i'm watching "the day" (a documentary about dale earnhardt's death) and its already fucking heartbreaking, but im thinking something thats making me more upset: what was going through dale's mind in his last moments? what was he thinking as he witnessed his last memory, his teammates (one of them his son) ahead, one of them about to end up in victory lane. what was he feeling?

Hey yall, I've been seeing some incorrect information regarding the latest NASCAR news. So I think I should set the record straight. No, Austin Dillon is *not* entirely playoff ineligible. NASCAR simply ruled that his win doesn't count towards playoff eligibility. In other words, NASCAR simply said that because of his actions, his win didn't get him into the playoffs. He can still advance to the playoffs if he wins either Michigan, Daytona or Darlington. It's complicated, and definitely confusing, but put simply, NASCAR didn't disqualify him from the playoffs entirely, rather they just said "yeah he won but it doesn't count towards playoffs".
