Ok hang on. I think Sakura is saying that the Dream she's talking about in these pages is of That Moment, in the middle of the previous page - the one from the beginning of Chapitre one, with herself and Syaoran in the Jam Jar.

But. The way they phrase it makes it sound like the dream is NOT of them, but of Lava Lamp and (Not!Sakura?) sitting on the separated halves of the jam jar? Never to be reunited again? 

Am I getting that right? 

Even though I'm pretty sure we've already SEEN these specific Sakura and Syaoran come out of the jam jar.

Maybe this dream is a bit of a metaphor instead? Instead of a literal series of events that also happened exactly as portrayed?

Or maybe the implication that she's talking about the Jam jar is off and she's actually talking about off screen events that haven't happened yet? I think I'll just hold on to that for now.

EITHER WAY, slightly weird feeling from the translation having Syaoran call Lava Lamp “That Boy”, even if it might be accurate (I don’t know the original Japanese). Like that is your son Syaoran! That is the other reason you don’t want a horrible fate for him!

I’m sure they’re doing their best and dancing around ambiguous wording or something but I think the wording just isn't flowing super well this chapter. Personally, I will blame the company behind the translation. Maybe they didn't give the translator enough time to iron things out.

Also that final question from Syaoran is wild because we know that the “Syaoran” he means is Lava Lamp, but the name “Sakura” is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Since, like, the original “Sakura” Lava Lamp meets in Clow and saves from the curse isn’t actually named Sakura at all, but I suppose that’s what the speech marks are for. 

UNLESS he means Super Sakura, which I kind of think he might, but we haven’t seen her awake yet to see if she’s a brand new person entirely or if she IS just Not!Sakura but aged up now. 

We just don’t know!
