#song of the sea au

Seafaring Uzumaki’s who are terrifying for being all that they are but also I want them to have songs and war chants and such. I want Naruto to have a beautiful voice that lures people in. A voice capable of all sorts of sounds and mimicry, I want a haunting battle song/war chant for the death of Uzushio’s people. I want Kurama to remember/learn those things from Mito and Kushina and teach them to Naruto. I want Naruto to start humming a melody that at first gives chills to Zabuza and when it gets to actual singing have him be like “Oh shit that’s an Uzumaki. OH SHIT THAT’S AN UZUMAKI!!”

Part of me wants this to be part of the Venomous Naruto AU. Like they used to be allied with the sea serpents so he learns them from his fuckoff massive snake friend, Kurama and maybe some scattered bits of Uzumaki lore found by orochimaru or his ‘siblings’. Pieces of a shattered history almost no one remembers.

But he does.

Naruto who is always humming to himself both because adhd and because it’s in his blood. When Tsunade comes back to the village she nearly walks directly into the wall outside Orochimaru’s office when she hears Naruto inside singing an old lullaby she half remembers to himself. The people in wave recognizing some of the snippets and whispers spread of an Uzumaki come to save them. And of course Zabuza seeing this child that stands in water more steadily than in the ground, hears the start of an old Uzumaki war song, and just about yoinks Haku and runs because n o p e.

What I’m calling By the Sea au, I was thinking about how thetis is nymph and then I was like ‘what if mermaid?’ And here we are.

In the au Pat is a lighthouse keeper with his dad and how he first meets Achilles is when Achilles saves him from drowning when he tries to get back to the lighthouse during a storm.

Peleus and thetis are in love but also kind of divorced and peleus runs a sandwich shop because why not.

She’s a lot more chill and mostly just wants Achilles to be less reckless and not get hurt

Briseis is Achilles’s friend and she is the one who helps him do a little spell to turn human for two weeks.

To go with the Siren Naruto ask what if from a young age Naruto tries to make sure anyone who’s watching over him/friends with him can at the very least carry a beat? Naruto teaching the other rookie 9/12 the old Uzu songs and war/battle chants. Kakashi and Genma maybe others would join in Kushina used to sing them as lullabies/to relax Kakashi. Have the chunin exams take place elsewhere not in the leaf and have Naruto sing during the tournament round and scaring the hell out of the Kages cuz why does he know that? How does he know that? I just want unsettling/slight scary Naruto plus mix in sealing possibly an auditory genjutsu array to make it better for Naruto worse for his opponents/audience esp if in Mist, Cloud, or Earth countries

God Kakashi and Genma.

The first time they hear it they’re actually together, Genma doing his weekly check in to make sure Kakashi hasn’t tried to bury himself under the memorial stone because Kushina would absolutely hunt him through the afterlife if he didn’t look after her first kit (even if she had called him family. It was best not to summon the wrath of an Uzumaki if at all possible) when they hear a snippet of a song she used to sing while she was working.

They both freeze half convinced that they would turn and see a head of flaming red hair as she scolded them for bickering again.

Instead they find little Naruto, perched in one of the trees and setting up a trap and they are hit with the reality that one Uzumaki is still alive and they have been failing him.

God the chaos he could inspire in the Chunin exams like an Uzumaki is always terrifying but the last Uzumaki who is also a Jinchuriki? Terrifying

someone he creates to cure his loneliness of companionship in a tender way that ortho just cannot do; ugh i’m imagining a plain head just sitting on the desk, stripped down to the metal and skinless; him asking which eye color you like the best until it lands upon yours;

the midnight conversations as he builds a body; the pining from the reader (is it actual pining or are you just scraping the edges of desperate self perseverance so he doesn’t trash you like the other models); kind of dream-like transition between adding each body parts (like imagine yourself lying in a tub of ink — cheeks, nose, lips, a slight peel of your forehead visible — and eventually it all drains down as more and more body parts are added);

the first very touch of human flesh upon you; the cracked polystyrene blinks that you give with twitchy eyelashes; you siphon your romantic tendencies between a messy mélange of gritty 18+ hentai and victorian romance novellas; idia pours his damned and tormented soul into making you perfect for him and you pour yourself willingly into the image, designed just for one man <3

New AU thingy

I never do crossover AUs ( i mean, when the characters fill the roles of the characters of a serie or film, I don't like that generally but meh I'm making an exception today)

But Secret of Kells has me on a chokehold and I'm brainrotting so have some doodles !

I've got nothing much for this AU it'll be mostly designs or style experimentations with the WH characters

even merpeople and sea creatures have the capacity to be cruel, made obvious by how they tease and laugh at your dearest friend, who despite being large and terrifying is truly soft and gentle inside, especially to you. they mock him for his more monstrous appearance, making fun of his horns and claws and glittering fins before screaming and turning tail to flee when you swim after them, teeth bared and yelling angrily. Legacy croons softly when you cross your arms tightly, curling his tail around your body in thanks, twice as long as you are. you're small, yes, but you're fierce and have scars to prove it, and he nuzzles his mask-like face gently against your shoulder, humming your favorite whale-like song as his bioluminescence shines in the dark

the sunken city of Remuria becomes a haven of sorts for the two of you- no other merfolk, no jeering faces or loud voices- just you, Foul Legacy, and the music. oh, and the whale-dragon that stops by every once in a while; he says his name is Scylla, and as far as sea creatures go, he's alright. you're not particularly interested in the humans who came before, but you and Legacy adore swimming through the musical strings and glowing flowers, playing with the melodies and tunes. Legacy in particular harmonizes along with them, and eventually you join in, much to his delight- for his species, sea monsters that wish to court one another will sing their own songs, then weave them together into something new and entirely their own, it's no wonder his marking glow even brighter whenever you hum with him

he'll have to find the perfect treasure for you, to begin his courting

Random bellow diamond song of the sea/selkie au idea I came up with last night

(I'm writing a super long fanfic but might also write this at the same time since I have nothing else to do)

So here's the stupid idea I made

Yellow diamond is a sailor who travels the world and always lives by the sea, she's currently in a place similar to beach city (she's constantly moving so will be gone soon)

one night when she's by the sea she sees blue diamond transform to her human form from her seal form and tries to speak with her, this scares blue diamond who quickly transforms again and goes back in the ocean.

Yellow diamond spends a couple nights wondering about blue and trying to find her again, she spends a long time just waiting by the sea, during this blue is also wondering about yellow and scared she'll tell people about her.

when travelling back to where she first met yellow, blue turns back into a human and meets yellow again, this time yellow didn't see her transform.

Blue and yellow start to talk, blue tries to convince yellow she didn't transform and is just a normal person but yellow isn't convinced (she'd heard of selkies from her mother who's white diamond)

To test if blue's actually a selkie yellow touches her white seal skin coat to see how blue will react, blue freaks out and starts to panic and cry thinking yellow will steal it and comes clean about everything, begging for yellow to not take her coat.

yellow apologises but doesn't want blue to go and tries to ask questions about selkies, blue tries to escape and go back to the ocean but sees other humans nearby so can't transform, leaving her to have to talk to yellow.

Blue tells yellow her sister (pink diamond) was also a selkie but had her seal skin taken by a human so was forced to live as a human, this made blue scared of all other humans, yellow tries to promise blue she won't do that but she doesn't believe and swims away again.

(There will be much more bellow stuff this would only be the first couple chapters I have some more lore planned but I'll see what you guys think about it)
