The idea that Tuesday loves to sit and people watch as enrichement is so fun and gets me thinking about what wildly incorrect things he would think of other people's ocs if he got to watch them pass by / work >:)

Feel free to ignore if it's too much of a tricky question, but what potentially incorrect conclusions would he get to if he people-watched while Ryss was passing by or working at the docks?

Oh but this is so fun an idea I can’t resist shfjecjdjcks (side note while doing light Ryss research for answering this to see what would stand out to Tuesday in essentially a snapshot of her day i saw one of her references and I’m cackling over “dumbass tank uses left arm as a shield”)

Tuesday would find watching ship loading/unloading really interesting, there’s a lot of moving parts (people, things) and it’s sorta like watching an ant hill. The Captain is easy to pick out- the one with the fanciest hat and the loudest voice, usually not doing the heavy lifting. Everyone else tends to blend together, still, though sometimes he can pin down the cabin boys and swabbies, with sunburnt skin and not as much muscle built up.

There’s a Roegadyn who’s caught his eye, not the captain he doesn’t think (no hat, and she’s helping move cargo), but she could be, easily. She has the air of someone people would listen to if she DID bark orders. She’s either romantically involved with someone in the crew, or she’s content on her own, but she isn’t striking Tuesday as somebody with a lover waiting on shore. He idly wonders if this ship is staying in dock for longer than a night or not. She definitely drinks, but only socially, and nothing too strong. Not because she’s a light weight, but because she likes to be in control. Before getting with this crew she must’ve lived a rough life, maybe she was displaced during the tidal wave he’d read about that claimed Halfstone, and had taken unkindly to the invading Sahagin. Or, he thinks, even if it’s an unlikely possibility, she used to be a Gladiator in the Arena, fighting for her freedom… or coin, and her charisma and skill with just her fists sent her soaring to great heights, but the cut-throat nature and danger of being someone in the gladiatorial spotlight pushed her to retire, and pursue a new career option… Her gladiator name would’ve been Iron Fist, though. Oh no she’s looking this way- time to go!

I expected that I would doomscroll and, consequently, doom post for a day or two and make that post apologizing for so much political content on my blog and then be done. It turns out there's been less doom in posts than expected, espwcially in my tags, but this has still been going on longer than I wanted. This is still becoming more of a political blog than intended or desired.

Everyone can block the tag "us politics" and you'll be 99.8% free from seeing what I post about politics -- I'm pretty good about using that tag, but I can't account for occasional slip-ups or issues with Tumblr's block feature.

I'm also gonna try to make more original posts. I don't have enough of a buffer of completed fiction writing to post any of that, which is disappointing when my original purpose for this blog was a place to post my writing (it turns out not everyone can "do it for the followers" their way out of severe burnout and should instead heal and get creative abilities back more privately), but I do have a few topics I can write sort of stream-of-consciousness essays on. Mostly fiction I enjoy, since I enjoy it in so many forms, both in broad categories (things I like about video games as a medium, things I think about TV show season lengths, things I enjoy in narrative vs non-narrative podcasts, ebooks vs physical books, etc. and specific pieces of media) and things I experience. These seem to be what Tumblr has stayed consistently geared toward over all the years I've used it, and they're things I have thoughts about anyway.

I know nobody technically needs an update on what I'm planning to post and I can simply... post things when I want to -- it's my blog, after all -- but I'd like to have a record of my thought process when I go back through my own archive and I'd like people who are sick of my political posting to know that's not all there's gonna be. I'm gonna make an effort to balance things out.

Hey, where do you post your writing (if you have stuff that's On The Internet Somewhere)? We keep seeing your reblogs about writing and we'd love to see some of the stuff you make

Thank you for the interest in my writing!

My oldest writing that still survives on the internet is some fanfiction on AO3, if you want to read completed works from when I was still in the Supernatural and Doctor Who fandoms. There is one more recent work that's been posted there, and I'm working on writing more, but the ratio is still mostly older works for now.

As for original work, I've been working my way back to regular, consistent writing after a 5-ish year long stretch of writing-specific burnout (on top of needing to move my writing from an ad-riddled program to a truly free one) and haven't built up much of a buffer of completed stories I could post anywhere besides Tumblr just yet.

While I'm working on that buffer and trying to decide what non-Tumblr site would be best, I've posted some excerpts from WIPs (both short stories and my various novel projects) and a handful of completed drabbles/short stories on this blog over the last few years. I try to tag my writing posts as diligently as I can with #sonder stories -- I'd recommend using a site or extension like findtags to search through that tag if you want.

As this blog has become less writing-focused, though, I've also created a sideblog called @eicenrellarchives where I'm planning to stick to just writing and writing related posts.

I'm working on getting back to ask games, tag games, short stories, and other post-able projects and I'm making good progress lately. So you'll probably get to read more of my work on both blogs soon.

If you have any suggestions for other sites/places to post writing or make it easier to share, that could help me put more things online to read too. Again, thank you for your interest and this ask!
