Ruben and Reader are super spies, who have to pretend to be a married couple on vacation as a co-signed mission. A enemies to lovers fic, very sweet and funny!

You woke up to somthing heavy pressing you down against the matress. Somthing heavy and warm.

"Ruben, get off me."

So he was a heavy sleeper. Not a very good trait for a crime fighting agent.

"Ruben please, I can't feel my legs."

A low grunt was the only sign of life coming from him. Trying to stirr him awake only made it worse. Ruben's grip around your body tightened as his face snuggled into the fabric of your shirt, which by the way, was starting to rise above your hips, revealing more of you than you ever wished for Ruben to see.

Suddenly there was heavy knocking on your hotel door.

"It's the hotel manager!" The voice behind the knock said. A female voice.

"Ruben, somone is..."

You had to say no more. Ruben's grip around your was gone and so was the weight of him. The knocking doors woke him up as if he had selective hearing.

"I'm sorry to disturb you this early Mr and Mrs Moreno, but it is very important!"

"Wait here." Ruben said, faster than you to get up and out of bed. His face looked sprung woke, his hair pointing in every direction. He ran a hand through it on his way to the door. You were right behind.

"I told you to wait in bed." He frowned.

"I'm not your real wife Ruben, don't tell me what to do."

He shook his head but stretched to open the door, revealing a tall woman dressed in suit and tie.

"Good morning Mr and Mrs Moreno. I am sorry to disturb your sleep this early in the morning, but I have received some very urgent information about your stay here at Resort de la Martinez.

"What information?" Ruben said, a hand held behind his back.

Who sleeps with a gun strapped to their sweatpants, you thought. Either way, the woman did not look the slightest intimidate by Ruben's lack of hospitality, the opposite really.

"If I may introduce myself Mr and Mrs Moreno, my name is Beatrice Sanchez the manger of this resort.

"Yeah, and what do you want?" Ruben frowned.

"My boss has requested to invite you to stay at his villa as his personal guests."

Ruben looked to you and you looked to him. He turned back to the woman. "I'll have to discuss this with my wife, thanks."

The woman lunged forward, preventing Ruben from shutting the hotel door in her face. "I'm afraid there won't be much of a discussion. My boss insists that you and your wife be his guests at the villa. He is very thankful for what you did for his nephew the other night."

Again, Ruben shot you a puzzled look. The boy who's life he had saved at dinner turned out to be the nephew to one of Portugals most infamous druglords.

"Our staff will have your things escorted as soon as you're ready, the woman, Beatrice, said. She bowed her head, leaving you and Ruben with no other option.

"What do we do?" You asked Ruben as he shut the hotel door.

"Call Captain Harlow. Tell him that there's been useful developments in our mission and that we need more equipment."

"More equipment? For what?"

He smiled. "Surveillance."

"What now?" You asked.

Within days you and Ruben were moved into a lovely Spanish Villa at a private section of the resort. You had staff catering to you at all hours of the day and a car for you to use during the reminder of your stay. Although the offered luxury was tempting, you and Ruben stuck to your mission and spent most nights in the streets bugging the entire resort with cameras, microphones and movment sensors. During the day you were pretty much free to do whatever, most suspicious activity occured during night anyway.

"Let's go to the beach." Ruben yawned, stretching his arms above his head.

"The what now?"

"The beach. People need to see us do normal stuff together, otherwise they'll suspect that somthing is off."

He had a point. You hated that he had a point.

"Fine. Just give me a minute to pack my stuff."

"No need. Just grab a towel and take your clothes off. "

"Excuse me?"

Ruben grinned. "Didn't you read the signs on our way up here?"

"What signs?"

"There's only nude beaches around this private section. No bikini's allowed."

"What? That's ridiculous. "

"Those are the rules." He shrugged.

"Ruben, I'm not going to..."

"I'm joking." He chuckled.

You sighed in relief, tossing your bikini top his way. He caught it with one hand, twisting the fabric between his fingers before handing it back to you.

You had gotten to know each other very well, during the days you spent together. Contrary to your beliefs, Ruben could crack jokes. Lame jokes. However, some of them made you chuckle.

"I am going to the beach though." Ruben said. He had been down there every day since you moved to the villa. For some reason he was convinced that Alejandro Martinez kept a submarine near the Island. The best place to look was near the ocean.

"Then I am going to enjoy my day playing golf."

"You play golf?" Ruben questioned.

You grabbed your gloves and cap from your suitcase. "I'm a former junior champion, if you must know."

Ruben said nothing, although he looked impressed.

"Have fun." You said once the two of you went your separate ways.

Ruben walked to the beach as you took the car to the resorts own private golf course.

You stepped onto the lush green grass, clubs slung over your shoulder and your sunglasses perched on your head. You hadn't played golf for years, but this vacation/mission in Madeira actually allowed you to take up the sport that you loved so much.

As you made your way around the golf course, you couldn't help but notice the admiring glances of the other golfers. You were used to this kind of attention when you were younger, but today there was one man who caught your eye in particular. He was a tall and handsome stranger with piercing brown eyes and a charming smile. As you played your respective rounds around the course the man and you kept crossing paths, and he made a point to flirt with you shamelessly, despite you fake wedding ring. He seemed to be completely unfazed by the fact that you were married. In fact, he seemed to be drawn to it, as if the forbidden fruit was all the more tempting because of it. At first you were taken aback by his forwardness. You had never been one to encourage such behavior from strangers, and you certainly didn't want to risk anything that could potentially intrud the mission that you and Ruben had. However the man kept approaching you, forcing you to tell him off.

"Is your putt shot as awful as your pick up lines?"

The man laughed with his whole face, making him even more handsome.

"Is that a challenge?" He said.

You shrugged. "It's not a challenge when I know I'm gonna win."

The man looked to his caddie, nodding his head as to say that he was impressed. "Pepe hand me my putt." He ordered.

The caddie brought him his club, exchanging it for his iron seven. You stood ready to go, with the last hole within reach. You swung the club with ease sinking the ball right away.

"Impressive. " The man applauded. "If I sink the ball first try I'm taking you to dinner."

You smirked. He was slick, too slick for his own good. Successfully sinking the ball in the whole, the man turned to you, sporting a complement smile. "I guess dinner is on me. How about the restaurant near the marina?"

"Great, my husband and I will meet you there at seven."

The man laughed but stretched out his hand to shake yours. "Pleasure playing with you...."

"Y/N." You smiled. "Y/N Moreno."

"Alejandro Martinez." He said, causing your hand to go lump in his grip.

"Y...your...him."

"The owner of this resort? Yeah that's me."

But he was so young. Younger than you thought he'd be. He looked to be around fifty years old, but very fit for his age.

"You and your husband....you're staying at the villa with my family, no?"

"Um...yes."

You had a bad feeling about this. Alejandro Martinez was never known for spending much time at his resort, but here he was, enjoying a round of golf with you.

"Than we shall all see you again tonight." He turned your hand and kissed your knuckles. Heat rose to your face as you pulled away.

You couldn't wait to report all of this back to Ruben.

It's cheesy. full of stuff you know is meant for kids and that corporate made them do. but I really liked it. I know the whole bit is that the family is weird. I don't really like that they used the word weird instead of autistic but i can kinda understand why they had to do it. i found myself relating the characters constantly. The way they run away when things get overwhelming, communicate through their interests, stim when they have big feelings (they all have their own, and most of them have a couple they do) and the way the situation their in affects them. It is not perfect representation but it did a good enough job for me.

So the new episode of The bad batch showed us some really awesome sides of omega some we see quite often but others we rarely see like this one we see omega's usual serious battle face where she's fighting to save her friends and brothers

But then we get this one, one of my favorite moments of the entire season actually this shows us something we have only seen in The bad batch one other time I'm talking about on Saleucami back in season one when omega was playing with the other kids we see omega actually happy and eager to do something that doesn't involve fighting or stealing

And now this one we see omega happy and at peace in fact I think this scene on the boat is the first time we've seen omega by choice leave her weopen behind (somone fact check me there please) we see omega at peace and with her guard down

And now for the point to my little rant this one we see a side of omega that we have never seen in the bad batch before we see omega's true view of the batch constantly moving around and fighting. This is the first time we are seeing omega, not the clone that is genetically tied to crave violence and live for battle a Clone who has been inhanced to mature and grow faster a Clone that has been inhanced to not be affected by killing to not have mental breakdowns due to fear and losing there homes and having there brother's leave. No this is omega an unaltered Clone, she is a child no more than 14 years old she may have Jango fett's DNA and can handle herself in a fight and probably bottle her emotions up for a while but not forever

So I would like you to meet omega, omega the child the child that is suffering from borderline depression because Echo left and is obviously still struggling with the loss of kamino. Let's hope that she has a few episodes of happiness on pabu before anything else happens

When you put the song home by cavetown I think it talks about how others see Scar and how he sees himself.

Home by cavetown first line is "often I'm upset."  This is Scar expressing how he feels so surrounded yet so lonely

"That I cannot fall in love but I guess" Scar can't fall in love no matter how hard he trys because he is already in love with Mumbo (and Grian but he doesn't know that) and even when Tubbo trys to get him together with somone all he can imagine is Mumbo.

"This avoids the stress of falling out of it." Scar no longer needs to worry about hurting the people he cares about because he cut contact with everyone besides his son.

"Are you tired of me yet?" Scar asking Mumbo if he is done with dealing with Scar yet.

"I'm a little sick right now, but I swear." Scar is dealing with the guilt of what he did to the people he cares about but makes a promise.

"When I'm ready, I will fly us out of here." To fix the contract he made with Scott and will save Mumbo, Grian, and Tubbo once he is ready to take that step.

"I'll cut my hair." Scar will drop his false personality to explain the truth

"To make you stare." The truth isn't nice it hurts and will shock whoever he is telling (this case, Mumbo)

"I'll hid my chest" Scar will hide the truth till it boils out and he can't take it anymore.

"And I'll figure out a way to get us out of here." Scar is talking about how he will fix the mistakes he made.

"Turn off your porcelain face." Someone is asking Scar to stop acting like everything is okay.

"My eyes went dark." This is how his eyes looked after the many years without Mumbo.

"I don't know where." It took Scar a long time to realize that leaving Mumbo, Grum, and Jrum, he broke the only bit of happiness in his life.

"Figure out a way to get us out of here."  Scar hopes Mumbo will forgive him for not saying goodbye in person.

"Get a load of this monster." Others talking about how Scar is a monster because he is the grim reaper.

"He doesn't know how to communicate." Grian defending Scar about him being a "monster."

I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But you didn't see me playing Santa at the orphanage.

I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant I was sitting in. But you didn't see me, attending a meeting there to raise more money for the hurricane relief.

I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.

I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I heard you mumble "Biker scum" as I held the door open for you at the convience store while wearing my leather. The next day you saluted me and said thanks for serving as I walked into the same store in my Sheriffs uniform.

You saw me walking into court as you said "Figures", But, you did not see me and my friends in BACA protecting and surrounding a child that is testifying against her abusive father.

You see me and my friends reving our engines outside of a cemetary and you say "How RUDE", but you don't see me and my friends honoring somones dying wish and the Patriot Gaurd protecting the family from the war protestors.

I saw you waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But you didn't see me. I wasn't there. I saw you go home to your family. But you didn't see me. Because I died that day you cut me off.

My parents are divorced and that’s important for this. One day, on summer holidays, (I think I was twelve, maybe thirteen, I don’t know, my brain is wants me to forgot) I was spending holiday’s at my father house. I borrowed my mum’s phone for the holiday because she didn’t use it anymore and had cool games there.

But one day somone called the phone. And I picked up. It was old man, like my parents, maybe a bit older. He said that he’s friend with my parents and if I’m the little Ellie that he used to carry. I’m saying that I’m sorry that I don’t know him. My father overheard and took the phone and started talking with him. Yes, he was really my parents friend and I was the little Ellie he used to carry when I was a newborn.

And yes, he thought he was gonna call my mother because for some twisted reason he remembered that she existed. Long story short, at the end of the summer my mum and him were dating.

He had two daughters, first a year older and the second seven years younger than me.

And that’s when things went downhill. We stared living with them in the blink of an eye in my brain but I’m pretty sure that it took some time.

He was a religious man. We knew about that. But we didn’t know how he used to beat and manipulate his ex wifes ‘in the name of god’

Soon I was brought to church because as he said, I was uncontrollable and a brat. And he already manipulated my mum so it was very easy for him to do so. He genuinely believed that if he asks a god for forgiveness that god will forgive him. He was praying every night like ‘Father look at this wild child, so rebellious, she never listens to anyone and forgive for saying this, but she’s a brat, please give me the strength to handle her.’

I mean he’s right, I’m a little fight starter and I like to piss people off and I’m autistic so god doesn’t make sense to me and I was thirteen so I was literally like a Young Sheldon and his fact checking. I was questing the Bible just to make them mad and also bcs those things they were saying were in contrary with the Bible to me.

So I was called a Satan child for questioning the Bible, I was walking the wrong path and I was eaten by the darkness.

Once his youngest daughter accidentally misspelled some world and she ended saying that she has a girlfriend instead of boyfriend. They laughed it off but said to not ever be gay. So I said ‘What’s wrong with it?’. It was followed by screaming, even my mum’s, and he screamed the Bible out for me. Dragged me to church the next day and I had to listen to made up stories about how homosexuality is a sin and that I’m old enough to understand it. Then they all prayed for me so I would find my way back to light and god.

Maybe that’s the reason why he told me that I need his hands on my body, to cleanse me from sins and darkness. (I hope y’all know what this means) No, he never used a god to be a bad guy, he’s fucking crazy, has a god complex and does believe that he has some sort of power. I remember how he threw the Tv out of the window because it was the devil’s work.

Or maybe that’s something I want to believe.

It ended up with them breaking up because he said I’m way too much eaten by devil that prayers can’t save me. He used my mum, manipulated her, took her money and brain away and then left us on a street.

I’m wondering if he realises what he did. If he really uses a god to apologize his sins manipulative behavior and if he’s like all aware of it or if he really has a god complex and some psychosis and doesn’t realise any of it.

But he says that he’s a good person because he’s only following God’s words.

Anyway; since that I found the whole Christianity stupid. Because why this kid at church, maybe 4, cried to us that if he’s gonna pray maybe god will forgive him his sins? He’s a kid! Four years old! What kind of sins a kid can have?! And what kind of kind and lovely god is this shit man if he’s letting some assholes like them doing this a kid and make kids believe that they’re bad humans?

I still don’t understand what kind of gaslighting abusive faith is this but maybe im way too autistic to understand it.

Please don’t try to explain the god to me or tell me how Christianity is good, anyone who feels like they need to explain it to me, I don’t give a shit anymore and I hope y’all understand why. Also im very much stubborn and once I make my opinion you can’t change it.

Also once we left I outed myself to my mum, she almost dragged me back to church, she didn’t, but that didn’t stop her from telling me how sinful I am for MONTHS like mf never got tired of running her mouth
