Any tips for getting an annoying song out of your head? I've had Hound Dog by Elvis Presley stuck in my head all day for no apparent reason 😭. Although now I think about it, I love the thought of a whumper telling their whumpee that they "ain't nothing but a hound dog crying all the time"

This morning, my husband was singing the same song over and over since it was stuck in his head. Naturally, this then got the song stuck in MY head.

Normally, my counter for this is to mentally sing "Can't Get You Out of My Head" by Kylie Minogue. That song doesn't get stuck, but it disrupts my brain enough to break out of the "song/thought stuck in head" loop.

This time though? When I mentally cued up "Can't Get You Out of My Head", I instead "heard": 🎶Never gonna give you up... 🎶

I was just like O__o "How did THAT happen?! That's not the song you usually use, brain!"

It still worked though....
