There is a chunk I cut because it didn't fit the flow! Here it is:

A second later, Dipper gets a remote chucked into his lap. 

“You didn’t get a lot of shows back in the ol’ cult digs, am I right?” Bill jabs his thumb at the TV. “No time like the present to start getting caught up!”

A quick overview of the buttons shows him numbers, letters, inexplicable symbols -

And a very small one in the middle left that just says ‘Private’ in Latin.

Dipper raises an eyebrow and taps the last one. Nothing happens. 

Hitting it a few more times doesn’t make the channel change, or a video play, until a moment later he realizes the TV is still off - and in that instant, the remote is plucked out of his hand, leaving blinking at an empty hand.

Damn, Bill’s terribly quick. On the upside, Dipper didn’t flinch this time.

“Nice try,” Bill says, waggling said remote in front of him. He  hits the power button, grinning as the television flickers on, screen filled with vaguely eye-shaped static. “See, there’s a life lesson already! Turn ‘em on before ya go right for the privates.”

With a flourish, he flicks the remote back at Dipper. It nearly hits him in the face, he flubs the catch and it drops back into his lap. Bill doesn’t need to mock him like that, either. He knows how these work, he just - 

Hm. Can’t try that again. The ‘private’ button is missing now.

Dipper glances at Bill out of the corner of his eye, then frowns back down at the stupid piece of plastic. 

Damn it, if he’d hit the right button the first time, he might have gotten some really interesting information. 

Whatever. There’ll be another chance later. If he’s vigilant. Bill can’t hide everything forever.

It might be weird but I like to know from which country people are so I have a rough idea of if they are awake at the same time as me or if I have to wait for nighttime when I want to talk, but I'm too scared to ask so I just try to guess with hints, for exemple you posted what time it was and it was one hour less than for me, and you wrote "coloUring book" so I just guessed UK ?? :')
