m licking my lips, too.” I showed her my tongue. “And I keep thinking about putting sugar and cinnamon on my dick and having you lick it off of me.”
Portia gaped at me. “Alex!”
“I’m so sorry,” I said with another bout of laughter, albeit nervous laughter. “I couldn’t help that. Like I said, it’s stupid. So, so stupid.”
Her eyes had this bright twinkle to them every time she glanced over at me, and I wanted to shrink back into the seat itself.
“You wanna know something?” she asked me.
“Maybe,” I sputtered in a small voice.
“It wasn’t until recently when I started thinking about blowies,” she said. “It was just…” She shrugged her shoulders. “…you know. Finding the right person to apply it to.”
“You think of giving blowjobs, really?” I finished off the rest of the cannoli and brushed the cinnamon off my fingers.
“Yeah. Girls think of these things, too, y’know.”
“Hey, if Madonna can give us a glimpse into her inner world, I reckon other girls can, too.”
“Oh, you know it,” she quipped, and she looked over at me again, and again with a twinkle in her eye.
“You look like you should be fed grapes or something,” she told me.
“Grapes? Nah, I’ll be the one feeding you stuff like that.” I shook my head and licked the remaining cinnamon off my fingers.
“The donuts are right behind you,” she said, and I reached behind us for the box, for another one all for myself. They were still warm by the time we reached her house, way up above the clouds, and yet I was glad that I had my jacket especially once we pulled into her driveway and the safety of her garage. When she switched off the car, she took a glance into the rear-view mirror.
“Ooh, it’s snowing!”
I shifted around in the seat and peered out of the back window to find the first flakes drifting down behind us. We got here in the nick of time.
“Wow,” I breathed out, and I turned my attention to her. “Timing really is everything, isn’t it?”
“This car does have four wheel drive, though,” she assured me. “But agreed. Timing is absolutely everything, especially around here.”
We lugged our things and the box of donuts into the house, which was apparently completely separate from the garage as we had to walk out of there and out into the open on the back porch, and she unlocked what I presumed to be the back door. We were protected by the house itself, but I still somehow managed to have the entire backside of my head blanketed in snowflakes. I was greeted by the smell of what I believed to be fruit and more cinnamon, both of which had wafted out from the kitchen.
“Oh, yeah, I baked a pie last night,” she recalled as she lugged her things into the bedroom, which stood a few feet away from the back door; she placed the box of donuts on the cushion of the couch, the arm of which pointed towards the back door, and I hoped we would stay warm in this house,
“You’re not going to serve me human flesh, are you?” I asked her with a raise of an eyebrow at the sound of that.
“No… unless you want me to,” she teased me. Portia switched on the light for herself, and I took a glimpse inside. Her bed and dresser took up most of the tiny room: I glanced to my left to find her own bathroom in there.
“Where am I going to sleep?” I asked her.
“Upstairs,” she replied.
“Upstairs?” And I couldn’t resist chuckling.
“Yeah. It’s just the other bedroom up there as well as the loft, which I have for my writing and sewing desks.”
“So, I, too, get my bathroom!” I followed along.
“Indeed, you do! You also get the best shower, too. The one up there has this big detachable head on it with a nice flow. It’s like standing underneath a waterfall.”
“Excellent.” I gave my hair a toss back, and I glanced at the rest of the house behind me. I shivered when I glanced up at the high ceiling and the sight of the wooden walls of the living room. “God, is it me or is it absolutely freezing in here?”
“It’s freezing,” Portia explained. “For some reason, when my parents inherited this house, we learned right away that there’s no insulation in here, or wrapping on the outside walls for that matter. So when it gets cold in here in the wintertime, it gets cold in here.”
“And in the summer, it’s unbearably hot,” I followed along. “Speaking of your parents, where are they?”
“They went down south to San Diego for a while,” she told me. “My stepdad’s mom had a condo down there so they’re looking after it until I can go down in the springtime. I volunteered to stay here for the fall and the winter because my stepdad’s sister is… psychotic, to say in the least. We worry about her breaking in when there’s nobody him for a long time.”
“Oh, so you’re like… holding down the fort here.”
“Yeah. And she knows better than to fuck with me, too.” She stepped over to the closet door and showed me the rifle stashed on the very back there, as well as the can of pepper spray, the sword with the long shiny black sheath, and a pitchfork with a bright green handle.
“And now you have me here,” I said. “And I can help you protect this place if you’d like in the time we have together.”
“You are so sweet,” she cooed to me as she closed the door. “I wanna make you something to eat now. Something to nourish you besides a donut and a cannoli.”
“You know what’s one thing I really like to have on these really cold nights?” Some matzoh soup.”
“It’s funny you say that because we actually do have some matzoh meal on hand,” she admitted as she strode on over to me. “And I should’ve known you were a little Jew boy, too.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked her, unsure of where she was going with this.
“You’re sweet and charming,” she explained. “You’re friendly. You strike me as the kind of guy who works hard. I don’t remind you of your mom.”
“No, you don’t,” I said without a second thought, and I couldn’t resist the smile on my face, either. “For a second, I thought you were going to say something about my nose.”
“You also have the schnoz for it.” She lightly tapped the tip of my nose, and I bowed my head at that. I could feel my face growing warm, and my belly was growing warmer at the feeling.
“Shall I get started?” she offered me as I took off my coat and held it before me as if I was presenting her with a trophy of some sort.
“Please,” I coaxed her, and she nudged the door to show off the hooks on the back for me. I hung up the coat as she walked into the living room and ultimately the kitchen. I sat down on the edge of the bed and the even softer comforter with my hands on either side of me.
I gave it a little bounce before I lay down flat on my back. I could feel the hem of my shirt riding up my body once again, and more so when I put my hands behind my head. I was filled with pastry and expecting a bowl of matzoh ball soup, and I was already feeling that familiar warmth.
I rolled my head over the surface of the comforter to find the utter softness around me to be even softer than I had imagined. Without sitting up, I kicked off my shoes and let my legs dangle down towards the floor’s surface. I closed my eyes and let my belly rise up from my body, out from underneath the hem of my shirt like a little stripe of silk from under the coarseness of the outside fabric. A long train ride and I needed to relax on a warm comfy bed with my skin out in the open.
The next thing I knew, I could feel something creeping over the lower part of my belly, right near my hipbone. For a second, I believed it to be a bug on me, but then I lifted my head to see Portia right next to me wearing a peacock blue long-sleeved blouse with a low plunging neckline and a playful little smile on her face.
“Cuties,” she whispered to me. “Beautiful little belly.”
“This is the absolute softest bed I have ever down on in a long time,” I confessed to her.
“Isn’t it just?” She shook her head at that, and her purple hair shimmered as if it was made of metal. I lifted my head again, that time to see her stroke her fingertips down the curve of my hipbone. It tickled a bit, such that I flinched at the feeling, much to her amusement.
“Soup should be ready in about thirty minutes,” she informed me.
“Oh, my word…” I brought a hand to my chest at the sound of that. “Thirty, really?”
“Yeah. I’ve made it a few times before so I’m able to make it rather quickly.”
I hoisted myself up onto my elbows, and my shirt stayed in place on my body, thereby still showing off my belly to her.
“I wanna feel you when you’re full,” she confessed to me.
“That can be arranged,” I promised her.
Indeed, once the soup was ready, she led me into the kitchen for a nice big bowl full, to which we were greeted by that unmistakable aroma. I had two bits of pastry in me, and I was ready for more to keep me warm for the evening. She had made the balls perfectly, and she had included some tender white chicken meat and sliced carrots and celery in there as well, and all the while, I wondered as to how she had made it within the hour with all of this included.
“Oh, man, this is fantastic,” I breathed out as I dipped my spoon into the soup once again for another bite.
Portia joined me with a big bowl for herself. That head of purple hair gave me the biggest dose of comfort I could ever ask for, especially on an afternoon when the snow drifted down in droves. I cleaned the entire bowl, and luckily, she made a particularly large pot, and as a result, I helped myself to a second helping.
And I knew that it was more than enough.
I drank down the rest of the chicken broth and set down the bowl before me. I leaned back in the chair and let my belly rise from the feeling. A part of me wished that I had a few more extra pounds and a round belly just so I could feel more of it; I was slim and slender there, but I was full enough to make myself grow a little bit rounder around the waist. She showed me a sweet smile as she finished the rest of her helping; she then inched towards me while she stayed in her chair.
“I haven’t eaten like that in a long time,” I confessed her as I put my hands behind my head.
“Sometimes, that’s all you have to do,” she told me in a gentle whisper right into my ear.
“Well, that was a big bowl of soup,” I teased her with a little shake to my head. Portia leaned in rather close to me, and I noticed the slight hooded quality to her eyes. Either she had had her fill as well, or she wanted it from me.
“Let me feel…” she coaxed me, and I held still for the steady caress of her hand. I kept my hands up next to my head so I would just let her do what she wanted. She listed the hem of my shirt to feel me.
Every inch of me relaxed. Every inch of me was on display for her, even though a part of me wanted to take her into the bedroom just so we both could be comfortable.
But I was very warm there, and she had quite the soft hand to boot. I showed her the tip of my tongue as she relished the feeling of my skin against her own.
“This is the ultimate boy bait right here,” she joked.
“Oh, if you only knew,” I quipped to her, and I could feel my eyelids drooping at the feeling. “Let’s go where we’re laying down.”
“Good plan.” She showed me her tongue as well, and she led me back into the bedroom. No way I wanted this feeling to go away.

TDC/SU AU: The Skeksis and Gelfling
(Note, this is not hyper accurate to SU lore. Just vibe with it y’all.)
Thra is a planet under the rule of Algodonite, the Empress of the Metamorphic Court.
A result of failed experimentation by Homeworld. The original goal was to split a group of lesser Diamonds to clone them. However, this resulted in the loss of 18 natural Diamonds. They each split into two distinct Gems, none of which mirrored their former glory. Fusion is required to return to their previous state, but the Metamorphic Gems stubbornly refuse. They believe they are the stronger half, fooling themselves into thinking they can become Diamonds without Fusion.
Their counterparts are the Prism Gems. Lead by Shell Agate the Mistress.
While most are still withdrawn, a few of the Prism Gems have reached out to work with the humans that have broken away from the rule of the Metamorphic Court. While they cannot change what their species has done, they feel they need to help save the planet they had a hand in destroying.
Currently, three humans are also considered honorary Prisms.
Rian was born into a long line of guards that served the Metamorphic Court. He accidentally witnessed the Court he protected as they carried out an experiment on his beloved Mira. They were trying to see if a human soul could fill the void left by the Division. While it seems to work temporarily, it doesn’t last forever and kills the human in the process. While this fact doesn’t deter the Court, it sets Rian on his quest to save his planet.
Brea is from a royal bloodline, appointed by the Court to govern the other humans in their stead. She’s deeply curious by nature, and has a thirst for knowledge. This is what leads her to question the Court’s intentions. After seeing a horrible event where members of her people were forced to hand over family heirlooms, she sought the truth. What use are human artifacts to a Gem? These thoughts lead her to a strange, semi-sentient creature by the name of Dolerite. With their help, she joins the Prism’s in their quest to save Thra.
Deethra, also known as Deet, is from a small group of humans that live in a former Kindergarten. She’s deeply in tune with the natural world, often tasked with feeding the farm animals that sustain her remote village. After being attacked by a rampaging bull, Deet woke at the base of the Sanctuary Tree. A living database of Homeworld history, with full sentience. It’s unclear why the Great Trees are aiding the Prism Rebellion. Some think the Trees know they will die along with Thra if the Court is allowed to continue. The Sanctuary Tree gifts Deet with a vision of the future, and sets her on her path to join the Rebellion. Along the way, she befriends a Pebble that goes by Hup. While technically a Gem, Pebbles are treated like slaves. Hup escaped, and she intends to do whatever it takes to help save Thra.
A being by the name of Aughra is now organizing the Rebellion…in her own strange way. She seems to be a physical representation of Thra itself.

Commission Showcase 2022: Seraphina the Traveling Liger Shaman *** Commissioner & Trademarker: SeraphinaVT *** [VT Card] [Twitch] [Twitter] ***
I was recently given permission to publish this on my blog, so here it is! The original reference sheets for VTuber Seraphina's design! Everything was designed from scratch (no references outside jewelry recommendations and some conceptual ideas/themes thrown in the air), which took it some weeks in the making at the time, so it's very uplifting to hear how the design was able to hit it off well.
Themes:
Liger
Sun/Solar Affinity
Shaman
Warm & Friendly
Arabic(???) Dancer Fit i honestly don't know what this kind of wear is called
I've also noticed that, lore-wise, Seraphina has an alternate, "lunar" form, so obviously I had to include my own rendition of what this form looks like. Details (& image) are under the cut:
Some Additional Notes:
The gems referenced replace their respective "solar" counterparts as such:
Angelite → Spessarite Garnet Labradorite → Sonora Sunrise Rainbow Moonstone → Sunstone
Golds are switched with Silvers, and Reds are switched with Blue-Violet hues for garments & jewelry.
The black tiger tips on the ears and tail are still technically there if you zoom in and squint really hard enough, but it is generally very hard to tell.

Back to 2024! Raphael and Dolores are living together and dating. This post will not contain any sex, but I encourage you to read it especially if you love Raphael. Enjoy, enjoy!
DIE MASTER LIST OR #LYONDIE
That morning, Raphael had planned a hike up North Mountain National Trail. Ever since the 7th, I had been extremely against leaving Theo with anyone else…
CW: Explicit language.
…The idea of me not being there to care for and protect him had me stressed since that day, so on that morning, Raphael surprised me with a baby back carrier for hikes.
Over the last few days, Raphael and I had only gotten stronger. It was so weird to me. We weren’t having sex but he was still so happy, he wasn’t running away to find anyone else, and he was always there for me and Theo.
By this point, we had been dating for two weeks. And, yes, of course I sat around on websites checking our Astrological Birth Chart compatibilities to determine if we were going to keep having a stable relationship.
That might be stupid to any number of people, but I’ve lived enough life examining charts and accepting people with low compatibility into my life. While I always put my best foot forward to keep adapting to the person, something always breaks.
It didn’t feel the same with Raphael, and sure enough that was because most of our planets were pretty compatible. Our Suns and Moons were compatible, meaning we’d be able to easier communicate with one another and so far that had proven right.
Our Venus and Mars were also compatible, meaning we’d be able to maintain a healthy sexual relationship and a strong romantic attraction for one another.
It took us about 35 minutes at a moderate pace to make it to the peak of the mountain. While up there, I took Theo out of his carrier and held him in my arms to look at everything. Raphael had carried him up the mountain, and was setting his bag and the carrier down on a rock.
Raphael came over to us and wrapped his arms around me, holding me close to his chest while I held Theo in my arms.
He squeezed me for a second, and I could feel a slight shaking in his breath. It was really slight. That was the thing about Raphael, he tried to always seem scary and ready, but that moment there was worry, there was anxiety.
I didn’t know why, I didn’t even really notice it at the time, just remembered it after the fact.
We had gotten there very early in the morning, so early that as we stood there, we began to see the sunrise turning the landscapes of Phoenix into a red hue. It was so beautiful.
The best part? We were all alone, the three of us experiencing this together.
I felt Raphael’s arms let go of me, I thought he was getting a picture. There was silence for a second, and suddenly my heart began to race. My world felt like it was on fire all of a sudden, the heat from the sun felt hotter than I’d ever felt it this early in the morning in a Scorpio season in the Sonora desert.
I let out a breath, it shook so much, I began trembling. I held Theo tight to my chest, and he tossed his head behind him and I to Raphael.
“Mama,” Theo giggled loudly and pointed behind us to Raphael.
I watched the sunrise for just a half second longer, and turned around to find Raphael. He was down on one knee behind me, a white box in his hand. His dark brown eyes stared up into my golden ones, he opened his mouth to speak.
I wanna love you ‘til we’re food for the worms to eat, ’til our fingers decompose, keep my hand in yours.
“I know that you want to tell me it’s too quick… I know that you might not think we’re ready. But, I want you to remember June of 2022, in the Planetarium. I saw you, standing there in that dress. You were so happy. You gave me your hand, we locked eyes for the first time. For the first time, Lola…”
He breathed, and I saw how heavy it weighed on him. I could tell he wanted to propose, to marry me, but he really thought I was about to reject him, and he was trying not to drop his confidence.
There was something so fucking endearing about that moment.
He held his head high, keeping my eye, and continuing, opening the box, “This is the ring I bought after we went to the Planetarium. I didn’t know how, or if it would happen at all, but I knew when I saw you that day that I had to marry you.”
The ring was a beautiful custom made moissanite 2ct ring, it was real gold, and the details were thin and intricate.
“I know you have a lot to recover from, that there’s a lot that has hurt you in the past, but I want to be there for you and for Theo. Let me find purpose in being your lifeline, your home, from now until forever. Dolores, Lola, my Doll. I love you, no matter what decision you make. Dolores, will you please marry me?”
I held Theo in my arms that whole time, and when he asked the question, I exploded into tears.
Raphael moved quickly to hug me, but I caught his arms, nodding my head through the sobs, “yes.”
“Give me your hand, and come here,” he said, pulling me close to his chest where I hid my face from Theo.
When I pulled my face away, my eyes were bigger, redder and puffier, but I was so happy. Raphael took my hand and put the ring on my ring finger. He kissed my hand and then my lips.
Theo had been hugging me through all the tears. He was always such a sweet kid, and always did his best to be supportive. Finally, as Raphael wiped the remaining tears off my face, Theo began to look at me and ask, “mama?”
In his little face he was looking for clarification that his mom was okay, my heart melted, and I kissed his head. “Mama is super happy, Theo.”
I smiled and made a funny face for him, and soon the realization settled in that his mom was okay, and he started to laugh and be happy again.
“You believe in the star stuff, and you keep saying that we’re all fire signs. I’m an Aries, you and Theo are Leo’s. I googled it and the third season is Sagittarius. Let’s get married by December 18.”
“I love you, too, Raphael,” I said, remembering his earlier statement, and doubling down, “December 18 it is then.”

Cinema (YOASOBI cover) - English translyrics by ASTRAL MILE
youtube
IMPORTANT INFO: music/lyrics: Ayase (YOASOBI) cover by: ASTRAL MILE vocals/mix: *nao vocal/visuals/translyrics: altair
**THESE LYRICS WERE ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR A SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 RELEASE (part of the Sonora Duet Battle in 2021)**
Please credit altair (ASTRAL MILE) if you use these lyrics and link back to here or the YouTube video! Thank you~
All of a sudden, everybody started moving On top a lack-of-sense scenario before me Oh, isn’t it just like a movie? Oh, just the same as like a movie? Wherever you go, you know there’s a story
Before me lies a path that’s wrecked with all my mess-ups How I’d lost count of all the ones that had been crossed out Oh, won’t you tell me what’s the bad part? Hey, won’t you point out all the bad parts? If nothing else, that’s all I wanted to know…
A breaking dawn Belied with lies Precious anti-rides All while playing the mistook hero The traffic lights Jamming up the night This or that No, it can’t be tried now This wasn’t how I’d planned so surely Then how was it then planned, so “surely”? The more I think, the more that I go…
Oh no, this can’t be right, right It’s not a role where I will be fine Out of my type, type Do I give it up ‘fore the sunrise? That’s not right, right Wonder when the day will arrive by when I would be the one in the spotlight?
Every moment when I’m lacking as I laugh to ease And all the baggage that I’d count while I would cry to sleep For all the plans that never panned out as I feel upset It ain’t on anybody else, I feel so lost at that The city lights that shimmer bright and with a radiance The wretched faces of the ones that I would pass on by, if it’s A time to make a start, you gotta start it now Again, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go
This can’t be right, right It’s not a role where I will be fine Out of my type, type Do I give it up ‘fore the sunrise? But the times I’d let the thoughts circle in my mind Just holding out some more for the next time
A breaking dawn Belied with lies Precious anti-rides All while playing the mistook hero The traffic lights Jamming up the night This or that No, it can’t be tried now It was something that I knew so surely It was something that I’d drawn so surely As time had passed, where had it all gone…?
All of a sudden, everybody started moving On top a lack-of-sense scenario before me Tell me, what is it I’m playing? Oh tell me, who is it I’m playing? No, not a chance! No way, it can be me…!
It’s still too soon, I--
It’s still too soon, I’ll fight, fight No way it’s the end, am I right? Out of my type, type? Then I’ll go and write something else now For the most part Always and whenever, for sure I’ll-- I’ll be the one that stands in the spotlight!
Some day it’ll be bye-bye Everything must draw to a close Roar of applause, pause Wave and smile, a curtain call The fate I’d wanted to be changing was here, just Whatever and however that I’d want it It’s here, it had been From rock bottom, we had risen to glory Just like the movies and their stories

Sonora
Promise me that one day
My body can return to the desert
Let me nurture cactus roots
Spreading thin and wide in rocky soil
And when you see them bloom
Will you love them for me?
Both of us learned to live like a held breath
Only in our success can we be gentle
Promise me that one day
When I become dust and desert air
You’ll let me settle in the hidden water
The kind that pools unseen in hollowed, worn granite
Guarded by shadows and silence and still air
Nourished by old storms
It is very hard to live in a desert
But that is why it is so alive
All of us are screaming crawling panting to keep breathing
Here, at least
We are honest about it
You will hear me in the wind
Ruffling the cactus blossoms
Neither of us thought we’d make it this far
But each year the flowers come
Pinks brighter than the sunrise
Reds deeper than blood
I didn’t think I’d live this long
But I promised the rocks in the canyon I’d live longer still
It is a vow that tastes like salt and sand
As the orange sun sets
Shadows crawl from the cliff face to meet my feet
The waning moon rises
And I do not become whole
I cannot be anything but sharp and hard and exposed
But as I stand in the dirt and the burning heat
I am happy that this, too, is living
