what is it about long-running JRPG series with multiple entries on Steam where you'll go to the community via subreddit or otherwise to see what they think the best game is and all of the comments are like "oh you want to play the best game in the series? well, you won't find it on Steam. the objectively best game in the series (which has the best story ever conceived for a video game) is actually Schlumbo Chronicles 3: The Schmingus, which was released for the PS3/PSP in 2007 and is the only mainline game to never get a rerelease or port despite being considered one of the best games in the series by hardcore fans. sorry about it."

I've been pretty busy with art fight and life in general lately so I haven't been drawing Warriors but I do have a collection of doodles I never did anything with, so here they are!

wanted to play an older pokemon game but I couldn't find my 3DS (its somewhere I just dont remember where i put it last) but I did see my ancient fucking DSi sitting on the shelf so I thought hey why not. I didn't know what the charge was at so I went to plug it in,,, DSi and 3DS have the same port so it should be no prob.... the charger doesnt fit in my DSi. I think well maybe I broke my charger?? I ask my brother if I can use his. Same exact issue.

Then I remember a post I saw the other day, about a guy whos cellphone and charger that had broken each other so that they dont work with anything else.

I go scrounging through my drawers and finally pull out my equally ancient DSi charger. Got this thing with the machine. Lo and Behold, it plugs in just fine.

Hello once again!!!  It's been a full week and I'm here to check up in you! How has this week been? Good, bad, or maybe it was meh. Anything fun you did? Anything less than fun?

Do you have a favorite book? If you do please tell me!!!

This is in relation to last week but I had a wonderful week! I was productive at work and hit a work-iversary so It was exciting. I also have my Zine piece finished and plan to start more projects.

In terms of favorite books, I have MANY! It's thanks to @wrathofnature XD The ones that I'm currently obsessed with are mostly webnovels but I've also been reading some older comedy books. So first of all, big obsession of mine is "Lout of the Count's Family"

It just recently got a physical English release thanks to Seven Seas! I've been reading a fan-translation of the series to keep up with the Korean fans but it's hush hush where I get my sources. The MC of this series is a classic unreliable narrator. This series also has a manhwa with gorgeous art.

Next book I'm currently reading, but need to take constant breaks because it depresses me, "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint"

This is another one where I'm reading fan-translation but it's hard to track down the translations and the English published novel is hard to find. The webcomic is wonderful but I like the written words of the series. The MC is such a sad little pookie.

Sorry I have so many novels I love. Another one is, "Scum Villain's Self Saving System"

it's a comedy BL also published by seven seas! I've actually read the series 5 times now. because the first 4 was some really broken fan-translations and then the final was the official English translation. It's so funny and insane. The tropes in it are great and I love the MC and how he's just an internet troll.

Another one I'm obsessed with is "The Third Wheel Strikes Back"

This is another special fan-translation novel so the sources are hush hush but it's a fun novel and the MC is just a guy who loves food, chilling, and learning healing magic. Somehow he forms a polycule- JK It's super cute and there's also mystery a foot.

For another one I've been really enjoying is the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

It's 40 years old at this point but MAN is it funny! It's kind of insane to see all the ideas in this book and how it inspires other big sci-fi stories.

I used to not be big on reading because I wasn't encouraged to try reading for fun as a kid. I do remember reading for assignments like "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Tangerine", and "The Hobbit" I enjoyed those immensely. I also obsessively read "Goosebumps", "Hardy Boys", and "Nancy Drew" because my child brain couldn't have enough of them. Otherwise, I've just been lurking and stalking on AO3 and fanfiction for my reading :)

my fucked uup little beast . its been through a lot ( got it second hand from an irl friend of mine - boots a little slower bc its been dropped a lot , had to replace the top part of the bottom case bc hinge broke , had to ALSO replace the volume slider , left trigger and eventually gotta do it also the top screen / 3d slider bc i ripped a ribbon a little and the switch broke so i have to keep the parental controls on to keep the 3d off lol )

also not pictured are the zekrom dangler and the zekrom stylus dangler that is VERY well loved to the point the printed on details have near all rubbed off and the sticker is on its way out and i had to put tape around the near tip so it'd click into its little holster . used to have a reshiram dangler but its wing broke and nothing would hold it together :[

Love how you can tell how many Zelda games people have played/know about based on their takes. Like "Oh but Breath of the Wild is the first mainline Zelda game where you can jump on command with a dedicated jump button"

Just found a really interesting interaction where even though the 3ds is backwards compatible if you try to boot it up with Final Fantasy 3 for the ds in the cart slot it just. Won't. Screen turns on but stays black indefinitely. If you turn it off and remove the cart before turning the console back on it returns to normal. No damage. Im guessing this might be a built in response to software the 3ds doesn't know what to do with.

If you try to put the cart in with the console already on it just won't perceive any game in the slot.
