Correct! Unless someone takes the eye from him, which I (think) can only be done by Epic gaster himself, he just respawns! Epic can't remove it, even if he wanted too.

ink walks his way up to the cell where the person he wants to visit is waiting for him. to be honest, he's surprised that nightmare has agreed to a visit from him. it is pitiful, seeing the normally self-important self-proclaimed king of negativity get reduced to his uncorrupted form, revealing himself to be just a broken, vulnerable being all along, just like the rest of them.

(some parts of ink quite like how this story ends. some other parts of him... he doesn't know how to think about it, just yet.)

"you."

nightmare growls at him, but without his usual goopy factor, he's way less intimidating, only resembling a scared cat cornered against the wall, which he's actually doing right now.

"hello, nighty," ink smiles. nightmare scowls.

"don't call me that, you- you worm," he hisses. ink notices his face is a bit puffy, his remaining eye socket swollen. someone's been crying then.

"that's a weak insult coming from you, nightmare," ink cheers. "don't tell me you've lost all your bravado in here?"

"after what you did to me?!" nightmare screams. "you two-faced weasel! i know i shouldn't have trusted you!"

"ouch, big words coming from a master manipulator himself," ink chuckles. "at least this isn't so bad compared to what you were planning to do to us, right? three meals a day, good health care, weekly visits from people who care about you. just consider this an early retirement home, nighty."

"i hate you so much."

"love you too, nightlight."

We love the colors and the moodlighting is done so well. The choice in costume is very clever with his scarf as the belt sash and his spooky hoodie <3

The coloring is beautiful along with some extremely unique design choices. Virux in red looks stunning and we especially love the pumpkin theme that was put on TV's tendrils and hoodie <3

We love the dynamic posing and forshortening of his body. The cat costume is super cute and the shading is very nicely done. One of the judges even said "This is phone wallpaper material." <3

wow, headcanon about death, huh? i think ink is the nonchalant one when it comes to death, and nightmare is intensely paranoid about it. since i always love my ships to have some unhealthy artificial bitter flavors to it, i'd like to think ink with their genre-savvy brain can recognize all the death flags that nightmare has, because ultimately nightmare comes from dreamtale, which is dream's story, is it not? which means there's only one way this could end... ink knows nightmare will die in the end, but he'll never tell nightmare that, because what's the point? let's just enjoy what they have right now, whatever weird dynamic this is. and don't think too much about the future, really.
