While Tom was demoted from main character to supporting character as the movies went on, I do love they kept him on as like, someone who could give Sonic guidance. He's very wise, likely a trait he picked up from his own dad who was also very wise.

Huh, this is a nuanced take on the character. I mean, I doubt having a kind and just heart really has anything to do with modeling. Would be super useful for a magical girl though.
