Feel free to ignore this because I know your inbox gets flooded but if I wanted to commission you to make more canon warrior designs (paying you to post more I guess) is that something you would accept?

I don't know to be honest. I really like that I do these out of driven interest in the series, and while in concept compensation to continue that sounds beneficial, in practice I have a lot of difficulty when it comes to commissions to work out of guilt and obligation (always doing my best work of course) but involving a specific monetary attachment to art I make changes the motivation for me significantly. In full disclosure, paying me for specific canon designs may make this project feel daunting at best, or drive me away from working on it at all at worst. Some people out there will have experienced this phenomenon before, but as an adult newly diagnosed with ADHD I am just figuring out what works best for me in terms of financial compensation, and just employment in general. It turns out, I don't work that well as an independent contractor artist! Just functionally, getting work out when the motivation isn't out of interest, passion or fun, has been really difficult in the past. That does also mean that sometimes the interest is preoccupied by other things, and uploads on this blog lag for a while. I have run a queue in the past but once the queue runs out as it always inevitably does we all just have to wait until my interest swings back around again. And it will, I've been hyperfixated on warriors for a long time now, and despite how many times I say 'this year I'll move on' I just haven't yet lmao. There are too many things that I still want to make that outweigh the negative downsides this specific fandom often has, so I am pretty sure I am in cat hell for the long haul.

This is also not to say that no one can ever request canon cats from me, they have, and I have made lists for requests in the past and completed some of them as inspiration strikes. But I prefer to keep it as a suggestion box and complete those as I get ideas for them, as I think that's how I do my best work on this blog.

All of that said, I do have a patreon that has been functioning as a tip jar for animation related expenses that I accrue as an independent who buys all my animation stuff out of pocket. That includes software licenses, hardware replacements like new tablets, maintenance and unfortunately now that patreon is also taxed, taxes. If you still want to help someone who is neurodivergent, making cat art, and still despite a lot of struggle effectively jobless, I always welcome people who want to contribute to the patreon. I used to try to do rewards, but as this post has already described, that became problematic pretty fast, as I was promising things that I am functionally unable to keep up with in a way that is also healthy for me. So there are things that I upload there as part of my workflow that are behind the scenes works in progress and early uploads, but when it comes to rewards I know I am not the most exciting patreon to subscribe to and I just want people to know that up front. It works best when the monetary compensation is as removed from the final product as possible, otherwise I just get locked up in too much shame.

I have seen people criticize this moment, but let me be the devil's advocate: after seeing years of fans saying that Flopin is the boring twin, or that Eva has no backstory, them getting a problem-causing grandpa is literally so good.

And I think I understand why Flopin did this, since he says himself that he actually feels like the boring twin... I understand why he felt like going with this man, to learn about this guild, and where he comes from.

I loooove comparing all the characters in this show, because it's genuinely a good way to approach Krosmoz, since Tot likes exporing the same themes (immortality/family) over, and over, and over, and over. And what I can say rn is: man, having normal parents makes jealousy-based plots much more tame. Atcham went in a "I want to be great like you, so I need to end you, you don't care about me like I care about you anyway" direction instead of a "I want to be great like you, so I'm gonna leave and work on myself, and then we can stand side by side someday"

I do think he is going to hurt his sister in some major way with this decision and in the end it will be a bitter, or bittersweet memory <3 I believe in the power of toxicity <3

To elaborate on the thing I said about titles, Astra is the ruling queen (to be precise, she is the daughter of the king of Bonta who was mentioned in seasons 1-2 and OVAs, who seems to have passed away); while her wife is either queen-consort, or a princess-consort.

However, Wakfu kingdoms may have worse, weirder rules than real life about inheritance.

The reason I am not getting my panties in a twist about the same-sex aspect of this (besides me supporting toxic royal yuri + being against homophobia or whatever) is that this is a magical universe, idk. they could adopt or get magically pregnant. It's literally a non-issue for me. UNLIKE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTANDING THE CONSORT SYSTEM AND—-

Joris is present in all the kingdoms as Yugo's emotional support mediator/ambassador, except for Brakmar. I assume they simply do not let this fucking man into their palace, and rightfully so. He's literally a Bontarian narc. He'd use that chance to steal documents or some shit.

Btw I find it so funny how he keeps the same neutrally haunted look.

i think he is sort of like a walking contradiction. he does things in the pursuit of his own pleasure, yet his actions always save others who r struggling. he wants to create distance and acts like he doesnt care, and yet he is deeply sensitive. he has no will to live, yet can’t bear to leave others alone. he pushes his views and philosophy onto others, yet he tries to be considerate…perhaps by doing exactly that.

he cant bear the pain, yet if anyone got hurt, he would rather it be himself than anyone else.

he is a hedonist, pursuing things that r pleasurable to himself. he has promiscuous relations with his “friends,” plays around at night, casts illusions within the slums, and drinks away the day and night. he likes fun, thrilling, dangerous games, and his sense of humor stems from his contradictions. but is he really doing all this for himself? to him, escapism is an essential part of life bc life is nothing but a tragedy. if you dont indulge in these pleasures, life will someday crush you. he himself learned tht the hard way and thats maybe why he is quite sensitive to others pain and suffering and wants to relieve them of it. (this is evident from elbie and als first meeting!)

he does it in a way where he can distance himself due to the nature of his curse. again, it all stems back to the mindset of “getting close to them will only hurt them more in the end” bc they will end up forgetting he had ever existed…but he understood and empathized what elbie was going through, and that was why he had stayed with him all these yrs. and even with liam, though he never really meddles deeply, he was able to observe how, when liam needed an illusion, he himself was never in them. in other words, a convenient illusion to liam was one where he was not in this world. and with kate, he knew that she was scared, so thats why he “kept her company” so to speak. but in the end, he cant save himself. he cant forget what he wants to forget, even though he can help others forget their pain, so he is also self-deprecating in that sense.

but, rly, if you stripped away all the outer lyrs, the complications due to his curse and his trauma, at his core he is a very kind and selfless person i believe.

so kind, so selfless, it borders on self-destruction.

here's a shortened version of the link above. for TEG I had notes in all these places:

-one doc was my "working document" where I was working on the current chapter, but towards the end I would put timelines and ch breakdowns and tons of notes at the top of it. here's what the very beginning looks like. when I finished the fic I noted it at the top cuz this was the doc I worked in 99% of the time :)

-one doc where I tried to keep things like worldbuilding and timelines organized. here's a pic of the top of the doc and also of the index

-one doc where I put all the future scenes that were written but we hadn't gotten there yet in the story

-one doc for notes/scenes I didn't need anymore aka the graveyard. it's always good to have a graveyard! that way you don't delete anything. you just move it to here and can cannibalize from it occasionally

-scattered notes done in other programs (all the above were done in OpenOffice), like Photoshop, where I was trying desperately to work out timelines. here's an RTF file lol

here's what the beginning of that RTF file looks like:

-handwritten notes (usually done on scraps of paper at work and brought home to be typed up). I taped them all into a notebook and then later separated them out and taped them to acid-free paper cuz, idk, what if they're historically relevant someday??? I'll probably never be that important but what if?? I had some pics of this but idk where they went

-notes on phone (usually written late at night when I was in bed and too tired to write them any other way). this is my absolute least favorite place/way to take notes. I haaaaaaaate using my phone for anything, let alone writing out things. but I imagine most people use this, and totally do use it if you like it!

ok I wanted to put more pics in here for you but I'm writing this at 5am and I need to get going to work. but yeah. it's a MESS haha. and I really wish it weren't. notes just come and go. I do have a novel writing software that should help with this, but I haven't started using it yet.

In the Kingdom of Lelouch, ruled by Prince Clavis, in the corner of the country lies the only bookstore.

The bookshop, which was set up for me by the man himself after talking to the owner, continues to attract many people today.

However, due to the immigrants and the diverse population, many of the people cannot read.

In order to popularize books, it was first necessary to teach reading.

Boy: “… Someday, I want to learn to read and become a bureaucrat.”

One day, while teaching reading and writing to people gathered at the bookstore,

A young boy not yet old enough to read, spoke his dream with sparkling eyes.

Emma: “Wow, what a wonderful dream. Why do you want to be a bureaucrat?”

Boy: “It’s rewarding and well paid! Plus, I hear it’s really popular with girls.”

(Oh, it was a more sinister motive than I thought.)

Emma: “I see… Who did you ask, by the way?”

Boy: “Prince Clavis!”

???: “Haha, you’ve got potential don’t you?”

Emma: “…Gah!?”

A warm breath caresses my ear and makes me jump.

When I whipped around, there stood Prince Clavis, who was supposed to have left that morning.

Emma: “Please don’t surprise me like that! You almost made my heart stop.”

Clavis: “My God, that’s terrible! We must take care of it right away.”

Clavis: “Most fairytale princesses can be cured with a kiss, but—”

Emma: “No, thank you!”

Boy: “Why are you here Prince Clavis?”

Clavis: “Ah. Wherever my fiancée is, I will also be. Remember that.”

Clavis: “But there is quite a crowd.”

Prince Clavis knew that I was teaching the people in the bookstore how to read.

The rows of desks and the materials that everyone was using were all gifts from Prince Clavis.

His pouting lips didn’t last long.

Emma: “It’s all thanks to the great publicity you’ve given us, Prince Clavis.”

Emma: “Everyone seems to have something they want to do by learning to read.”

(It’s not just the boy who has a dream.)

By learning to read, there become more jobs to choose from.

Perhaps because so many people visit with that hope in their hearts, this place is full of dreams.

Boy: “I’ll definitely become a bureaucrat one day. Prince Clavis, hire me!”

Clavis: “Of course. If you become a man who’s funny enough to make me roar, I’ll have to consider it, won’t I?”

Clavis: “But if you’re satisfied with only one dream, then you’ve still got a long way to go.”

Boy: “What do you mean?”

Clavis: “The more dreams you have, the better.”

Clavis: “You only live once. It would be a waste if your only dream was “I want to be a bureaucrat.” wouldn’t it?”

(That’s one way of thinking.)

(It’s true that your not only allowed to have one dream, and it would be fun to have many.)

Emma: “Did you have any dreams, Prince Clavis?”

Clavis: “Oh, do you want to know? You want to know don’t you. Okay, I’ll tell you.”

(As usual the pressure is strong…)

Clavis: “As a child, I wanted to be the best gentleman on the continent. I also wanted to be an excellent butler.”

Clavis: “I wanted to set up a shot and sell what I liked, and I wanted to be a chef.”

Clavis: “Also, I wanted to be a doctor, and I aimed to become an unprecedented trapmaster.”

Boy: “…That’s too many.”

Clavis: “But I made it all happen in the end, didn’t I?”

Boy: “Really?”

Emma: “Yeah. Aside from the chef, the rest might be true…”

(He’s a tremendous gentleman, he organizes the servants, he runs the shop…)

(he’s as bright as a doctor in medicine, not to mention a trapmaster.)

He’s also become quite skilled at cooking these days, if only he focused on how it looked, his dreams would come true.

(It’s really amazing that you’ve been able to achieve these results while working behind the scenes.)

Clavis: “What do you think? Isn’t it amazing? You’ve fallen in love with me all over again, haven’t you?”

Emma: “I’m in love, I’m in love, Prince Clavis is so cool.”

Clavis: “….”

Emma: “…I really respect you, you know?”

(I just can’t say it without making fun of it because I’m too embarrassed…)

As if running away from the questioning gaze, I turn my heated face away,

Clavis burst out laughing.

Clavis: “Well now, is it Miss Grumpy day today? My fiancée is as cute as ever.”

Boy: “Hey, how can I make so many dreams come true?”

Clavis: “Hahaha, that’s easy!”

Clavis laughed loudly and for some reason hugged my waist—

Clavis: “Do you want to know?”

Emma: “But first, move your hand!”

I tried to shake him off and run away, but I was no match for his strength.

Clavis: “If you won’t make eye contact with me, surely I can at least enjoy your body heat?”

Emma: “Not you can’t! Not in public—”

Boy: “Yeah, yeah I know you’re in love, so please tell me.”

(Hey, you look so unaffected…!)

I’m the only one who’s flustered,

The people gathered as an audience around us were reacting like “Here we go again.”

I was embarrassed to be the only one making a fuss, so I decided to obey and settle into his arms.

Clavis: “Look, take action now.”

Boy: “Right now?”

Clavis: “Mmhmm. From the moment you have a dream, think about what you need to do, and start doing it.”

Clavis: “I’ll do it tomorrow, I’ll do it when… The moment you think that, your dream will remain a dream.”

Clavis: “You don’t have to do anything spectacular. If you take action that leads to your dream, even if it’s trivial…”

Clavis: “It all adds up and naturally, your dreams will come true.”

(Clavis’s way of life is really cool.)

(…ah, I thought he was cool again.)

When I casually look up to see his expression…

Clavis: “…”

(Huh? Why does he look so sad…?)

Clavis’s expression clouded for just a moment, but was quicky replaced with a suspicious smile.

The other people didn’t seem to notice anything unusual, and the boy’s eyes lit up when he heard the story.

Boy: “Well I’ll start studying letters even more now. Miss Emma!”

Emma: “Ah… Yeah. Okay, looks like we’ll be hanging out a lot.”

Emma: “And look, Clavis is here to help too.”

Clavis: “Haha, temporary teacher? Fair enough.”

Clavis: “Emma will cover all of the tuition fees. Everyone, call me Professor Clavis.”

Boy: “Hooray!”

Clavis finally let me go and entered the applauding circle of people.

(I hope that was my imagination…)

That night—

Emma: “—So, this is how I cover the tuition fees?”

Clavis: “Ah, that’s right. My fiancée doesn’t take a bath with me very often.”

(I feel like my heart is about to explode.)

Clavis, who sank into the bathtub in good spirits, embraces me from behind.

At first, I took refuge at the edge of the bathtub, but I half-heartedly accepted his invitation when I couldn’t stretch my legs.

Feeling restless and fidgety,

The fingers around my waist begin to trace the line of my breast.

Emma: “Ngh, watch where you’re touching!”

Clavis: “You don’t like it?”

Emma: “Don’t do that, it’s making me feel hot!”

Clavis: “Haha, that’s tough. But don’t worry, if you get hot, I’ll treat you well.”

Even though he was talking suggestively, he didn’t touch me any further, typical of Clavis’s gentlemanly behavior.

Out of curiosity, but also just as someone who wants to start writing, what word processor do you use? Google Docs, Word, or…? How do you plan fics out (if you do)? Do you write chapters out in the same doc or do you have different files for each? I guess I’m just curious about your process if you don’t mind sharing the logistical bits.

Side note: I feel so awkward writing smut and I get paranoid if I try to write it on Google Docs in the small chance of me being hacked LOL so kudos to you and your steamy sensibilities. I wish I could get to that level of comfortability 😂 perhaps someday…

Lol well I've been writing smut for eight years so whatever shame or self-consciousness I had is pretty much gone. It definitely took time to get there! I'm happy that you want to start writing, and always willing to answer questions about my process.

I use Word. It's just what I've always used for work so I have a familiarity with it and Google Docs doesn't feel quite the same to me. But I do pay for Word every year, so if you're looking for something free just to start out, Google Docs is a good option. I wouldn't say there are any special features that make them different - it's honestly just that I'm used to Word.

I have different files for each chapter because I write chapter by chapter and post as I go. I also have a single Google Doc for each story where I keep notes, dialogue snippets, etc. Sometimes I have a full outline for the fic there. It's my catchall for anything related to that story, and I can open it on my phone or my laptop and quickly jot down ideas.

How do I plan out fics...hmm. I don't think any of my stories totally take the same path. For a one-shot, it's usually just: I have an idea and I sit down and let it flow. I just follow it wherever it goes. Sometimes it's a contained story, sometimes there's space for it to be continued and so I'll continue it if I have ideas for more.

For multi-chaps, I typically have them planned out more. I have the idea, and I often chat with a friend to toss plot points around - I get so many excellent suggestions that way. I'll write down all my notes into a Google doc and then start organizing by chapter. It's okay if I don't have every detail planned out - as long as I have a general idea of what I want in each chapter, I'll go for it. I always have ideas as the story progresses, and it often goes somewhere different than I originally planned. The story fleshes out as I go. Of course, some people like to finish writing the complete fic before they post, and more power to them! I'm not that patient haha.

Lots of cool formatting and technical language as the story delves into Connor's psyche on his journey to deviation, which I think is so cool and really makes the fic stand out. I always come back to this one🥹

slow down, you're doing fine* by jilliancares. Hank helps Connor navigate various emotions post-revolution. I love the slow burn, and I love how the author writes Connor struggling to identify what he's feeling despite knowing the names for each emotion.

Instructions Not Included* by Vinci. Set directly after the revolution, Connor is experiencing strange Feelings and it all comes to a head when he and Hank are forced to go undercover at the Eden Club. Sexy, sweet, and well-written. What more could you ask for!

Skin Deep* by bughnrahk. A canon-universe soulmate AU which I'm admittedly not usually drawn to, but this one is written so well. Hank struggling to come to terms with not only having a soulmate at 53, but an android soulmate, and Connor confronting both the fact that he's alive and the fact that he has a soulmate, is written in such an exciting and captivating way.

the other way to someday* by theslap/bigspoonnoya. Connor is Cole's second grade teacher - his very attractive second grade teacher. You can probably already tell that I'm a sucker for canon fics, but this AU had me crying and laughing and fanning myself the whole way through. A fandom classic

Buried Beneath the Snow* by ConnorRK. MIND THE TAGS, heavy CWs for this fic. Gavin is not a good guy in this. That being said, if you're looking for insanely good writing and characterization, loads of hurt/comfort, Connor whump, and protective Hank, this is your fic. An Eden Club AU set post failed-revolution; Connor is resold as an Eden Club android with no memories of being a deviant hunter, and no memories of Hank. The slow burn and Connor and Hank falling for each other despite Connor having no memories of the time they spent together, and despite the fact that his memory is wiped every 2 hours, has had me crying at 2 am more than once

stargazing by Molias. Honestly, everything by this author is fantastic, so you should definitely check out the rest of their work. But I have a soft spot for this fic and A Secret Singing in Our Fingertips* by the same author. They're both so lovely and sweet and full of emotion; whenever I want to read something that will make me absolutely swoon, I come to these fics.

Seiche by CeilingKiwi. On the other hand, if you're looking to get your feelings hurt this fine MerMay, this is for you. A gorgeous and heartwrenchingly bittersweet merman AU featuring depressed organic!merman Hank and abandoned android!merman Connor, and the ways they try and keep each other from falling apart.

Whole* by blackeyedblonde. This time it's Connor who's injured at work, and they're both more than a little overcome with emotion. I enjoy any story that explores Connor's android features and his ability to feel pain, and the shaky aftermath of tenderness and desperation that follows a grievous injury is something I will ALWAYS eat up.

Underneath the Black Veil: Harrison Gray Ch.2

Harrison: "Come here, you."

Kate: "H-Harry!"

Harrison pulled me into a tight hug from behind and pressed his lips lovingly to the top of my head.

(Oh, I don't know if my heart can take this.)

The smiles of the members that surrounded us grew even brighter as they watched us.

Follower: "What a wonderful display of passion! You two must love each other very much."

Follower: "However, I'm afraid we're going to need a little more time to determine whether you two are truly the right fit for our wedding ceremony."

Kate: "Th-That's fine."

Harrison: "Absolutely."

And so that's how we ended up volunteering at the church for the day.

The organization's members watched us closely as we worked, trying to determine if we truly loved each other as much as we said we did.

It wasn't until we were finally alone that Harry opened his mouth.

Harrison: "You're a terrible liar, you know that?"

Kate: "Listen, I just didn't know how to react when suddenly put on the spot like that!"

Harrison: "Nah, it's fine."

Kate: "So, were any of the members lying to us back there?"

Harrison: "Nope, not a single one. Every single one of them meant everything they said."

Kate: "So... they're innocent, then."

Harrison: "Yup. Looks like the preliminary investigation was right. Their founder's the only one with his hands dirty."

(I see...)

Kate: "So this means if we want him to come out, we really need to make sure this wedding goes through."

But before even that, we had to earn the trust of the regular members.

One of our tasks was to play with the children who had come to the church for the day.

(Okay, it's time to show them just how in love we really are.)

After psyching myself up, we opened the doors to the room where the children were waiting.

A little girl ran right at us and bumped into Harry.

Little Girl: "S-sorry!"

Harrison: "Nah, that one was on me, sorry for not looking. You're not hurt, are you?"

Little Girl: "N-no, I'm fine..."

Harrison: "That's good to hear."

Children: "Woah, he's so cool...!"

(Oh wow, he charmed all of them just like that.)

Little Girl: "Hey Mister, can I be your girlfriend?"

Girl with Braids: "No, I wanna!"

Harrison: "Haha, thanks. But sorry, I'm afraid I can't let you do that."

He grinned and pointed at me.

Harrison: "My heart already belongs to her, you see."

(I know he's playing it up for the assignment but... my heart's still fluttering.)

Harrison: "Though she can be a little awkward sometimes, she's the kindest and most earnest person I've ever met. I just can't take my eyes off her."

Little Girl: "Oh, wow... do you think I'll be able meet someone like that someday?"

Harrison: "Absolutely."

Girl with Braids: "But if you ever break up with her, I'm first in line, okay?"

Harrison blinked before he let out a laugh.

Harrison: "Sorry kiddo, that's not happening in my lifetime."

(Honestly, I was a little worried when Harry asked whether I was really sure about this.)

All this time, I'd been wondering if he simply wasn't interested in marrying me at all, even if it was a fake wedding.

But the truth was, it didn't even matter if we got married or not.

Because...

Harrison: "Hm? You wanna ride on my shoulders? Well you're in luck, the very lovely lady over there happens to be an expert."

Kate: "Huh?! O-Oh, um... bring it on?"

Harrison: "I'm kidding, don't worry. Could you help me out a bit over here, though?"

Kate: "Yes, of course!"

Once we'd thoroughly exhausted ourselves playing with the children, a few of the members invited us to a room in the back.

Kate: "There's so many dresses in here..."

I looked around the room in awe as countless wedding dresses lined the walls everywhere the eye could see.

Follower: "This is your final test. I'd like for you to choose one dress in this room for your girlfriend."

Harrison: "Something that suits her, huh? Got it."

Harry glanced around the room for a moment before pointing to one.

Harrison: "I choose... this one."

Harrison: "I think this dress would suit her the best."

Follower: "Understood. Now then, miss, may I ask you to change into the chosen dress?"

I took the dress and changed before coming back out.

Kate: "How... how do I look?"

Harrison: "...Incredible. Gorgeous, even."

He had chosen a beautiful jet-black dress.

Follower: "Out of the many dresses we offer, why did you choose this one?"

Harrison: "Because no matter how far into the darkness she might fall, she'll always stay true to herself."

Harrison: "Nothing in this world can stain her pure heart. So I thought a black dress would suit her perfectly."

(That's why you chose this dress...?)

Follower: "I see. Then let it be known that the two of you truly do love each other with all your hearts."

And so, the wedding ceremony was to be held at ten in the morning the next day.

After declaring this, the members vanished.

Kate: "We... passed, right?"

Harrison: "Looks like it. We still have a ways to go, but you did good."

Kate: "Oh, thank goodness..."

I breathed a huge sigh of relief before taking another look at the jet-black wedding dress Harry had picked for me.

Kate: "I, um... was actually a little worried when you asked whether I was sure about this."

Kate: "I thought you'd have no interest in getting married."

Harry stayed silent.

Kate: "I'm not going to lie; I've always loved the idea of getting married someday. But I recently discovered something even more important."

Harrison: "And what's that?"

Kate: "That as long as we're together, I'll be the happiest woman in the world."

Harrison: "...I see."

Kate: "Yup! So let's do our best tomorrow, okay?"

Harrison: "Make sure you stick close to me, okay? I don't want you getting hurt."

The following day, I donned the beautiful jet-black dress once more.

And together with Harry, I made my way to the wedding chapel.

It wasn't long before a man emerged, wearing glasses and a kind smile.

(So this is the man who's been killing all of those couples.)

Leader: "Hm? Where is everyone? Where are my followers?"

Harrison: "There's a second chapel behind this one, isn't there? That's where everyone is."

Harrison: "I lied and told them the ceremony's been moved there, starting from eleven o'clock instead."

Leader: "W-Wh..."

Leader: "Just who are you two?!"

Kate: "Who are we? We're just two people who love each other with all our hearts."

Harrison: "Just like all the couples you killed."

The founder's eyes widened.

Harrison: "We found the bodies last night. There's so squirming your way out of this now."

Harry pulled a gun out of his breast pocket and pointed it at the man.

Harrison: "I gotta tell the bride something real important after all this is over."

Harrison: "So let's make this quick."

Ooo, Taliesin's Gate questions, sign me up. Here's a few (very earlygame only, so as to avoid spoilers): 1. How would you find Taliesin postcrash? 2. How would he react to the knowledge that there's a tadpole in his head? 3. How would he react to finding out what ceremorphosis does, and that he's got 7 days to live? 4. What would his default camp clothes/tent space look like? 5. Are there any companions that would get a "Taliesin disapproves" blip for adding to the roster?

So I'm unable to play Baldur's Gate III due to lack of space on my computer, but I can use my imagination and I have my Astarion replace for Taliesin to fill in the gaps. ;__;

Maybe someday, I'd love to make a Taliesin Tav and do a playthrough as how Taliesin would.

I honestly don't know how to answer this one because I can't play the game so I'm unaware of the maps or names of the land.

2. Oh absolute DRAMA! He would feel VIOLATED to no end, probably constantly taking baths or looking up herbal remedies in a spiral of declining denials thinking it's something simple like the flu. "Maybe...if I take a REALLY hot bath and dunk my head in it, it'll die! Yes that's what I'll do! It's so simple! haha!"

3. Like the Debbie Downer he is during times of crisis where HE'S personally affected, Taliesin immediately vers into the negative side of things. Coming to the conclusion that they're not going to make it and makes a bucket list of things he wants to do before turning. Maybe a new hair cut? Trying something new? Admitting or becoming more forward with his feelings and opinions. Things like that, he lets go of doubt because he's out of time and just does things without a second thought.

4. Even when out on the road, Taliesin really doesn't have a clear definition of "casual" in his dictionary. He might wear something ridiculously flamboyant and not very appropriate for camping! He may need to be taken shopping for something better down the line!

His tent space he'll keep organized. His tent style would probably look like the classic tents you'd see around the War camps of Skyrim, tall with a cot, several boxes set up for makeshift shelves where he can books lined up. A few fur blankets to keep himself warm and comfy, a little tea set on a tiny table, a rug to keep himself separated from the dirt, and another table where he can sit down and work on Berwhale, sharpening and cleaning him to make sure he's ready to do some stabbing! and a little area where Naomi can keep close and rest herself.

Ah I don't use any streaming services for my music, I don't trust them like an old coot :B All my music is saved on my computer in a gigantic Winamp playlist organized chronologically. I've thought idly sometimes about setting up a youtube version of it but...

Yeeaaaaah it turns out if you collect music for 20+ years and never delete anything you end up with a ridiculous amount haha. But! I do have a few little music things you can check out! Maybe you'll find something you like on them.

Those Responsible/Outer Loop - A FST of songs that inspired different parts of Vargas and the sidefics. These should be fairly lowkey if that's what you're after.

Ladyverse FST Volume 2 - A massive amount of songs associated with the ladies in various states - infected, cured, survivors... the first volume is here, I apparently never posted it on Tumblr it seems.

Refresh CDS - CDs I burned for driving in the car. I called them Refresh since they were rewritable CDs and I'd tweak and finetune them over time. There were a lot of these before I got my current car that supports iPods! Then I switched to a general "Car" playlist. But I had a lot of fun making these! They bring back such clear memories of certain periods of time. Each CD progresses from hyper to solemn.

I have an interest in Greek mythology as well, so I don’t mind the discussion in the slightest. It is cool that she is both an agricultural deity and a chthonic one: life and death. Seeing how her absence from Earth is associated with winter, I find it somewhat distantly related to your name “Snow White” as well.

You are not bothering people just by discussing your problems with them. If they are unable to support you or don’t care, it is on them to communicate that. Also, even though you believe your struggles are comparatively “not that bad,” that does not make them any less worthy of addressing if it bothers you. However, I am glad you seek support from your family and friends. Do you feel that being independent and primarily trying to solve issues on your own has been effective thus far? As someone who also does not typically seek others for help, oftentimes it can be lonely or inefficient.

I would say I don’t have nearly as much pride or impulsiveness as Anakin, but I find his intense fear of loss and subsequent obsession in regard to Padmé relatable. He is a fascinating character and somehow both extremely smart and childishly naïve in some aspects. In all honesty, I think I share more traits with Obi-Wan, only less morally upright and more inclined to bend or break rules.

I hear you are learning Russian (for the accent)? Knowing so many as many languages as you do is impressive. How do you typically approach learning new languages?

But when it comes to emotional struggles, it’s a different story. I often get stuck in analysis paralysis or feel completely overwhelmed, and I can’t always pull myself out of that on my own.

I also hesitate when it comes to trusting others’ advice because I’m not always convinced they fully understand the heart of the issue. So… it can feel a bit isolating at times. How is it for you, though?

I can see why you might find Obi-Wan relatable (does the humour factor in as well, by the way?). Personally, I feel I relate more to Qui-Gon Jinn. I’ll keep it gender-neutral here, as there aren’t many female characters in the prequels. Besides, the women in Star Wars often seem so self-assured and authoritative, which doesn’t feel particularly representative of me. That said, you’re always welcome to suggest another character if you think someone else might suit me better.

I actually started learning Russian because I wanted to read Russian works in their original language someday, but… it doesn’t seem like a realistic dream so far, unfortunately. I’ve been really inconsistent lately. At this rate, it might take me a couple of years, haha. Thank you very much for the compliment, but I don’t think I’m particularly gifted at learning new languages. I’ve just been watching a lot of movies in the language I’m trying to learn, which worked for me with French (though it didn’t help with my inconsistency… but anyway, I can at least understand conversations, right?). The same isn’t really possible with Russian, though, because there’s censorship and, generally, a lack of Russian media here in Germany due to the current situation. I hope that’s at least a little helpful.

The reason I’m trying to fake a Russian accent is simply because I find it attractive. I actually tried following your guide to a Slavic accent. Believe it or not, it works. Hahaha.

Regarding my academic field—yes, I’m comfortable sharing, and thank you again for being so sensible. I originally wanted to study psychology because I’ve always been passionate about it, and I hope to eventually become a psychologist. However, due to some issues with matriculation, I would have had to wait about four semesters to enroll. I could have attended another university, but that would have required moving, which wasn’t really an option for me. So, rather than doing nothing while waiting, I decided to matriculate in art history, as it made the most sense under the circumstances.

I’ve always had a strong interest in philosophy and art history as well, but psychology remains my primary focus. I’ll likely pursue it after completing my current studies. I’ll probably finish everything by the time I’m 30… so maybe finding a rich husband wouldn’t be such a bad idea after all. No responsibilities—it does sound rather appealing, doesn’t it? Hahaha.

Edit: I don’t think I’ve said this before—in fact, I checked and I really haven’t—but I genuinely like this letter format. It feels like receiving real letters, haha. Not many people do that here. Also, I’m actually curious about things regarding you too, but I’m not sure if I should ask since you’re quite discreet about yourself (and I can totally understand why), which is why I’m holding back a bit.

👾 Do you have any "bad" writing habits you want to break?

I don’t know if this is a bad habit or if this is just something I see people often saying is something you shouldn’t do and me not really seeing the big deal: at a certain point in the writing process, especially when I’m really starting to struggle with squeezing the blood out of that stone, I’ll start rereading and editing what I have written so far, which usually helps me feel productive more confident, which will then usually inspire me to finish the rest.

But, as a result, that means sometimes I end up with an otherwise completed draft that has like, a whole scene missing LOL… it may possibly bite me in the butt someday if I do a too-quick & shoddy patch job or if writing the missing scene ends up forcing me to rewrite bits I’ve already “finished”… but YOLO I guess :) Maybe inefficiency is why I’m often so slow :)

Oh wait, this was supposed to be about bad habits I actually WANT to break, huh… mmm I want to get better at reminding myself that prose doesn’t have to all be technically correct and lyrical when it’s more natural for the narrative voice to be looser and more colloquial… I need to learn to be less stiff when it’s necessary!

I think what I have going on now is pretty effective for me… I do all my writing and/or projects on scrivener nowadays and you can’t really beat having every chapter/scene document, inspo board, notes & outlines etc organized all together in one project folder. I have my little typewriter style keyboard that sparks joy when I write at home… and I have my weekly cafe trips so I have opportunities to write without interruption in a quiet place.

Perhaps this goes hand-in-hand with the previous “bad habits” question but I suppose if I did change anything I would figure out a way to make my use of scrivener more efficient/productive… it seems like a lot of people say they’re not actually sure what the program is really capable of and everyone just gets it to fit their needs via trial & error… So sometimes I’m not sure if I’m using a roundabout, wooden stick and duct tape solution to an actual feature… like for example when I talked about revisiting my writing in the middle of a draft I often paste the whole project into a new separate document… I probably don’t HAVE to do that and scrivener has a way of tracking changes from draft to draft but oh well *shrug emoji* I like to mentally reset and start fresh after a while.

I haven’t talked about WTDF chapter 9 yet but some things happening in that chapter are Achilles & Patroclus having A Talk after Patroclus found out some things in chapter 7, Theseus & Asterius Hadesgame making their debut appearances, and some choice scenes from the Trojan war that I suppose would best be described as Achilles character discourse in prose form… so hopefully interesting! I should really make WTDF my top priority next year because if I can just get half of the remaining chapters finished, we’ll be in a nice place in the narrative by this time next year and I would really like for that to happen and I know you all would like that too :)

I don’t usually have a list of tropes in mind when I come up with ideas haha it’s usually scenarios (idk, in my mind there’s a difference) and I work backwards to figure out which tropes apply only after writing the thing. That said I do sometimes think it might be interesting to try out some classic/cliche fanfic tropes just to say that I did them: only one bed, 5+1, maybe even a coffee shop au?? BUT that said again idk if this is necessarily something I have to get done this year (or ever?) As always it’s just whatever and whenever inspiration strikes… I’m definitely not driving the car :)

Legolas and Gimli make it all the way to the Undying Lands before they start smooching, because it's not until they get there and meet some folks who didn't know them the whole way through their relationship, and thus aren't already inured to the two of them being Like That, that one (or more) of said folks asks Legolas "how long they've been wed" and Legolas is like "omg what? haha no, we're not...married...we're...oh."

So he asks his mom if she thinks Gimli like-likes him, maybe? Because he never thought about it before, but now that he is, he thinks that would be really cool actually!? Do you think there's any chance that this guy who literally left everything and everyone he ever knew and loved to come here and live with me forever in a place where no dwarf has ever been before, leaving behind all of his people forever, might sort of fancy me a bit too...?
